Org Unit to Cost center relationship issue

Hi All,
When I assign a Cost center to an Org Unit, i dont have any issues and got created. But when I assign the same Cost center to a different Org Unit, it delimits the previous Org relationship and creates the new one.
I checked the Relationship A011 time constraint and it is 2 which is with gaps.
This is strange and should not work in this way.

    You need to Join two tables PA0001 and T527x as a data source in your query. Give the org units as a input parameter for this query.
    Another way is to check the IMG settings where the functionals have mapped org units and cost center. Since I am an ABAPer so I dont know how they do it.

    Kindly help me in this regard ,
    Whenever i hire a person to a position which has an A012 relationship (Chief Position) then Org Units and Cost centres are not getting displayed in IT0001 .
    But when i hire a person in the same org unit with A003 relationship ; both Org units and Costcentres are getting displayed
    I have used an LSMW for uploading relationships and objects and i have also run integration reports for the same but still i am not able to display org unit and cost centre in it0001 when i hire a person with A012 relationship .

  • Cost center relationship with department

    Hi experts,
    I have one question to ask about cost center relationship.Let say one department use only one cost-center. Is it I have to key-in the relationship between department and cost-center only or I have to key -in all the position in that department with the cost-center.If I don't keyin the relationship between position and cost center, how about the report. It will automatically appear or not.

    Please assign the Org Unit to a Cost Center using A011 Relationship through IT1001.
    Secondly, the principle of Inheritance works here.....i.e.
    IF you have assigned a O-K relationship at the Org Unit Level, all the reporting Org Units & Positions will inherit the Same Parent Cost Center........except in cases where the O-K / S-K Relationship is changed for any other org Units...or Positions... in such cases, the reporting org units or positions will inherit that.....
    Cost center assignments are inherited along the organizational structure.

    Check the table T77S0
    When you create relationships between cost centers and positions or
    organizational units in Organizational Management, the system requires
    that the cost center is assigned to a controlling area, as a cost center
    must always be assigned to a particular controlling area. In this case,
    the value of this entry will be used as the default for the controlling
    area.

  • Is there any config for plant-cost center relationship

    looks like our new cost center is not defaulting on the PO accounting document. Is there someplace I should have set-up a plant/cost center relationship?

    Hi Satya,
    You cannot directly assign a Cost Center to a Plant. But indirectly yes. A Cost Center is assigned to a Profit Center, a Profit Center is assigned to Material Master and the Material Master to a Plant.

    Org Unit - ORGEH  Check Table -T527X
    Cost Centre - KOSTL  Check Table - CSKS
    For an employee they are maintain in PA0001.
    For an organization in  Table - HRP1000
    OTYPE = O for organization
    OTYPE = A for Cost Centre.
    Relation ship betwen them is store in Table HRP1001.

    Hi all,
    I'm having problems with activating the cost center field too. I've already checked OMBW and OMJJ. For OMJJ, cost center field was required. For OMBW, Cost Center field was Supressed. However, when I checked the Change Logs, no changes were performed since last year. The user who raised this issue had the cost center field activated until December 1, 2008 but now it's deactiavted. So I don't think it's OMBW responsible for this since there was no change since last year.
    Please share your knowledge on this.

  • Changing Company Org. Unit Cost Center Relationship

    I need to know the best method for changing an assignment of Personnel Area to the Company without impacting the OM structure and historical data.  We are moving a Personnel Area to another Company.  I'm unable to change Cost Centers on the Org. Units or reassign the Org Units to the company because their are still individuals on the PA side that have infotype 0001's that are linked.  I would like to change the Company to PA relationship on the Enterprise Structure/Change the Account assigments to reflect the new Company relationship to the existing Org Unit, change the Cost Center assignment and regenerate the Infotype 0001.  However, I'm getting error messages that tell me that I can't do this.  Is there a sequence here that needs to be run.

