Organizational Chart in MSS

Dear Guru's
When trying to acces the organizational chart in the MSS scenario the system returns the XML data and not a visual representation.
Could you please help me.
Kind regards

Hi Milan,
It seems to be that you have to install and integrate a third party software vendor with SAP, to translate the XML-files into visuals.

In the Portal Content we changed property tester iView type to JNET in Organizational Chart  Tester iView, but the problem has not been solved.
    We tested following:
We checked In the Portal Content (Preview option) organizational chart, and here the organizational chart is drawn OK. We checked forums before and we could not find any straight answer. Any help will be rewarded.
    Regards.

    Hello David,
You are referring to the Organizational Chart Tester IView (     com.sap.pct.erp.mss.oci_tester).
This IView is an example of a third-party vendor's OrgChart application. So, this is only intended for test purposes, not for productive use. Please refer to the following SAP Documentation link:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/1d/d8ea3652f847a3833810344ed2a494/content.htm
An example of Organizational Chart application would be the OrgChart component of the STVN (Sap Talent Visualization by Nakisa). Refer to http://www.sap.com/solutions/solutionextensions/talent/index.epx.
    I hope I clarified.
    Cheers,
    Mauricio Bento Ghem.

  • SAP HR Interface for Organizational Charting (HR-OCI) 6.0

Do you need to have a SAP portal to use HR-OCI 6.0?  Do you also need to use ESS or MSS?  We are on SAP ECC 6.0.  We currently don't have a SAP portal, but we are looking into using HR-OCI to extract the Organizational Chart for a third party vendor.  Is this still possible?
    Thanks,
      Mark

  • Organizational Chart in SAP

    Dear Experts,
Can we have an organizational chart like shown below in SAP? I know in SAP we have it in tree form, but my client wants specifically in below format. Is it possible?
This is just an example I am showing, not the exact format. But is this kind of scenario possible in SAP?
    Please reply.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Bhagyashree

Yes, there are some standard reports that let you visualise the organisational structure.
There is a tool called Human Resources Information System (or HIS) that can be accessed via transaction PPIS. The first time you access the transaction, it will ask you which plan version you want to use - usually this is 01 (although it may be different in your business). Use the search help to find the top-level organisational unit you wish to report on, and use the radio buttons to select whether you also want to display positions and/or employees. Click the execute button and it will generate a very basic org structure. There are some screenshots on this page as an example: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-35373
Alternatively, if you use Manager Self-Service then the latest version has a basic org chart view. It's basically a very simple version of the Nakisa org chart, but you don't have to pay any additional licensing costs. It's in the MSS Team View application, the help page for this is here: http://help.sap.com/erp_hcm_ias_2013_02/helpdata/en/a2/063081c4c34b07b727ff4ad2b76101/content.htm

  • Using "Save for Web & Devices" for a Organization Chart with Text

I created a document in CS3 Illustrator that is an Organization Chart. It contains rectangles, lines, and text. It looks great in Illustrator.
I have tried to save it using "Save for Web & Devices" to create a JPEG and a GIF so that I can pop it into a Dreamweaver document as an image and it keeps coming out blurry.
I have tried changing its size and resolution. I have tried opening and exporting it into Photoshop to try to "clean" it up. Nothing seems to be working.
I'm obviously unlettered in this modus operandi!
    meem

    Thanks for the response.
The background is transparent and will end up on a white background eventually.
I tried to make it clear in Dreamweaver by scaling it and it did seem to improve it somewhat. But it still doesn't look like the clear copy in Illustrator that I started with...
I also need to be able to embed this in a Word document to print for a hardcopy manual.
I had this same problem with Freehand a few years ago.

  • Hyperlinks in "organizational chart" not converting

I have tried using the MS office "organization chart" (insert-> picture-> organization chart)function in word, excel, and ppt to make a drawing tree with hyperlinks. All of the links are lost when I convert to PDF. I also tried using VISIO to create a tree structure with hyperlinks and I have the same problem.
Does anybody know how I can get this to work?
    Thanks,
    Jarrod

I have tried using both "file->print" and "adobe PDF-> convert to Adobe PDF"
I have found that as long as the hyperlink is not in an "object", it will convert to pdf, but any link that is in a text box, or embedded body like a visio drawing tree or MS office org chart, it will not convert to PDF hyperlink.
Also, I have found that a hyperlink in a table or copied cells from excel will convert, but It is too much work to make a org chart from scratch.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Jarrod

  • Best Organizational Chart Software for the Mac

Any suggestions for the best org chart software for the Mac?

I dunno, there aren't really any screen shots or concrete descriptions on the Evernote site, and I've never used it, but from looking at a video on their site, I'm not sure it would qualify for creating organizational charts. If Fred is looking for something that creates stuff like flow charts and the like, he may have better luck with OmniGraffle. Whether this is available on the Mac App Store, I don't know... but if not, don't bother with the Mac App Store and just download from the web site:

  • Organizational Chart with specific colors in OBIEE 11g

    Hi Gurus,
How to create organizational chart in OBIEE? I tried to follow this link Oracle Business Intelligence by Sandeep Venu: Google Organization Chart in OBIEE 11G
but can't find out how to make specific chart (example chart of manager position) have a red color, the director chart have a green color.
    Please help
    Regards

This requirement sounds like it has a possible solution with some html coding. My idea is to :
    1) Create a dashboard with two pages.
    2) In the first page, create an iframe of the first dashboard.
    3) In the second page, create an iframe of the second dashboard.
    4) Customize the second dashboard page to have the custom background color.
Please refer to this link on how to customize the dashboard pages: http://www.appsassociates.com/resources/presentations/AA_OBIEE_Customizing_Dashboard_Appearance_NEOAUG_Fall09.pdf
    Please assign points if helpful.
    Thank you,

  • Crystal Reports and Organizational Charts

Has anyone used Crystal Reports for creating Organizational Charts? The gap we have is that some manual user overrides are needed to the final output, and the output cannot be modified in Crystal unless exporting the data. The export format is clunky.

    Hi,
Did you do any aggregation for your org chart in crystal report?
Or you have to draw it in CR?
If not, pls use excel or other powerful UI oriented tools, as far as i know, crystal handles data well but not the final format.
    Thx,
    Hao

  • Adding Organizational Chart in Pages '09

Does anybody know how to add an organizational chart in Pages '09?
How could I make the connection line not to be curve after adding shapes?
    Please discuss answers here.
    Thanks

    Walt
    It is quite versatile.
Of course it does excellent organisation charts but also any other drawing task or outlining.
You can map, space plan, diagram, in fact almost all drawing tasks. That includes wireframing websites, user interfaces and gadget modelling.
www.graffletopia.com has a wealth of "stencils" which are collections of ready made artwork which are so beautifully implemented in Omnigraffle that I wish Apple and Adobe would steal/licence it to put in their respective programs.
As a wireframer I think it earns its keep on that alone, everything else is cream. It is also a favored route to get .svg drawings into Keynote/iWork as shapes. Something Apple has totally neglected.
It should be considered the missing drawing application in the iWork suite.
