Organization data determination based on custom partner entered in transactions
Hi Folks,
I want org data determination to happen based on a custom partner(say sales rep) entered in my transaction.Which rule is the closest so that I can apply the same.

Hi Jaya
As your Business Partner is custom, then you'll need to create a custom Determination Rule anyway.
So in SPRO under Organizational Data Determination - Maintain Determination Rules.
Take a look at rule 10000280 - REG_SERV_04, it's probably still not a great fit, either way create the rule, copy the function module to a Z version and then adjust the code to incorporate the Sales Rep look-up.
Then you can assign the Rule to your own Organizational Data Determination Profile

I have a question regarding organizational data determination.
Defining a determination rule, I have the possibility to provide my custom FM that should perform an automatic organizational data determination. The FM offers the possibility to return a table containing all organizational units that are currently wanted/allowed.
However, what I would like to do is, to restrict the choice list to a number of combinations of org unit + distribution channel + division. I don't want the system to display a popup containing all distribution channel-division combinations from the org model. I would like to restrict this set according to my custom logic.
The question is: Is this possible at all? If yes, how?

I'm sorry I don't quite understand what you meant. Maybe my requirement is not yet clear.
Everything you explained was already done by myself. The problem I face is an ugly popup I would like to get rid of. This popup shows al the combinations of channel and division for the determined org unit. However, I would like to show only those combinations that are valid for the current customer.
As far as I understood, the only "return" value of my FM is the actor_tab. The ac_container seems to be treated like an importing parameter. I don't think modifying the contain within the FM would affect anything - right?
An example:
After my FM is executed the actor_tab contains only one value, say it is a sales office. The customer in scope has only one asignment for this sales office, channel and division are also defined there.
It seems like the system would now evaluate which channels and divisions are valid for that sales office. Therefore it checks the functions in the org model. In my case, the result is a quite big list.
I would like to restrict this list to the channel and division defined for the current customer.
How can I do that? Any ideas? Am I totally wrong with my view on this?

have not created an organizational model but want to create one
have a lot of organizational units and must only assign a few attributes
2) Rule type Organizational Model
You would use rule resolution using organizational model if you
have created an organizational model or have distributed a plan to SAP CRM and also want to use this for determining organizational data
assign a lot of attributes to the organizational units and these are to be evaluated

Organizational Data Determination Doesnu2019t work
We create stand alone Organiztional Model with Sales Organization, Sales Office, Sales Group structures.
We have applied the SAP Note 1061972 and also weu2019ve been schedduling the HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE report.
We have in all levels of the organizational model the check u201Cconsider in determinationu201D.
When we assign the Sales Area to the BP, we donu2019t have any problem whit that; we can see all the possible Sales Area.
The problem occurs when we create business documents; the Organizational Data Determination doesnu2019t work in any rule for example the Rule: 10000144 u201CSales areas incl. master datau201D.

I had similar issue a while ago.
Steps taken to check the issue:
1. Check the attributes of the sales office / sales group for determination. Eg. Postal Code / Country. etc
2. Check if the correct org. determination rule is given in the Transaction Type
3. Check for org. determination rule in the standard Transaction type and see if it is working good.
4. If the BP is sold-to-party check and see if the Sales area data is maintained.

Organizational data determination for mkt. activities
We need organizational data determination for mkt. activities created from campaigns. In CRM we have only the Marketing part of the clients organization, using Marketing scenario in PPCOMA_CRM.
If we leave org. unit field of activity blank, the activity has a red error light.
The responsable person is the one from the campaign. It is responsable of en Marketing unit (that was assigned to campaign).
The possible solutions for our cliente could be 1) org data determination from preceding document or 2) org data determination from the Mkt organization of the responable person.
Concerning 1) There is no "natural" way to assign the preceding
document (campaign). Am I right?
Concerning 2) The only way to determine the an unit, was choosing Organizational Model Determin. Rule 10000148 to perfile ZDUOCTEST and later changing the scenario of rule 10000148 from sales to marketing. This obviosly is not standard. As rule and perfile now have diferent scenarios. What would be the standard solution?

