Organizing Contact Info from Outlook to iphone

I have outlook and I want to sync the contacts in Outlook to the iphone into two categories. In Outlook you can put contacts into more than one folder. Example: Personal and Business. Is there a way to sync the contacts into the iphone where they are seperated by two folders? Maybe contacts for business and contacts for personal? I have noticed that in itunes under syncing contacts there is an option to sync selected groups but it is never highlighted to choose and if I could choode this option would it put contacts into two different groups? By the way I have seperated contacts in Outlook and after syncing the iphone only the main folder is transfered from Outlook to the iphone.

You can try apps like dropbox.
Or you can import those pics from your Android to your computer, then use iTunes to sync those photos to your iphone.

iCloud is not a backup system and trying to use it as such will not work (as you see) do you have copies of your contacts anywhere else?

The voicemail system used for the iPhone is different from the voicemail system used on the rest of the Verizon Wireless network. When you activate the iPhone, you lose your saved voicemails from the other system. When you activate a non-iphone, you lose any saved voicemails from the iPhone voicemail system too.

To effectively transfer ownership of the iPhone requires that it be "restored" as a new device.

The iPhone is not a backup device. Your computer backs up the iPhone, not the other way around. What you use to back up your computer is up to you - Macs use Time Machine. I assume PCs use something similar.
If her PC backup is dead you will have difficulty extracting content from the iPhone since it is not designed to work that way.
All her Apple purchases can easily be transferred to another iPhone. However, her contacts will be gone, as will any music or other contact obtained from sources other than Apple.
There are a number of third party utilities that claim to be able to extract content from an iPhone. See wjosten's procedure here:

If you've been using a mac to sync, then the contacts may be in your Apple Address Book. If so, then connect the iPhone 4s to your mac and in the device settings, indicate that you want the address book to sync with the iphone.

Sync old iPhone 3G to iTunes on your computer. Then connect new iPhone 4S to computer and Restore from Back-Up of the 3G. This command can be found, on Windows you right mouse click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes, on Mac Option click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes.

Important contacts list from Outlook Express

I am struggling to figure out how to import our contacts list from Outlook Express into iTunes so that we can then move them onto our new ipad mini. Whatever step(s) am I missing? Thank you & standing by.......

I can't find any documentation but I want to remember that iTunes doesn't work with outlook express.
if it is an option, you get your contacts on by connecting your device, opening iTUnes, navigating to the 'info' tab (the name did change but basically it's the tab to set up the e-mail, notes, etc that you sync)
If express is an option you'll see it listed as a choice.
If it's not then you can always mail your contacts out of outlook, open that mail on your iPad and save them from there. I had to do it once and I could only figure out how to do it one at a time but there may be a better way.

ICloud Contacts disappear from Outlook

After the ios7 upgrade, my contacts disappear from Outlook. They are still on iCloud and on my iPhone.
I have tried the following:
icloud control panel and unclicking the check box next to contacts and restarting machine and outlook. Does not bring them back.
icloud control panel and exiting icloud panel and then restarting machine and then logging back into icloud and reloading contacts. Brings them back for one session. Once I exit and get back into Outlook the contacts are goine.
repairing icloud control panel (uninstalling and reinstalling) and reloading contacts. Brings them back for one sesson and then disappear again.
Any ideas.

Outlook Express accesses an address book app called Windoze Contacts for contact info, which the iPad supports syncing contacts with. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.

in Itunes, once you connect the iPad, do you see the 'info' tab? Tap that and scroll down and see if outlook is chosen as the place to sync contacts from. If not, check it and sync and see if your contacts move over.
