Org. value sync job in ERM

Hello experts,
Scenario: Our backend system consist HR component, but we do not use it and therefore do not want to implement the HR RTA
So my question is, Is it possible to skip the HR contents for the org. value sync job in ERM? As we encounter error when running the report, and if possible, we would like to skip the HR contents which is not neccessary for our environment.
Appreciate any feedback for this, thank you in advance.

Hello Wei,
If your system has SAP_HR component installed then you must install the VIRSAHR component for GRC as well. Reason being that there are some function modules which are there specifically for system with SAP HR component installed. If SAP HR is there then GRC applications will use the functions available in VIRSAHR component for activities. If you do not install them then this can lead to problems. You can refer to SAP Note 1086823 which confirms this.
Regarding the ORG value sync job, you can customize it to not to pick any specific type of data. It will pick all the ORG value related data in your system.

Role Expert: Org values Missing

Hi,
I ran the 3 Backgrnd jobs in sequential way: Org Value/Transaction/Activity Sync jobs and jobs were completed with no errors. I checked the log files and i see no major errors as well.
But after completing the jobs, i tried creating a role and assign the org values to the role. But i dont see the org values under each org levels such as Company Code, Sales org etc..
Did I miss any config steps here?

Even we faced this issue and was resolved by running the three BG jobs again but in a sequence as follows:
1. Transaction Sync.
2. Object Sync.
3. Activity Sync.
Please try this and lemme know if you still face an issue with the same.

RFC error while running sync job in AC 10

I have done all the configuration to add new SAP system via SPRO in GRC 10. Now I am trying to run the sync job for the first time, I am getting the below mssage. I checked the RFC desitinations, it looks fine.

I checked in SLG1 also, its displaying the same errors as listed above. I have some systems added earlier which are correctly configured and working fine. I tried to match the configuration with the new systems, and everything looks fine. Not sure why this error is coming.

It seems to be a problem with the add-on in the back-en system, and a function module couldn't be found. Check the RFC connection (refer here for example GRC AC10 sync job error ) and make sure the add-on is properly installed.A simple check could be go to the back-end system, tx SE37 and check if the function modules exist.

Org. Unit & Job Code not diplayed in IT0001

Dear Consultants
I have a problem which is the Org. unit and job codes are not displayed in IT0001 although I did the following:
-     Integration between PA and OM in T. Code OOPS was set in PLOGI ORGA first.
-     Structure was created using PPOCE and PPOME then we hire employees through PA40 through LSMW.
-     The employee hire date and the date of creating O,S, and C is the same.
-     The data of Company code Personnel area and sub area was recorded in account assignment tab in Organization and Staffing when creating the structure and positions.
-      After loading the Employee data I run the report RHINTE00 and the employees displayed in PPOME.
-     Then I run report RHINTECHECK and there are no issues.
-     Then when I see that Org. Unite code and Job Code are not displayed in IT0001 I report RHINTE30 but he said (Personnel numbers for which an update is not necessary) and still Org. unit and job code is not there in IT0001.
Is there anything else I can do to solve that problem?

I'm currently configuring my GRC 10.1 Access Control, I have just finished my common configuration tasks and ran the initial Authorization full sync job.
and am facing the below error message.

I have double checked my connector settings and connection setting, everything seems fine. I checked the tables GRACCONNSTAT and GRFNCONNSCNLK, the tables are populated correctly. I checked to see the RFC ID passes the authorization test and connection test and the logical systems are populated in BD54, can anyone please tell what I'm missing here and why i'm facing this error message?

assigned the profile SAP_ALL.

Issue with Authorization sync job in GRC 10.1

I am facing below issue while running the authorization sync job in 10.1 after importing the configuration data as part of migration from 5.3 to 10.1.
we have GRC server and plugin system on the same SP level 04.
Error:

Thr RFC connection is working fine and the connector settings are done in GRC. Also the RFC user has SAP_ALL.

I have a similar error for which I have put up a separate post, your input would be highly valuable.
My RFC connection works via the test in SM59 but when executing GRAC_AUTH_SYNC I get a simiar error to your above.
Please let me know what steps you took.

