Org Chart 3.0 : Admin Console Error
Hi
Version: Org Chart 3.0
In AdminConfig->ORgChart->Hierarchies->Position, the pforile step (after Details Designer)
has an yellow triangle. When I move my mouser over, it says:
An errror has occured when initializing this step: java.lang.NullPointerException:while trying to
invole the method com.nakisa.framework.configuration.detailsPresentationConfiguration.toXML() of an
object loaded from a local variable.
Therefore, I can never go into the Profile step.
Has anyone seen this error before?
Thanks.
Can you list your build version (from front page of Admin Console) plus which OS you are on and which version of NW CE you installed (7.1 or 7..2)?
I have never seen the error. I am sat in front of 3.0 OrgChart Admin console right now and don't get the error.

Admin Console errors in fresh install on Windows 2003 Enterprise.
I have attempted to install 6.1 SP4 on two different Windows 2003 Enterprise boxes. Neither has W2K3 SP1 on them. The installs proceed using a typical install with no errors reported. All defaults were accepted during the install. I can start the server for the Admin and web server instances. I can hit the default page on the web server instance. When I attempt to launch the admin console, I am prompted to logon, as expected. I enter my credentials and promptly get an HTTP 500 error. I check the logs in C:\Sun\WebServer6.1\https-admserv\logs\errors and find the following line:
[26/Apr/2005:12:43:26] failure ( 2596): for host 192.168.175.128 trying to GET /https-admserv/bin/index, cgi_scan_headers reports: HTTP4044: the CGI program C:\Sun\WebServer6.1\bin\https\admin\bin\index.exe did not produce a valid header (program terminated without a valid CGI header. Check for core dump or other abnormal termination)
I searched for others reporting similar problems and the closest I could come to an answer was to make sure cookies were enabled on the brower (they are). I get the same error in IE and Firefox, both locally and remotely. After becoming frustrated with one W2K3 server, I decided to try on another. Exactly the same errors.
Increased loglevels in the server.xml provide no additional logging for this problem. Any pointers to a resolution would be most appreciated as I'm about ready to scrap Sun and move to Apache.
Thanks,
SeanYes, there appear to be problems where certain old versions of Netscape and iPlanet products can leave old DLLs lingering in the Windows system32 directory.
I'd check for the following files in the Windows system32 directory (typically C:\WINNT\system32 or C\WINDOWS\system32):
libnspr4.dll
libplc4.dll
libplds4.dll
nss3.dll
nssckbi.dll
smime3.dll
ssl3.dll
nsldap32v50.dll
nsldappr32v50.dll
nsldapssl32v50.dll
If you find any of these files, you can try replacing them with a copy from your Web Server install. Don't forget to backup first.
Please report back what you find! -

Users cannot connect BPC Excel, Admin Console except bpc_sysadmin
Hi experts!
We use MultiServer BPC 7.5 MS sp06 Installation
Servers
1. bpcweb - WEB (IIS) on Windows 2008 R2 x 64 (in AD)
2. bpcapp - BPC App Server on Windows 2008 R2 x 64 (in AD)
3. bpcdb - DB/OLAP MS SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows 2008 R2 x 64 (in AD)
Installation on AD users and OK, Diagnostic on Server Manager - OK
We use AD authentification and Local too.
I have added 2 users to Admin TEAM with full rights on AppShell and on our AppSet: one user from AD another from Local AppServer
Users can connect into BPC Web, can select AppSets and Applications.
But when I try connect to BPC Excel or Admin Console - after I enter user login, password and domain - appear message
"Couldn't authetificate user id or password. Back and check, that entered valid credentials" (translation from Russian).
And when I try connect by bpc_sysadmin everything OK.
Thank you for help
Best regards
IaroslavHi!
All versions of OS, SQL, IIS, BPC and other are the same versions on all Environments, same AD.
Our Environmets:
DEV - Single Server - all connections - OK
TEST - MultiServer (1: BPC App/WEb; 2: DB/OLAP) - all connections - OK
PROD - MultiServer (1: BPC App;2: Web; 2: DB/OLAP) - connect to Excel and Admin Console - Error

