Ordering pages for small InDesign booklet

Hi there,
I am trying to lay out a small booklet for an upcoming open day, but each time I print it off, the pages are all in the wrong order. I know that this is because at the moment the information has been inserted in the order of the pages (consecutively), i.e. first bit on page 1, second bit on page 2, third bit on page 3, but this does not translate when the booklet is printed off. The information pops up all over the place. Does anyone have a specific formula for page order on InDesign? The pages are going to be double sided and the booklet is 8 pages long.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I feel like I am going mad!

Can each page of an indesign booklet have its own set of layers

i am very VERY VERRRRRY new to indesign. i was basically thrown into the program to keep the project from sinking when a designer quit on me!
so im trying to give each page of my catalog its own set of layers. is this even possible. right now the layers i made for the 1st page are being applied to every page.
HELP!

Pages for Adobe InDesign type job, can it do it?

I am starting up a new quarterly 32 page magazine (A4 size) and was thinking of buying InDesign, but if I can get away with not spending £699 on it then I would rather take a different route.
I have iWork and have taken a quick look at Pages, but aren't sure if it can do such a thing. For a start I can't find out how to lay out a spread over two pages i.e. centerfold, as this is how publishing houses need the pages, over a two page spread?
Any thoughts, or any alternative programmes if Pages won't do it?

I think there is no way in Pages to place an object over the border of a page to lay it on two pages. The object will be cliped at the page borders. I don't know other programs with such "professional" layout features, only InDesign, Quark and Freehand.
The only way to do so, is to set the page align to landscape and design it as two pages. But this is a very bad one and not useable for professional printing.

Where do I find an order page for....

... Illustrator CS6 MENA edition?I've looked high and low, but there have been unable to find a english sales point for the MENA edition, And nobody is answering the phone on the "livechat" service. I'm hoping I'm just missing ht eobvious.
We're dealing with more and more type set in MENA languages, and the basic CS6 package does not handle those well, and "upgrading" to IllustratorCC isn't an option.

Most probably you need to clear the server cache or compile the JSP pages (depends on your application release) -- Please see (11.5.0/12: Oracle iStore Checkout Error: "500 Internal Server Error OracleJSP" [ID 577510.1]) for details.

Has Anyone Created a Successful Pre-Order Page?

I've submitted my second book, and still, I'm unable to get the pre-order function to work. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding it?
I assume that if I allow pre-orders when I create my package in iTunes Producer, that after I upload all my assets, etc., and they successfully import, that a pre-order page for that book should appear on iTunes.
However, for both of my books, this has not happened. They still are pending approval, but there has never been any sort of pre-order page on iTunes in the bookstore.
Has anyone successfully created a pre-order for one of their books titles? I've tried contacting Apple but only get a generic response that doesn't really explain anything. ; (

You can set a pre-order start date for each territory in iTunes Producer. According to the iTunes Producer 2.6 User Guide, the date must be earlier than the sales start date. If you don't want to offer pre-order, you are supposed to leave that date blank.
The user guide says that, if you set a pre-order date, the publication will not be shown in the store until that date. It does not say that, if you set that date, the book will be shown starting on that date (or any date before it becomes available, for that matter).
The user guide also says the following:
Important: Pre-orders require minimal manual production work by iTunes. When you deliver a book that is
available for pre-order, contact your iTunes Technical Account Manager. Pre-orders must conform to the
following specifications:
All assets (EPUB, iBooks format, cover art, and screenshot files) are due up front.
You can only create pre-orders with the first, initial delivery of the book package.
You cannot make any changes to the pre-order once you deliver a book package to the iBookstore with
a Pre-Order Start Date.
Each territory where you are sending a pre-order (each territory where you defined a pre-order start
date) must be priced at a valid price tier.
Do not send pre-order start dates for territory products that have been marked not cleared for sale. Only
deliver book packages with pre-order start dates assigned for territory products that are cleared for sale.
Given the current track record in getting books into the store, I would guess that pre-order is something that would only happen for blockbuster titles from large publishers, where actually a significant volume of pre-orders can be expected. For the pre-order to go through into the store, someone still has to review the book, which isn't worth doing for something that sells a few dozen copies a month.

I have a text box at the beginning of each page and I want to alphabetical order pages based on that text box. Do you know how to do that?

But essentiall, you will need to create a table, place each URL in its own row, Tap the header to select the column, and select Sort (ascending).

Ordering of Page Items in Indesign

I need to find the ordering (send to Back / send Backwards / Bring to Front / Bring Forward) of page items in Indesign using Apple script.
I couldn't find any solution . In which preferences i need to get this? Any Ideas about this?

The "page items" collection gives you the objects in their stacking
order, so the index of the item in the collection will be the
placement in the stacking order.

Help convert spread pages to single pages when converting Indesign to PDF for printer

I have an Indesign booklet of 28 pages which I need to convert to pdf as single pages so I need to turn off the spread pages/facing pages option so I can convert to pdf to get it printed. I know how to turn the spread/facing pages off but when I do this it affects the master page and all the pages become left hand pages and the headers/page nos are in the wrong place. I have looked at numerous websites/blogs and everyone seems to have the same problem. Can anyone help me please as this is really urgent now?

Actually, you DON'T want to undo the facing pages. Just export using the settings recommended by the printer and you'll get one PDF with individual pages, not spreads, as long as the Spreads box is not checked.

Creating Pages for an iPhone in InDesign

I'm creating pages for an iPhone using InDesign CC 2014 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and need to simulate in on a PC, but how?

In Windows, you have to use OTF fonts(Compatible for Win and Mac), Then you can create pages. Then only Iphone supports to open.

Is there an alpha order function in Pages for iPad?

I have a folder inside Pages for iPad which has about 20 docs inside it. I would like to put these files in alpha order by their title. Is that possible? If not, can I manually sort the files inside the folder? I can get the files to move, but I can't get the file to hold it's new position. Thanks for your help. Jo

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard and turn Enable Caps Lock to On. When Enable Caps lock is On then double-tapping the shift key will lock it down (it turns all blue). YOU CAN THEN TYPE ALL CAPS,
