Org and Staffing-Object Id to be displayed

Dear All,
Can anybody pls help me out with the settings which would enable me to have the various object ids displayed against the objects in PPOCE, PPOME, PPOSE ie Org and Staffing.
Eg. I want to have the org unit id across the Org unit created in PPOME.
Points would be awarded.
Thanks
Deepali

use transaction ppom_old
enter organisation id
then select view button from menu bar.........select key on. you will get the object id for unit and positions.
try this............points required.

    Hi Madhu,
Mainly the table HRP1001 gets updated. All the relationships (manager <> subordinate, pernr <-> positioin, etc.) are stored in this table.
So if we create a relationship between manager and subordinate eg., then two records will go in table HRP1001.

  • Org and Staffing

    Hi All
I create the structure in Org and staff. mode from 01.01.2008 to 31.12.9999. After saving and exiting and Reopening it, I cant see the same?, Again I create the same , again its happening. I tried for every search term. But it is not.
Can anybody tell me what could be problem?
    milinds

    Hi Melinda,
Are you able to see any org structure in PPOME, that was created prior or just the new one?? If you don't have the structural authorization you cannot see the org units in PPOME/SE/CE screens.
No matter which transaction you use (PPOCE/PO10), if you saved your information it should be visible if you have all the structual authorization.
If you want to make sure that your entries were saved, Please go to SE16 and go to HRP1000, select Plan version 01, Object type 'O', enter the end date as 12/31/9999, run it for all the Org units.
If you don't know the org unit number, check for the short/long description that you have mentioned while creating.
You should see your org unit in the above table if you would have saved properly.
    Thanks,
    Sasha

  • Performance and Sprite objects

I've written an application in Flex 2 that consists of
several accordions containing custom canvas objects, and it is
    having performance problems.
I'm running the application within IE 6.0 under Windows 2000.
The application loads an XML file and uses the data to create
custom Sprite objects in the canvases. Each Sprite consists of two
swf images that are loaded using the Loader class, a small
rectangle created by using the Sprite graphics property, and a text
label. In addition, each Sprite is connected to one or more other
Sprites by a line drawn using the Sprite's graphics property. The
Sprites have the capability for being dragged, and for being
    highlighted when clicked.
My problem is performance; these Sprites perform slower than
a similiar program that I wrote in ActionScript 2.0. From what I
understand, Flex 2.0, ActionScript 3.0, Flash 9, and the new Sprite
class are supposed to deliver greatly improved performance, but my
new application seems worse than the old one under Flash 7 using
MovieClips. The more Sprites on the screen, the worse the
performance, and the lines seem to contribute to the degradation.
There is way too much code involved to include in this
message, so I'm looking for general info. Is there some basic point
    I am missing?
The performance is also degraded when triggering instances of
the Menu and Popup classes. When running the Task Manager during
the application, I've noticed that both Memory Usage and GDI
objects increase whenever I display a Menu or Popup. Both Memory
Usage and GDI objects go up and down, but there is a steady
increase in both metrics as I continue to use Menus and Popups. As
far as I can tell, I am disposing of both types of objects
properly, but it appears that their allocation is remaining in
    memory.

  • Problem PPOME - Organization and Staffing

    Hi Experts,
I have the following problems concerning Organization and Staffing interface :
    1) When trying to create a new Organization Unit or Position in the Basic Data Tab the Abbreviation and Description are lost, instead it keeps the standard ( like New org. unit   New Organizational Unit), although I can see the correct Abbreviation and Description in the Overview Area. It seems like a bug, but still couldn't find an appropriate note about it. My customer uses SAP ECC 6.0.
2)I would like to insert new tab pages in the Detail Area with custom pd infotypes. I managed to display one (through configuration in the Hierarchy Framework) but doesn't appear properly. Table T77OMTABUS looks like this :

  • Om Simple-expert-organisationsal and staffing

    Experts,
Can you please let us know the difference between simple maintenance, expert mode , Organisational and staffing method?
Among three which one is mostly used? why?
    Regards
    S.K

    Hi SK,
Simple Maintenance operates using a tree structure. The tree structure allows you to rapidly put together a basic framework for organizational plans, using streamlined procedures
Using Simple Maintenance to create organizational units, jobs, positions, and tasks eliminates all but the most essential details. Simple Maintenance knows which relationships are most commonly required, and generates these relationships automatically when you create an object.
It is recommended to create most of the objects and relationships of your organizational structure using Simple Maintenance. Detail Maintenance is best used to perform maintenance functions on individual objects, especially, it is an effective means to update a particular objectu2019s infotypes
Difference between - Simple maintainence and Expert Mode
Both the interfaces are used to create Org structure. If the company needs to create a huge structure, we will use Simple maintenance, because it is user friendly that is it is easy to create a structure, the system automatically relationship between the objects. Using Infotypes we can create Objects in Expert mode and we have to use different transactions to create various types of objects
    Normally we use Simple Maintanience.
    Hope this helps...

