Org unit Creation

Hi Friends,
When I am trying to create Org Unit or position, System is taking default date as current date. even I am trying to create any new position with previous dates it is delimiting up to last date and again new record is creating from current date.
Where to do modifications.

While you are creating OM at that time you have to give the date.
Other wise its take.....that only.

A weird requirement:
Is there any way to create a totally new Org.Unit in SRM 4.0 programmatically ? For example: enter some sort of data in an excel file, and then upload this info and create a new Org.Unit ?

Hi Experts,
Could u plz let me know whether Org Unit "Start Date "should be "Company Start date " or "Configuration start date".

Many Scenarios may happen in this case....
Scenario 1. Ideally it should be Go Live Start Date.....If you do not maintain Historical Data.
Scenario 2. Where the historical data is required to be maintained, say of three years starting 01.06.2006, Org Unit Start date would be 01.06.2006.
Scenario 3: Where the Org Unit never existed and is to be created NEW, the New Start date would be Org Unit Start Date.
Scenario 4: Where the Org Unit Creation falls between the Historical Data and the Go Live Data, and where Historical Data is required to be maintained, the Date of Org Unit Creation would be the Start Date.

How to Restrict Creation of Infotype Record for Certain Org Units?

Dear All,
Requirement:
Org Unit 1 does not have overtime. Even the employee works overtime, they will not get overtime compensation.
One of the option is to disallow the creation of IT2005's record for all the employees in Org Unit 1.
Is it possible to do this through standard SAP?

Hi,
The best way to control this will be with Authorizations so that people belonging to one Org.unit should not have IT2005 mantainence.

Display Org Unit based on User logon in Business partner creation..

Hi Gurus,.
I have to assign Sales Org , DIV, Distribution Channel to the Business Partner in Sales Area data. When I try system shows entire Org structure. But I want the Org structure should be displayed based on the user log on. Assume that, I am assigned to Shangai and creating Business partner for Shangai, the system should not show Beijing or other Org Unit since I belong to Shangai. How to address this scenario thro standard customization?
Is it common problem in CRM Webui(6.0 and 7.0).
My Org Structure:
Global
China
     Shangai
     Beijing
   Nanjing.

Hi Varma,
From my understanding of your problem, you can approach it in a different manner. Since, you mentioned that you will be receiving a delimited flat file around 5 to 6 times a day, you can probably consider coming up with a Report Program. This Report will consume the flat file, generate the necessary organizations, business partners, BP relationships and then create them and finish with the logging of all the messages ( Success, Error, Warnings, etc.)
You can now schedule this report execution in a Batch Processing Job which will be executed as per the scheduled time and at the end of the day you can see all the application log files.
This is just an approach and you can modify the report in your own way. I guess that the flat file will be located somewhere in the same place daily so that you can hard code the File Name and Path in the report.
Regarding the Organization and Business Partner creation, you can use the standard SAP delivered BAPI's which will return you all the errors properly.

HCM-ORG MANAGMENT Config error, in creation of Org Units.

I am trying to configure the HCM-Organization Management in ECC 6.0, When I try to maintain an Org Unit, the system prompts with an Information Message as stated below, since it was an information message, i continued creating the Org Unit, but when I am trying to save the entry, Now system shows me the same message and doesnt allow me save the entry and prompts me with same message...

Automatic creation of an account for org unit

Hello Experts,
System automatically creates an account for organisational unit with the role organisational unit. But when i am creating a new organization model, the org units are not created as accounts.

Hi Lakshith Rao,
For some reason BP number must not have got generated for your Org. Could be because of some errors.
Go to SPRO-> CRM-> Master Data-> Business Parnter-> Integration Business Partner - Organization Management-> Create Business PArtner Initially.
Select Org. Unit and search and select your org. unit. Click on execute.
If there are no errors in your org. unit then BP number will get generated or else it will mention what data is missing.

There are standard relationship for Rosters (91 ,92 ,93 and 94),
but befor doing all the configuration you have to activate switch for roster
Go to transaction SHDG
Choose the path Application Components-> payroll->India->India public sector.
Click on change Global fields Icon and add the value as u2018Xu2019 for data element u201CPIN_SW_INPSu201D.
Activate the entry

Cost center and Org unit relationship.

Hi Guys,
I need quick help from any one of you.
Actually our org stucture is like Root-> company->plants-> costcenters( deparments)- users.
so we create org unit in the structure with some 100001 and assign users for that cost center org unit , so by doing this costcenter attribute =100001will be inherited from the cost center org unit to all the users under that org unit.
but now there is a requirement for creation 1500 users and we have many such costcenter org units in the structure.
The business will provide the cost center I need to identify the org unit for that cost center in the structure then only I can assign a set of users for that 100001 costcenter. But to do that I have lots of such cost center org units.
So if there is a any table or report available in the system where I can get the details of the description ( meaning Basic data descrition) which we enter while the while creating the org unit and the Org unit number which gets generated when we save.
I would like to search for that relation .Please help me with this information.

HR Data Synchronization (Org Unit, Position and Employee) to SRM

Hi All Expert,
Currently, I had replicate the HR data (Org Unit, Position and Employee) to SRM thru transaction PFAL.
Each time there is a new position or new employee, I have to run PFAL and run manually by include the new position number or new employee into the program to replicate to SRM.
Does SAP have any specifiy program or step which I have follow to allow such automation? Is there any variant that I could set?
How to trigger the new Org units which are created in HR to replicate to SRM without any manual input into selection field of Object ID during running the PFAL?
We are trying to achieve automation of synchronization between changes/new creation in HR to replicate to SRM.

I am creating Org units using PPOM transaction where i can create Many org units at a time. NOw i need to assign positions to these org units? is there any way to mass upload positions and assign to these Org units?
I have arrount 1020 Org Units to create. I created all through PPOM at a time. But to assign positions, i have to navigate to each Org unit to assign a position. Is there an easy way for this? I mean Create an Org unit and create a position at t the same time.
PS: This is for mass creation.

Create one LSMW program. Do the recording through PP02.
Here the values will be:
Plan Version : Whatever u have created or 01
Org Unit Id:
Infotype : 1001 (Relationship)
Subtype: A003/B003 (belongs to/ incorporates)
Start Date
End Date
Planning Status : 1
In the next screen :
Type of Object Type : S ( in ur case)
ID of Object Type
You need to upload data in following fields
1) PLVAR
2) OTYPE
3) SEARK
4) INFTY

Unable to create org unit using RH_INSERT_INFTY

We are using internal number range to create Org Units in the SAP System. However, there are some org objects present in a legacy SAP system that we need to upload to the new ECC system and create relationships for them .
Following is my code for the RH_INSERT_INFTY function module :

Position under Purchasing Org.'s Org Unit

Hi,
SRM :5.5, extended classic scenario
When I look at the SRM Org. structure, I see the Position (S) under Purchasing Org.'s Org Unit ?.
What is the use of creation of Position under Purchasing Org's Org Unit ?
Note:
I did HR Replication in the past. I used to see the Position under the Company Code's org. unit. So that when anyone in the SRM org. structure creates a SC, it follows the hierarchy for the approval.

Hi Pranav,
We should understand that we have role of "Operational purchaser" and Strategic purchaser" within the typical purchasing organization. These are the standard roles supplied by SAP.
If you think of some complex purchasing organization catering to the needs of group of companies then it may have more than 3-4 levels within (May be some additional customized roles). This will decide the approval limits, authorities, powers and roles.
Therefore, positions within the purchasing organization are created to group different roles and functions. Even I have positions in my purchasing org.
Assign points as applicable.
