Transport org. unit & position to another system

Hi,
I modified some org. units and positions in development and system did not ask for a transport request. How can I move my objects into test system ??

With tcode RE_RHMOVE30 you can create a request and transport them.
All you have to do is to choose the plan version, object types, objects. If you want all relations to be transported you can write A* in field evaluation path but if you want you can transport specific relations.
Select transport objects box.
In field task you can press f4 and then you can create a new request for the transport. After this press F8.
There will be a new screen. In this screen select the objects to be transported and then press F8.
After that you will release the request and transport it to the other system via using se09 and stms.

Cost Center Inheritance from Org Unit

Good day all,
Can someone please advise regarding cost center inheritance from org units?
I understand the inheritance concept, however simple need to know if the CCenter is added to the org unit via A011 relationship, does the system physically create a A011 relationship on the position inhertiting the cost center from the org or does the system simply pick up the realtionship from the org unit relationsip for use in IT0001 field KOSTL (cost center)?

As we know cost centre(K) is an unusual object in OM.Two type of objects internal whose master record are in database table beloging to sap erp hcm and eexternal object whose master data belong to other application areas.Cost centre is an external object that is used to represent origin of costs.Inheritance concept is on the basis of whoch cost centre are assigned in org plan.
directly related cost centre is called master cost centre and they are made via A011 cost centre assignment relationsip.they can be made at org unit,position or work centre and nornmally its org unit that common.Org unit at the top are asisgned the cost centre as a best practise so that all the org units below or reporting will inherit the same.
Similarly multiple cost centre assignments can also e made through 1018 infotype(cost centre distribution).Inheritance also applied to them aswell.

The bp id for org unit does not exist

Dear expert,
after transport the org structure from dev to qty system , we found the bp id for org unit does not exist in qty system.
in ppoma_crm, we can see there is a bp id assigned to the org unit. however, when use tcode 'bp' to check the bp id, the system can not fould a valid id.
what can we do to solve the issue?
will there any impact if we keep no bp id for the org unit?

Hi,
You can use the transaction CRM_OM_BP_INTEGRATE.
Select the Org unit and enter the org id in the input field and execute it.
Select the org unit from the result list and click on the button Start Repair. This will create a BP without errors for the respective org unit.

How to find out the main org units in the system

I want to find out the all main org units in the system. It means that i have to know all the parent org units not the sub org units.

Hi,
As I understood about your query, go to PA30, select the position field, select the structure search tab, go to find(Ctrl+F), select the object type S-position, give the position no, then it will give position place and root org, unit of the position and it will expand the structure.

Org. Unit & Job Code not diplayed in IT0001

Dear Consultants
I have a problem which is the Org. unit and job codes are not displayed in IT0001 although I did the following:
-     Integration between PA and OM in T. Code OOPS was set in PLOGI ORGA first.
-     Structure was created using PPOCE and PPOME then we hire employees through PA40 through LSMW.
-     The employee hire date and the date of creating O,S, and C is the same.
-     The data of Company code Personnel area and sub area was recorded in account assignment tab in Organization and Staffing when creating the structure and positions.
-      After loading the Employee data I run the report RHINTE00 and the employees displayed in PPOME.
-     Then I run report RHINTECHECK and there are no issues.
-     Then when I see that Org. Unite code and Job Code are not displayed in IT0001 I report RHINTE30 but he said (Personnel numbers for which an update is not necessary) and still Org. unit and job code is not there in IT0001.
Is there anything else I can do to solve that problem?

How to enter customised Org Units in R/3 system

Dear Members,
Can we have our own Org Units in R/3 apart from the standard ones that are supplied by the SAP?
If so how can we maintain in R/3 systems, when we tried to enter to have own values for
WERKS for MM01 transaction via M_MATE_WRK object from SU22/SU24 transactions.
The system is throwing that we cannot enter maintain Org Unit it manually,
Could you please provide us the information and it would be highly appreciated,

Yes. You can convert a field into Org Unit using PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE. However, if you are converting an existing field, you should adjust the existing roles manually.

You can't maintain the values in SU22/Su24. They should be maintained individually at the role level.

Yes. This is the behavior.
As mentioned, the org.values should be maintained at the individual roles.