  • Difference b/w DATA TYPE and DATA OBJECT & differences b/w TYPE and LIKE

    hai
can any one say the differences between Data type and Data Object.
And also differences between TYPE and LIKE
    thanks
    Gani

    hi,
    _Data Types and Data Objects_
Programs work with local program data – that is, with byte sequences in the working memory. Byte sequences that belong together are called fields and are characterized by a length, an identity (name), and – as a further attribute – by a data type. All programming languages have a concept that describes how the contents of a field are interpreted according to the data type.
In the ABAP type concept, fields are called data objects. Each data object is thus an instance of an abstract data type. There are separate name spaces for data objects and data types. This means that a name can be the name of a data object as well as the name of a data type simultaneously.
    Data Types
As well as occurring as attributes of a data object, data types can also be defined independently. You can then use them later on in conjunction with a data object. The definition of a user-defined data type is based on a set of predefined elementary data types. You can define data types either locally in the declaration part of a program using the TYPESstatement) or globally in the ABAP Dictionary. You can use your own data types to declare data objects or to check the types of parameters in generic operations.
All programming languages distinguish between various types of data with various uses, such as ….. type data for storing or displaying values and numerical data for calculations. The attributes in question are described using data types. You can define, for example, how data is stored in the repository, and how the ABAP statements work with the data.
Data types can be divided into elementary, reference, and complex types.
    a. Elementary Types
These are data types of fixed or variable length that are not made up of other types.
The difference between variable length data types and fixed length data types is that the length and the memory space required by data objects of variable length data types can change dynamically during runtime, and that these data types cannot be defined irreversibly while the data object is being declared.
Predefined and User-Defined Elementary Data Types
You can also define your own elementary data types in ABAP using the TYPES statement. You base these on the predefined data types. This determines all of the technical attributes of the new data type. For example, you could define a data type P_2 with two decimal places, based on the predefined data type P. You could then use this new type in your data declarations.
    b.  Reference Types
Reference types are deep data types that describe reference variables, that is, data objects that contain references. A reference variable can be defined as a component of a complex data object such as a structure or internal table as well as a single field.
    c. Complex Data Types
Complex data types are made up of other data types. A distinction is made here between structured types and table types.
    Data Objects
Data objects are the physical units with which ABAP statements work at runtime. The contents of a data object occupy memory space in the program. ABAP statements access these contents by addressing the name of the data object and interpret them according to the data type.. For example, statements can write the contents of data objects in lists or in the database, they can pass them to and receive them from routines, they can change them by assigning new values, and they can compare them in logical expressions.
Each ABAP data object has a set of technical attributes, which are fully defined at all times when an ABAP program is running (field length, number of decimal places, and data type). You declare data objects either statically in the declaration part of an ABAP program (the most important statement for this is DATA), or dynamically at runtime (for example, when you call procedures). As well as fields in the memory area of the program, the program also treats literals like data objects.
A data object is a part of the repository whose content can be addressed and interpreted by the program. All data objects must be declared in the ABAP program and are not persistent, meaning that they only exist while the program is being executed. Before you can process persistent data (such as data from a database table or from a sequential file), you must read it into data objects first. Conversely, if you want to retain the contents of a data object beyond the end of the program, you must save it in a persistent form.
    Declaring Data Objects
Apart from the interface parameters of procedures, you declare all of the data objects in an ABAP program or procedure in its declaration part. These declarative statements establish the data type of the object, along with any missing technical attributes. This takes place before the program is actually executed. The technical attributes can then be queried while the program is running.
The interface parameters of procedures are generated as local data objects, but only when the procedure is actually called. You can define the technical attributes of the interface parameters in the procedure itself. If you do not, they adopt the attributes of the parameters from which they receive their values.
ABAP contains the following kinds of data objects:
    a.  Literals
Literals are not created by declarative statements. Instead, they exist in the program source code. Like all data objects, they have fixed technical attributes (field length, number of decimal places, data type), but no name. They are therefore referred to as unnamed data objects.
    b.  Named Data Objects
Data objects that have a name that you can use to address the ABAP program are known as named objects. These can be objects of various types, including text symbols, variables and constants.
Text symbols are pointers to texts in the text pool of the ABAP program. When the program starts, the corresponding data objects are generated from the texts stored in the text pool. They can be addressed using the name of the text symbol.
Variables are data objects whose contents can be changed using ABAP statements. You declare variables using the DATA, CLASS-DATA, STATICS, PARAMETERS, SELECT-OPTIONS, and RANGESstatements.
Constants are data objects whose contents cannot be changed. You declare constants using the CONSTANTSstatement.
    c.  Anonymous Data  Objects
Data objects that cannot be addressed using a name are known as anonymous data objects. They are created using the CREATE DATAstatement and can be addressed using reference variables.
    d.  System-Defined Data Objects
System-defined data objects do not have to be declared explicitly - they are always available at runtime.
    e.  Interface Work Areas
Interface work areas are special variables that serve as interfaces between programs, screens, and logical databases. You declare interface work areas using the TABLES and NODESstatements.
What is the difference between Type and Like?
    Answer1:
TYPE, you assign datatype directly to the data object while declaring.
LIKE,you assign the datatype of another object to the declaring data object. The datatype is referenced indirectly.
    Answer2:
Type is a keyword used to refer to a data type whereas Like is a keyword used to copy the existing properties of already existing data object.
    Answer3:
type refers the existing data type
like refers the existing data object
    reward if useful

