Ordering an iPhoto calendar in a different country

I made a calendar in iPhoto and tried to place an order in the US as it is a gift to relatives in the US. I am in Canada and tried to pay with my credit card but I won't accept my information (postal code not valid).
Am I limited to buying it in Canada (more expensive) and possibly incurring duty or taxes in the US?
It would be a lot simpler to have it printed in the US.

From what I understand one can only ship to the same country as the billing address on the credit card used.

    Customers with Australian billing addresses can ship photo orders to any address in Australia. Apple Photo Services does not currently offer shipping from Australia to other countries at this time.

    Maybe - did you preview the calendar -
    Before ordering your calendar preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered calendar will match it.
    What is the printed size of the image and what are it's pixel dimensions - it need to be no less than 150 DPI for a good, clear print
    You can contact Apple at the address included in your  order confirmation email and see what they will do - but if the picture is too small reprinting will not help

  • IPhoto calendar ordering problems

    Hi all,
    I have been having serious problems ordering an iPhoto calendar.
    First, I ordered it on Monday using express shipping, such that it should have arrived by Friday, and instead on Friday I got a cryptic email saying "Apple is unable to process your order and you will not be charged. We recommend updating your software, previewing your print product in iPhoto or Aperture, and placing the order again." (My iPhoto is fully updated and I've ordered calendars before with no problem.) I spent about 30 very frustrating minutes on the phone with Apple (worst customer service experience I've had with them) trying to get an explanation, but got none, and ultimately they told me I should re-place it and they'd give me free overnight shipping when they saw my order (nice enough...).
    I'm now trying to re-order and am repeatedly getting the message "Your credit card information could not be verified at this time," no matter the card I use. Has anyone had either of these problems? Any advice? I am loathe to get on the phone with Apple again given the number of times it took to even reach someone who knew anything about print products.
    I'm at the point of dropping Apple's print products entirely and going with another provider in the future. The ease of using iPhoto to make calendars is totally outweighed by this ordering and shipping ridiculousness...

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Contact Apple via this link: http://www.apple.com/support/iphoto/customerservice/calendars/. Lay out the problem in detail and submit. You should hear back from them in 1-2 days.
    Also log into your account thru the Store button at the top and then the Youre Account on that page, as opposed thru iPhoto, and see if you can confirm your account that way without an error.

  • Problems with Calendar order from iPhoto

    I've tried twice to create a calendar out of iphoto and I've gotten a response via email after several days that there was a problem with the order:
    Apple discovered an issue with the file you submitted. It appears the
    calendar has small month names. As a result, Apple is unable to process
    your order and you will not be charged.
    We recommend updating your software, changing the theme on your print
    product, then changing it back to the original theme.
    Once completed, preview your print product in iPhoto, and place the
    order again.

    There are no updates for my OS or iPhoto. I changed themes and went back to the original (and had to rebuild it all over again, grrrr). Any ideas what could be causing this?

    I had the same problem, and this bug in iPhoto cost me my yearly christmas presents for all of our families (grandparents, aunts, uncles etc.)
    By digging through this forum, I found the solution that actually worked for me.
    But I will not order the calendars from Apple because they cancelled the calendars three times without telling me what the problem was, and endless and numerous calls with different support people at Apple gave no solution.
    I will now export PDFs and send them to a different service.
    Maybe in your case there is another project.db file?
    Sometimes, when iPhoto rebuilds databases, it seems that it creates a second one.
    (I read it here somewhere in the forum - so I hope this could be a good hint to follow)

    I know this is going to be kind of a stretch, but worth a shot..
    Can I pre order a apple product from my home country (usa) and pick it up in store in a different country?  I'm currently living in Korea, but would like to avoid the heavily marked up price for the new Ipad Mini.

  • Allow others to order iPhoto calendar via Apple Photos Services (or other)

    I thought I saw this option somewhere, but I have an iPhoto calendar that I've printed through Apple Photo Services for myself. I now want to make that cal available for others to print without having to be involved in placing the order for them. Is that possible? Ideally, they would not even need a .mac account, but could order as a guest. If Apple does not offer this service, does anyone know of a short-run printer that will take the PDF and make a cal of it? Fed Ex/Kinko's does not have a lot of info on their site for that kind of thing. I will call them shortly.

    Thanks Terence. I assume the file is stored on the Apple server for 4 weeks (in which time it is removed), so I'm unclear why they can't assign it a unique number and allow me to send that number to my mom who can use it to order the cal. That does not seem impossible to me and could help Apple make more money on prints.

    go to upgrade and this is hwat it says. I have been online to check out oters answers and have tried everything suggest and still no good. i did just get a letter saying my information had been illegally found by someone. Can they ahve changed my settings without me knowing it.

  • Issue with processig calendar order in iPhoto 8 for Mac

    Hi,
    I have iPhoto 8 on my Mac. I created a calendar but when I want to order the calendar I get an error message saying that they can no longer process orders for iPhoto 7. So I'm not able order the calendar.
    I cannot upgrade to the latest version of iLife because my laptop is too old.
    I installed iPhone on my iPad but in this app you cannot create calendars.
    Any suggestions?

    Small clarification:
    You have iPhoto 08 - that's a Marketing name, the actual version of iPhoto is v7
    iPhoto 09 is a marketing name - the version of iPhoto is v8
    And iPhoto 11 is actually v9 of iPhoto
    And of course none of that is remotely confusing in the slightest.
    So there are two versions of iPhoto you can upgrade to - 09 and 11 - that will run on 10.6.8 and still allow you to order prints. You can run all version of iPhoto 09 on 10.6.8 and any version of iPhoto 11 up to v9.2.3.
    And again, that's all clear and simple to follow, right?

    Looking for a way to order 3 seperate calendars on 1 order through iphoto. Appears that they are purchased one at a time, with seperate shipping/handling fee for each.  Must be a way to order more than one on an order.  I am using IMac - OS X Mavericks.

    You can't. Multiple copies of one order can be combined, but not multiple orders.

    I have Iphoto 9.2.1. When I click on buy book or buy calendar, the "your order" page that comes up doesn't show my product (see screenshot attached below)

    Can you reach any store in the US at all? Is the region in the System Preferences set to US as well?
    Have you enabled "Express Checkout" at the Store?
    At the top of this page is a "Store" menu item. Click it, to check your account settings with the US Apple Store. Make sure, this link will indeed take you to the US Store and not the Singapore store.
    Click the "head" icon beside your account name and view your account. Enter all settings again, don't just check them. There may be invisible characters.  And enable Express-Checkout.
    You are having a double complication by trying to buy from a store in a different country, and from an older iPhoto version, that was written, while still 1-click ordering was required. I cannot try to reproduce your setup, sorry.