please do not get confused by the terminology of the standard solution,what you are doing by changing the scenariop from sales to marketing is actually a standard solution,
as an activity is generated in response to the campiang or survey being submitted,and it is always a sales scenario ,since further activity application is in martketing scenario ,so what you are doing is changing the scenario from sales to marketing so that from those activities tyou can generate the org data,this is the standard and it goes this way only
if you want to work other way around then just use the preceding document access sequence in the scenario like then you have to use the campaign data instead of the activity generated in response to the campaign,

Org determination in transaction based on custom Partner Function

I am trying to figure out how can I modify the partner determination procedure and org data profile to determine the sales area (org,dc,div,so,sg) in a transaction automatically without having to choose the sales org.
Here is the set up:
Sales Org ->Soff->Sales group are permitted for Org determination in ppoma_crm.
Custom Partner Functions - Y1 and Y2 assigned to Sales Partner Function Category
Access Sequence YXXX has the following set up:

Now here is the issue:
We want that when we create transaction YOPP it should fill the Org data including Sales Office and Sales group from the partner associated with the PF Y1 which gets assigned automatically when the account is selected on the transaction.
With the above setting, it populates all the sales offices and sales groups that have been marked for determination in ppoma_crm (which we don't want it to do). We need it marked for determination so the BP's master data associated with Y1 shows up the sales group and sales office.
When the account is selected on the transaction and Y1 is determined via partner determination, we would want the sales Org also to get determined automatically from the Y1 partner's master data.
Anything that can be changed in the above settings to make this happen?

Although i have no practical experience with this but an educated guess would be to use Partner function determination . If you have 'employee responsible ' PF , Then u can further use him for org determination.

No redetermination of organizational data when change the activity partner
In the Business Activity we have the determination Rule for Org.Data Model "14000161 - Org. Data Re. Master Data".
When we create a Business activity and enter the activity partner, the organizational data is determinated correctly.
The problem is that, when the activity partner is changed, the organizational data not is redetermined.
Anybody Knows how to do it?

Organizational Data Determination
Hello!
I have a transaction type with a organization data profile using rule 10000144.
When I create a document, the system doesn´t determine sales organization and distribution channel, but determines the organizational Unit correctly.
The BP used was created in just one sales area.
Does anybody know what could be the problem????

I check my organizational model, and all organizational units are checked in consider for determination.
The organizational units have the R/3 sales org assigned, and the attribute Distribution channel, Division and Tuppel (combination of Distribution channel and division) filled correctly.

First, Storage location will not be defaulted in Sales order with std system settings. Still if you want to automate storage location , you have to use exist.
Include: MV45AFZB
Form Exit: USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP
Based on Customer you can bypass sales process ( whether goods can procure externally or produce internally),
but not default the storage location based on Customer.

Org determination based on the Partner function
Dear Experts,
I have a scenario where i need to determine the org data of an activity based on BP assignment in Org model. this BP is caluclated based on partner determination procedure which has got access sequence "Preceding Document: Activity Partner -> Preceding Document: Sold-To Party" & is actually an employee. This employee is assigned to org structure & i want to have the org data based on that.

Organizational data determination in ICSS Complaint
Hi All,
I have configured the Complaint as per the best practices and working fine in GUI. But when I create complaint in ICSS it is showing error as enter org unit sales, Division and Distribution channel. I have given the org data profile as 000000012 in complaint transaction as standard value.
Another doubt I have, when I create the transaction in GUI and give the account number or sold to party number it asks in a box that from which org u want to create. If I choose the org it creates the transaction. I want how the transaction will take automatically the org unit. If I want the org box should not display how I will achive that.
Example: Lets say there are four sales org in delhi, chennai,Mumbai and in Calcutta and each sales org has 5 sales offices and I want to creae the sales order from Chennai sales org and from 1 of the Chennai sales office how the system will know automatically that this sales order is from this sales unit without displaying the Org unit box.