  • Bex objects translated text not displayed for all

    Hi,
I have an issue in Bex elements language translation in Bex report output,
Translation of Bex elements to PT language has done successfully and few of the Bex elements are getting displayed in PT language, but the problem i am facing is with the Chars / Key figures objects used in Bex (Like: 0GL_ACCOUNT / 0AMOUNT / 0MATL_GROUP...) which are used directly in report, for these objects text is still getting displayed in EN.
When checked in backend tables i can able to see texts for objects with both languages maintained, and when i check the info objects short description from RSD1 by logging with PT language; i can able to see description in PT.
But, in Bex report i am not getting description in PT for these.
Please let me know whether i am missing any setting in between Bex and Backend objects.
Your helpful answers are highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Praveen.

We are working on SAP-BW system on 7.3 with SP05.

  • Newbie question about entity and view objects

    Hi everyone,
My first ADF application in JDeveloper is off to a difficult start. Having come from a forms background, I know that it is necessary avoid using post-query type lookups in order to have full filtering using F11/Ctrl+F11. This means creating an CRUDable view and getting as much of the lookup data as possible into the view without losing the ability to modify the data. In JDeveloper, I do not know how to build my data model to support that. My thought was to start with a robust updateable view as my main CRUD EO and then create a VO on top of that with additional EOs or VOs. But, I have found that I cannot add VOs to another VO. However, if I link the VOs then I have a master-detail which will not work for me.
For example, I have two joins to CSI_INST_EXTEND_ATTRIB_V shown in the queries below and need to have that show in the table displaying the CRUD VO’s data. It seemed that the best way to do this is to create a CSI_INST_EXTEND_ATTRIB_V entity object and view object. The view object would have two parameters, P_INSTANCE_ID and P_ATTRIBUTE name. Both the building and the unit are needed on the same record, and this is not a master-detail even though it might look that way. (A master-detail data control will not work for me because I need all this data to appear on the same line in the table.) So, I need help figuring out the best way to link these to the main (CRUD) view; I want as much of this data as possible to be filterable.
    select
    cieav.attribute_value
    from
    csi_inst_extend_attrib_v cieav
    where cieav.instance_id = p_instance_id
    and cieav.attribute_code = 'BUILDING NAME'
    select
    cieav.attribute_value
    from
    csi_inst_extend_attrib_v cieav
    where cieav.instance_id = p_instance_id
    and cieav.attribute_code = 'UNIT NAME'
Ultimately, I need to display a ton of data in each record displayed in the UI table, so a ton of joins will be needed. And, I need to be able to add records using the UI table also.
    James

    Hi Alejandro,
Sorry if I caused confusion with my first post. What I had in mind assumed that I could have a single CSI_INST_EXTEND_ATTRIB_V EO with a BuildingVO and UnitVO on top of it. So, I wrote the queries individually to show how I would invoke each view. When I realized that confused the issue, I rewrote the query to explain things better.
Now having seen your 2 queries. You need to create 2 EO. One for each table. Then create an association between the 2 aeO (this will be the join you are talking about). Then, you need to create a VO based on one of the EO and after you can modify and add the second EO (in here you select the join type).
After your done with this, youll have 1 VO that supports CRUD in both tables.
There were three tables in the query: CIEAV_BUILDING, CIEAV_UNIT, and T -- the main CRUD table. When you say that I should create two EOs, do you mean that they are to be for CIEAV_BUILDING and CIEAV_UNIT? Or, CIEAV and T? Assuming CIEAV and T, that sounds like it would allow me to show my building or unit on the record but not both.
By the way, everything is a reference except for the main CRUD table.
Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your help (and patience).

