Order Data Warehouse / Customer Master Configuration Doubt
What is "Front End Unit" ? I have to configure this in the Customer Master, but do not know where? Also I need details of how to configure Channel, Sub Segment in customer master.

Hi,
Yes,for this there are two options.
1.By using the T.Code:SE91.
Enter the class as V1 and number as 423.
Click on Change.
Click on where used list.
Check programs and uncheck all.
Enter.
A list of programs will be displayed.If you double click on any program then,the lines where it is used are displayed.
Identify your warning message line.
Double click on it.
Change it from W to E before the numebr 423.
Save.
2.Unassign the block assigned for your customer in XD05 for your sales order type.
Suppose 01 is the block assigned for your customer.
Goto SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Sales>Sales Documents>Define and assign reason for blocking.
Assign reason for blocking.
Suppose "OR" is your document types.
Delete the entry 01,OR in this table.
Save.
In this case for this order type,you can create or change the order even though the block is assigned to it.

Customer Stat. Gr - This is recommended to be maintained to enable the data to flow to SAP standard report.

Order Combination - Maintain the tick
Shipping Condition -Take a drop down & maintain the appropriate for Delivery purpose.

Incoterm - Take a drop down & select. Maintain the Description manually.

Account assignment Group -Take a drop down & maintain the appropriate. This is very important to be maintained, else it will give an error to release the billing document to accounting.
Tax - Take a drop down & select 0 or appropriate.

Sales order block in customer master
Hi Gurus,
There is one requiremnet from client.
_Create one additional Sales Order Block which is maintained in the customer master and prevents order creation for these customers._
Can any one tell me where is sales order block in customer master.

You can block the customer centrally or for the required sales areas using XD05. this is one option.
As i understand additional block at sales order for this customer means you can set the customer credit limit as say 1 $ assuming any of the material that is sold is above that, the system does the credit check and blocks the order. How do you want to deal with this block you can think in terms of credit management settings. This is config.
But if you want to set a block at the sales order dynamically for the required some customers, then you need to implement an user exit like, Userexit_save_document. the authorised users can go in VA02 and remove the block. But to identify in the user exit logic which customer you want to block you need to maintain some master at customer master level.
Anyways let me know if this idea helps you so that i can guide furhter.

How to Copy Sales Text Data from Customer Master to Sales Order.

I have Completed Configuration for Central Text for Customer Master for two texts 1)Additional Attachments 2) Wooden Packing
I got these two fields in Customer Master.
I need these data to be copied from Customer Master to sales order. But i am unable get these two in to sales order.
Steps which I have done for Text Determination.
1) Text Id in for Text Object KNA1
2)Placed Text Id in Text Procedure and assigned this procedure to Customer Account Group.

In this IMG activity, you define the rules for text determination. You must carry out the following steps:
Select a text object and define the rules for text determination for this object. Text objects are, for example, the sales texts in the customer master record or the sales document header.
Define the permitted text types for every text object. If the text types contained in the standard SAP R/3 System are not sufficient, create new ones.
Define the access sequences. This way, you define how the SAP System should determine the texts for a text type.
Group the text types together in text determination procedures. The SAP System then proposes the text types from the procedure when you maintain a customer master record or a sales & distribution document. The search for the respective text is carried out using the access sequence which you have stored for each text type in the procedure.
Allocate the text determination procedures so that a procedure applies to the following criteria in each case:
account group customer
sales & distribution document type

Change in Sales Order/Service Order is updating customer master data
Hello Experts,
Here is the change happening in CUSTOMER MASTER RECORD for very few number of cases. This we are not able to replicate, since not able to find out, in which cases it is happening.
Scenario:
When the user tries to change address in customer screen (For eg., NAME2,NAME3 ,NAME4 etc.) of change transactions (VA02 OR IW32), the same change is being reflected or updated in the customer master record.
Note : We tried again doing the change(For the already changed order) in change transactions (VA02 OR IW32) and found that the change was not updating customer master, this time.
Hence, not able to replicate. Kindly suggest.
Resolvable suggestion would be highly appreciable.

