Organization not detected when running E2010 SP3 setup

I am working on an Exchange 2010 organization with two multi-role servers in it. They are running SP2 with no rollups. I attempted to install an additional server using SP3 media, but during the setup, it does not detect the existing Exchange organization,
but instead asks me if i want to create the First Organization object.
Initially I thought that perhaps this might be because some schema needed updating, so I ran setup /PrepareDomain using the SP3 media, but when I reran GUI setup, I got the same thing: it doesn't see an existing Exchange org and wants to create one called
First Organization.
I used ADSIEdit to confirm that the Exchange org objects were there, but I'm not sure what to look at next.
Any ideas?

I have tried about 30 different versions of the drivers (each on a clean installation) and used both clean and dirty boots, and nothing is working.
Before anyone points me at other threads in this forum, please note i have been scouring this forum for the past week trying every sugestion there is, and I have raised a ticket with Creative (who despite the prommise of a 2 day responce, have yet to respond)
I have tired multiple versions of the NForce drivers, NVidia display drivers, Creative Drivers, Bios updates, Chipset hacks and more.
does anyone hav a sugestion that is not already posted on this forum.

Tried it on one of the spare PC's in the house earlier (Nforce 2 based) - still no recognition of the card whatsoever, it's as if it doesn't exist.
I'm guessing that the card is pretty much toasted eh?

I have a retail Audigy 2. Autoupdate recognizes my card and gives me the available list of drivers and applications for download. I download the following:
) Audigy 2 Drivers
2) Audio Console
3) EAX Console
4) Speaker Settings
5) Surround Mixer
The ) Drivers and the 2) Audio console installs just fine. However, for each of the three remaining programs (3, 4, & 5 listed above) upon executing the downloaded file they all give me a pop-up window that says:
?Setup did not detect the required components. Setup will exit.
This happens with all three of them. I want to install these because I am of the understanding that one of these contains the ?Speaker channel test? (for lack of a better word) that will test if my speakers are hooked up correctly to the right channels. The ) drivers, and 2) Audio console do not have that test. I created another post concerning this but nobody has replied:

I also tried unzipping the three executable files with WinRAR, and then executing the Setup.exe files but it yields the same results.
Anyone know why I can't install these applications?!?!?!?!

Yes, Creative should be ashamed.

If you would reread my original post in this thread, that solution did not work for this particular problem of mine. I have a SoundBlaster Li've! Card that this solution worked for, however it does not work of the Audigy 2 card?unzipping the files with WinRar and then running the Setup.exe files produces the same result?setup does not recognize the required components and will close.
I?m not saying that the person who you quoted should not try it though.

SAP Gateway- environmental variables not loaded when running brconnect

i have installed the Sap gateway on MSCS
and the RFC check in sm59 is successful,
However when i run a job in db13 it fails with "brconnect is not recognized as ......... "
<sid>adm has all environmental variables set correctly
SAPService<SID> has them too
when i run brconnect on OS level it works fine with <sid>adm and SAPService<SID>
however if create a brconnect.cmd file where i specify the command as
SET ORACLE_SID= ....
SET SAPDATA_HOME=....
C:\windows\sapcluster\brconnect.exe ...........
and run it in sm69 it works fine
Any ideas how to solve this, seems the variables are not taken when running sapxpg
, i don't want to edit the SDBAC for every command
P.S
set from sm69 returns only the system wide variables, however i have the two systems on this host, and can not make the environmental variables for ORACLE_SID and SAPDATA_HOME system wide as this will cause problem with the other sap system

Can you tell us with which user id you have installed SAP as well as check the sap services are running with which user id, if it is not <sid>adm then you have to check the environment variables of that user.
Also you can try adding c:\windows\sapcluster in PATH environment variable.

How do I enlarge the "presenter notes" window when running my presentation on an external display?

In the latest version of Keynote, the "Presenter Notes" window is a small horizontal field at the bottom of the presenter's computer screen. Only 3-4 lines of text can be seen. This means that when you have a few paragrahs of notes, you have to scroll through them as you are presenting. This is very cumbersome. In the previous version of Keynote you could change the relative size of the slides versus the "presenter's notes" boxes when running a presentation on an external display, but in the new version, I can't find a way of enlarging the "presenter's notes" field.
Also, in the new version, the preview slide doesn't show the initial text on the next slide if that text emerges as a "dissolve in" build when you advance forward through your slides. I always have the initial text on my slides automatically "dissolve in" after each slide transtion. But in the new version of Keynote, when in presenter mode, I can't see any of the text on the "next slide." This makes it difficult to anticipate what slide comes next . . . without going to the Navigator. Does any one have a solution for this?

I figured it out with the help of a post from a few days ago. Although posted for a different problem, I followed these steps from Cornelia-I and it worked like a charm:
You can change the link of LR to the images from the network drive to your local drive, best done on parent folder level: right-click the highest folder in library left panel, and choose update storage location. In the opening dialog window point it to your internal folder.

