Hi Sudeep,
        Organizational Management allows you  to set up your companyu2018s organizational structure.
You can use this flexible tool to maintain the company structure, including the positions and employees in an application, and assign specific attributes to the organizational units. Organizational Management allows you to specify organizational data automatically in a business transaction using the organizational structure. It can also be used to determine business partners; for example, you can find the employee responsible for a business transaction.
You can further Select Determination of Data for Organization as per the following

Teritorry Management
Territory Management enables you to structure and organize your sales market by dividing it into territories according to criteria of your choice (such as size, distance, revenue, products, number of visits). The organizational model reflects the internal view of your organization. The territory hierarchy reflects the market view. Changes to the territory hierarchy usually occur more frequently than changes to the organizational model. The customer base can increase or decrease and territories must be resized or reallocated to accommodate this, to ensure that a sales representative has the appropriate workload.
Territory Management enables you to structure and organize your sales market by dividing it into territories according to criteria of your choice (such as size, distance, revenue, products, number of visits). These territories are structured in a territory hierarchy.
In Territory Hierarchy you can Classify Territories as per your Requirements

    Dear Experts,
    I'm meeting unexpected system behaviour (CRM Release 2007) during the configuration of the territory management, below the steps I have done:
    1. Define a new Employee from BP transaction
    2. Go to "Organizational Model", create a new position under the existing organizational unit and assign the new BP to it.
    3. Go to "Maintain Territory Hierarchy", add a regional level to the existing structure, add the new BP and set the appropriate territory attributes.
    4. Go to "Maintain sales area for territories from Org. Model", select the new regional level and click on "Show Sales Areas". The system shows as attributes status "Position 50000125 has no sales areas".
    Where can I set the sales area for the territory?

    Hi,
    In TCODE CRMM_TERRMAN under the tab where the positions for a territory are assigned,
    check if Territory attributes are maintained. There should be SA_SALES_AREA maintained here.
    Also in TCODE PPOMA_CRM under the Function Tab check whether the Sales Area for the position is maintained.

  • Org Model structure function changing after saving also

    HI,
    I am new to CRM and learning CRM.i have created org model by creating marketing,sales and service structure.
    everything works fine.
    but my issue is when i click in service org tab and in function i am selecting service and service org.then i am going to sales org structure and click on it in function i see service is enabled where i have enabled sales before .In same case if i m scrolling through marketing and going to service structure then in service structure in function tab marketing is enabled.
    Can any body tell me any functionality is available in sap CRM to restrict above structure once i have saved it .it will be as usual irrespective If I scroll to different structure.please help me regarding this.

    I am looking for some step wise guideline for conversation of SAP CRM org model to sap ecc, I want to do the mapping. Can any one please help for required steps.
    and one more thing is I tried to do this by "Convert Org. Model to Represent Multiple Assignments in SAP ECC" option in crm 5.0 but i failed, some error happened, so how can I revert back to crm org model.??

    Hi
    Could someone tell me abt the use territory management on
    top of organizational structure?
    In my company, we are starting the implementation of sap crm. We are considering the use of territory management. However all attributes we would use are already maintained in the organizational model existing in R/3. Are there advantages we should consider to justify that we would have to maintain the org model and the territories?

    territory assignment is always at the topmost level.it is standard practice being followed in CRM
    see the advantage is that when you do segmentation you can use territory for the segmentation purpose
    as you said you ahve your entire org structure maintained and all the attributes assigned  to it
    so now you have entire thing ready ,having territory gives you the upperhand in that when you just assign attributes to the territory ,it will be automatically assigned to the entire org structure
    you tell yourself that what will be more easy assigning position 100 times or assigning just 1 time so that for single assignment 100 assignment takes place
    so this way territory give you useful enhancement to do your segmentation under condtion that you have your org structure ready with the attributes.
    else you wont be able to use this utility.

