Ordering Caller Display

Dont know if anyone can help - am in work until last and cant ring from here.  I have been trying to order caller display for my account but the website just leads me round in circles and never actually orders anything after numerous times entering my phone number and post code I've gone potty.
Had an online chat with an advisor and after explaining what had been happening she gave me to the exact same page and I went round in circles again.
Any mods on here that can sort it for me?

You could try to order from that page.

  • Caller Display disappeared after I ordered Privacy...

    I have always had Caller Display as a call feature. I recently found out that you can have Caller display for free under Privacy at Home, so I cancelled the paid feature and ordered Privacy at Home instead. I have received written confirmation from BT, and Caller Display disappeared, despite having Privacy at Home!! I dialled *#234# and received the message that "the service requested is not available". I want Caller Display even if I have to pay for it, but when I logged onto Change Calling features, I could not find the option "Caller Display". What's happening? Can someone help?

    Seems that since you ordered privacy on line they have forgot to add the caller display option.
    Give the service dept a call on 0800 800 150, and explain what has happened.

  • Caller Display - Privacy at Home - unable to order

    I would like to order Privacy at Home. I have tried to order online, via my account, but I don’t think this has been accepted. I kept getting error messages at the end of the process.
    I have been trying to access my ‘Calling Features’ online for two days. Each time I get the message:
    “Sorry, we can't change your Calling Features at the moment.
    Sorry, we can't access your account information at the moment. Please try again later.”
    I have tried telephoning the order line - 0800 916 5544 – quoted here:

    and get the message:  “the number you have dialed has not been recognised”.  
    I have called this number numerous times.
    I have sent feedback to this effect twice.
    I have completed the pop-up survey on the BT website and repeated the information.
    If the online ordering isn’t working, and the ordering phone number isn’t correct, how am I going to order this feature?
    I am already registered with TPS and simply want caller display. Perhaps someone here could help me?

  • Caller display won't work since i've swooped to BT

    I have a PANASONIC cordless trio phone set, caller display worked fine untill we swooped to BT Broardband and Phone package. I have checked the phone line without the filter still no display can anyone help.

    Hi Cobra,
    It is possible the caller display facility hasn't followed you across from your previous service providor.
    You can check this by dialling *#234# this will tell you if the service is active (caller identity will be displayed) or not (caller identity will not be displayed).
    If not active try dialling *234# to activate, if the message says 'this service is not available' (or something along these lines) the the facitliy is not rented on your account and you will have to call BT to arrange or log on to BT.com to order through the net.
    The fault teams on 0800800151 can order this or you can call the sales teams directly on 0800800150.

  • Caller Display etc. requested, not got.

    How long should it take to get Caller Display once the order has been placed? I requested this service last Wednesday, 04/02/2015 along with my BT Sport and Entertainment pack (my BB was installed on 02/02/2015) I was told it would take 24 hours to initiate all three services. As they never appeared, I have been calling daily to find out what has happened to these items and the answer is always it will take 24 hours. Untill that is, I received a call about an hour ago to tell me that my Sport and Entertainment pack will not be available until the 12th and the Caller Display will not be ready untill the 18th! Is this the normal level of service from BT?

  • Caller display problem

    been having problems with my caller display it has been reported several times in last 3 weeks
    engineers came out and said it was my telephone at fault
    now tried 3 different brand new phones in the master socket and all just display "incoming call"
    tried a neighbours phone and it did work
    of the 3  new phones 2 were bt and one panasonic
    dialing  *234# says callers number will be displayed although this only started doing this yesterday usually it says service not available
    do you have any suggestions

    sorry, but you just have to be persistant and determined
    I've has smiliar issues setting up call blockers ( which need caller ID )
    Have gone through a number of these and different phones .
    After isolating the issues, finally system has stabilised ..
    One thing to make sure of is that BT have actually enabled it
    you have to called customer services ( don't make a new order )
    my BT Bill online still keeps saying:
    "extra calling features available" - incude BT Caller diaplay ( free for a year etc )
    its so frustrating, because I have this setup , yet the Bill looks like I need to order it

    Can BT please translate this into Plain English?
    Notwithstanding that particular issue, take a look at this please BT:
    Just don't believe anything BT tells you. I wrote a reminder in my diary to renew Caller Display in time, and they've gone and started to charge me from four days before the date they promised.

    What I still don't understand, and I don't think BT makes clear, as I mentioned in an earlier thread, is if you renew 30 days before the offer expires, does the renewal run from the date of renewal (30 days before, when the emails are sent), or the offer expiry date?
    Libby Barr has emailed me about renewing Caller Display. Amongst other things she writes:
    1. Get it free for another year.
    You can do this by renewing your Caller Display and line rental contracts for another 12 months.
    Renew your Caller Display now
    2. Do nothing, and keep the service for £1.75 a month.
    If we don't hear from you, you'll see £1.75 a month on your bill after your current contract ends.

