Org Objects- Number/Number range
Hello Everyone,
Is it possible for the org objects to have the same number id say 50000004 for both Job (C) and position (S).
Thanks
Marian
Hi Marian,
In SPRO go to Pers. Manag. and then to the Basic Settings in Organizational Management. You will find Mantain Number Range table there.
Just assign the Job and position numbers as You wish and thats it.

BhaskarThis because of the missing SD Document Number Range.
You can check this in tcode SNRO for object RV_BELEG.
Ask your SD Consultant to Change the number range assignment or create that missing 01 number range number object.
This will solve your problem,

Object CO_ABRECHN: number range to settlement document CO object
Hi,
We received a system generated message: number range object CO_ABRECHN 5 days left
Object CO_ABRECHN: number range to settlement document CO object.
We have to increase the number range. I know this number range impact Production Order settlement and Internal order settlement.
Can anyone please let me know, if this number range impact any other functionality too?
Quick response will be appreciated
Thanks & RegardsHello,
Normally CO Number ranges are YEAR independent. I am not sure from where you are getting 5 days warning.
First start report RSSNR0T1 for object "CO_ABRECHN". If the system determines inconsistencies for the object regarding number ranges and number range groups, these are listed. Press "Save" to eliminate the inconsistencies from the list. (WARNING: use the Save function only if you are sure that there is no order settlement is in process. Otherwise update terminations may occur!)
Execute the correction program RKCORR07 (automatic execution of the first option).
Refer SAP Note 14764.
Thanks,

For object RV_BELEG , number range interval does not exit
I am receiving this error when trying to generate billing document type L2 for a newly created company code.
Exisiting company codes are generating billing documents so obviously this is to do with a company code related definition.
Any thouhgts ?
-MarkPlease check if the error is
"For object RV_BELEG , number range interval does not exit"
"For object RV_BELEG , number range interval <b>10</b> does not exit"
10 used as an example here you may be getting any 2-digit alpha-numeric value in stead of 10.
Also Check
If you are using
Include program : RV60AFZZ
Routine: USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE
If so then for each plant you have assign a number range for each billing type (L2- here).
Thanks,

For Object RV_BELEG, number range SD does not exist
Dear Gurus,
I have created a sales order VA01 with 1 material, and when I try to print the invoice, I have the following message of error:
'For Object RV_BELEG, number range SD does not exist'
I have checked my output types, they have been rightly assigned to the invoice forms.
OK, so If I have to assign number ranges to sales documents, how can I do that? Do I have to talk to FI guys to?
Please help.
Regards
ChristianThats SD numbeer range that is missing. Each invoice has two numbers one in SD and one in FI.
Just go to SNRO type RV_BELEG and maintain it (the name of the number range you have in your billing document type setup in spro)

Rgrds,

No points to me please as this answer is not from me!

Answer from: Mauro Bianchi (SAP moderator)
This issue with the internal number assignment occurs due to bufferingin the application server. Buffering increases the performance of theserver and documents don't loose their properties. Nevertheless, it may cause gaps in the internal number assignment and sometimes the numbers may not be chronologically assigned. As I stated before, this won't cause inconsistencies in the system and is usually not an inconvenient, unless you require sequential number assignment in your documents due
to legal reasons. In this case, you'll have to disable buffering in the application server.
in order to disable buffering Just access transaction SNRO and enter the Object type MATBELEGhttp:// Number Range for Material and Phys. Inventory Document In change mode, in the menu bar, please, follow the path:
Edit -> Set-up buffering -> No buffering
Check note 62077 which describes this issue in detail -
The same Object Version Number for the same person id multiple times
Hello all,
I am currently facing an issue with HRMS tables and the object version number for employees. I am trying to write a report but due to the same object version number for the same person appearing in several row i am getting duplicate information. For example,
person id 91 object version number 32 is on 4 rows and i have no idea why...help please guys, I'm at a lost so far 50 people are facing the same issue.Hi Baal666bobo,
The person table is date-tracked, so the PK has effective start and end dates as well.
Get the correct record with sysdate(or any particular date) and then check the OVN.

Time_building_block_id and object version number
Hello,
could someone help me out with an explanation how the time_building_block_id and object version number to be interpreted?
Are these independent? What actions create new ID and new ovn?
My first idea was that one ID can have different instances in the table with different object version numbers. However I found cases belonging to the same parent buildingblock where both the id and ovn are different.
So based on this only one of the columns could be primary.
However for the joins both are used typically at the same time, suggesting that the two together constitutes a primary key.
Are the DETAIL level records belonding to the same DAY level record to be treated as co-existing entries and their measure to be summarized? Or only the latest (bigger ovn?) to be considered, so it is an updated version of the record with the previous ovn?
thanks! The version number in the TC Building blocks is used to identify changes to timecard building blocks. It is not the same as an object version number on a record in a table.
OTL keeps an audit history of all changes to the timecard, at whatever level they occur. It uses this in retropay processes to identify the 'true' hours to use.
TC Building blocks have a 'scope', for example there are building blocks at these levels:
Timecard
Period / Application
Day
Detail
If you entered 8 hours on a new timecard for Monday 07/09/09 it would create a building block record for that date and call it version 1.
If you later make a change to that DAY, OTL will create a new record with version 2. Say this one shows 7 hours.
OTL can then interpret this as -8 + 7 = -1 and make the appropriate adjustment.
Hope that helps explain it!

Problem in creating the ADODB.Connection object Error Number returned:-2147024770
Hi,
We are migrating our applications from Windows 2003 to 2008 application server. We have vbs script in a job which is invoked from Tivoli Workload Scheduler (Windows)/JOBLNCH 8.5.1. We are getting the error while creating ADOBD object (Error Number returned:-2147024770).
The error does not occur when we directly run the job on the 2008 server, but only when invoked throught the TWS scheduler. Also, this error is not occurring on 2003 server when run through the TWS.
Here is the code snippet used to create object.
set oSrcConnect = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
Could you please help us identify if any settings need to be changed to avoid this error. Many Thanks for looking into the question.Hi,

This usually indicates that the COM object you're using is trying to load a DLL that is not installed.
Based on only this error message, there's no way we can tell you how to fix your script.

Hi all,
In the OAF dev guide, they have given some information on object version number column which can be used to store the version of the row data entered.
This can be achieved by mapping a attribute to ObjectVersionNumber attribute.
I tried mapping it i didn't see any attribute with the name ObjectVersionNumber in the BC4j EO wizard.
Can somebody please give more information on this
And do correct me if i gone wrong somewhere
Thanks in advance
AshwiniAnother use of this column is to maintain the history record. So each time you update the record, another record with same primary key, but with an increased OVN.