  • Beginners Guide sound installation -- OSS and ALSA objective features

Beginners Guide sound installation -- OSS and ALSA objective features needed
    Hi,
In most wiki pages i just edit the things that i think need editing. Just look at the oss history
In all those cases i didn't really saw a need to ask for permission.. that would kinda destroy the wiki idea.
However i want to change the sound instructions in the beginners guide so i made a copy of the entire guide and the part that i changed there is: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Use … ling_Sound now i have a slight issue there. As you can see i'm in favor of OSS and because you can spot that it's not objective. Now i would ask 2 things.
    1. Could you all post your features of OSS and ALSA
    2. Once that's done can i have permission to place that section in the beginners guide? that will also include removing the sound installation from the beginners guide which i already did in my version
My personal reason to do this. i've read this  and am since then pro OSS and against the ALSA/PulseAudio combo. i think that combo needs to get out of linux (most notably Fedora and Ubuntu) ASAP. and oss needs to go back into the linux kernel
    Thank you for your time,
    Mark

I'm an alsa/pulse user, so I'll give a bit of the 'other side'.
    Alsa/pulse
    Pros:-
    network sound
advanced connection of sink/source (including merging sinks)
    bluetooth support!
highly supported by existing apps, either through directly supporting Pulse or through its alsa plugin (you should not need to recompile properly-written apps which do not assume they should write audio data directly to hardware, I think I only needed to recompile mpd on my system)
    Cons:-
Setup isn't the easiest. Can't comment vs OSS4 because I haven't tried it
    OSS4
    Pros:-
Everyone seems to say sound quality is better. I guess that's because they're comparing it with dmix alsa. Use pulse with alsa and you should not notice any difference in sound quality though.
    Cons:-
Most apps nowadays default output to alsa. Meaning OSS plays them using an alsa plugin.
    USB support is admittedly skimpy.
EDIT: Having read the sound article you referred to, my only comment is that the writer really has it in for Pulse... 3 seconds latency, where'd he get that from? I use pulse for audio recording (when I'm lazy to fire up JACK) and while there IS latency, its definitely in the ms range.
    Thanx for the input

    markg85, libflashsupport isn't needed. [1]
pacman -Ql oss | grep flash
If you don't know, please don't put in wiki, this could cause unnecessary problems.  As for the mms section:
If your stream sounds ugly in totem like it did with me then you could try to play it with another codec like ffmpeg (mplayer). That "fixed" the issue for me. This will not fix the issue that somehow pops up in gstreamer when playing MMS streams but it will give you the option to play it with good sound quality. Playing it in mplayer is simple:
    # mplayer mmsh://yourstreamurl
Could you fix this?  ffmpeg is not a codec .  Also define ugly, and what is somehow?
markg85 wrote:Thanx a lot for your feedback. i will certainly use it when i make more edits.
As for the things you didn't know. As soon as i fully understand how i can get a microphone working in OSS i will add that to the wiki as well. Unless you already know it.. in that case, feel free to add it.
For the mic, I did get mine going.  Can't remember just how I did mine (sorry, think I had to disable one of the inputs),  but do remember to prevent it from passing through the speakers had to disable "Misc Microphone".

For libflashsupport on the same page you linked it clearly states:
    #  Flash V9 and V10 require libflashsupport to output sound via OSS. Typically a 32-bit version of the library is required.
    # Flash V10 has a 64-bit version which requires a 64 bit libflashsupport.
Also i tested it with and without libflashsupport. On archlinux (x64 running here) there most certainly is a need for libflashsupport when you want to have sound in your flash. And yes i tested the archlinux OSS version and the mercurial version (running now) bith need it  installed manually! On my pc sound in flash didn't work without it but did with it. So, no not removing from the wiki as it's needed. But i see you removed it for me! please do NOT do that if you didn't even verified it. I use flash 10 x64 and i need it!
As for the ffmpeg "codec" changed it to backend.
And i did get the microphone working near perfect: http://www.4front-tech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=13192
Now for some news you all might like.
On my school i need to do an investigation to whatever i want and i'm heavily thinking about investigating the pros/cons of alsa compared to oss (or oss compared to alsa). That investigation will take from monday next week till next mondey till friday 23 of oktober. In that investigation i'm going to do some in depth look of alsa and oss and that will include the usability as well.
Following up on that investigation i will spend another 8 weeks on my school making a volume control application that can be used with alsa and oss and easily expandable with other sound systems. The goal of this is to make one sound application that can manage (in the first place) alsa and oss. oss is going to be implemented and alsa is probably going to be dummy implemented because it's likely way to much for me to implement both.
Before you get to exited, both projects (investigating and making the application) are just made up today and i just don't know if both will get accepted by my school. I asked one teacher and he liked the idea a lot and could potentially have a value for the sound management under linux. Once i do get this started i will involve the community (YOU!) with this since this project can't be done without the community specially the investigation.
And once i start and have something to tell/ask i will blog about it on http://blog.mageprojects.com
    edit::
And this idea already got dumped. read more a few posts down or click: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 34#p612634

