Organizing all equipment to one account

Somehow I have ended up with a separate iTunes acct of my iPad and my iPhone - how can I merge all to one and use iCloud?

I think your question requires a little clarification - or I don't understand it.
Are you using a different Apple ID on each device  ....  In other words you are purchasing content with 2 different Apple ID's? If you are - there is no way to combine the 2 accounts/ID's. If you are saying that you have different content on each device and you want the same apps, songs, books, etc. on both devices that's a different issue.
You can go to Settings>Store>Automatic Downloads and turn on apps, music and books and then what ever you download to one device will also download onto the other device. You can turn this on in iTunes as well in Edit>Preferences>Store from the iTunes menus at the top.

Or you can simply use the Restore option of Disk Utility to clone the drive to the backup:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
Select the destination volume from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.

I need an answer to this too.

  • [No body found] on all mails from one account

All mails I get from one account are empty, containing only [no body found].
The mail is fetched from the ISP via fetchmail, forwarded to Zarafa-Groupware and synced with the mobile devices via Z-push (OSS ActiveSync solution). All other mail clients work fine (Android, IOS, Nokia Mail for Exchange,...) and the calendar as well as notes and adresses all sync fine. Only the mail bodies are empty
The logs on the server look fine...
Any hints on how to get get it working? Or at least on how to get more debug info on the Z10?
    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers,
    Ycas

Hmmm...well, then the only thing I can recommend is that you contact your mobile service provider for formal support and, likely, escalation into BlackBerry. They may want to collect logs and such to see if they can replicate the problem. It also may simply be an unsupported provider...it's really quite impossible for any device to support every provider (I admit, it should work...but there is a slight chance...).
    Good luck!

  • Does deauthorizing all computers on one account affect access by others

Four different accounts have been used to buy music on ITunes library. Apparently one of the accounts has hit the five computer limit. If I "Deauthorize all" computers for that one account, does it affect the physical computer's authorization to access the music purchased by the other three accounts?

Computers are affected by deauthorization to a given iTunes Store account, so if you use the "deauthorize all" command for an iTunes Store account, all computers to that account will be deauthorized. It should not, however, affect any authorizations for any other iTunes Store account, so authorizations to the other three accounts should remain.
    Regards.

  • HT1311 Access all Stores from one account!

I really like some of the apps in the Spanish South American store and the UK Store, but I can only access the United States Store in my App Store with only using one account pertaining to that region. Does anyone know how to override this? I'd like to be able to browse all markets available on one account instead of having three or four accounts for all stores???? Please help! Thanks!

You can only buy and download content from your country's store - to be able to buy from another country's store you need a valid billing address in that country and be in that country when buying from it. You can try requesting that the apps that you want be added to the US store, but ultimately it's the developer that woll have to grant Apple a license to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • HT204053 I have two Apple ID's, can I merge all purchases into one account?

I have two Apple ID's and am finding that Apple TV will only recognise one. Can I merge previously purchased content into a single Apple ID to make it accessible to Apple TV from multiple devices?

The Apple TV will recognise multiple libraries using different iTunes accounts providing they are all using the same homesharing details.

  • Accidentally deleted all mail from one account - how to retrieve?

I apparently deleted all of the mail from one of my email accounts on the iPhone. They are not showing up in the Trash folder.
The emails are still present in Entourage and have not been deleted from the server.
Is there any way to bring them back into the iPhone? I really need them for my on-the-go responses since I spend half my life waiting in offices!
    Thanks,
    roxpat

    OK - another update.
If the message is downloaded into Entourage first then it won't downloaded onto my iPhone at all. I haven't made any changes to my account.
    ideas?

  • If I have two iTunes accounts can I combine all purchases into one account ?

I have two active iTunes accounts but I would like to combine my purchases into one is that possible.".?

If you mean iTunes Store accounts, no.
If you mean iTunes libraries, import the files into the desired library.

  • When migrating from a pc to  macbook pro migration assistant caused multiple user accounts how do I get the data all in to one account now that it is migrated ?

