Organizer window's top edge above the monitor

When I open Organizer, the window extends beyond the top of the monitor screen. This removes from my reach all of the controls that sit on the top edge of Organizer. Aside from this problem, Organizer works. I can stretch the window, but I cannot get to the top of it, so I cannot stretch it downward. Right clicking the icon that is on the bottom bar of Vista brings up the Move option but not the Restore option. Move is unable to grab any place in Organizer. I have changed the screen resolution but none of the various settings makes any difference. The folks the Adode help desk tried a few fixes but all failed, and they advised me to uninstall/reinstall Photoshop. I had the different problem two months ago, and the help desk walked me through a reinstall, which resulted in a total disaster - the tags on most of the thousands of photos got scrambled and I had to re-tag all of them. So, I am looking for an alternative. Thanks.
Editor works fine.
Organizer presents the same problem whether I open it first, or open it while in Editor.

Joe's solution works on my PSE 7. If it doesn't work on yours you could delete the Organizer's preferences:

This won't lose any of your tagging, but you will have to reset any options you've set in Edit > Preferences.

Fluxbox - windows open with titlebar off the top edge of the screen

On my EEEpc 701, in fluxbox, when i open an app, its window opens with the title bar off the top edge of the screen. I think this is probably a stupid question, but is there a way to fix this? I assume there's a setting in xorg.conf, but I can't seem to find it.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

Windows 10 does not recognize the Monitor as PnP

Windows 10 has my FT220 HQL touch monitor listed as "generic" and limits the resolution. Windows 7 recognized the monitor and offred the highest resolution the monitor supports. The resolution in Windows 10 is very poor and it limits the resolution. I went through the initial start up procedure as described in the Quick Guide, but it did not help. The auto Adjust does not improve it either. I do not see win 10 drivers on the web site. Is this the problem? Why doesn't win 10 recognize the monitor? How do I correct?

I downloaded the win 8 drivers from the Acer site, but they would not load. I had a chat with an Acer support person which was useless. I just revered to windows 7 (easy option in 10), and full function is restored. I'll check the Acer site from time to time and wait for a win 10 driver. My Windows 10 upgrade button is still showing, and a copy is reserved. Thanks for the response.

Not able to view text while typing beyond the top edge of the keyboard

I have an iPad mini with updated iOS 8.1.3 ......
Honestly I was very happy with iOS 7 it was perfect. The iPad was working fast and effortlessly. Just like how any apple product should be.
Until iOS 8 spoiled the show. There are many problems I'm facing after the update, but I want a solution for my major problem.
Problem 1: (Major –Blinded by the Keyboard)
I'm not able to view the body text beyond the edges of the keyboard while I’m typing; may it be in Notes, Pages, Numbers, Keynotes, calendar or any other app, which requires typing. Earlier I could just swipe it up and so it got scrolled to the end of the document. I extensively use notes, Calendar, pages, numbers, and keynote on iPad but sad that I can't see anything, though it is typing beyond the edge of the new keyboard. It's just stuck. Presently I'm copy-pasting, by typing at the beginning of the document cause after it reaches the edge of the keyboard I'm blind can't see. Please fix it soon before people realise this.
Problem 2: (updating)
iOS 8.1.2 is slow for iPad mini 1. When the processor is not able to manage this update then why does Apple give the option of updating. iOS 7 was just perfect. I was forced to update it because my app updates wouldn't update. Soon as I click update it opens the app and there you have it 'nothing'.
Problem 3: (Siri)
what is the use of Siri when it is slow to react, (in 3G). It just opens up slow.
Problem 4: (Photos app)
Photos app response time is very slow on iPad.
Problem 5: (assertive touch)
The assertive touch button on screen just goes dud sometimes on iPad.

For your keyboard problem: Hold down the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple Logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
For your other issues, & if you do not wish to update to iOS 8.2, do a general reset:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings. You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.

How do I hide the Windows (XP HOME) taskbar on the left edge of my screen?

While I am in Firefox; I would like to hide the Windows taskbar on the left hand side of the screen, so that it appears when 'touched' by the cursor.

You can move the taskbar to top, bottom, left or right edge of your monitor as the TonyE and cor-el suggest, when it is not locked (right-click on a blank spot in the task bar; a check mark next to "Lock the taskbar" indicates it is locked; toggle locked to unlocked by clicking on "Lock the taskbar").
You can have the taskbar automatically hide, by right-clicking the "Start" button, click "Properties", click the Taskbar tab, place a check mark (click) "Auto-hide the taskbar" (note, no need to unlock taskbar to change this option). When you move the cursor to the position of the taskbar (left, right, top, bottom of the monitor) the taskbar will slide/pop into view; when you move the cursor away, the taskbar will again auto-hide. '''<u>The option is all or none, there is no option to hide it only when surfing the internet.</u>''' You can turn the taskbar back on (to always display) by un-checking the "Auto-hide the taskbar" option.

Missing Window Top Edge, etc. (LR 1.3.1)

I am using Mac OSX 10.4.6. Yesterday I downloaded LR 1.3.1.
For some reason, I do not have (or cannot find) the top edge of the window, where the red button to close the window is, and the yellow button to minimize, etc. I can also not find anything on the bottom right of the window to use for shrinking it.
If I use the menu or keyboard command to minimize the window, that works. But if I close the window (by keyboard or menu), the program quits.
Am I really missing something here??? I do not remember this being the case before the update. When I start the program, it entirely fills the screen.