Position to inherit company code and cost centre from Org Unit

Hi Team,
I have entered the company code and controlling area in my root Org. Unit. All the sub-ordinate org units that I've created have inherited this company code and controlling area, however none of the positions I've created have inherited them. What do I have to do to get my positions to inherit this information from their org unit.

Check table T7SS0, there are three switches
PPOM     INHIC     X     'X': PPOM: Obligatory Inheritance of Company Code
PPOM      INHIH     X     'X': PPOM: Obligatory Inheritance of Contr. Area
PPOM     INHS     X     Inheritance of acc. ***. features by positions
So just check these switches that they are set in this table, and I hope your problem should resolve

Creating countries - Move Org unit its positions to another country code

Hi Gurus,
The client used a single production server for all the countries under its one country grouping(10) for different countries (US, Malaysia, Sinagapore, China, India, UK).
We have only one country code for all the OM.
One Organizational unit needs to move to another country(39), of which all positions, jobs, and the employees assigned to it also needs to move with the Org unit to new country. We are going to change the PA PSAs as well to new country groupings
Is it possible, and if possible how to do it?

Hi Kumar,
As already stated by you change the PA and PSA's accordingly as per the new country groupings as PA's should be assigned to company code within the same country grouping.
In my knowledge I dont think you need to change anything with the Org Unit as OM objects don't refer to any country groupings as such. If you are using the account assignment infotype ( IT 1008) then you will have to change the Company code to your new company code as your new company code will have different country grouping ( 39).
Your FI CO objects like Cost centers can be changed to new cost centers as per your requirement from the date you move your Org Units or Positions to new country groupings.
We can also wait for other expert comments.

Function that return Company Code given an Org Unit ID

As per subject, is there any such function?
I seem unable to find. Straightforward way is just select bukrs from hrp1008 using the Org Unit OBJID. However, that table only stores direct assignment. I.e. many Org Unit actually have the company code inherited from parent OU. So if my OU doesn't have account assignment, must go to its parent OU to find, if parent OU doesn't have, again must go up and search. And so on..
If there's already such function, I don't want to re-invent the wheel.

I know it's an old topic, but the answer could be helpful for others:
use RH_STRUC_GET as suggested, standard WEGID OMACC_U will return the objects maintained in 1008 (including BUKRS, WERKS, BTRTL).

Location code on org.units

Hi group,
One of our clients need to register a code for location on their org.units. 14 characters, alphanumeric. Table of values to exsist behind the field. Can you suggest any fields or infotypes we could use for this without making our own? I checked into HRP1002, but we need more control than this gives us.
Any hints appreciated.

There is one attributes infotype 1222 but itu2019s a bit complex to work with. I have never used it but it is worth exploring. There is no IMG path for customization but you can access the table through transaction OOATTRCUST.
I think you can define a range of values, default values and so on. Not sure, how the users will perceive this. The last resort is obviously a custom infotype.

Assignment of org units from feeder system to Legal units

Hi All,
in GTS system , IMG, assignment of legal units having two options are available.
1,Assign plant at feeder system level/ feeder system group level
2, Assign combination of plant and storage location at feeder system level/ feeder system group level
as assigning the org units we need to assign the option 1 and option 2 or do we need to assign the any one from the above two options.
can you please give some inputs which is the best assignment.

In SAP GTS, a Feeder system plant or a plant and Storage location combination can either be assigned to a GTS Legal Unit.
In this case, you can either assign a single plant ( or Plants) to a Legal Unit to complete the Organisational Mapping or you can also assign a combination of plant and Storage location ( of a group of plant and respective storage locations) to a GTS Legal Unit if storage location is of further significance while interacting with the SAP GTS System,

Org Unit Code

Hi,
I am using FM CRM_ORGMAN_ORGOBJECTS_FIND_3 to return the orgunit for a user. This returns the OBJID of the orgunit, but what I really need is the code of the actual orgunit. Is there another function module available that might do this for me (possibly using the OBJID)?

Hi Bernard,
You can directly fetch it from table HRP1000, pass the objid you get from the FM CRM_ORGMAN_ORGOBJECTS_FIND_3 to HRP1000, the field SHORT gives you the code of the org unit.

Yes, i just came to know about that. I clicked on account assignment features button in PPOS_OLD and specified pers area, pers sub area and company code and found that an entry was created in HRP1008 for the company code with org unit.