I am switching over to apple from a PC platform and I have tried to use migration assistant to transfer the stuff on my PC to my macbook pro. When i tried the first time the two went to sleep due the long time required to transfer 13 GB of data and the transfer failed. I tried to transfer again only opting for some of the data  but when I did it created a second user account . I tried again and now I have transferred most of the data but I have it in three user accounts. Not what I wanted to do. Is there an easy fix for this or do Ineed to start from scratch ?

Open the Users folder on the internal drive, drag all of the other home folders to the desktop, and then move the files inside to the desired locations.

  • Multiple devices, best to have one account or two?

    Hi
I have an iphone 5, ipad 4, ipad mini and an iPhone 4. I use the iphone 4 as a phone for my self employed work so it has to have separate contacts etc. the other three are for personal use so I don't mind them all being on one account. Is it best to set the "work" phone up on a new iTunes account? Or can I configure them in a way that not everything is shared? Such as appointments notifications etc?
    Thanks for any help provided

Maybe you've answered this already and I didn't get it, but I shared an app store/iTunes account with my boyfriend since I owned any I product and we are broken up now but tied together by this account.  We use the account under his Apple ID without realizing the consequences but we both contributed financially quite a large sum of money over the years and now we don't know how to separate the account so that we no longer need to communicate.  It wouldn't be such a big issue separating the financial part but the problem is that people suck and are immature and think changing the password on each other is acceptable when it is in fact not.  I currently have control of the account and password out of necessity but it is not how I want things. Maybe you can tell that I'm talking about the other party when I talk about the password changer and childish tantrum thrower.  Let's call him "John Doe". I'm not perfect either granted, not that that has anything to do with this. The point is this...Just be warned people that there are consequences for opening a joint iTunes account under one person's personal Apple ID.  8 to 10 years ago though, did anyone really know this stuff? Especially us tech challenged who are basically poking at things with sticks. We totally poked the wrong thing.  Does anyone know how we can separate this and ourselves peacefully and without losing anything? Personally it seems to me that Apple should be able to duplicate an account and allow one person to open it under their own ID in such a case but so far that doesn't seem to be possible.

  • Merging accounts and devices on one account?

Hi, I have two itunes accounts and they work fine, but with Icloud I want to all be on one account. Is that possible to do that? Also, I take it that I can download music to all 7 of my family's devices on two computers but only using 1 account, is that a fact? Thanks for heling

Each account is separate. You cannot combine the accounts at this time.

  • HT204053 Is there a limit to the number of devices I can have on one account.  I have all two of my kids ipods, plus, mine, an ipad, and my iphone, and need to add one more.  I do this so that I have control over and can see what they are downloading.

Is there a limit to the number of devices I can have on one account.  I have been putting my kids' ipods on my account so that I can manage their downloads, and control it.  Then I just create playlists for them specifically.  Now, adding another one for my youngest, but have no idea if there are limits.

Well the part about putting songs in the "iTUnes Music" folder I only brought up because it seemed you liked things very organized. You could use iTunes to so all the organizeing. Plus once you add something to the iTUnes library, if you change ANYTHING about it in windows explorer, like its name, change the name of the folder its in or move it to another folder, iTUnes "Looses Track" of it. Its not like other programs that "Watch" files and folders for changes outside its "iTUnes Music" folder
But to have iTUnes auto search, you have to delete a hidden pref file. After doing this, when you open iTUnes again it will throw up a setup wizard, just like its the first time ever installing it. Its in this wizard where you get your ONLY chance to have iTUnes auto search and add files from the system. Just goto the link below and follow Scott P's steps

  • How do I move all files from one user account into another on my Mac?

So I am a new Mac owner (MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9.4) so I don't know about a lot of the tricks and settings I can use yet.
I just used the Migration Assistant last night to transfer files from my old laptop onto my Mac, but I've already been using the Mac for just over a week meaning I have a user account with all my preferences set, music added to iTunes, photos added, bookmarks, etc. The transfer last night created a whole new user account for all of the files from my old laptop, rather than importing them into the account I've been using. Just wondering if there is a quick and easy way to somehow merge these user account into one, or something similar. Hope I explained properly!

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, provide /Users/ as the path, drag one account's home folder to the other's desktop, and move the items inside it to the desired locations.
