Organizational Units form the basis of an organizational plan, Organizational units are functional units of a company. Depending on how a company is organized, organizational units can consist of departments, groups or project teams.
There are three different areas basically in SAP CRM Sales, Marketing and Service. An org unit can be assigned to different areas, for example an organization unit can be a sales organization in the Sales Scenario and service org in the service scenario.If your organization wants to be a sales organization, then you need to maintain the same on the Function tab of the org model. All the attributes relevant to the same, can also be maintained in the attributes tab page.

CRMD_BUS2000108 - organizational unit and attributes for org. unit

Hi all!
As I'm customizing Lead creation (and in a second step lead generation)
I would like to receive tips about "selection of organizational unit and attributes for org. unit".
I expected that, by entering a BP number of a prospect or sold-to party, the organizational unit and its attributes would be displayed automatically on the tab "organization".
This is not the case. When I start the lead creation, there is a pop-up screen inviting me to choose the organizational unit. afterwards a pop-up screen for the attributes of the org unit. Only after setting a flag in both pop-ups, I see the actual "lead" transaction. When I enter a BP number, the sales assistant and sales rep are found automatically.
Could anybody please explain how to change the customizing?
I would like to see the lead transaction (create) first, enter a bp number and than have the org unit and its attributes, the sales rep and sales assistant found automatically.
Any usefull answer (would make my day ), will be rewarded.

hi
this is happening because you have not done the org data determination in your transaction,just go to SPRO and there in org data determination ,you have many standard ORGMAN rules available which you can use which will pick the data according to the user ,BPs etc.
it will enable you to first give BP and then the org data will be driven automatically from the system according to the rule in org data determination.
so first go and use rule ,try using rule ORGMAN_12
then attach this rule to the org data profile and then add this org data profile to the transaction in basic settings in transaction where you have defined your lead transaction.
it will solve your purpose

I am in the implementation phase, requirement gathering.
I have scenerio where, Employee works for 4 org units and want to distribute the cost to 4 different cost centers.
so that I can be able to find the exact cost occured for each Org unit.
Please let me know how to map this in SAP?

Infotype 0027 is the standard solution for multiple reporting / multi tasking in SAP.
but also check which org unit he will be primarily assigned.

Managing Org units and Master Data in project structure

How are Org units and Master data managed at the project structure? What would be the appropriate place holders for them in the structure. Should we manage it at the top of the project structure or within the business scenarios/processes. On what basis should we decide this? How would this impact in case of a global template rollout?

i think that ur working in E2E project work
before singoff ur business process u should give to ur users master data templets..they collect for masterdatas in before realization phase...that time u should know how many specifications is there and in spections how many in quantitative and how many qualitative u will indentify. if any query let me back.

Transport of org.units and structure

Hi all
I know there is a possibility to transport org.units and its structure (PPOMA_BBP). There are some settings to do in table T77S0 (key = TRSP.CORR) and 2 reports RHMOVE30 and/or RHMOVE50 to be used depending on the setting done in T77S0.
It is also required to configure ALE distribution model with IDoc type HRMD_A.
My question is: what do I have to include in the filter? What are the relevant info types to be replicated via ALE?
We're on SRM 4.0 with SRM Server 5.0 SP08. We don't have HR module in SAP R/3 in use.

HI Experts
How we can create relationship between Org unit and Task Catalog in Organisation management once we grouped all the tasks in one group.
For Example we have one org unit under that we have 3 depts those will consider as org units only.under 3 depts we have professor,Lecturer,Reader as jobs and positions also.If we create Professor tasks in task catalog which all the tasks will be assigned to positions as well.
If it is Org unit and Task catalog how we can create relationship.

Org Unit and Cost Center not displaying in 0001 with A012 relationship

Hi Guru's,
Kindly help me in this regard ,
Whenever i hire a person to a position which has an A012 relationship (Chief Position) then Org Units and Cost centres are not getting displayed in IT0001 .
But when i hire a person in the same org unit with A003 relationship ; both Org units and Costcentres are getting displayed
I have used an LSMW for uploading relationships and objects and i have also run integration reports for the same but still i am not able to display org unit and cost centre in it0001 when i hire a person with A012 relationship .

within this information there are various reports to run, which help recon OM and PA integration. it will help you find your data problem and then fix the data for you if you follow step by step.

Mismatch between Employee Org Unit and HRP1001

Hi,
I am facing one peculiar issue. The Org Assignment for a person is showing a set of Position, Job and Org Unit. But when I check the HRP1001 table for that position, the OU Relation shown is different.
On prodding, user told me that, they have deleted the relations table completely and renamed Org units and loaded fresh relations (O-O, O-S).
My understanding is: PA0001 will pickup the relationship from HRP1001.
Please correct me if I am wrong and how do I rectify this issue,

Org. unit and associated material groups download from Org. structure

I want to download the material groups and associated material groups(Defined in External attributes) from organisation structure.
Please suggest how to do it.

Hi. There's a point. You said you wanted to download a list so I presumed you wanted all the org units and all the material groups assigned to them.
If you only want to do it 1 org unit at a time the function will work perfectly.
I f you do want to see all I have had another thought actually.
You could run program RHOMATTRIBUTES_REPLACE.
This allows you to replace 1 attribute with another, but if you do not press the "change" button it works as a good report on attributes.
If you just put in attibute PRCAT and then Old Value = Logical System of backend and New Value = Logical system of backend and tick substring then execute, it will show you all the org units and all the material groups.
Just be careful not to press the replace button on the output, that would actually change data.

    We have a requirment where in which we need to get all the employees belongs to a perticular in an
    organization UNIT and its lower level org units.IS tehr any FM to find the same.
   i.e if we input org unit then it should return all the employees belonging to this org unit + its lower level
    org unit(B002 relation ship)

This is wht i understood in org management...
evaluation path is the relation between two entities,
entities may be
job(C)
position(S)
Employee(P)
Org Unit(O)
O - O is line mangaer,
S - O belongs to,
P - S is owner of.
i think if u observe O - O is line manger.. means in with same position
S - O means that position belongs to the Org Unit
P - S means the employee has that Position.
All these type of relations will me maintained in the Infotype 1001 with the raltionships.
All object types will be maintained in the Infotype 1000.

Org unit head of an org unit of an employee

Hi all,
I want to create an abap program where i have the personal number of a person. Now i want to find the org unit of that person, which I will find from PA0001. Now i want to get the position of the manager or the head of that org unit and from that position I want to get the holder of that position ( pernr) and ultimately the name of that person.
Can anyone help me with the CODING of the above problem?
Can anyone provide me a sample code for it.

Refer this Function Module, it wil give u the immediate manager name of a employee number, u can call this in a ABAPProgram after creating it or u can copy this code and paste it in a ABAP program.

Shows all Org Structure in Org Unit Listing in Nakisa Org Chart

Hi,
We are using Org Chart 3.0SP2.
The issue is when we search the Org Units in Org Unit listing it also shows other Org Units from other org structure which does not lie inside our selected Org Structure (already given the root org unit ID in Org chart config)
But i cannot restrict the org unit listing because we cannot find any option to give root org unit ID in org unit listing configuration.
How can we restrict this Org unit listing which should show only the org units below the selected org structure.
Because already several org structure exists in back-end,but we have given one org structure (entered the root id) which we need for org chart.

Hi Sakthi,
The search uses a listing report that pulls all active OrgUnits from HRP1000. This will include objects not within your org structure. The only way to do this is to add a data filter to the search data element that filters out these objects (e.g. filter by a short code or name). Please note that you cannot filter by the key field (ID).