    But she doesn't say when the contract ends, nor whether or not the renewal is from the day I place the request to renew, or from the day the current contract expires.
    I've got as far as the order summary on MyBT, which reads:
    Your BT Privacy with free caller display will be renewed for the next 12 months. A new 12 month line rental contract also applies.
    (my bold)
    The next 12 months from when?

  • Caller Display - Marketing Calls Opt-Out

    So my caller display seems to have vanished - even though I pre-registered in November as requested. I never received any email to confirm this.
    Anyway when placing an order to get 'free' BT Privacy and Caller Display I noticed that the following terms are listed:
    "...Signing up to BT Privacy with Caller Display will also update your marketing preferences so you may receive the occasional call from BT Group companies letting you know about special offers relevant for you. You can change your consent at any time by calling us free on 0800 800 150."
    I've tried doing this but the automated system can't understand me as I have a cold at the moment.
    Is there anyway to reset my marketing preferences online to make sure I don't get these calls?
    I can only find something to opt me out of marketing emails, not calls.

    Have a look at the relevant question about half-way down the contents list here. Looks as though you'll have to wait for the Night Nurse to do its stuff, though if you ignore the automated requests to say something you get offered other options after a minute or two. Choose Sales, who should be able to help.

  • Loss of Caller Display faciility

    For no reason I have lost caller display despite paying for it, I have had it for several years. In desparation after 3 weeks contact with the famous Indian team I am told that the service will be provided free for 12 months as I agreed a new 12 line rental contract - not true, so I have had to writte again :-
    This is the third time that I have been told that the caller display will work again, I have had it for years and it stopped working as long ago as the 27th February. Also I did not ask ior or agree to a new 12 months line rental contract because the only way to get caller display back could well be to change suppliers which I had to do to get reliable broadband - I migrated to PlusNet 3 years ago from BT. Tell me what the legal position is from your point of view before I seek professional advice,.   
    I guess this must happen all of ther time so if anyone out there can help please respond.

  • Free Caller Display (12 months)

    My free 12 months of caller display ends on 10th December. I have just noticed that there is an option to renew for a further 12 months on my calling features 'page'. Does anyone know if it will re-new from 10th December or from when I hit 'order'.

    I could be wrong but  just so you are aware if you renew the caller display you will be entering into a new 12 month contract on your phone. New contracts usually start from when you hit renew. They don't seem to "defer" the start date until your previous contract ends.
    You could call BT 0800 100 400 and ask them to confirm one way or the other.

  • BT privacy - no caller display?!

    according to my order I got BT privacy with my phone line which shows who's calling. This is not the case. My phone has been transfered yesterday morning and I still can't see who's calling. When will this start working?

    BTPrivacy includes caller display at no cost (as well as informing the TPS). So you can simply contact BT and mention that you have BTPrivacy, but caller display is not active.

    At the moment, you've got BT Privacy with Caller Display on a free offer for 12 months. The offer is ending soon and you'll then start paying the usual £1.75 a month to keep the service. But don't worry, you can still get it for free. Read on to find out how.

    BT Privacy with Caller Display is a really handy service that's easy to take for granted. It's the smart way to know who's calling before you answer your phone. And it's a great way to avoid calls you don't want to take, like sales calls.

    So I opted to renew line rental with a futher 12 months free Caller Display.  I went right through the procedure and expected to get an email confirming the order with instrucions on how to pay - but nothing.  So how do I go about checking if the order went through please?

    After re-contracting line rental for a minimum of 12 months you would continue to pay for it in the same way as you currently do, by either monthly or quarterly bill usually settled by direct debit.
    If you want to make use of Line Rental Saver and pay for a whole year of line rental in advance at the cheaper rate then that is a different product that needs ordering as well.

  • 1571 & caller display

    I have tried BT call center but gave up, I am being charged for 1571 which I don't have and caller display which I have paid line rental upfront for a year I thought that was ment to be free if you renewed it.
    Anyone have any ideas who to contact I don't fancy trying the India call center again.

    Hello, Before i moved to my new house i had the caller display all set and it worked fine, but after i moved house it dissapeared. i'ved called that *#234# number and it says caller will be displayed but it doesnt though. Does this mean i have to subscribe for it agian, if i do how do i subscibe and what number do i call?

  • Caller display, how do I activate it?

    I recently brought a BT Synergy 5500 twin phone, which was advertised as having caller display. What it didn't say in the advert was that I'd have to activate this with BT and it may cost money, NOT HAPPY. I wouldn't have brought it if I'd known. So I have been onto my BT account and found that I can get this for free, I have ordered it and tried dialling #234# but it says it's unavailable. PLEASE I'm fed up of swearing at the computer so much, what do i do now, how do i activate this? many thanks

    try dialling *#234# to see if it is active (you will receive an automated message)
    If it is not active give BT a call on 0800 800 150 and say you want BT privacy at Home with the free caler display.
    It is "free" providing you make 2 calls amonth via BT, this is not a problem if BT already bill you for calls, only a problem if your calls are billed by another company.
