Organizer/Photo Editor

PSE11 Mine starts in Photo Editor. Is there a simple way to switch to organizer or can I set the startup window to pop up and give me the choice again?

Go to Help>Welcome Screen to bring up the welcome window, then click the gear icon at the upper right to see where you can change the settings.

Where's the photo editor in ps 11?

I purchased photoshop elements 11 and premiere elements in July 2013. I have two computers, the first computer has organizer, photo editor and video editor. I download the program to the second computer and only have organizeer and video editor. I chatted with the chat line and they said to re-download the program. I have tried, over the top of the first download, drug the download to the trash (I have a mac) and lastely I have un-installed the software after saving all of my photos to documents, just in case my files were also deleted and re downloaded the software. I do not have a photo editor, but I now have a choice of downloading a "free" trial of ps 12 or to purchase ps 12. Thanks for any assistance

Do you mean that you tried to copy the installed versions over to the other computer? You can't ever do that with PSE--it is not a tidy package in accordance with the apple developer guidelines, but strews stuff all over your hard drive. You should have gotten two installer files, one for Premiere Elements, the video editor, and one for Photoshop Elements, the photo editor.

How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor

How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor at one time. I receive the error message, "Unable to Import Files", which says "You exceeded number of files that can be selecteed and imported at once...." What is the number? Secondly is there a way around this for either the Organizer or Editor to work on thousands of photos at the same time?

I have never heard of this particular limit before.
Please understand, this appears to be the limit you can import into the Organizer at one time -- you can have as many photos as you want in the Organizer; but apparently you have to import in batches rather than all at once.
I don't think it applies to the editor; and I can't imagine wanting to have more then a few files in the editor at any one time ... even if you could open 2000 photos in the editor at once, what sense would that make?

Cant print photos in Photoshop 12 Photo Editor but can from Organizer

I cannot print single photos in my Photoshop 12 Elements Photo Editor but I can through the Organizer. I have no problems printing photos from all other software on my computer.
This is a recent development.
I'm using a PC [Windows 7].
Would reinstalling Photoshop Elements 12 [or 13] resolve the problem or is there a simpler way to get the Photo Editor to print?

How do I transfer my photos in Photoshop Elements 11 to Photo Editor to enable me to edit the photos?

If you mean from Organizer to Editor, select the file you want to edit, from the organizer grid and click Edit >> In Photoshop Elements Editor.

OK,
Good to hear that you are running at the moment.
The causes for organizer and the editor to stop working are usually different. For both to be affected, I would tend to suspect disk space problems. Probably a good idea to check that you have plenty of free space.
Please let us know if you have problems again and we can try troubleshooting.

At the main menu for Elements, where you can select Organizer or Photo Editor, when I signin to Editor nothing happens

When I am at the main screen to select either Organizer or Photo Editor, I click on Editor and it requires me to sign in. Once I sign (I have confirmed the login information) in and click the signin button the screen cycles and never logs in to Editor.

What is the version of your PSE? In version 11 to go to the Editor, you need to click on the Editor tab as shown in this picture:

Want to start PSE 12 in photo editor but it will only start in Orgaizer, can't get to welcome screen and the .exe file that Adobe said to look for does not exist on my files

Have tried to start PSE 12 in photo editor but it continues to start in Organizer. I do not want my pictures loaded in Organizer at all. Saw a page on the web that said to click on an .exe editor file but that is not on my files. Also cannot get a welcome screen to come up, only an organizer even though I checked it the first time to come up in photo editor. I'm now having Organizer crammed down my throat. Tried online chat but was cut off with the statement that no support is offered for v12 any longer.

You failed to say which operating system you are running on so I'm assuming it is Windows of some type.
You should be able to find the following files, using explorer, depending on your system.
64bit system: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
32bit system: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
Double clicking on that should start the editor - suggest to create a shortcut to it.
If you can't find one of those files, then you either installed it somewhere else or you need to re-install elements.

How do I make Organizer and Editor open at the same time?

I'm new to PSE 10 and want to know how to make Organizer and Editor open at the same time. I can get the Organizer up, but have to pick out a photo and click on Fix: Full Photo Edit to get Editor to open. Is that the only way to do it?

Create Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor:
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"

Photo Editor not opening

I purchased Photoshop Elements 12 last week from amazon.com and I haven't been able to get the Photo Editor to open. My laptop is not connected to any printers and it's not a Mac. How can I open it?
When I try to open the Organizer it says "Online Services could not be initialized. Please reinstall. Press OK to continue without Online Services," but when I select "OK" it seems to work fine. What are the Online Services? How do I reinstall?

We cannot know. You are not providing any system information. That aside, if the program doesn't work, then it may not have been installed correctly in the first place and a reinstall will be necessary. Still, unless you figure out what went wrong, this won't do any good, so system information and otehr details are still required or you're running in circles....

PSE 12 Photo Editor won't open

Hi,
I purchased PSE 12 in January 2014. It's been working just fine up until the other day. I went to open Photo Editor and it sent me to some other screen and asked me to login. Tried logging in and it said I wasn't connected to the internet yet I was. I Decided to uninstall PSE12 and reinstall. after a few attempts I finally get the main PSE12 screen when I click on the PSE12 icon on my desktop. I was very excited. However, once I click on the Photo editor it appears like it's trying to open and then stops and nothing happens.
I"ve tried something I read on another page to hold Ctrl, Alt, and Shift while I click on the PSE12 icon. From what I've read I should get a screen that allows me to delete something however, I get the pop up that is typical for most program icons. Multiple tabs, Shortcut, General, Compatibility, Security, Details, and Previous Versions. I don't remember changing anything on my computer since the last time I opened PSE12 Photo editor.
Any ideas, I'd like to use the program

Once I reinstalled PSE 12 I no longer have get the sing in page or the message that I'm not connected to the internet.
Yesterday I downloaded PSE 12 and reinstalled it. I clicked on the desktop icon and got the main screen to either open Photo editor or the Organizer. I was able to open Organizer but unable to open Photo editor.

Change in Organizer photo import functions?

I have a set of master files, each containing a fairly high number of subfiles in a fixed order. Each subfile contains a number of photos, also in a rigidly fixed order. The whole thing is a botanical archive. Formerly I used Organizer with great success: all subfiles with their photos appeared in the catalog in exactly the right order. Now something bad has happened, there is no more a division of the content of a masterfile into subfiles and all photos under a master file appear in a hopelessly mixed order. Worst of all, all my old catalogs have also been corrupted. Can anybody help me, or am I forced to conclude that the Organizer has suddenly become useless for my purposes?

We had better stop this discussion now, Organizer remains useless to me. The hard facts are as follows. I had been using PSE 7 for several years, and everything worked beautifully. The program presented all my photos arranged in their fixed order within the order of the folders. Suddenly, one day last Marsh, Organizer went crazy. I uninstalled the thing and installed it again. Same situation, it didn´t work. I thought this was a clever way to force me to aquire PSE 11, so I did just that. Nothing improved on the Organizer side (Editor seems to be a bit better than in 7, though).
Of course I can make a slide show out of my folders, but not with PSE. The other alternatives seem to have one big drawback: I cannot find a way to make the frames advance one at a time, just by left-clicking. They advance now automatically with some fixed interval, and this does not enable me to give more attention to certain frames than to others. In the old Organizer I could achieve exactly what I wanted.