Multitouch on track pad not working when running Windows 8 in boot camp

Does anyone know a work around on how to resolve the issue of more than one fingers on the trackpad? For example, I use one finger to click a window then another finger to slide/move the window to a different location on the screen. This does not work when running Windows 8 in Boot Camp latest version. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

External projector not being detected when running Leopard

We have recently upgraded a number of our instructor laptops to Leopard. Since the upgrade, we have confirmed an odd problem.
We have a number of multimedia carts in classrooms. The carts use an Extron VSW2 splitter to supply video to a ceiling mounted NEC LT280 projector. One input on the Extron device gets video from a CPU in the cart, the second input is for the laptop.
We have tested identical computers (2 - PowerBook G4 12" laptops, and 2 - MacBook Pro 15" laptops). In each case, one laptop is running OS 10.4.11, the other 10.5.1.
The computers running 10.4.11 detect the the projector and mirror the display. The computers running 10.5.1 will not detect the projector. The computers running 10.5.1 blank the screen when the video cable is attached, but nothing is displayed through the projector. System Profiler reports under 'Hardware -> Graphics/Displays -> Display Connector:' No Display Connected.
If I bypass the VGA splitter (plug the laptops into the VGA port at the wall plate which goes to the projector), both the 10.4 and 10.5 computers function perfectly.
If I do not have a desktop connected to the VGA splitter, both the 10.4 and 10.5 laptops seem to work fine.
I have contacted the vendor that installed the units – Extron has never heard of this problem.
Right now this issue is affecting several instructors, but later in the term, as students need to give presentations, this will turn into a major impediment.
My speculation (unfounded, at this point) is that Leopard may be reducing the signal/voltage being delivered to the video port; the result being that there is not enough signal to trigger the switchover in Extron device.
Any guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I think that Extron has an loop through on Input 1 for a monitor. You're probably using it for the CPU on the cart. Try running the Macs into Input 1 instead of Input 2. You may get it to work. The proj output on Extron stuff is usually buffered so that the projector doesn't pass info back to the computer. If you go into input 1, the computer will "see" the monitor and output properly.
Maybe.
Mind you, that doesn't help a whole lot 'cause you need the monitor for the CPU, right?

T420 - external 24" monitor DVI- Displayport : not detected when connected via KVM switch

I've been using a 2port USB KVM Switch from InLine for a long time connecting a mac mini and a macbook pro
to a 24" LCD. Recently I had to replace the MacBookPro with a T420. Unfortunately the T420 does not detect the
monitor, when connected via the KVM switch.
I tried:
A) T420 -> Lenovo Displayport to DVI-Adapter -> KVM-Switch -> 24" monitor: NO SUCCESS
B) T420 -> Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 DVI Port-> KVM Seitch -> 24" monitor : NO SUCCESS
C) T420 ->Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 DVI Port-> 24" monitor - > SUCCESS
D) T420 ->Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 VGA Port -> 24" monitor - > SUCCESS
So I have a workaround, but leaving out the KVM switch is not a long term option.
This is all on Win 7 professional / 64bit
Using config (A) I then installed the Intel HD Graphics Driver version 8.15.10.2342 16 May 2011
SURPRISE: during driver install, the monitor WAS detected!!!
SECOND SURPRISE: after reboot I was back in the old situation where the monitor was NOT DETECTED
CONCLUSION:
Seems like a software issue with the Intel HD Graphice driver.
ANY HINT/COMMENT/HELP highly appreciated!

hey mgold,
as the T420 works correctly with the external monitor and with the miniDock ; it is sad to say the the KVM switch is non-compatible.
I would recommend that you get in contact with the manufacturer of the KVM. At the same time, try uninstalling the current video drivers of your T420 and see if it makes any difference with the KVM if the T420 is running on a generic driver

Issue
I have an issue where if the keyboard is connected directly to my PC by USB it wont get detected all the time. Sometimes it will detect it for 10+ boots and then it will suddenly stop and wont detect it at all on any of my 16 USB ports for unknown time.
Only life i get is

Then few minutes later it got detected when not even touching the keyboard or computer. (not always)

Then I tried to connect CoolerMaster keyboard to my previous Logitech G15 keyboard by using it's ports and it worked flawlessly each time. Now instead of having 2 keyboards on my desktop I have a Intel USB HUB and it detects the keyboard.

Looking at it I noticed just recently, ohci-pci when directly and ehci-pci when through a hub. Not sure what it used when it worked directly.
But any ideas why this happens?

This is not solved but I mostly used to having a hub.
But i noticed that using different modes the keyboard behaves differently (obviously) however none of them behave the correct way.
kbd_mode -a (XLATE)
TTY switching works with ALT + F capslock/numlock LED's work partially*. And scrollock LED wont work.
* (Toggling numlock when capslock is enabled will turn of the LED for some reason)
And some keys are not mapped correctly (del arrows etc)
kbd_mode -u (Unicecode)
Same as above.
kbd_mode -s (RAW)
TTY switching does not work. capslock/scrolllock LED's wont work and wrong keyboard layout for del arrows etc.
kbd_mode -k (MediumRaw)
same as above
By default running showkey --scancodes in graphical mode returns
kb mode was ?UNKNOWN?
With this the layout where other modes fail is correct But switching TTY's wont work and LED's for capslock and scrollock wont work.
Any ideas how to proceed here?