When I go to Firefox, I lose my Windows "frame". I lose the entire Windows toolbars at the top and bottom of the page.

When I go to Firefox, Firefox fills the entire screen. I lose all Windows controlls. I tried rebooting. No change. I tried reloading Firefox. No change. To exit Firefox, I have to use the Task Manager. If I go to a link withon a message, I have to exit Firefox to get back from that link.

#while the toolbars are displayed, move your cursor to a blank area on one of the toolbars and right-click

Iv'e had my mac for 2 weeks & now have a problem with safari since I changed to a wireless super hub. It will not open a web site I use my iPad & windows lap top will. Apple support say it's the DNS settings cable say there okay please can anyone help

Iv'e had my mac for 2 weeks safari was working great until I changed to a wire less super hub. Safari will not let me open & log into a web site I go on a lot. My ipad & windows lap top will on the same network. Apple have said it's the DNS setting my cable provider say it's not it's a problem with my mac. Iv'e phoned apple lots of times same with cable provider Iv'e tried a few things it has not helped solve the problem. I'm now advised to return my mac to the shop for a check. Has anyone else had this problem I would appreciate any help because I'm going round in circles.

Adding a couple of DNS numbers sometimes helps:
System Preferences>Network, select your wifi or ethernet network on the left and click on the 'advanced' button and then the DNS tab. On the left side of the window make a note of any DNS numbers listed so that you can re-instate them if necessary and then click on the '+" button bottom left of the window. Type 8.8.8.8 and click the + again and type 8.8.4.4 save the settings and try the website again.
BTW, I have the same problem with Firefox not letting me input my password in secure sites. I did find a workround in the network settings in Firefpx prefs, but it didn't stick so I reverted to using Chrome as alternative browser. No problems with that so long as you don't mind Google looking over your shoulder

Elements 10 organizer window position on screen.

I am helping an elderly friend who uses Elements 10 on a MAC, his organizer window appears on screen with the top line/menu bar having File, Edit, find, View etc. off the screen at the top and I can't move it down to display properly. I am not very familiar with a MAC being a PC user myself, does anyone know why this has happened and how to fix it please?

I totally don't understand what you're saying, sorry. One major difference between PSE in windows vs the mac version, is that on a mac, for both the editor and the organizer, that top line is attached to the top of the mac's screen itself, not the program window. You can't do anything to the organizer window that would cover it.

Running 10.9.2, out of the blue I can no longer minimize e-mails in Mac mail program. I have to put the cursor on the upper edge of the screen to show the tool bar that allows me to scroll down to quit mail to get out the of the program.

Recently my mail program has changed itself and I can no longer see the red, yellow and green dots allowing me to close minimize and enlarge. To get out of mail I have to put the cursor on the top edge of the toolbar expanding to another toolbar that will allow me to quit mail. This is a real pain right where my mother never kissed me. How do I get the dots back?

Move the mouse to the far upper right corner of the screen. You should see a blue box with two arrows pointing inwards. Click that blue icon. Sounds like you put the Application into whats called Fullscreen Mode.

Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro 15" uneven illumination alongside top edge

I have just bought the new retina MacBook Pro 15" and have experienced some uneven illumination alongside top edge of the screen. I took it to the Apple store and they offered me a replacement. I thought, sweet! However, the new machine seems to be exactly the same. Now this is not noticable when the screen doesnt move, but it becomes a little bit irritating and visible when ones moves from desktop to desktop or among fullscreen apps. You can see the illumination is not the same and as a result, two darker spots appear. Can anybody else confirm this is on other machines as well? I don't mean to be overly picky, but I think it's a bit unfortunate on a computer with this price tag. Thanks!

Jittery top edge of movie: mask in iDVD or iMovie?

My video camera probably had dirty heads and there is a few pixel band on the very top edge of the movies that dances. I would like to mask that out: should I do it in iMovie or IDVD? How do I do that?

Oh, and there is just one more thing... I am using version 5 of these two programs.

Cannot write on top edge page...

Hi everyone, I am using Pages iWork '08. I was planning making a short tutorial on pdf not actually printing it on paper. I have problem I can write on the top edge of the page area. I can write on the left edge, right and bottom edge part of the page but not the most top edge of the page. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Welcome to Apple discussions.
I'm not having any trouble typing at the top edge of the paper. Click on the Document inspector > Document button, uncheck the Header box, then reduce your top margin to 0.1. That should do it.

Half of the monitor got darker [Photo Included]

The imac was working fine until 2hrs ago.
The half of the monitor, which is upper part is darker and it fades and gets clearer on the bottom.
Anyone know what the problem is?

A few seconds after my iMac came out of sleep the top half of the monitor went dim. I'll post again once I hear from Apple.

How do I move the window when the top of the Organizer window is out of reach on a Mac?

I saw a similar question posted on the forum for a user with a PC. I'm using dual monitors. I've already tried going back to one monitor with now luck. I'm using Mac OS X 10.7.4 - at some point while using the organizer, the top of the window went above the desktop menubar. So I've lost part of the window and all the icons for using organizer. I've tried playing with display settings and have done a couple net searches but haven't been able to resolve. I've rebooted, updated software, shut down and restarted elements, but can't get the window to show up in the center of my screen. Any other suggestions

Are you sure your put your display back to the highest setting (system prefs>displays)? It's not really possible to do this under normal circumstances.
Go to your username>library>preferences and delete com.adobe.Elements Organizer.[version number].com. You will normally have more than one, with slightly different spellings. In lion that library is hidden. To see it option click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account.
