Order status for Creative Cloud memberships and CS6 subscriptions

I didn't recieve the CS6 id, and the Chat Man said it doesn't exist for my account. He thought I got duped. When I sent him the link to the dates of purchase allowing for the upgrade he said this was only applicable if I was given the second order number for CS6. Therefore I was not going to get the upgrade. So I finally got someone on the phone, Maria, although she was in tech support, because sales was not avilable, she hunted down the challenge in about a half hour and got me an order id. But if you are stuck in the loop trying to find accountability at Adobe. Just keep calling until you get Maria :O) she fixed it! But customer service at Adobe is a lot like Apple, where you first gotta find the number and then sit through a lot of irrelevent content and be transfered around before your call is dropped and then hopefully on the third, fouth try, you can hopefully find somebody who got the memo and will stay with you till the challenge is resolved.     Those are two separate monthly subscriptions to individual apps allowing you to cancel at any time. It's the most expensive but the most flexible way of subscribing.
    Creative Cloud is a collective term for a subscription to the entire Master Collection of apps plus all the extra products and services which come with the entire Cloud membership. http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/creativecloud/tools.html
    If you definitely only want one app then a standalone subscription is the way to go.
    If you want at least two apps, then a yearly Cloud membership is cheaper overall.
    Which country are you in? Cloud memberships are not available in all countries.

    I have the month-to-month Creative Cloud membership and am curious if I would be able to cancel my Creative Cloud membership and still have access to everything still involved with my Photoshop downloaded onto my computer?

    If you have licensed versions of software that you purchased separately from your Cloud subscription you can still use them.  There is a chance that the Cloud will have taken over for them in which case you may have to uninstall, clean things up, reinstall.

    You dont need perpetual license. Creative cloud membership entitles you to get Lightroom 5. Please do check that you meet the the system requirements of Lightroom: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html. If you don't have Creative cloud Membership, you can get the perpetual licence/subscription of Lightroom 5 from the link I just gave.

    The license allows YOU to install on a 2nd computer... it does not allow someone else to use your license

    I do not  know how it is done, but you MAY be able to buy her a regular subscription and pay with your credit card... just not the Education version that has strict requirements

  • Why is the download speed for Creative Cloud updates and initial software installation so slow?

    Why is the download process for Adobe Creative Cloud updates and initial installations so slow? I can download and update other software from other providers almost an order of magnitude faster. This slow download problem has been present since I started using Creative Cloud soon after it was initially offered.
    Adobe customer support maintains that there is no throttling at Adobe's end, and that no one has complained about this problem -- this forum shows the latter not to be true.
    What is the problem?

    I don't think I've ever checked the download speed but the installers are definitely large files, many several GB. It might seem longer because the download immediately progresses into the installation at 50%

  • Double-charged for Creative Cloud Membership - I need a refund!

    My student subscription was automatically cancelled and switched to a regular subscription. Adobe never told me, but I saw on my bank statement that I had been charged $24.99 instead of $14.99.
    When I first contacted Adobe and asked for a refund, the customer support rep told me to simply cancel my old subscription and create a new student subscription with my student account. I did this, and then I was charged a FURTHER $14.99 under this new subscription, for the 'new month' that I had already been charged for (that was the original $24.99 payment).
    I have now tried twice to contact Adobe's support service, and both times I have heard excuses such as 'There is a technical fault with our systems - when I try to refund you $24.99, it only lets me refund you $14.99' or 'I will escalate this to a higher team member'. I have yet to hear back from Adobe and it has now almost been a month since the double charge, and I am worried I am going to be charged AGAIN (or worse, twice again) in the next month if I don't get this resolved.
    Please assist, and in future, please tell your customers before you start charging random balances to their credit cards.

    An email is sent 30 days prior to the annual renewal date with details of the renewal price.  Sometimes this might go to your spam/junk folders so it's worth checking there.
    When you signed up for Creative Cloud at the promotional price, the offer terms would have explained that the promotional price is valid for 12 months and then you renew at the standard price for that plan.

    you can install and use on up to two computers at any one time with your single-user license so you need not sign out from your old computer's cc app.

    Discontinued my creative cloud membership, uninstalled Acrobat XI, and installed a brand new, purchased version Acrobat XI, but when I try to open it, I get a message saying I must renew creative cloud. This is a free standing program, and it IS installed. What do I do?

    You may need to uninstall the Cloud (not just stop using it) and then run the Cleaner to remove all vestiges... and then reinstall Acrobat

    You may buy an annual subscription and pay monthly, or a straight monthly subscription... and, being a subscription, if you stop paying the software stops working

    Why is only 2gb Storage showing for my Creative Cloud account when I have paid for the Photography plan and should be entitled to 20gb?

    The new Creative Cloud Photograph plan and Photoshop Photography Program are two different plans with different entitlements. The Photoshop Photography Program was a limited time offer and the Creative Cloud Photography plan is a permanent offering.
    Why are the offerings in Creative Cloud Photography plan different from the Photoshop Photography Program? For example, the new plan has 2 GB of storage when PPP offered 20 GB. Also, the original PPP offering provided users with a Behance pro membership, which CCP does not.
    Are you sure you do have the old program? Can you check on your order...
