ORG Rules Set but Job Running without consider them

Hi,
I have a doubt. I have set Organizational Rules for the company i am working at. But i wanna run a job without consider Organizational Rules. I set the corresponding Parameter in its correspondig value and then i run the Background Job Risk Analysis.
I have the following doubt: The Org values set in $(OrgField) in all the functions, when  i run this job, which value takes?? I assume that "*", is that ok?
Kind Regards
Isaac

    Hello.
I have already bought quicktime pro but after I had to reinstall it is running again without the pro options. I logged into apple.com and there is nowhere where I can find my actualisation or key code which I have paid for to make it run as pro.
Does anyone know where to find it or how to fix this problem so it runs as pro again without having to pay for it again?
    Thank you for your help,

  • SSIS job runs in designer but fails in SQL Agent - timeout error

I have several SSIS packages that have been running without issue for well over a year. These jobs were imported into SQL Server and run on a schedule with SQL Agent.
Over the weekend these jobs failed with the message:
Description: Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.  The statement has been terminated.  Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider  Started:  8:13:01 AM
Finished: 8:13:31 AM  Elapsed:  30.155 seconds.  The package execution failed.  The step failed.
When I look at the package history it doesn't even show that the job attempted to run over the weekend. As such I assume that the error is related to SQL Agent attempting to connect to the SSIS job.
As stated in the title, the jobs run without issue in the designer.
I did stop and restart SQL to see if that would have an effect - sadly it did not.
I attempted to reload one of the packages. More specifically I re-imported it and allowed it to overwrite the existing project, This step completed ok and moved to the next step - deploy the project. It fails to deploy the project with the following error
Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

    Hi Mike,
Based on the error message, we can infer that the issue is caused by connection or command timeout.
To work around this issue, we can increase the connection timeout and command timeout, buffer size and create two indexes in the SSISDB catalog to improve the performance. For more details, please see:

  • Rules Set Issues and Information

    Hi every one,
I am running a Rule Set.
In Job Console it still shows processing after a while, instead it should be showing completed status, when I expand the rule set in job console to watch the problem it shows that 1 rule is in still processing.
I ran the rule again and still the same issue, but this time when i expand the rule set, the order in which the business rule should execute is changed and a different rule is shown in processing which is being completed in the last attempt.
1)Does any one have any clue how to solve this issue? Or what is causing this Issue?
2)The rules in rule set runs in the same sequence as defined in rule set? or they just run randomly? why job console shows as if these rules are executed randomly??
    Regards.

    Hi Mehmet,
With due respect, I think the user11978217 might be facing the issue mentioned in Oracle doc. +Hyperion Planning Job Console Shows Incorrect Information About job completion. [ID 1429796.1]+, wherein planning job console shows running status but if we see the sessions in EAS console we don't find any for concerned request.
    Hi user11978217,
If you see the last column in Sessions window which is "Request Status", you would see the status of one of the session as running/processing whenever you would execute the Rule Set or for that matter any calculation or request. If the Rule Set is executed completely, this session which was showing status as Running/Processing would disappear, on refresh.
    Hope this helps.

  • SQL job running DTEXEC.EXE via PowerShell step produces wrong characters in result tables. Running the same DTEXEC.EXE in PowerShell x86 window produces correct results.

I've created a package in SSDT (Visual Studio 2012) to import DBF tables into MSSQL 2014 via a wizard.
Source DBF files contain tables with Russian (Cyrillic) characters in records fields.
Created package works fine, produces correct results (imports Cyrillic characters as needed) while:
    •debugging in VS2012
•deploying package in SSISDB and running the package via PowerShell x86:
    &"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe" /Server "server\mssql2014" /ISServer "\SSISDB\import\Integration Services Project16\Package1.dtsx";
But when I create a SQL Agent job with a single PowerShell step that contains the same command and run the job it produces wrong characters in resulting tables. So, the problem is in wrong code page (or encoding). The correct tables with records are
produced and job runs without errors.
    I tried
    chcp 1251; # 855, 866 -- all of them
    &"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe" /Server "server\mssql2014" /ISServer "\SSISDB\import\Integration Services Project16\Package1.dtsx";
in SQL Agent PowerShell step, but with no positive result.
Anyone encountered such a behavior? How to fix it?

