Organize documents into folders via the Apple Configurator app?
I am trying to load a huge number of documents onto several iPad Airs using a MacBook Pro running Mavericks OS and the Apple Configurator app. Is there a way to organize these into folders using the app? I have a tree of folders on the MacBook Pro that contain pdf files. I would like to recreate this folder tree structor on teh iPads without having to lay hands on each unit.

That folder icon is for importing documents. Unless I've missed something, there is no way in the current version of Pages to organize documents in folders. You may want to consider a different app such as Documents To Go.

Can you be more specific? Normally you would open the Finder, create a folder in your preferred location (Documents or wherever), and drag and drop files into it.

I am trying to connect my JVC Hard Disk Drive Camcorder to my IPAD 2 via the Apple camera kit. I am able to download photos, but video files not showing. Camera shows Mass Stoarge. How can I download videos please?
The file name only has 6 characters and I'm not sure what the .mod format is. So that's why they are not seen by the iPad.
Another way to transfer. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I have recently migrated data from Windows PC to Macbook Pro 13in.running Yosemite. On booting the macbook now the account with the migrated data can only be accessed via the Apple menu. Is this normal ?
Open the Users folder on the internal drive, drag all of the other home folders to the desktop, and then move the files inside to the desired locations.

Start with the Documents on the left. Click the Edit button (upper right). Click the Add Folder button (folder with + icon). Name the folder.

When away from my home, I need to utilize iPhone Hotspot (AT&T). I can access RoadRunner Webmail and download to my iPhone with or without the hotspot. But, if I wish to use the Iphone Hotspot to download email via the Apple mail program on my laptop, I get an error message indicating: "The sender address [username redacted]@twcny.rr.com was rejected by the server smtp-server.twcny.rr.com" but I am able to access internet sites. So we just got a new Macbook and I also installed the apple configurator tool. I'm using it to prepare the iPads for deployment and it won't let me prepare them? It gets an error stating "retrieving iOS info from apple" then it stops and says "internet error". My Internet connection is fine with the Mac-book. It shows the iPad is listed under the Prepare logo up top as 1 but under supervise none are shown. Although it does show itself in iTunes. Also the profile I created is fresh and has no errors. We have tryed nearly everything I cna think of and online forums are not giving us to much info on this error.

Simply type command 8 again. That toggles the "show paragraphs" function.

If by "still nothing" you mean they are not showing up in the AU manager after reinstalling them....
Im guessing the AU Cache itself is now corrupted so.....
Quit LPX
Open Finder
Press the option key and click "Go" in Finder's menu and select "Library". (This is the User Library and not the System Library and is normally hidden which is why you have to hold down the option key when clicking on Go.... to reveal it in the drop down menu that will appear)
Go to "Caches" dir and remove "AudioUnitCache" dir.
Now Restart your Mac.....
and then Launch LPX and let it rescan your plugins and see if that fixes things....

I have a first generation MacBook Air that has been refurbished via the Apple store. I installed Snow Leopard about a year ago and now, my computer wont update! It will download the updates restart my computer, but then I get an error message and the computer wont restart!
What is a error message and what do you see when it appears?
Haven't much problem with Airs around here, since they have a SSD they tend to be more reliable.
Perhaps it was a bad update, have you ran through this list of possible fixes?
Do as many as possible, starting with #1. Until the problem is resolved.
Use the boot 10.6 USB instead of the disk of course.

Apple Configurator requires both Mac OS X, and the most up to date version of iTunes, and can only be installed from the Mac App Store.

It's not even clear to me from searching if this is the processor idling or the firewire port hardware. Only thing clear to me from testing is that it does have something to do with using an audio interface - I don't get this noise plugging in my external hard drive, but I still hear it if I daisy-chain the hd through my interface. Any help or recommendations appreciated - do pc firewire ports have this issue too?

When I connect iPad to Macbook Pro through USB Port or even charge my iPad via the apple adapter, it has no response at all. I can only charge my iPad when I totally shut off the iPad. Pls advise.
Well ... the charger is the original charger and just checked and confirmed it is a 5.1V charger. How come? Next is why when i connect my iPad via original usb cable, no response from macbook pro? used to sync with iTunes now totally dead.

I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.
Oh, and if anyone is curious, the database is completely open to queries using the command line sqlite3 tool. Here's the language reference http://www.sqlite.org/lang.html
