Hi Caterina,
Option 1 - Individual Asset
1.  Goto Asset Master > Depreication Area tab
2.  Double Click selected Depreciation Area,
3   Tick Negative Vals Allow (But you need to turn on Field Status Group)
Option 2 - All Asset
1. IMG > Finaincial Accounting > Asset Account > Depreciation > Determine Deprication Area
2. Selected  All Value Allowed

    Hi,
You should check the settings of your depreciation key. In this case it seems that your asset is already depreciated and it is now depreciating more then it was the initial cost.
It happens only if this kind of depreciation is allowed.

  • AR02-Asset Historysheetreport -001 Ordinary depreciation positive in are 01

In AR02 -Asset History sheet report,we are getting the below error displayed for few specific assets  .The asset values  are displayed in correcltly till October and however in December 2009. it shws correct values.
    The message displayed :
001 Error occurred during processing of asset -cocode -Asset number -sub no.
001 Ordinary depreciation positive in area 01
Error occurred during processing of asset Message no. AB076
    Diagnosis
Errors occurred during depreciation calculation when the system was processing asset 104000000311-0000 in company code X003.
    System Response
Processing of the asset did not end correctly. Therefore you should check the values in the output list.
    Procedure
In an output list, refer to the error log (Goto -> Error Log). For background processing, refer to the job log. These logs list the assets that have errors and the errors that occurred.
In some cases, the problem can be corrected for the asset(s) by using the Recalculate values function.
This particular asset was retired.Retirement with affliated company in the month of February and hence from then the APC value is Zero. From february till nov 09  there is problem with the asset it doesnt show value as zero and however when we now run report as on 31.12.2009 it shows zero.
However when we run the report for the period 30.11.2009 it displays the message -
Errors occurred when processing assets. See the Error Log  on the top of the AR02 report and the error long shows the above two messages.
Please suggest why this report shows error from FEB to  NOV only and not in DEC .

The changes we had done it in the month of NOV.
So till nov it shows the error but from december it shows correct values.Anty further config to be made please suggest.

    Hi Surya,
Please make sure that in OABN, for all of your dep areas, selection must be Only negative values and zero allowed.
Double click on dep areas to verify this in OABN.
I am sure this will resolve your issue.

    Hi,
Try following workaround to avoid error message AA638 :  Depreciation -> Unplanned depr. -> define deprec. area (OABU)
Select the concerned deprec. areas and verify that the flag 'all values allowed' is selected.
When you set this indicator, this depreciation area allows unplanned depreciation with positive as well as negative values.

  • Wi-Fi: no hardware installed. Caused by the antenna position?

I own an early 2011 MBP 15” with ML 10.8.3, suffering from the well known problem of Airport WiFi (hardware not installed). BT is perfectly working.
I would like to share my thoughts on the (low) probability of fixing this issue.
    That’s my story, till now.
I unsuccessfully attempted the usual remedies, such as the SMC and NVRAM reset.
Since my Mac is still covered by the AppleCare, I contacted the online support. Again, unsuccessful SMC and NVRAM reset. The support personnel told me it is a hardware problem. This sentence “slightly” worried me, and the rest of the story confirmed my darkest concerns.
I contacted an Apple technical assistance center for fixing the problem. 2 days later, they gave me my MBP back, after the flat (ribbon) cable substitution. We tested together the WiFi in the Apple center: no problem at all. Unfortunately, once back in my office, at first startup the WiFi again refused to run (and still it refuses now, ab. 24 hrs after the repair attemp).
Now, I’m working with a mini-dongle, a solution not properly fitting with a 2000 US$ Mac, bought for professional use. I’ll go back to the technical assistance again, but w/o much hope. The reason of my pessimistic thought arises from an idea I have on the WiFi antenna position inside the Mac.
I’ve never dismantled a MacBook Pro, but I learnt that the WiFi antenna is placed in a very strange location, that is: practically INSIDE THE MONITOR HINGE (is it true?)
This is a very delicate place for any notebook, because it is … mobile.
Yes, it seems that the antenna (mobile, in the monitor hinge) is connected to the motherboard (fixed, in the aluminum case) with a flat ribbon, and it rotates with the monitor. That is, every time we open or close the MBP (let's say, for instance 2-4 times/day?)
    And now, that’s my concern.
The movement involves a mechanical action on plugs and pins, with possible and subtle deformation of such pins, plugs and their supports. Again, that location is subject to heating up and, then, to possible thermal action combined with mechanical ones. That could mean that, very rarely and with erratic and random evidence, the WiFi antenna can loose its connection, plugs may slip off, perhaps for the monitor movement as well as for small tolerances in production and/or assembly steps (in my opinion may be matter of microns).
This could explain the erratic results of the repairs. Erratic means ranging from complete success to temporary stops or recovery, without any predictable behavior.
And now… HOLD ON TIGHT !
If my hypothesis is correct (doubt is mandatory), the problem may be CAUSED BY THE DESIGN CONCEPT of the MBP, concerning the WiFi location. This may have a direct influence on the erratic results of the technical assistance work, reported in many forums. Then, it is very difficult to foresee the problem will be 100% definitely fixed by the ordinary technical assistance. To tell all the truth, if I’m right (doubt is mandatory), a well lowest score may be regarded a first class result in these conditions.
On the other hand, placing the airport (WiFi antenna) inside the metal (aluminum) case, may also have its operating, and even worse, drawbacks.
I want to point out that I’m not complaining about the Apple support and technical assistance, both friendly and skilled, and I’m not blaming the Apple design department.
However, I’ve a few consultancy experiences about operating and safety problems reported in electric and electronic consumer products. In many cases, sneaky and subtle problems were due to particular design choices, correct for “almost” 100% of equipment. Almost means: random problems for a number of equipment with NO STATISTICAL RELEVANCE. And this may be a problem for us, “poor consumers” when facing the producer. No statistical relevance can mean: problem not recognized by the producer. This is just to be realistic. Continuous improvement is required from Apple, in any case.
Last but not least, this is an useful video on MBP WiFi:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsSIUs7jzQc
PS: I’m writing from Rome - Italy