  • CC Org Rules usage

Hi experts, i just want to have a quick check on who have implemented Org Rules in any of their implementation.
In a big Organization where staff are in charge of cross department or region, we need to eliminate false positive. One way is to determine whether there are many of such staff who contribute to such false positive.
    a. If there are only a few, does it make more sense to mitigate these users or create Org rules to eliminate such cases?
    b. Also , i'm not very comfortable to know that when i go to Informer and run Risk analysis with org rules, i need to run the report under 'Org. Level' and not 'User level'. It seems like an extra burden on top of running the normal User or Role level.

    Hi,
Generally, if there are only a few users that show up and they are definitely false positives, it's better to create mitigating controls to remove them from the report.  However, if there are a large number of users, then you have to examine your rule definitions to determine whether customization of the rules is required.
    Thanks,
    Santosh

  • Latest Rule Set Implementation

    Hello ,
My client is asking us to implement latest rule set in our CC system , could someone tell me , is there any guide on how to do it , I already read note :  1326497 , I want the procedure like step by step implementation of this or else steps and tentative time lines involved in this procedure.
    Thanks
    Srikanth

    Hello Srikanth,
I assume you would be having a customisd rule set at your client place (which can be a subset or a superset of Standard rule set from SAP). Thus, what you need to look in for in the new Rule set is that how many of these rules are actually applicable for your implementation. There might be N number of rules in the new rule sets but the rules that might be applicable to you might be very less. In this casde you need to sit with your Controls team and find out the applicable ones. This is because if you import the new rule-set as a whole you might loose your current rules, as it will just over-write the old rule set..
Once these are identified you may import these into your Rule-set. The details for how to accomplish this is stated step by step in the USer guide and would not be a problem if you follow that carefully.

  • Account is SysAdmin - but Non-SysAdmins have been denied permission to run DTS Execution job steps without a proxy account.

    Hi,
I have a SQL Agent Job that executes an SSIS package.  However when I manually execute the SQL Agent job from SSMS I get the following seemingly common error:
"Non-SysAdmins have been denied permission to run DTS Execution job steps without a proxy account."
However, the job owner is a member of both the SQL SysAdmin role, and also a member of the operating system's Administrators group.
The SQL Agent Service is running under Local Service (not something within my control unfortunately).
I have found many posts suggesting setting up a proxy account etc, but that seems to be for the case where the job owner is not a sys admin.  To be clear, the job owner IS a sysadmin.
This is occurring in the Production environment.  I have two other, seemingly identical environments that are working fine, so i am wondering if I have missed something obvious.
    Any idea what I've missed?
    details:
    Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
    SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP2) - 10.50.4000.0 (X64)    Enterprise Edition
Note - the jobs were migrated to the broken environment by scripting them from Env 1, with If exists, drop, create etc.
    Thanks
    Guy
    Guy

Obviously, as soon as I post this I figure out the issue:
In the script i had provided for migrating the job to the new environment (to which I have no access) the DBA replaced the @owner_login_name value with a different login.  The account he used does have SysAdmin privileges  but for some reason
changing the account in the script did not correctly update in the job.
On opening the job in SSMS it appeared to have the correct owner account, but using GUI to look up the specific account and adding it this way, while appearing to make no difference, has in fact solved the problem.
My assumption therefore is that updating the @owner_login_name when scripting the job is not the same as actually editing the job owner itself.

  • Rule set import - Background job did not run

    Hi,
I am setting up my CC 5.2 production system. I have downloaded from ruleset from the dev CC and imported it into production. However the background job generated did not run. I am implementing SAP note 999785 to fix this, but am wondering what should I do about the rule set? Do I need to delete the rule set and reimport it? As this background job did not run I notice that the permission rules did not generate.
    Any advice is welcome.
    Thanks

    Hi,
as the backgorund job never ran and no rules were created, I can just reimport the ruleset and let the job run. I have tried this and the rules were created successfully

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

IMAP account access by itself does not provide for syncing contacts, calendar events, and notes or anything over the air. This is possible with an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync with the Exchange Server.
If your company email account is an Exchange Account, your company's IT Dept. has enabled IMAP account access for your Exchange account on the Exchange server?
If an Exchange account, the IT Dept. must have ActiveSync enabled for your account on the Exchange Server to create and access the account as an Exchange account which provides Push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for contacts and calendar events with the Exchange Server.