SaravanaThere is no pop up for sales area in icss and there is ICSS wrapper FM which internally calls CRM common function module to determine sales org.I didnt remember the function module which was exclusively used for ICSS, but you debug starting from the FM which is in backend layer during Save. The function module has simple coding how sales organization is picked instead of pop-up(like in SAP GUI). you can modify that if you want to determine different sales organization.

Pricing not determined based on Customer hierarchy

I searched the forum for the specific issue, but could not find a proper solution.
I have a specific scenario where we are migrating from 4.6C to 6.0. The hierarchy is already maintained in 6.0 version in a way which we need to adopt it. The level 1 in 4.6 C would become level 5 in ECC 6.0. The pricing procedure is adopted as per the 4.6C version where the key field for discounts are maintained as Customer hierarchy level 1 as level 1, now when we are raising a sales order, for none of the levels the price is getting determined, even though the price determination field is checked in the customer master. The system says initialized field, it is not able to trigger the HIENR01, HIENR02, HIENR03 field, even though the pricing records are maintained.
Looking for your feedback.

Even though the price determination field is checked in the customer master. The hierarchy may be out of sync. You can verify this by looking at table KNVH for 1 of your hierarchy nodes and viewing field prfre. This is required to = X for the hierarchy fields to be populated during order entry. If you find that it is blank and out of sync with the customer master, then you need to go into Process Customer Hierachy(VDH1N), enter your highest level node and execute, Once in the maintenance view of the hierarchy, click in menu hierarchy-> Update programs-> All; this will sync up the hierarchy from the customer master and make these pricing relevant. You can verify in this screen as well by looking at the 'Relevant for Pricing' flag is set. Hope this helps.

Batch Determination based on date of consig recieve

I am getting problem when i am trying to do manual batch determination in the outbound delivery.
I have created a record in VCH1 based on customer/Material/Plant. In this i have maintained a sort rule also. what characteristaics i must use to make my batch determination based on customer consignment recieving date?
If i go in MSC3n with Material, Plant and batch data then in the screen ( table MCHA, MCH1) onlt data available is for ERSDA, LAEDA and LWEDT.
In delivery when i click on batch determination button. my Sort rule is not automatically determined. So i have to maunally entered my soirt rule but at the same time my qty proposal in the same screen is 1 which is nothing but

When i am taking characteristics LOBM_VFDAT for sort rule in Cu70 then i am not getting batch determination as i required even if i maintained Shelf expiry date in MSC3n.
Please suggest where i must look into so that my batch determination would be based on date of consignment recieved.. currently if it s taking based on max qty available in MMBE.

Organizational structure determination on BP master data
Hello,
I need to assign the ERP sales organizational data to a CRM customer (BP) when created in CRM. this is the scenario:
the user is assigned to a position. the position is also assigned to a org. element with sales organization, distribution channel, division and sales office.
when the user creates a new customer in CRM, the sales area and sales office have to be the ones assigned to the user as explained above.
Basically I need something similar as happens in transactions.
can I make this by customizing ? do I need some development ?

You should write code that would pull the required data from T77OMATTR into the fields of the sales office and sales group. The code should be written in a way that the database records are filtered on the basis of the current user. If a user has been assigned to several org units, then all the records pulled could appear in the input help from which one could be chosen.

Org Unit determination based on Emp Resp in Task

I am using the standard transaction type TASK, and want to determine the Org Units Sales Org, Distribution Channel and Division based on the value entered for employee responsible. I have these employees to Sales Organization in the Org model under Positions. For the sales Org, I have maintained country as the attribute and released it. My requirement is to see the corresponding Org Units in the TASK transaction depending on the country of the Employee responsible.

Customer Relationship Management->Master Data->Organizational Management->Organizational Data Determination->Change Rules and Profiles->Maintain Organizational Data Profile
This new organizational data profile should have the following attributes:
Scenario: Sales;
Organizational Model Determin. Rule: please try 10000258 (Orgunit employee) or 10000162 (Employees for responsible org. unit);
Mandatory: Sales Org. / Dist. Channel / Division.
For last, please assign your new organizational data profile in your document type:
Customer Relationship Management->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types
