You van create total enterprise sturcture under SPRO > Enterprise structure
Company code:- SPRO > Enterprise structure > Definition > Financial acounting > Define company/Company code
PA/PSA/EG/ESG :- SPRO > Enterprise structute > Definition > Human resource management
Then to assign Company code to to personal area and EG tp ESG, you need to follow below steps.
SPRO > Enterprise structure > Assignment > Assignment of PA to company code and Assignment of EG to ESG.
Then while hiring employee via PA40, you can assign PA, PSA, EG & ESG to employee from drop down.

HR Org. integration with SRM 5.0
Hi,
We are trying to integrate HR org. structure from ECC 6.0 into SRM 5.0. We have replicated the Org str. with O, C, S Object types. But since the HR org. has 25000 Employees assigned to it, we are not sure about how to go about this.
If we replicate all these 25k employees and do not assign roles to them, can we create Shopping Cart on their behalf?

Our situation is like this:
Our HR Org str. has multiple Org Units and has got approx 25K employees assigned to it. We are trying to replicate this to SRM 5.0. While doing so, we have the following doubts in our minds:
1. Since only 250 people out of 25K use SRM, how can we handle this situation? After we will replicate the 25K employees, it will create a BP in SRM. And to create a SC on behalf of someone else, we need to assign a user id to the BP. Please correct if my understanding is not ok. Please give your suggestions.
2. Can all the employees be replicated into SRM w/o affecting the system performance during Workflow?
I have completed all the ALE config with all Infotype filters in ECC 6.0, but when I try to replicate from R/3 (PFAL), no employee data gets replicated to SRM. Can anyone suggest a reason for this?

Error Message ME 083, "Please enter plant" while creating PR or PO
Hi,
I have one problem in my SAP system. Eventhough i maintained everything in IMG customization relevent settings to create PR or PO and Org str well defined with comany, plant etc, assignments of org str well done, while creating PR or PO, system throughs error message "Please enter plant". Eventhough i manually enter the plant number in PR or PO, again i get the same error. The error message number is ME 083. Please guide me how to overcome this error?

Did you create the plant form scratch or did you copy it from an existing one.
If it is the last, check the assignments again.

Network printer doesn't work any more...
I have a network printer at work (xerox workcentre 7232) , it is on 30.30.30.0 subnet and I am on 172 subnet in my company (and I can't change that). 172 is routed to the the 30 network and I can ping the ip address of the printer. The last time I printed something was at least a month ago or more and I had it setup and it worked just fine with the setup utility in cups (localhost:631). Today I go to print something and gnome 3 tells me it's not connected. I remove it and try to add it again with the same ppd and it just keeps telling me it's not connected. Is there a bug with the newest cups? This printer still works in a windows vm.

Looking at the patch included upstream (http://www.cups.org/str.php?L3875), it seems like a SNMP issue regarding supplies levels.
As a temporary workaround, you can disable SNMP supplies levels get in your printer PPD file in /etc/cups/ppd/ adding the directive:
*cupsSNMPSupplies: False
Then restart cups, and remember to resume your printer (cups stops it after an error occurr). You can do it from the web interface (http://localhost:631)
Tested on a Debian box with an office network printer. More info on CUPS PPD directives here: http://www.cups.org/documentation.php/spec-ppd.html

XSLT Enhancement with Java, Tokenize Functionality
I tried the following requirement using EXSLT with no luck. Is there any other alternative to tokenize in XSLT 1.0.
The syntax i have here is

I am leaning towards to Enhancing XSLT with Java Function. As i have less experience with Java, can anybody help me with the code that can be used by XSLT for Tokenize functionality.

In 4.0 / 5.0 it is
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL OR
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM
But these so not exists in SRM 3.0
This is urgent.

1) RFc / ALE settings - they are fine as I could replicate the Prodcut Cat from backend
2)Checked the Backend Systems
3)Checked the Product Cat - Backend System.. Here I have selected each Product Category, assigned R/3 as source system and SRM as Target System (IS THIS OKAY)
4) Checked the Pur Grp - Product Cat Assignment. Pur Grp is the Org Str Id of the Pur Grp in SRM. When I select the Prod Cat, it selects the backend system automatically.
Only thing I have not done so far is that I have not replicated the Vendors. When I try to do it, it does not brings any vendors forward either. I thought I will look into this error later. I hope nothing inter-connected -
Security for value based hierarchy + OLAP