    You can download organization from R3 to CRM in the following way.
    go to SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Organization Management -> Data Transfer -> Copy SAP ECC Sales Structure. This is the place from where you can replicate the sales structure from ECC. You can have a look at the IMG Implementation Guide for a more detailed information.
    As for the BP not coming as an Organization, you need to activate the switch to integrate the BP and Organization functionality. The link for the same is given below:
    SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Business Partner -> Integration Business Partner-Organization Management --> Set up Intergration with Organization Management . Here you need to activate the following Switch - HRALX OBPON ON Integration O-BP Activated.

    have maintained the org model with sales org and position in crm 5.0. This position is President sales and would like to maintain General Manager under this position as a subordinate. While doing so, I get the following message:
    <b>Before you select a function, select suitable entries in the structure.
        Message no. 5W707
    Diagnosis
        You have chosen a function for which a selection of  suitable entries in the structure is a prerequisite.
    Procedure
        Select one or more suitable functions in the structure and choose the function again. You can use the right mouse-button to display all the functions you can carry out for an entry.</b>

    Thanks for the inputs. I have rewarded points.
    As per your mail, we could maintain two positions under single organization unit one with the 'head of org unit' check and the other without that. Now they both appear under the same org unit but they appear as two positions (only difference is that the icons are different).
    What I am looking at is, Sales Org 1 should have a sub tree (arrow mark) with Mgr Director position, when I drop down this positions arrow mark, then I only I should be able to see the General Mgr's position (the GM's position should not appear parallel to the MD's position on the tree structure but should be within the MD's position)
    Can we assign any position to the head position by any standard means ?

  • Changing The Validity Dates In Org Model in CRM- User Level

    How can we restrict the Validity Dates in Organisation Structure at User Level.
    I need that the user should be given some specific dates<b> ( Valid till or assigned till )</b> while assigning in the org. And it should be visible always in the Org Model.
    We tried using Delimited Date Function, but the User gets ellapsed if the Validity is expired.With the business point of view, <b>the requirement is that all user should be listed in Org model with respect to any dates.this would mean that if a user is terminated we would want to change the Valid till date in the Org</b>

    Business partner number and Object ID is automatically determines by system when creating a org unit.
    I dont find any configuration to create org unit with your own BP number and object ID. You have option to make repairs to the existing org unit.
    Please find the below path to repair the org unit
    IMG -> CRM -> Master Data -> Business partner -> Integration Business partner -Org management -> Create Business partner initially
    Select the org unit and execute to get all the org units.
    You can select the org units with errors /warnings and click on start repair to get automatic assignment of BP.

    You can execute transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE to download the R/3 sales areas into CRM.
    Only new sales organizations are downloaded with CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE when is executed a second time, therefore is highly recomended to execute this transaction once. You can see it in the documentation of this transaction: IMG: CRM  > master data  > orga. management  > data transfer   >Copy R/3 Sales Structure.
    The download from R/3 into CRM is supposed to be one-time download and all the maintanence should be done in both systems separately.
    If you have already created organizational data seperated in CRM and ECC, therefore here there are just two options: either make all necessary assignments manually in PPOMA_CRM, or delete the CRM Org Model completely and rerun a new initial load with the above mentioned transaction.
    To maintain the sales organization data manually in ppoma_crm, you need to go to the organizational unit's 'Function' tab, enter the corresponding R/3 sales organization there.
    As for the distribution channel and division, they should be maintained in the 'Attributes'.

    CRM => O 050000001 /20/00 (Sales Org/ Distribution Channel/ Division)
    Corresponding R/3=> USAO/20/00 (Sales Org/ DChannel/ Division)
    How do we transport it to Quality Client of CRM?
    Do I have to setup the entire Org Model Again?

    I would like to create a list of organization(s) created under one org model.  I had searched for Organization model related tables , I could get all organization objects in table HRP1000 , but here I am having Ogr Objects other then my Organization Model as well.

         ORG Region 2

         ORG Region 3
              Org Region 3.1

    root org model is maintained through SPRO settings and this is done SPRO->CRM->master data->Org management.
    Root org model is nothing but the parent org structure under which the remaining org structure can be maintained and this can be done through easy access.
    for example you have company ABC that has sales organizations 123, 456 etc, you create the root org model ABC in spro and then can maintian the sale org 123, 456 from easy access.