Sorry for the late reply. I had a bad experience with the Apple Store and the 'Genius' Bar where I live. However, in the end, I received my MacBook Pro back from repair and everything is working.
Like I said in my previous post, the first time the Wi-Fi broke, I was using Lion. The mother (Logic) board was replaced as well as the Wi-Fi card.
The second time it broke, I was using Mountain Lion. Booting up the Recovery partition and Snow Leopard (new install) did not solve the issue. The Apple Store confirmed that the Wi-Fi card was broken through various testing, which I observed.
Since the attenna wires for the Wi-Fi run through the display, we decided the next logical step was to replace the Wi-Fi card and the display. The reasoning is that there could have been a short or cross connection in the attenna wiring that was causing the Wi-Fi cards to short-out/burn-out. The Bluetooth continued to work in both cases the Wi-Fi failed, meaning that it was unlikely a cable problem.
Since the display and wi-fi have been replaced (20121025), I've had no problems. The wi-fi card is working.
I'm glad the kext file solution has worked for you. I've seen posts on this solution; however, after determining that this was indeed a hardware failure (by using Recovery console, booting from Snow Leopard, and using Hardware Troubleshooter (it didn't even see the Wi-Fi) ), I didn't bother with fiddling with the kext (driver) files. Besides, this hardware is supposed to be designed to work with the OS without any problems whatsoever. Shame on Apple if they don't ship proper drivers for their hardware!

    HI experts,
I have an existing asset problem where the planned depreciation values becomes positive. Why does it becomes positive? How does system calculates this planned values? We just did some adjustment to the Asset by Credit Memo and another Mark-up transaction. Sample:

    Down payments                    SGD
    Scrap value                    SGD

I believe in your case, the tremendous reduction in APC cost has caused a tremendous change in planned depreciation.  System looks at the NBV and the remaining periods of useful life each time it calcs depreciation.  Of course also looks at depreciation key, Period Control, and OAYR Smoothing button.  Asset class can also be set for group depreciation.
If a credit memo reduced the APC value dramatically, then the amount of depreciation on the asset at that moment is more than enough so far.  This means that the next running of the AFAB program will reduce its amount of depreciation from the amount it was planning to book since it already has an excess of accumulated depreciation.
Please check in OAYR to know if your Smoothing indicator has been checked for the Company Code.  As I understand the system, if this indicator is checked - the system will not catch-up the whole difference in the next running of AFAB.  Instead, it will smooth out the adjustments due to credit memos, unplanned depreciation, and changes in remaining useful life over the remaining life of the asset.  When smoothing is set, one gets less drastic period to period change.
This setting should be in line with your accounting rules, such as in US GAAP changes in depreciable life are considered estimate changes requiring only prospective corrections, and so should smooth out impact over remaining periods of useful life versus immediate catch-up.
You may want to run a AFAR (check for recalc flags) and then a Repeat AFAB in the current period after making master data changes for depreciation.  All open periods would be impacted by master data changes if you run AFAB.

  • Sapscript: How to place a Picture on a dynamically position ?

Hi I would like to place a Picture(Signature) an any place in the main window, is there a solution for that problem ?
    thanks a lot !