Sqlora11.dll not found when running Pro*C application on 11g server

I have a Pro*C program that I have been able to pre-compiled, compiled and linked on my workstation using Mingw/gcc compiler and standard include files (sdtio.h...) from MS Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition.

The result is an executable file that gets connected to an 11g database hosted on a w2003 64-bit server, opens a table with blob fields and expands the blob content into a target table (one blob source record generates thousands of target records). Everything works fine when running from my workstation.
For some reasons, this executable file must run on the O11g server itself. So I copied and pasted the executable file on the server and tried to run it. I thought it would work...
But I get the following error message in a popup window: This application has failed to start because orasql11.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
At this point, I do not know anymore what to do to solve this problem !
Does it come from the fact that the complete build have been done on a Windows 32bit platform and the server is a 64-bit platform ?
Do I have to install a O11g 64bit client on my server to make it work ?
Do I have to rebuild everything from the server, meaning that I must install a kind of development environment on my server (Mingw/gcc and so on) ?
Is there something to change in the registry of the server or in the path environment variable so that this dll is found ?
Any others ideas ??

Actually, I do not have any O11g client installed on my Oracle server. But the DLL exists in my $ORACLE_HOME/lib on my server, more precisely in E:\app\dev_ora\product\11.1.0\db_1\BIN.
As I built my executable file on a win32 platform with O11g client 32bit installed, I was wondering if the same executable file copied onto the server was not trying to find the relevant 32 bit library on my win64 platform, which of course does not exists as I have only a 64bit version of this library !! Would-it be the cause of the problem ?
Does an O11g 32bit client installation on my Oracle 11g 64bit server would solve the problem ? Any inconvenient to have on the same server both an O11g 64bit server and an O11g 32bit client if it appears to be the solution ?

Web dynpro application not available when running iview wizard

When I run the iview wizard to create a web dynpro iview I find the folder local/<MyProjectName.
But when opening myProjectName folder the Application is missing, so I cannot create the iview.
When running the web dynpro Content Administrator I find the application in the ProjectName folder, but when I try to run it I get the exception:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.repository.utils.RepositoryException: Did not find application 'MyTestApplication' in repository.
What could be the issue?

Sorting array not working when run as a job

I have a Powershell script that reads data from a log file, extracts a username and adds it to an array. I then sort the array to remove duplicates and export the data to a CSV file. The script works fine when run locally on the server but I need to call
the script remotely for a number of servers and when I do this it does not output anything to the CSV. The script is run as a job.
$ArrList = [System.Collections.ArrayList]@()
# open file and read data
$arrlist.Add("$final")
$arrlist | sort -unique | out-file c:\scripts\iis_users.csv
If I change the script to use add-content it can add entries to the same CSV file. But ideally I need to sort the output as there are many duplicates.

Not sure why but that would only export the last user. I didn't have time to investigate so instead I decided to only add users to the array after first checking they didn't exist already:

add-content c:\scripts\iis_users.csv "$final"
I thought this would create a performance hit but it seems almost as fast.

Hyperlink is not working when running on sun solaris OS

I have Created PDF file using oracle reports 2.5 version and included hyperlinks in reports which will open files located on our intranet server(http://cup2.ngc.co.uk). Hyperlinks are working properly when I generated report on window xp machine but not working when I compiled and executed report on solaris unix server(reports 6i).
please let me know why hyperlinks is not working when executed on solaris((5.8). do we need any setup to work hyperlinks on unix server.

Ok, there are 2 docs i've tried.
A = Doc created originally from MPB Pages with hyperlink
B = Doc created from iPad Pages with hyperlink
A was transfered to iPad Pages using iTune. I emailed A as pdf from iPad to gmail and reopen the file on iPad using Quickoffice / PDF Reader Lite, the link is NOT active, not working. BUT, when i read A using MBP gmail, the link is ACTIVE, i click on the link and it brings me to the correct webpage.
As for B, after the page was created with links on iPad, i emailed B as pdf from iPad to gmail, reopen the file on iPad using Quickoffice / PDF Reader Lite, the link is NOT active, and this time, when i read B using MBP gmail, the link is NOT active as well.
Weird huh? I'm starting to sense that is the problem with iPad Pages. What say you?

Subreport not displayed when Run from SAP Business One

We have a crystal report that displays a subreport when it is run from within the Crystal 2008 Designer but not when run from within SAP. Has anybody else seen this error? We have tried importing it into SAP and checking the connections of the report and subreport etc but to no avail.

The main report is a document layout with the sub report linked into it using the DocEntry key field from SAP. The subreport should display data based on that link.
This main report only has the one sub report and when you preview in Crystal it returns data, when you preview using the same criteria but inside of SAP, it is not displayed.