  • How to find cost centers for a org unit ( if kost center is inherited)

    Hi all
    We have a org structure
    When a parent org unit is assigned a kost center then the parent also inherites the kost center
    I need to find kost center for all the org unit in my organization
    I cant see the inherited cost center neither in IT 1001 nor 1008 nor 1015 but i can see it in PPOME in the account assignment tab.
    How can i find the inherited cost centers to all the org units.
    i think i am clear with my requirement to all

    Use the report RHSTRU00 in tcode SE38
    and give the follwoing values in selection screen
    Plan version                    01  Current plan
    Object type                     O   Organizational unit
    Evaluation Path               A011       All relationships to A011 -> cost
    execute the report to see all the orgunits with their cost centers

    SAP_PD is allowing to deal only with O, S and C object. How we can create new relationship to  Cost Center (K)  using SAP_PD.

    You can 'start' an SAP_PD service with an Position, Job, or Org Unit. But you can update ANY relationship to that object (even cost center). Play around with it a bit and I'm sure you'll stumble up on the solution.

  • Cost center relationship in PCH logical database

    Hi Experts .
    According to what I knew theoretically ,
    External objects such as cost centers or users do not store data in the PCH logical database .
    But I created a position and Idid a cost assignment using relationship A11 to a cost center and went to SE36 and ran PCH for the selection of current plan version and object type K and object id of the cost center .
    After running for the evaluation path KOSTDIUP ( Account assignment usage ) , I could see the relationship of cost center with the earlier created position .
    So if relationships of cost center are not supposed to be in PCH logical database , then how come I can see the above result ?

    This logical database generally enables you to report on all HR infotypes. However, you are advised not to use this logical database unless you want to report on Personnel Planning data.
    The Organizational Management uses the PCH logical database
    so S-Position is an object in OM, you can see the relationship.

  • Report pianter report issue (Cost center Heirarcy issue)

    Hi,
    Please consider this issue as an emergency and reply,
    when I execute a report painter report for highest cost center heirarchy, all cost centers are appearing at level 2, (cost center group level) in the report, but when I execute the same report for each sub group of the heirarcy, cost cetner are coming at level 1 (cost center level) in the report.
    where as the same heirarcy is copied to test system and run at highest hierarchy level, to produce the same error, but it is not occuring in test system it is happening only in produciton system.
    can you please advice me which is causing the problem to the report.

    I am sorry, I am correcting the statment above, it is not all cost center that come at cost center group level when I execute the report at highest  heirarchy, only few cost centers of the cost center goups, if I execute the report at scuh sub group level, cost centers come at cost center level. Please advise.

  • Cost Center authorization - issue

    Hi All,
                The Cost Center and Areas (0CO_OM_CCA_USER_1) datasource load is getting failed with error message as ''Error occurred in the data selection ".
    The data selection is Hierarchy name and it is blank; so no issues with that.
    When I run the datasource extractor checker in ECC, It ends with a ABAP dump. The Dump displays "Missing Cost Center", this extractor runs by a FM.
    I am not sure where the issue persist? I feel the issue with the data.
    This daily full load was success till last month, but due to some unknown reasons the load is getting failed everyday. When I check the records in ODS, I could see a record with User as "D_E_L_E_T_E" and the Cost center, Co area and other fields are blank.  I am not sure, whether it is meaningful data or not?
    If it a meaningful data, what does it mean?
    Can anyone let me know, how to dig down and confirm its an issue with the Data?

    Okay, I misread the "NE". Sorry.
    Have you done a syntax check on it?
    Also compare to:
    AUTHORITY-CHECK <object>
    ID 'KOSTL' '*'.
    I cannot confess to ever have done a "full" AUTHORITY-CHECK myself, but it is most likely the same as with DUMMY ->  you should not use the FIELD statement as '' value if the data element does not know what a '' is...

    It seems OM and PA are not integrated, are they?
    RHINTE20  is the report can bring data from OM to PA.