MaheshI never heard of this before. Per standard, only when customer master address is changed (master data), the changes will reflect in the documents (transactional data). Your scenario reflects the other way round. Hence you may need to debug the program SAPMV45A and see any enhancement is causing this.

Automatic creation of Company Code and Sales Area Data for Customer Master
Hi,
We have a organisation structure setup with multiple company codes and sales areas.
A customer will be created using VD01 via the Sales Order VA01. Because the customers are created using VD01 we need to automatically extend the customer for the various company codes and sales areas. The data on these views will be populated using reference customers.
Any recommendations on the best approach (technically) to auto extend the customer master would be appreciated.
I'm reluctant to use BDC's because of performance. We are in a Retail environment.

Additional data in Customer master to be mandatory field

I've a requiremnt of setting the additional data fields as mandatory in Customer master "Sales area" data.
I have checked in the standard config were there is no settings related to additional data in the Std configuration
(account group)
Finaly, I found an include program - LV02ZOKV for this requirement to do the changes through ABAP programe.
(to activate field us Mandatory)
May I know is this the correct approach for this requirement or in case if you have better requirement could
you please share with me to avoid the unnecessary impacts.

Sales Order Error No customer master record exists for sold-to party

I am trying to create a sales order in IDES. Unfortunately it is showing me error: No Customer master exists for sold to party. Now I have already checked my assignments, combined sales area in vor1 and vor2. Checked PDP ( In PDP I have creates partner functions as z2, z5, z6, z7). I have also checked in XD02 and XD03 and in partner function tab it shows as maintained. Please help as I am still not able to create it.Dear Phanikumar,
I am not sure whether we can create a customer for a future date or not.
I might sound absurd but suggested this solution because I had faced a similar issue while I was working on a remotly supported IDES server which I was using for practice purpose.
Now the case was that, I had created some customers few days back, lets say on 01.03.2014 and today the administrator of the server changed the date & time of the system from 11.03.2014 to 11.03.2013 bymistake.
Hence when i was trying to create orders for a customer created on 01.03.2014 i was not able to do so as the system was throwing an error customer does not exist.
I am sorry if I have suggested something awkward or wrong, intention was to provide a solution.
Please correct if I have suggested someting wrong.

Company Code data in Customer Master

In which scenarios, the customer master will be created only with general data and sales area data.
Why in such scenarios the company code data is not included.

RamBusiness might have clients/Cusotmers exist across the country or with various branches. But Procurement & payment of procured goods will be done only by Head Office, not by the branch offices.
in such case, Head Office treated as Sold to, Bill to & payer, where as all branches treated as Ship to. So these branch offices need not have Company Code data maintained.
All or Few branches may not have access to place the order. Even if Sold to party is different to Payer, then there is no need to maintain Company Code data for those Sold To.
This is very normal in any business.

Payer is different in sales order than in customer master
Hi Sap Gurus,
While I am creating a B1(Rebate credit memo requst) the payer is different from customer master.
e.g Suppose the payer in customer master is 100000 & sold to party is 100085 but in sales order the payer is getting changed to 100085.
But when I create a normal CR(credit memo request) in sales order it is showing the same payer as in customer master.
I have checked in VBO2 the rebate receipient, it is 100085.However when I changed the rebate receipient to 100000 all the partner funtions are getting changed to 100000 in sales order.
I also tried creating a B1 document with a customer other than 100085, in sales order the payer is same as in customer master.
I am facing problem when I try to raise B1 documnt type for this particular customer i.e 100085.
Need your help badly.

SumitIn case, for your sold to party 100085, if you have assigned payer as 100000, in sales order the payer should be 100000.
If not check your settings as to why you are getting payer as 100085 -
How to synchronise contact person data from customer master to Bus partner.
Can someone please explain how we can synchronize contact persons from customer master to business partner data.
Are existing contact persons of customer are automatically created as Business partners(persons) when we do the synch.
Can MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT be used for this purpose.
I have some existing customers whose contact persons data is not already reflected in BP. How can I do that.

I think the BP data will change with the changes in the critical fields of the customer master. Try chaning certain fields in the customers where you want the data to be updated. Hope that will work. Other wise you need to look out to do a mass update on the BP.