  • In Reply to : How to validate org.jdom.Document object using xsd: dvohra09

    Hi All
I am creating org.jdom.Document object using constructor Document() and adding children using setRootElement(), setChildren() and addContent() methods. The children are objects of org.jdom.Element. If i want to validate the org.jdom.Document using xsd what i have to do. Thanks in anticipation.

I tried the below code and it is always giving the
Parsing fatal error : The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed.
But it is possible to validate the same Document object as right document after writing it onto xml file using XMLOutputter and parsing it using DOMParser
    Thanks in anticipation
    org.jdom.Document document;
    String documentString=document.toString();

  • What are the differences between PD objects and PA objects?

can any one tell me What are the differences between PD objects and PA objects?

PA is based on Infotypes 0000-0999. PD is based on Infotypes 1000-1999, chief being Objects Infotype 1000. Objects Infotype is the source of different Object Types such as Person, Position, Org Unit etc. You can check that through transaction OOOT.

  • Data types and data objects

diff b/w data types and data objects

    hi prasanth,
    Data Types and Data Objects
Programs work with local program data – that is, with byte sequences in the working memory. Byte sequences that belong together are called fields and are characterized by a length, an identity (name), and – as a further attribute – by a data type. All programming languages have a concept that describes how the contents of a field are interpreted according to the data type.
In the ABAP type concept, fields are called data objects. Each data object is thus an instance of an abstract data type. There are separate name spaces for data objects and data types. This means that a name can be the name of a data object as well as the name of a data type simultaneously.
    Data Types
Data types are templates for creating data objects. Data types can be defined independently in the ABAP program or in the ABAP Dictionary. As attributes of a data object, data types can also exist in a non-independent state. Data types do not use any memory space for work data, but may require memory for administration information.
A data object is an instance of a data type and occupies as much memory space as its type specifies. An ABAP program only works with data that is available as content of data objects. Data objects are either created implicitly as named data objects, or exanonymous data objects using CREATEDATA.

  • SoD Analysis , tables to relate roles, transactions and auth objects

    Hi everyone,
I am analyzing my company SAP roles in terms of segregation of duties, however I having a problem.
I need a table/report to give me for each role, every transactions and for each transaction in the role every authorization objects.
For example I want to know for Role B that have transaction C which have the follow authorization object D with values X and Y.
Therefore I want to know for each role and respective transactions which are only display or/and execute or/and editable. How can I do that?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
There is no default report/table which gives you the required information. However, you can achieve this by using SQVI. Join the tables, and create a tcode for the same. Refer the below link:
Re: SAP Query in SQVI transaction
Alternatively, you can download all the data into spreadsheet and create Pivots to plot the information.
The other alternative is to have a custom program built which takes the information from AGR_DEFINE, AGR_AGRS, AGR_1251, AGR_1252, AGR_TCODE tables.
    Hope this helps!!

  • Flex2 and shared objects

    Hello all
We have made a cool FLEX application (which also in on Flex
showcase) and it works like a charm with Firefox, while in IE it
will go down in flames with an IE-exception after some minutes of
    active use.
And we cannot find the error. We have a suspicion that this
is related to our use of shared objects.
The application displays financial charts, and the values are
stored in the cache as a shared object, so it will display faster
the next time. This works perfect with Firefox and in IE not.
    Please try this out:
    Radar Lite
In IE, you break it by switching stocks in the grid control,
this will trigger a get on new chartvalues that will be stored in
    shared objects
I have been googling like crazy to find a solution of this
problem, without success. Has anyone here heard of a problem
similar to this. We could really need some help here.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there
I am facing the same problem , My problem is "I have
developed a rss reader ,the App is running fine and getting refresh
in Mozilla but the it is not getting refresh in IE . "
I am trying to solve this problem from last 3 days but cant
    get it right ,
I need some advice and also some sort of help of i can get
