Org Unit Field in IT 0001

Hi Folks-
The Org Unit field in IT 0001in PA is not capturing the ORG unit stored in OM.Integration is active between OM and PA currently.The Job and position fields are carrying over without any issues.
Used RHINTE30- and the org unit is allready there in Table T527X. What is the solution?

I got the same prob, and resolved with the following. Replied for general help purpose. As this post is from Dec, hopfully u hv already done.
please do the following steps.
**Go to Tcode SA38
1- Run report RHINTE10
program allows you to create object types in Personnel Administration (HR-PA) which have already been set up in Personnel Planning and Development (HR-PD) and which are needed for integration. dont forget to uncheck "Test" check box.
The following object types are relevant to integration:
PD PA
Work center (object type A) Tables T528B, T528T
Job (Object type C) Tables T513, T513S
Position (Object type S) Tables T528B, T528T
Organizational unit (Object type O) Table T527X
2) Run RHINTE20
This program can be used to check whether the relevant object types for integration have been created in both Personnel Administration (HR-PA) and Personnel Planning and Development (HR-PD).
The entries in the HR tables T513/T513S (job), T528B/T528T (position, work center) and T527X (organizational unit) are compared with the corresponding objects that have been created in the HRPnnnn file for PD in the integration plan version.
Objects that are missing either in PA or PD can be created immediately
3- Also check ur org struct in PPOME. Hope ur prob will b ok with 1st two task

Org Unit not defaulting in 0001 after running RHINTE 30

Dear SAP Gurus,
We are facing a problem where in Org Units in Infotype 0001 are not getting defaulted after running the RHINTE reports. We have done the integration between OM <--> PA, however after running the RHINTE reports the org unit is shown as 00000000, could anyone please throw some light on this?

Are you using the department flag functionality? (T77S0 switch PPABT PPABT)
I came across the same issue as you and i found that when department flags were checked for organisational units the Organisational Unit numbers were displayed correctly.
If any positions that report to Organisational units directly or hierarchically have no department flags ticked the Organisational unit number will be displayed as all zeros on the IT0001 record for employees assigned to these positions.

RHINTE00 - Position and org unit deleted in infotype 0001 not transferred

Hi all,
we are using report RHINTE00 to transfer the assignations with positions and org units made in infotype 1 to PPOME.
Everything works fine when we are assigning a position and org unit.
But when we remove the entry and run the report, the assignation in the PPOME still exists..
Do I have to do something special to delete the relationships ?

Hello,
If you have terminated some employees, to remove relationship without existing objects, you have to use report. RHCHECKRELATIONS. Then if you just need to delimit them, make sure that org. unit exists in table T527X and rerun report RHINTE00. Hope it helps,

Org Unit determination

Hi,
While creating sales transactions from the web shop, the org unit does not get determined in the back end CRM intermittently. The Sales Org, Sales Office, Sales Group, Division and distribution Channel are all determined correctly, but the Org Unit remains blank for some transactions. We are using custom sales transaction types and the problem is occurring for all of them. The Org Unit determination is completely standard however. No custom enhancement has been done to it. As the Org unit is missing at the header, it remains blank for all line items for these transactions as well.
In a slightly differnt scenario, the Org Unit field also gets populated at the back end, but becomes blank on editing the transaction from the web shop. This change is also copied to the line items of that particular transaction.
The Ecommerce web shop talks to the CRM application as its backend. CRM is also connected to ECC in our case. We are on SAP CRM 6.0 version, with SP 6. SAP_AP version 7.0 with SP 16.
We are unable to wilfully replicate the problem as well. Any pointers towards the root cause of the problem or a solution will be very helpful.

Best praxis for determining a cost center for an HR org unit in PPM ?

Hello all.
We have defined the HR Org structure directly in PPM backend. Later the intention is that an interface should transfer this data from HR.
The HR orgstructure defined works fine for the staffing process (with "resource manager via responsible organization").
We have however run into some problems with the MLC & costing part. The intention is to use manual MLC linking tasks/phases to PS WBS-elements (task based controlling).
If we leave the org unit field blank in the cProject project project definition we run into the message "No account assignment exists for the project defintion - no costing" and the systems rolls back from the assignment made.
If we however assign an orgunit in the project defintion we instead get the message "No cost center could be determined for org unit 123...".
<u>We therefore need to be able to determine a cost center for the Org Unit assigned to be able to proceed. How is this then best done?</u>
There is a master cost center assigned to the orgunit in HR but not in PPM backend where this option does not seem to be available.
With task based controlling the cost center does not really matter so it could possibly be hardcoded via a BADI (?) but is this really the way this should be done?
Any suggestions?