    Hi ,David.
It is possible to include a graphic anywhere in the main window.
You can decide when to print it as a ordinary element, that gives you a solution for the hight position. but the printing of you picture will start directly at the left side of the window.
If you want to place you picture for the example in the middle of the line, you have to save you picture as a text and test to use a paragraph with left and/or right margins.
I dont know if that last solution works, but you could try it.

  • Y axis position

    Hi all,
how can I change the Y axis position in a multiple Y axis graph?
    Thanks, Gilles

    Hi,
if you want to show Y scale at the right side of your graph instead of its ordinary position at the left you must do the following things:
Right click on the title of the scale and select "swap sides" option from pop-up menu.
    Good luck.

  • Values for Ordinary deprec. have changed in dep. area 01 in fiscal year 200

    Hi Guru,
I m in the process of upgradation from 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
In Asset Accounting in 4.6C there is a facility of batch input thereby the user can replace the block cost centre by new one. As this facility is not available in ECC 6.0 so I have figured out all asset master in which the block centre are entered. And one by one replace the old cost centre by new one in asset master. When I ran the dep. "AFAB" there were no error. But for few assets the dep. shows positive value and cumulative dep. as zero. When I display the master of these assets and go into asset value of that asset then it give the message
Values for Ordinary deprec. have changed in dep. area 01 in fiscal year 2008
    Message no. AU390
    Diagnosis
Depreciation terms were changed in depreciation area 01 since the last time depreciation was recalculated. The values for Ordinary deprec. that were saved in the database in fiscal year 2008 are therefore different from the newly calculated values by an amount of   102385.74-.
    Procedure
Check if the newly calculated values are correct. If they are, then carry out a depreciation recalculation. You should be aware that if you recalculate depreciation, new values could arise for all open fiscal years, and these would then have to be posted to the general ledger by means of a depreciation posting run.
If, on the other hand, you want to keep the values that are saved in the database, you have to set the depreciation terms back to how they were at the time of the last depreciation recalculation.
To see a comparison of the old and new values, you can use the Display dep. calc. function in the asset value display or the Recalculate values function in the Asset Accounting menu."
Guru, New value is absolutely wrong as it reversed all the dep. charged upto previous period.
please tell me what I can do & how i colud check whether any body has changed the dep. term or not.
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    Hi,
start transaction AFAR for the company code as real run. That will recalculate all asset values and should solve the problem.
Alternative would be to go to AS02 and choose "edit -> recalculate values" from the system menu.

  • Ordinary deprecation not display in S_ALR_87012050

    Hi All
I am executing report S_ALR_87012050, report for New Acquisition , where new acquisition are displayed correctly but Ordinary depreciation value is ZERO.
Also not getting displayed in Asset document, original depn value is 0.
Also note Monthly depreciation run has been correctly posted and Ord. depn is displayed in Asset explorer and AR02 report correctly.
Is any faced same issue earlier..?
    Thanks
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind,
    please notice note 965032 point (4 a and) d:
    No depreciations on transactions,
The period-based calculation procedure cumulates all transactions
that are included in a time period and determines the
depreciation on these cumulative values. Therefore, it is no
longer possible to retrospectively determine a redistribution of
the calculation results on individual transactions. Therefore, if
you use the new depreciation calculation, the system no longer
saves depreciations on transactions in the line items. Exceptions
to this rule are - proportional value adjustments in the case of
retirements or retirement transfers, since these must continue to
be calculated at single transaction level.
As the system is not calculating depreciation on transactions any more, these kind of depreciation can not be reported in transaction reports like RAABGA* / RAUMBU* and RAZUGA*.
I'm sorry that I can't give you a more positive answer.
    Regards Bernhard

  • Is it possible to pick a point in a graph and drag/move it to another position using the mouse?

I have an array which contains sample points.
I would like to be able to pick exactly one of those points in the graph (using the mouse) and move it to another position.
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hi,
It's better to make just one cursor (in case you have an array of let say
200 points), and make it snap to the nearest point. With the event structure
you can read out if the user has clicked in the graph, read out the cursor,
and when the mouse button is released, change the point to the new location.

  • How do i save my position in several playlists?

    Hey guys,
I basically know that i could save furthest played position in one mp3 if I set it to audiobook in itunes
Let's say i have 3 playlists consisting of several files each. I go through one of them partially, then decide to switch to second one. After finishing it, i want to go back to the spot I left first playlist at. Is there a way to do it? I know it will remember the position in the mp3 (or whichever else) file. But what if there's like 30 files in the playlist - is there a way to remember the actual file last played from that playlist?
Maybe there's an app for saving your position in several playlists or something...