Nakisa Org Chart Admin Console query
Dear Experts,
We're currently using the Visualization Solutions by Nakisa 4.0 SP1. I've recently been doing some tinkering in Nakisa Org Chart Admin Console. My query here is regarding the Data Center Options tab therein.
Upon clicking the Data Connections I'm directed to the Manage Connections screen. I would like to better understand the impact that changing the connection strings in the 'SAPConnection' and the 'SAPRoleMappingConnection' will have on the application and the admin console. 'SAPConnection' and 'SAPRoleMappingConnection' are both SAP connections.
So far I'm able to decipher that the Org Chart, Listing and Chartbook tabs inherit the changes made to the connection string in SAPConnection but I'm unable to understand what impact will this have on the application itself.
Also, it would be greatly helpful if you could provide me a link to some documentation regarding the Nakisa Admin Console and some standard implementations for the same.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Best Regards,
MayankMaynak.
You won't see any immediate change as AdminConsole is a tool that loads the configuration into it, but must then write it out and publish it for it to take effect (users may also need to close browser sessions and log back in to see the changes). Changes are usually applied (you make the change), submitted (set as ready for inclusion in the build), saved (configuration files containing the changes are saved to disk) and published (put live for the end user). See the Admin Guide and the articles I referenced for some further details on this.
You say you made changes. Did you publish them and have the users login again? If not then you would not expect to see any change for the users. If you did change it, are you sure there is a difference in the structural data? If there is a difference and you did not see it, my next question would be is this a staged solution? i.e. is the SAP data extracted to a database and then the visualisation occurring from that data store? If it is then you would not see a change until your next extract run and then only if you also changed the SAPExtractorConnection.
With regards to "tentative errors", once you publish your build changes assuming your connections are good (and there are options to test the connections) then you shouldn't have any errors. However depending upon your precise configuration you could get an error As an example, you could get a situation where the chart is configured to put the users in at their own org unit as the root of the chart and if they don't have an associated position then they could see an error message. If you have a particular issue that you cannot resolve then your best option is probably to search this SCN space and if you cannot find a solution, post the details of your issue to this SCN space in a new thread. Perhaps use Welcome and Guidelines for Posting Discussions - Please Read Before Posting! as the basis for what you might include. Some of the points in it may well be/have been relevant to this discussion.
In the instance you refer to, nodes are multiple instances of the application. If you have a very large organisation then you may need to host your application and load balance it across multiple instances on multiple servers. If you have only one instance of OrgChart running, you have just one node and so don't need to do anything other than publish in this one place.

Stephen. -

Any ideas?Hi,
Another way to "find" the URL for the oamconsole, that I use if I'm not familiar with the configuration I'm working on is to first log into the Adminserver WL Console, then go to "Deployments".
Then, find "oamconsole" in the Deployments listed (on the right).
Click on that, then on the next page, look for the "Testing" tab. Click on the "Testing" tab, which which show the /oamconsole app.
Click on the "+" to expand the tree, and you should see a bunch of different URLs on the right, e.g., if you have OAM console deployed to managed servers, etc., there'll be different URLs for those, etc., and you can just click on the links to open up OAM Console in your browser.

Error start managed server from admin console in SSL mode
I have configured Admin server, managed servers and node manager on the same physical server and commonly using a single SSL sertificate.
There is no problem to start node manager, admin server and managed server individually. But if I try to start managed server from the admin console then I am getting the following errors.

From the admin console ... Are you able to check the status of Node Manager ?
If yes ... please check the SSL configuration of managed servers ...
Check the domain administration port also.

Errors before & while in Admin console : help
Hi Team,
I'm new to Informatica and having issues installing the Informatica 9.1.0 version on windows 64 bit local machine.
Firstly installed Oracle 11g r2 and has no issues, then started with Informatia Server first referring to links like
http://www.disoln.org/2012/09/Informatica-PowerCenter-9-Installation-and-Configuration-Complete-Guide.html
but at point in creating a repository service it is giving error DOM 10079 in in Admin console
"Could not execute action...
The PowerCenter Repository Service was created, but the service could not be enabled. You must enable the service before you can create content. The following error occurred while attempting to create the content.
Error - [DOM_10079] Cannot start service [rep_systenname-PC] on any node specified for the service. Check the service log and resolve any error listed for the service. Then restart the service."
Please help as I'm new to informaica and most of the failing the process though I made sure i followed all steps correctly with the credentials entered fine.
Not sure if there if I have to set the PATH Environment Variable for the Informatica Server and Informatica Repository Server, unsure on how to do this, if it might be the case.
My location of installation is C:\Informatica\9.1.0\
Database credentials are gievn fine to my knowledge.
Already checked few threads like
https://forums.oracle.com/message/9959695
http://datawarehouse.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/informatica-l/informatica-9-installation-error-dom_10079-4731149
but no go.
ThanksIm able to access the database and connect just fine. My database username is system and password is orcl . Here are my credentials below from the beginning of installation created for Informatica 9.1.0 application
database user id : inf
user password: inf
database address: localhost:1521
database service name: orcl
==================
Admin Console details:
Domain username: Administrator
password: admin
repositoty name: repo_Technikhil-PC
database username inf
db password inf
connection string: orcl
Got the Environmental Variables also set correctly for the Informatica Server bin location and did a restart of services.
Also copied tnsnames.ora file from server to client folder
Not sure where I'm going wrong...:( -
Error in creating a new user in j2ee 14 admin console
Hi,
I am getting the following error while trying to create a new user using the j2ee 1.4 admin console.:
A "com.sun.enterprise.tools.guiframework.exception.FrameworkError" was caught. The message from the exception: "Unable to get View for ViewDescriptor 'fileUsers'"
The root cause is "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0"
Plz proide me with solutions
Regads,
TanmoyThis problem wil happen only if you've created a user with an empty group id, and this issue is fixed for FCS .
You have two workarounds to use adminGUI for managing users:
1. Use CLI, and create a group id to this user, then you can use adminGUI.
2. Other option is remove the empty group id user from domain.xml, and then you can come back to adminGUI to create the user with some group id. I prefer the 1st option.