Hi and thanks for the reply.
We will test with an ALE replicated structure so that the object ID becomes the same in the two systems as soon as possible.
Pending that we will try the BADI option. Here I am however not sure what it is we really expect the BADI to do. Which field should be populated with the cost center (the fields available are mainly project characteristics)?
I also eventually found some information regarding this in the PPM 4.0 help. I enclose info regarding this below.

b) choose Collaboration projects>Accounting Integration>General Information about Accounting integration>Derivation of Organizational data.
As I read this the system derives this as follows in case of task-based or role-based costing with no resource assignment:
1) Look for the two BADIs mentioned to derive the cost center
2) If no result there it looks for an org unit in the cProject header (where I assume having the Org Unit with the same Object ID in backend and ERP enables this option)
3) If no result there the system looks for a "requesting cost center" in the account assignment object (WBS element or internal order)

Org unit not reflecting in Infotype 0001

Hi,
While hiring a new employee, the"Organizational Unit" is not getting reflected in Organisational Assignment IT 0001.
This "Orgn Unit" field is showing the default value as "Zero"
Please can anyone tell me what could be the reason & how to rectify it?

Check the relationship assignment of a position to Org. Unit as said by Mr. Pemma sani and assign that position to a person.
It brings automatically...in that field.

Separation Action: Infotype 0001, Org Unit not blank

Hi All,
Can you tell me what has to be done for IT 0001 during Separation action?
IT0001 is in copy mode in V_T588D for separation . The thing is, when i am trying to separate the employee, the position is defaulted to 99999999 but Org Unit and Job do not change, Which is ideally incorrect, the should be blank as position is linked to O and C.
Can you help me resolve the issue?

when you are hiring a person you are assigning a position then O and C are defaulted with that.
if a person is getting separated then changing the position to default position is correct.
there is no point in delimiting the O and C for the person at separation action.
we dont have any default O and C as Position(99999999), with this pointer you can understand.

ALE: Org unit name not in first field

Hi All,
We are maintaining our CRM org structure from R/3 and are getting close to implementing our system and have come accross a problem.
When the BP is created (in CRM) for the Org units it puts the code of the org unit in the first line of the 'Name' field and then the description on the second line..
The problem with this is when you select the BP through the Web IC it just displays the code, which is no good to the call centre staff as it is (to them) meaningless.
I have been through our config and can't find where this information is mapped to the BP.
Any help greatly appreciated and points rewarded as always..

Hi All,
The only way this seems to be possible is to ammend the data through a BADI...
I have implemented the PARTNER_UPDATE BADI and done a call to 'BUPA_GENERAL_CALLBACK' to get the information I need and then 'BUP_MEMORY_BUT000_FILL' to update the information.
The problem is that this information isn't being populated back to the BP itself (no changed from the BADI code).
You cannot do a COMMIT WORK as it causes an error..
Is there another FM that will save the changed values ???

Change Org Unit in 0001 Infotype

Ple guide me how to change the Org Unit in Infotype 0001.
The scenario is we have not assigned Org Unit to some employees while uploading. Now we have to change the Org Unit in 0001 for some 50 employees.
What is the procedure to be followed?

Hi Venu,
If you had already uploaded the Position for 50 employees in IT 0001 than just maintained the Position to Org unit relationship and org unit will appear in IT 0001.
if you had uploaded the master data with Default position, than you need to create position or assign the existing position with the person and create the relationship with the org unit
you may use TC PPOME, PP03 OR PP01

Org Unit and Cost Center not displaying in 0001 with A012 relationship

Kindly help me in this regard ,
Whenever i hire a person to a position which has an A012 relationship (Chief Position) then Org Units and Cost centres are not getting displayed in IT0001 .
But when i hire a person in the same org unit with A003 relationship ; both Org units and Costcentres are getting displayed
I have used an LSMW for uploading relationships and objects and i have also run integration reports for the same but still i am not able to display org unit and cost centre in it0001 when i hire a person with A012 relationship .