I am using row-level security mechanism described here: http://www.rittmanmead.com/2012/03/obiee-11g-security-week-row-level-security/
It works well for level based hierarchies... but is there a way to apply it to value based OLAP hierarchy in OBIEE 11.1.1.6?
My case is:
- I have parent-child value based hierarchy representing management structure with various depth.
- of course facts are always linked to leaf members of hierarchy
- I need to apply security at different levels. E.g. Office manager should have access to one/multiple offices information (basically all employees he manage currently + his previous office before he was moved)
- In report I display presentation hierarchy that starts at country level and then manager drill to his offices
- At country level, manager should see a measure aggregate only for his offices (not whole country)
In relational database there is no problem:
- I follow rittman blog
- create session variable that store list of all leaf members of hierarchy (employees) managed by manager
- with OBIEE "Manage"->"Identity" I apply filter on fact table and get right measure aggregates at all levels of hierarchy
Issue for OLAP:
- with OBIEE "Manage"->"Identity" I apply filter on OLAP value based hierarchy
- in case of filter "MY_BMM"."Org Str"."Org Str Key" = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."LEAFS_LIST") -> when manager include hierarchy column to report there are no results because hierarchy starts at country level and he have no access to country data
- to workaround it I tried: "MY_BMM"."Org Str"."Org Str Key" = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."LEAFS_LIST_AND_ALL_ANCESTORS") -> manager can see all aggregates at country level because he have access to country, and OLAP just use country level aggregate
- IsDescendant("MY_BMM"."Org Str" , VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."OFFICE_ID")) will work only for single office as we can not use row wise variables here
One solution I can imagine is to create additional level based dimension that have only 2 levels: "All"->"Org Str Leaf". Then apply filter on this "artifitial" dimension. It is not perfect solution to duplicate dimensions only for security purposes... that's why I ask you for advice if you know better way?

*(5). Add the Data Filters*
In our test case we assigned the data filters to the BIAuthor role, but the filters should be added to whatever role makes the most sense.

*(6). Log in as a Normal User and Query the Hierarchy*
The user can only see to the members to which they are granted access in the ACL table plus all ancestors and descendants of those members.
Drill down to the bottom of the hierarchy.

In the nqquery.log we see that the session variable is expanded into an IN list in the physical SQL query. The BI Server breaks the IN list into two IN lists to avoid the Oracle SQL limit of 1,000 items per IN list.

Hi All,
We are using SRM 6.0 in our project, and the problem is in the approval preview. Once the requester creates a cart and goes for approval, and if is rejected and then it comes to the inbox of the user; at that time in the approval preview the user name is not displayed correctly and we have checked org str and su01 his name is present correctly over there. but in this case in the approval preview along with the name some other thing is getting added.
Correct me if i am wrong, I am sure that BRF has nothing to do this with as the system picks the name from some tables but we have given the name correctly every where. So, do any body has any idea.Solved ... the user is getting picked wrongly from the system as there are multiple users.

I would like to find the employees who transferred from one Org to another. For the employees who transferred, I would like know their Unit along with other OM data valid at that time.
Just FYI...Unit is an Org at level 3 of the Org Str Hierarchy.
Querying on 0Employee gives me simple result set without the Unit information.
Could someone please throw some light on how to design this in BI?

1. Date track to the effective date of the event
2. Query the employee
3. go to the primary assignment (or applicable assignment if you are using multiple assignments)
4. Change the combination of Organization, position, etc.
5. I see no need to change the assignment status. They are still active employees, leave it as is.
6. Don't save as a correction, you will want to retain this history.
Note that a position is a structure subordinate to a Job and Organization. Assuming the new position already exists, selecting it will default the relevant Oganization and Job information on the assignment.
You may need to do some other house keeping such as salary changes, supervisor changes, benefits changes, element entry changes...but a simple assignment change is all that is really needed for a "transfer'.

What is the use of a BP id.
Do we assign more than one Pur. Group to a single user.

Network driver HP officejet K850 pro

I have a Hp Officejet K850 Pro that works perfect when i connected it with usb on my macbook.
Now i connected the printer on a windows network. ( it has a network connection )
I can add the printer but i don't find the correct printer driver.When i choose the officejet K80 gimp driver ( not the correct driver, but worth trying ) de officejet K850 prints correct, but with poor quality. I search the net. I installed the hp drivers i found on HP.com but still i don't see the correct driver appear in my list.Hi,

Stepwise approach for creating Organization Structure in SRM
Hi Experts,
Pls do share how we go ahead about creating Organisation Structure in SRM.
I want to get following things clear:
1.Once all the components like company codes, purchasing org, purchasing grps, users have been created.... How do we start with creating org structure....... which element in org str hierarchy we create first.... n so on...
2. In a organisation structure, we do have diff companies, n company has departments.... and department has users...... I want to know how do Purchasing groups and purchasing org we create get assigned to this.
3. What is the significance of Department attribute?? Is it related to MRP Controller of MM.

Plants is replicated through GET_Location..but where I can see those plants in SRM.Is it under the Org str?

Plants are available in BBP_LOCMAP table. Here you can see the BP no for the corresponding plants. This BP you must define in extended attributes via LOCATION ex.atribute or you can see slg1 log here you get BP no for orrexponding plants.All plants are BPs so you can see the details of them via BP tcode.
Regarding Storage location, you must mapped in ext attribute. It would not create a BP in SRM.

I am using SRM7
The issue is in Ext Attr for Org Str.
I ran the report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL to transfer plants from Backend.
I could maintain the plant in Org str (Ext Attr --> Locations).
However when I select the Storage Location, SRM does not find any Storage Location.
How can transfer SLOC from R3 or am I missing something else?Storage location replication problem