You cannot save the position in a playlist.
    sergey217 wrote:

You don't need to set it as an audiobook. Select the song (or whatever) in your iTunes Library and choose File/Get info/Options>Remember playback position. Then Sync the ipod with iTunes for that change to take effect on the iPod.
As for your real issue, you could try experimenting with Smart Playlists. A Smart Playlist will contain whichever files meet the rules you set for it. So for example, you could create an ordinary Playlist that contains the songs etc that you want in one Playlist. Then set a Smart Playlist to contain that other Playlist, but with a rule to exclude any of the other list that has been played in the last X days, weeks or months. You could set the time for "longer than you need the Playlist" and then delete or revise the Playlist as it suits you.
For instance, I have a Smart Playlist which contains all the Comedy genre (excluding Podcasts) but then removes any of those comedy items that have been played in the last twelve months. After twleve months, those comedy moments are automatically put back into the Playlist, which means I don't hear the same comedy too often.
    Food for thought?

  • Is there a way to create and edit a video in portrait mode / 9:16 in Premiere Elements 12 or 13. Playback on an iPhone in portrait position.

I'm editing iPhone app video for posting as the first screen in the Apple app store. Required size for the video is 750:1334, 9:16. I there a way to setup the initial video in portrait mode? Many posts for how to rotate a specific clip, but I need the whole video in portrait position. How to accomplish this? I'm using Windows 7 and Premiere Elements 12 and now 13.

    LaurieFrick
Thanks for giving this portrait Edit area monitor shape a look.
I have Windows 7 64 bit and Windows 8.1 64 bit and have done the work using Premiere Elements 12/12.1 on Windows 7 64 bit.
Here is a step by step
Find the DSLR [email protected] file
    Local Disk C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 12\Settings\SequencePresets\NTSC\DSLR\1080p\
And, in that 1080p Folder is the DSLR 1080p30@ 29.97.sqpreset file that you seek.
    1. Copy the
    DSLR 1080p30@ 29.9.sqpreset fileI
and paste it to the computer desktop in a newly created folder named 1920p.
    2. Open the 1920p Folder and edit the ..sqpreset file in Notepad.
To do that right click the .sqpreset, and, from the pop up, select Open With and then Notepad.
    3. In the Notepad document, you are going to edit in only 2 places for now, switching 1920 and 1080 to 1080 and 1920 at the top and bottom
    sections of the Notepad document.
Then go specifically File Menu/Save of the Notepad document and hit Save.
    4. At this point, you have the edited.sqpreset file in the 1920p Folder on the computer desktop.
(Change the name of the edited .sqpreset file so that it = DSLR [email protected])
Move the 1920p Folder from there to add it to the 1080p Folder, the location where you found the original .sqpreset file that you edited.
    Close out of there.
    5. Back in the Premiere Elements 12/12.1, manually set the project preset to the new project preset
    6. When you import your 1080 x 1920 9:16 video file into the project and drag it into the Timeline, you should see
Note that there is no orange line over that Timeline content, indicating that you are seeing
the best possible preview of the image.
    7. As I wrote before,
But, here is the hang up. If I render the Timeline content to get the best possible preview at the Edit level, the video in the Edit area monitor
squeezes in resulting in black borders to the left and right of the video image on screen.
But, otherwise I found I had no problems editing or exporting, just had to keep away from Timeline rendering for previewing after an edit. Need to find the missing ingredient for 100%.
I will be writing this up in my blog in a more organized fashion including how I got the project preset description in Change Settings to agree with the changes. Probably I will do that in the morning.

  • Error while assigning user to a position

    Experts,
I m using SRM 3.0 with classic scenario. I would like to assign a user to a position but could not able to eventhough there is BP record. I could able to do the assignment in sandbox but not in the PRD with similar case.
Also If I use users_gen( Create users using existing SU01) it is throwing Error "central person already exists".
Please throw some input whether what could be the problem and possible solution.
    Thank you,
    Manyam

    Hi Cordula:
I have the solution to fix your user. It is a crude methodology but it works. I have seen that error "central person already exists" many times and i have fixed it successfully.
step 1: The first step is to delete the existing assignment of the user from the org structure.
Step 2: The second step is to delete all ties of the user with his present business partner Number from transaction BP. In BP go to identification and remove his user id and save.
Step 3: Now before you use USERS_GEN to assign the user from existing SU01 ID, you would also need to delete his SU01 user ID. This is because the existing SU01 ID has ties with his previous assignment to the EBP org structure
Step 4: Recreate his user ID in SU01. System will ask you that SAP has the old office data and you can copy the data from his old office data which saves you the pain of enetring address overview tab. Go and maintain his roles and profiles section and save the user ID.
Step 5: Now you can use USERS_GEN to assign him to a organisational unit from existing SU01 id and you will see the activity to be carried out successfully !!!!:)
Please assign points if answer helpful and also confirm results and share your views with the forums.
    Thanks
    Sunny