Terminate or Retire Action - Default 00000000 job and org unit

As of now, our system is set up that if there is a termination or retire action, 99999999 is defaulted into the position. The org unit and job ids are left as is.
II noticed when running program RHINTE30 that the program proposed changing all org unit and job ids to 00000000 on IT0001 that corresponded to an infotype 0001 record that has a 99999999 position id due to a termination or retire action.
So, is standard SAP set-up to to have 0000000 in the job and org unit id field on infotype 0001 when the person is no longer in a position (position = 99999999)? Is that what is best practice? If so, why? The concern about changing the org unit and job id to 00000000 for a terminated or retired employee has to do with if we are using the 9999/12/31 end date on infotype 0001 to look up an employee's most recent job or org unit information even if the employee has terminated or retired. How would we do this if the job and org unit ids are 00000000s?

Have u run the RHINTE programmes properly ?
are u able to save the record?
As some times it may be display probolem, if u r able to save the record then check the relationship in pp10/po13.
and U have not answered what Mr. Valeri is asking about your Implementation/support because these type we come accress if data is not uploaded properly.

Impact of changing positions and Org Unit short text

Hi All..
This is regarding the impact of changing positions and Org Unit short text(SAP name - Object Abbreviation, technical field u2013 hrp1000-short).The new approach we are ging to have is to keep short text same across the business unit.
Example:
All position in US will have short text u2013 USS
Similarly All US Org Unit short text will be COMUS
I was wondering, from SAP best practices point of view, do you see any downside in this approach?
Example: Any problem in searching position or org using search term.

Hi,
Normally such change will not have any impact in PA module.
Only in exceptional cases it will have an impact in following cases:
1. First and mandatory condition that you use abbreviation as position name in IT 0001. If this is the case parameter PLOGI TEXTC (in table T77S0) should be equal X.
2. Second condition is that parameter PLOGI SPLIT is equal to X. That means that change of object name will lead to record split in IT 0001 in PA.
So if in table T77S0 you don't have setting PLOGI TEXTC = X and PLOGI SPLIT = X you can go ahead with change of positions abbreviations. It will have no impact on other modules.

Org unit date in adhoc query

I have created a TEM query in SQ02, based on infoset \SAPQUERY\HR_TEM_E (logical database PCH), in which I am outputting object name and date (P1000), and org unit (P8004).
The output on the org unit name corresponds to the most current version of the org unit, but my requirement is for it to match to the date that the course object exists, i.e. historical.
Would anyone know a way to code this field, or whether there is a functional solution to this?
Please do let me know.

How to find out the main org units in the system

I want to find out the all main org units in the system. It means that i have to know all the parent org units not the sub org units.

Hi,
As I understood about your query, go to PA30, select the position field, select the structure search tab, go to find(Ctrl+F), select the object type S-position, give the position no, then it will give position place and root org, unit of the position and it will expand the structure.

How to extract Org.unit Hierarches in BI 7.0

I am developing HCM BI reports, right now I am into Org management and Personnel Administration,
I am new to HCM.

queries:
1) how to create hierarchies of Org. units in BI 7.0 give me steps.
2) I am not able to load data into standard info cubes(0PA_C01 and 0PAOS_C01).
Any procedure I have to fallow for these cubes to load data.

   U just have to load hierarchies created in ECC... The standard datasource that loads 0ORGUNIT
   hierarchy is 0ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER... Assign this datasource to 0ORGUNIT (transfer rules) and
   create infopackage (in 'Hierarchy selection' tab, if u click 'available Hierarchies from OLTP' button, it
   will give u all available hierarchies (technical name ORGEH) for 0ORGUNIT)
   To check existing orgunits in ECC
      Use tcode PPOSE
      Expand 'Organizational Unit' Node
      Click on 'Structure Search'
2) I am not able to load data into standard info cubes(0PA_C01 and 0PAOS_C01).
      These infocubes has many fields like Gender,Nationality,Language,Age in Years,Country
      key,County Code,Region (State, Province, County),Postal Code etc..
      All these fields are populated through routines (reads master data of 0EMPLOYEE) and a start
      routine.
      So, u have to be careful when u install standard content, make sure u install routines for above
      objects mapping in transfer rules. Also make sure the "Start Routine" installed properly
      In ECC, also check data exists in infotypes PA0000 & PA0302 (for 0PA_C01) and HRP1000,
      HRP1001, HRP1007 & PA0007 (0PAOS_C01)