Ok....Got "Problem 2 and 4" solved....still trying to figure out this pop up everytime I click something...it's crazy how fast the pop up blinks...maybe once or 3 blinks then nothing till you close the window, then pop up then disappears...then click something
else and pop up then gone....never seen this before...ive seen it when you tried to get online which turned out to be a virus on a customers cpu I worked on some years ago, I think it has something to do with the deleted files that I spoke of on last
post...I notice it does it on start up as well.....think something is trying to install but not sure. Need to figure out where the appdata or start up folder and see whats in there....maybe it's in there.......so I might wait to see how it acts in the next
couple days for "Problem 1"...but other than that it's running like a champ...so right now I just want to get the pop up windows to stop........thx again for everyone's help on this.

  • SQL server agent job running as Agent Service Account whose service account does not have r/w access but is still able to write?

Hi. I am newer to SQL server security and am reviewing some of our SQL server's configuration to make sure the services are running under accounts with least privilege.  I have a SQL server 2012 instance whose Agent service is configured to run
under an AD user account named 'SQLServices'.  The jobs on this server are configured to run as 'SQL server agent service account', which means they should execute as user 'SQLServices'.  The jobs are set up to execute SSIS packages which read and
write to a database on the same server where the agent job is scheduled and SSIS package installed (all on same server).  The jobs are currently executing without error and are reading writing data correctly.  Upon close examination, it turns out the
SQLServices account is not assigned to the 'sysadmin' role and had no users mapped to any databases on this server.  How are these jobs working?  I verified in profiler that the login name indeed is 'SqlServices'.  I also verified
that SQLServices login has no database access by remote-ing onto the server and trying to log into the DB, and access was denied as expected.  According to the literature, the Agent service needs to be a member of 'sysadmin role' but I am reading
some cases where that is not necessarily the case.  So this is not so concerning.  What is concerning is that the login 'SQLServices' had no access to the databases on that server yet it is reading and writing to the databases as if it does.
The only thing I can think of is maybe jobs run as 'SQL server agent service account' on the same server as the databases it r/w to somehow has some kind of default access.  What am I missing here?  Any input would be helpful.

After 2 days on this forum I found the answer to my own question.  In retrospect, I should have posted this under 'SQL Server Security', but I didn't know it existed.
The 2 threads below explain that Sql agent actually runs using SID (service) NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT if you chose that when you installed.  This will automatically create an associated login NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT in SQL server with sqladmin
role.  This is the login that Agent uses to connect to the local instance of SQL server.  If you changed to domain account to run the service during install or after using config manager, basically NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT is still
used to connect to your local instance behind the scenes (even though you will still see your domain user as account), and the domain account is used to reach outside the server.

  • User cron jobs won't run without home directory

I have a situation where the users are defined through ldap without home directories, but our application creates cron jobs for these users. If a home directory is defined, the cron jobs run. If no home directory is defined, the cron jobs will not run. Is there a way to configure cron to use a global home directory, instead of the user's home directory?
    Kevin

The crontab man page says that cron changes to the users home
directory and then sets up some simple environment and run sh.
    it also talks about /etc/cron.d/cron.allow
So it looks like those users need to be given a home directory
like /tmp , but you need to think about the implication, are the accounts locked to stop logins
    truss -fpl $(pgrep cron)
might show you what it is doing.
it also talks about /etc/cron.d/cron.allow do you have such a file?

  • Job runs auto-purged without previous configuring

    Hi everyone.
I recently installed Grid Control with the new patch release 10.2.0.5 and created some sql jobs to take custom reports from target databases. I noticed that the runs get deleted automatically once they age 1 day.
I had another 10.2.0.4 installation in the past and that never seemed to happen, so without reading at the manual (I'm in a hurry) I'm starting to think that this is a new behaviour in 10.2.0.5.
Does anyone know how can i turn off or configure at will the auto-purge of 1 day old runs? The sql outputs have to remain there until someone deletes them manually in my case.
Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi and thanks.
It's helpful because that way I know that this is more of a display problem (24 hours) rather than a purge setting, but then, even that in turn will affect us after 30 days for what you say. There are two questions now instead of one:
How to change the 24 hour display time default setting for the simple search page?
How to control the purge time for all runs, given the logical neccessity of keeping the query results more than 30 days for whatever porpouse or policy we could have?
