Are there any .mkv files in your organizer catalog. The module which is crashing is possibly trying to analyze those files. Please turn off Media Analysis in Edit >> Pref >> Media analysis in Organizer and see if the issue happens.

Bonjour le forum. Je suis nouveau membre. Voici mon problème:
J'utilise Photoshop Elements 10 sur PC Windows Vista. Quand je veux partager des photos par la fonction Message Photo, l'Organiseur cesse de fonctionner (message puis fermeture). Ceci se produit après la saisie d'un sous-domaine (ex voyage) dans la fenêtre "Assistant papeterie et disposition", donc après la sélection des photos et le choix du destinataire. Ceci se produit aussi bien si je choisis l'email adobe service ou windows mail.
A noter que je peux envoyer des photos avec la fonction pièces jointes sans problème avec windows vista.
A noter également que je peux envoyer des messages photos sans problème avec window xp.

Avec mon ordinateur SONY VAIO et Windows S7 j'utilise l'Organiseur de Photoshop Element 11. Mon catalogue principal contient 13000 photos, un autre 1500. ... Quand j'emplois la "fonction recherche avancée" et consulte la colonne "Lieux" des photos sont déterminée en donnant le positionnement du lieu ou a été prise la photo en donnant : l'état (exemple "France" ), la ville (exemple "Paris"), la rue (exemple Champs-Elysées) et le numéros dans la rue. Dans mon cas beaucoup de photos ne sont pas toutes répertoriées. Déjà dans le catalogue de 15 000 mais aussi dans celui de 1500. Par exemple aucune n'est indiquée de la Californie, l'Angleterre, ni la Camargue pourtant elles ont des données GPS, et quand je prend le menu "LIEUX" en haut de de l'écran de l'organiseur, les photos apparaissent sur la carte. .

Installation adobe photoshop elements & première elements

Bonjour
Je regrette de n'avoir pas acheté Adobe photoshop elements & première élément 12 sur DVD car j'ai des problèmes d'installation.
Photoshop elements ne s'installe pas complètement de ce fait :
– je ne peux lancer l'organiseur ou l'éditeur à partir d'un menu d'accueil
– si j'appelle l'organiseur et que j'appelle l'organiser je vois à l'écran "chargement de l'espace de travail d'Eléments organiser" sans que cet espace apparaisse.
– Si je lance Eléments organiser j'ai un message d'erreur précisant que les "composants requis ne sont pas complètement installé.
– A chaque démarrage j'ai toujours un message d'erreur me précisant "l'impossibilté d'initialiser les services en ligne. Vous devez les réinstaller. Appuyer sur OK pour continuer sans les services en ligne." Que faut-il faire ?
– Je n'arrive pas à désintaller adobe photoshop élément 12 car il n'apparait pas dans la fenêtre de windows 7 configuration de désinstallation d'un programme. Donc je n'ai pas accès à cette fonction de windows.
– Un nouvelle installation avec les même programmes téléchargés aboutit à situation d'échec donc je reste bloqué avec cette installation partielle. Je n'arrive qu'à lancer séparément l'éditeur et l'organiseur à partir de raccourcis que je suis allé cherché dans program files (x86) \ adobe ce qui me donne qu'un vague aperçu des possibilités de ce logiciel avec un fonctionnement incomplet.
Je suis déçu d'arriver à cette situation d'échec car au club photo nous travaillons avec cette version d'adobe photoshopElements. J'avais donc désinstallé la version 10 de que je vous avais acheté avec DVD car je perdais trop de temps à rechercher les correspondances des différentes fonctions lorsque nous travaillons ensemble.
Par ailleurs j’utilise adobe première éléments pour faire les montages des clip vidéo fait avec mon appareil réflexe et je développe pricipalement mes photos RAW avec adobe photoshop lightroom que je vous ai également acheté quand je suis sur mon ordinateur fixe... je suis donc un fidèle client adobe.
En résumé comment puis-je refaire une installation correcte sous Windows 7 64 bits d'Adobe photohop elements 12 que je viens d'acheter et télécharger.

Lightroom 3 et Photoshop Element 8

Bonjour,
Je viens d'installer dans mon ordinateur Lightroom 3. J'avais déjà d'installé dans mon ordinateur Photoshop Element 8. Quand je veux transférer des photos de ma caméra Canon T1i vers Lightroom 3, c'est la fenêtre "Téchargeur de Organiser" de Photoshop Element 8 qui ouvre. Comment je peux empêcher cela. Si je fais annuler dans la fenêtre Organiseur, je reviens dans Lightroom . Si je choisis Importer dans Lightroom, l'option de ma caméra apparait et tout se transfère normalement. Je suis aller dans le menu Edition et Préférences mais je n'ai rien trouvé de pertinent. Je suis allé dans le logiciel EOS Utility de ma caméra Canon et encore là, je n'ai rien trouvé de pertinent.
Ma question est donc la suivante: quand je transfère des photos de ma camera vers Lightroom 3, comment je peux empêcher la fenêtre Téléchargeur dans Organiser de Photoshop Element 8 d'ouvrir ?

