Hi everyone,
I hope that I am not asking a dunce question. But if I order the Iphone from apple on the 10th will they allow you to personalize it for free as they do for the ipod touch, etc?

Hey friend! Not a dunce question at all. I did a little research (aka - Hitting up friends of mine who have pre-ordered through Apple as opposed to AT&T) And they do not personalize the iPhone. Or they at least weren't given that option when they ordered.

Not sure which password you mean. This is for the admin password for the computer. Then is instruction for your Apple ID and password.
Forgot Your Account Password

    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. so when 3am rolled around and the site kepts saying error and all the other **bleep** i decided to go to the apple site and im glad i did. the process was fast and it only took a few minutes. the site wasnt slow either so that helped. so who else ordered from apple?

yeah i got the same thing from apple regarding my order but atleast its ordered and all i have to do is wait. yeah im glad i didnt wait to order from verizon cause i jumped on the apple site and maybe 5 mins later( at the least) i was in bed haha

Can I use Normal DVD BURNER or Do I have to order from apple???

I was just wondering if it is posiible to use the normal DVD Burners you get from PC shops to replace my orignal G5's internal Rom or do i have to order a special one from apple?
my old one is playing up abit and i have a external but its annoying switching it on and off all the time

Can a genuine Apple European cord for the new Mac Pro and the Thunderbolt display be ordered from Apple?

The title says it all. When I move to Europe I know I can use adapter plugs, but I would feel more secure, considering the cost of my Apple equipment, using Apple European power cords.
So, is it possible to order these parts from Apple?

I pre-ordered my iphone4 on apple, not verizon because the site was not working for me all night
Is there a difference in price if you get if from apple?
and I just read some discussions and people were saying they r getting their iphone on monday... ***?
mines coming on thursday
so my real problem is that I was waiting for the pre-order day since the announcement on 1/11/11 and was up until 12 just to order this **bleep** phone, which i couldn't in verizon because the site wasnt WORKING and now I have to wait longer???
anyone see the problem here?

Pre-order from apple or AT&T

For those of you who have pre-ordered phones in the past, did you find you got better results doing it from apple rather than AT&T or vice versa? Just wondering if it really even matters. Thanks!

If you pre-ordered quickly enough from Apple after pre-ordering began for the iPhone 4, Apple promised delivery on the same day it went on sale in the brick-and-morter stores. What actually happened was that a lot of people (myself included) who pre-ordered received them the day before the official start-of-sales date.

Anyone order from Apple Store getting anywhere?

I was already booked on a trip to the East Coast when I heard that the iPhone was going to be released on the 29th and figured it wouldn't be a huge deal as I'd just order online and have it waiting for me when I got home (optimistically believing the stories of Apple laying in a sizable inventory). Unfortunately when I went to do so I saw the 2-4 week expected ship date and called Apple only to be told pretty much nothing (politely but nothing all the same). So has anyone ordered online and had their order move forward at all? I've seen some other posts that indicate that other people had called and heard that the phones would actually ship early in the coming week but I just though I'd ask here to see if anyone had heard anything different.
Of course after reading the problems that some people are having with activation and with me wanting to port my old number but it would still be nice to know when I might expect to have my phone.

I probably should have mentioned that I did place an order as the AT&T store that was right down the street from me here in Manchester, NH is already out and that yes, when I get back in the Bay Area I'll go check one of the local (Bay Area) Apple Stores and if they got them will buy it and then cancel the online order. Hyping the living heck out of the thing and then not making them immediately available at the one place that everyone has access to especially given the online activation process makes no sense at all to me...

Cannot view order tracking page for items ordered from Apple store!

I have just ordered a Mac Mini from the Apple UK store, and the order page shows it is being handled by "FLEX POSTAL & HUB NL", whose tracking page is at https://www.iec-logistics.com/apps/tracktrace/trk_tracking.asp.
The problem is that when I enter my tracking details, the very nexy screen gives me a blank page, because Safari cannot render the page source, which seems to be simple Javascript. This is because the site is only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer!

Well, it arrived eventually - the tracking system must have been broken.

If you call apple they will order it for you right on the phone and u will get an iphone no matter what. No first come first serve. That error message on verizons website is irritating. You will have your iphone by the 10th. So what if you have to wait a few more days....at least you know you are getting one!

If iphone 5s unlock version which order from apple activated by T-mobile card can be used in China

I ordered one T-mobile contact free Iphone 5s in apple online store recently, but I activate the iphone by the T-mobile card which install the iphone auto., not by China's network carrier card, so I want to know if iphone 5s unlock version which actived by T-mobile card can be used in China ?

You have already activated the phone with the T-Mobile sim card in it, which is why the phone has become locked to T-Mobile and whilst the phone is locked to T-Mobile, there is no way to re-activate it with another sim card.
It is not silly at all and this is where you needed to have done your research in full and ask those questions about the differences between unlocked phones and sim free/contract free phones and then you would have found this out.
There is nothing else that you can do. What you need to do is contact T-Mobile in the US and tell them that you purchased the phone from the US Apple store and activated it with their sim card and the phone is now locked and request that they unlock it for you. They may do it, but mostly they may tell you that you need to wait 40 days before they will unlock the phone for you. Unfortunately, whilst you wait for the 40 days you won't be able to use the phone and there is absolutely nothing that you can do.
Also, if you are using this phone in Europe why on earth did you buy it in the US? If you knew that you wanted to use the phone in Europe, why did you not go and buy the phone in another European country? This would have made more sense, because countries like the UK sell unlocked phones in the Apple store and you will have EU warranty on the phone and you will most likely get 4G too, but with the phone you have now, you have found that you cannot use it and your warranty is only valid for the US and not the EU - iPhone warranty is not international.
There is nothing else that you can do now except contact T-Mobile in the US and request an unlock, but until they will unlock you will not be able to use the phone.

What if you can't sign in to your order from Apple Store?

I can't sign in to Apple Store with my Apple ID; I can sign in everywhere else except there.
I have a $1,151.00 order pending, and it's shown there when I enter order number, but then to make changes or correct the address (and many other things) it asks you to enter with your Apple ID. I try this but my order is not shown there.
And of course there's absolutely no email address where you can send questions for such a problem; in fact, there's not even a forum for Apple Store where you can POST a question like the one I'm posting here. (I just posted it here, in desperation, because it's iPads that are part of my order; no where else to ask such a question !!!)
Does anyone know what I could do? I cannot call the phone number because I'm out of the country. I have to do everything via email and forum postings.