Vendor Sync Job

If 2 vendors have same address in ECC, will both the vendors get tranferred from ECC to SRM using vendor sync job -BBP_VENDOR_SYNC. I know in BBPGETVD there is an option to deselect address comparison to avoid duplicates - not sure though about vendor sync program - BBP_VENDOR_SYNC. Can anyone confirm based on their experience . What I know is this, that you should definitely use BBPGETVD for new vendor transfers and it does compare the addresss of the vendors on the selection screen if the box is not checked. You will get a replication error in this case as I recall (SLG1). And I have had dialogue with SAP regarding changing the address of a vendor and it not being picked up by BBP_VENDOR_SYNC. Apparently according to them, in this case no checking of addresses occurs since the possibilities in terms of total address volume could be horrendous in terms of performance.

ORG values for parameters not set in configuration

Hi All,
We are creating parent / child roles for FICO & MM for a project. The business requirement / configuration is such that the org values are available only for Company code and Purchasing organization. What is the appropriate way to set this up in the child roles? For e.g. should we put in * for plant , purchasing group etc or leave it BLANK

FI relies on company codes (mainly) and MM relies on plant, Porg etc (again - mainly) but, without all the other objects being filled in your roles won't work.
It depends on your client's needs I suppose but it does sound a little open to me but each set up has their own design requirements, you'll have to put * in the rest of the very many org levels (and cost centres, release strategies, etc - too many to mention at org/object) if you aren't given the information either due to lack of knowledge by the functional guys (not likely, hopefully) or a top down 'do what I say approach'.
I'd get the spec in an email from somebody responsible for the implementation from the business and save it for the auditors...

Sync job failed - Set up LMDB

Hello SAP gurus,
we're performing the initial configuration of the SOLMAN 7.1 for Enterprise Linux 5 and Oracle 11G.
After setting up the LMDB, the synch batch (SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001) executed every 10 minutes fails, and the message prompted in the log does not seem very helpful, neither have I find anything in the web:
Sync job failed with error: Source and target model vers. are lower than the r ***
Any idea? Could it be the server object name? I haven't requested any in http://service.sap.com/namespaces but use one I defined. Is that really necessary? My user does not have permits to launch that request.

Check the SLD version and SLD content version.

Wildcard character in Org value

I have a requirement wherein ,I have to provide access to all cost centers with pattern 200ABUS,200CDUS,200XYUS,etc.
I want to use 4th and 5th character as wildcard,but neither + nor ? works.I have tried 200++US and 200??US,but system didn't recognize these as wildcard character.
System is currently on SAPKB70106 support pack for SAP Basis Component.
Is it possible to use single wildcard character in org value?

In R3 role design , "filling character" for org level required
The quick answer is that you cannot achieve what you want.

Promoting org values in development system

Authorization field can be changed to Organization field using PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE by using SE38 or SA38 transaction.   Please use TEST MODE before executing into real mode.
u2022     Organizational level fields should only be created before you start setting up your system. If you create organizational level fields later, you might have to do an impact analysis. The authentication data may have to be post processed in roles.
u2022     The fields "Activity", "ACTVT" and "Transaction code", "TCD" cannot be converted into an organizational level field.
In addition, all affected roles are analyzed and the authorization data is adjusted. The values of the authorization field which is now to become the organizational level field are removed and entered into the organizational level data of the role.

GRC AC10 sync job error

Hi Experts,
I am getting error while running sync job. I searched but couldn't find a solution.
We have two GRC AC10 clients setup, one is for fresh AC10 installation testing and another is for migration testing.
Both clients talk to two different ECC clients. Issue is that we have setup all SPRO configurations, plug-in settings and stuff which is described in AC10 post -installation and migration documents,
Sync job for one client is successful, but sync job for another client is giving error -
Error message -

Error in IE9_600; Reason Error in RFC; 'Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_AUTH_G

I have checked plugin settings, RFC and other settings, it seems ok as it is in another client.
What could be the cause and solution? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

CRM security - is look up table possible for Sales org value

I have a requirement in CRM role where the sales organization value has to taken from a table. Since this value is different between development, Quality and production.
Please advice if I can set the field to all the three values or is there way make the field value in role point to a table where the sales organization value will be maintained.

If you have tried all standard options and still insist that table is the method you want to follow:
creating a custom authority object, custom field name with the option to have one of the three values from the table under the field name is possible (ABAP DEVELOPER should work with you on this ).

The FM "BBP_OM_DETERMINE_RESP_PGRP" gives you all the details for a Purchasing group i.e.the Purchasing Org to which it belongs to...You just need to pass the Purchasing Group details in IS_OBJECT..eg. O 50000077,then in ES_PURCH_DATA,You get the Pur ORG details.