Je possede Adobe Photoshop Element 9.
J'ai acquis un ordinateur ASUS G750 avaec windows 8.
J'ai effectué l'installation de P. E. 9, qui c'est tres bien passé ( sans aucune erreur ).
Quand je met en route le logiciel j'obtient l'écran me proposant soit l'organiseur soit l'éditeur. Je selectionne l'organiseur et l'écran apparait moins d'une seconde puis disparait.
Il n'y a aucun message d'erreur ou autre.
J'ai installer adobe photoshop element 11, mis il ne fonctionne pas non plus, tous les symptomes sont identiques.
Toutes les mises à jours de W8 sont faite.
Merci de bien vouloir m'aider.

Restart the editor while holding down ctrl+alt+shift (cmd+option+shift on a Mac). Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

Using Adobe Bridge with Photoshop Elements

I have an iMAC with iLife 08.
I take photos in RAW format with a Nikon camera.
I have been editing photos this way:
After uploading photos to iPhoto, export them as jpg to a new folder on the desktop, external HD or wherever. I open Photoshop Elements, edit the exported photo.
Then I'm stuck with my edits outside of iPhoto, unless I then import them back into iPhoto. It works, but it's cumbersome.
Today I thought I'd try a different route. I opened Photoshop Elements, and tried to use Bridge to browse photos. I can find the iPhoto library easy enough, but if I click on it, it opens iPhoto, and I'm stuck - can't open the photos in Photoshop.
I am hoping that if I do it correctly, I can save my edits directly back into iPhoto.
Any ideas?

Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

How many computers can you use one copy of Photoshop Elements 11 on please?

I have a 3 year old MacBook Pro with MAC OSX 10.6.8, iPhoto ’09 version 8.1.2 and have downloaded two software programs: one is Aperture 3.2 and the other is Photoshop Elements 9 (which I got from a friend who didn’t need it).
I am totally happy with the way iPhoto organizes my photos and how I can work with iMovie to create slide shows with music from iTunes, etc.
I have been shooting mostly high resolution jpegs and I continue to learn more and more about photography, post processing etc. I realize that the small adjustments I can make in iPhoto are good, and are adequate most of the time. However, a have started to experiment with shooting RAW images and would like to go the next step, ie. post processing.I am totally technically challenged and need SIMPLE, INTUITIVE programs and am certainly NOT anywhere ready for Photoshop CS whatever!
After having these programs sit on my computer, I decided to try to see if I could figure them out. When I opened Aperture, this is what first comes up.

I have heard horror stories about moving your entire library to Aperture, ending up with 2 libraries, etc. etc. hence my previous reluctance in attempting Aperture. In addition, many of my photography friends are saying: Go with Lightroom 3.....you’ll love it!
So here is my dilemma. I don’t want to mess around with my iPhoto library. All I want to be able to do, is to isolate a few photos, export them to Aperture, Elements, and work on them there, then bring them back into iPhoto.
Can I do this? Should I forget about Aperture and Elements and look at purchasing yet another program like Lightroom?

Export those few photos via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with Kind = Original to the Desktop. Then import them into the Aperture library. That would keep one copy in your iPhoto library and another in your Aperture library to edit, etc.
You can use Photoshop Elements 9 from within iPhoto as your editor of choice. However, if you edit a raw file in iPhoto with PSE9 the resulting edited version must be saved outside the iPhoto Library and imported back in as a new file. For editing jpegs just do a Save (not a Save As) and it all will be kept within iPhoto.

I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

How can I install Adobe Photoshop Elements Update 9.0.3 after I get a message that Installation has failed and the solution is not in troubleshooting or forums?

My Photoshop Elements 9 stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I clicked the PSE button nothing happened. I tried this several times over a few days and it still failed. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it. It worked well. Then I tried to install the Update 9.0.3. The download was almost successful. When it was about to show 100% successful for the download, an error message said the installation had failed and that I should try later. I tried this many times over a few days and the same result occurred. I tried troubleshooting and the answers to questions, but I could not find an answer. I don't know where to go to see if anybody has answered my question. How can I install Update 9.0.3?

How can I integrate metadata and keywords in Lightroom with those in Photoshop, Bridge, and Photoshop Elements? In other words, is there a way to retrieve common metadata templates from all modules? Thanks!

What I mean by "common metadata", is a unified, updated, most current metadata, which I could update in each program. That is without overwriting the metadata, but appending new keywords to the metadata I created in the previous program.
I use Bridge, then Lightroom and finally Photoshop. That's the regular workflow: Bridge for preliminary sorting and and adding some keywords; Lightroom for organizing and picking the best images; finally, Photoshop for processing. I got Photoshop Elements on trial. Doesn't work for my purposes.
I need to share and update the metadata / keywords when I go from one program into another. Can't retrieve metadata I set up in Bridge into Lightroom. Same happens with Photoshop, where I can't retrieve keywords I add in Lightroom. It's tedious to write up the keywords again.
