[OrgChart] Change of position type depending on employees underneath

Hello,
I have a question regarding the OrgChart Add-In.
When importing from Excel all employees are created as Executives / Managers / Positions, depending where they stand in the hierarchy. Is there a way to assign the position "Staff" to employees, who don't have any employees underneath of them?
In Excel, I wrote a VBA-code to determine the number of people serving that special employee. Is this number is 0, I'd like to have this employee imported as a "Staff"
Anyone having a solution? When exporting a sample hierarchy, Visio creates the column "Master_Shape". But it doesn't recognize when reading back (importing that Excel file).

Do you make some changes in the data file after creating the org chart? If so, you need to update the org chart manually.
To reflect changes in the structure of an organization, refresh the chart data or update the org chart manually. Click
Data > External Data > Refresh All.
If new data doesn’t exactly match the data the chart was built with, you might have to move individuals manually.
If you have a new chart, use Visio to compare it with your older chart and tell you what’s changed.
Open either the new      version or the older version of the organization chart.
Click Org Chart      >
Organization Data > Compare. In the
Compare      Organization Data box, find the version you want to compare to.
Under Compare type,      select the situation, depending on which version you’ve opened.
Under Report type,      choose the option that you want.
Click OK.
If you still can’t get the chart updated as you want it, you might have to rebuild the chart.

           My Customer has a Requirement at the Time of Creation and change of Sales Order if the Position Type of Item is ZTA1 and User Status is 'INDL' position type has to be changed to ZTA2.
           I tried that with all Exits in MV45AFZZ the Result is comming perfectly but the VBKD Table is not Being Updated and so the savings are only visible but IN Billing the changes are not applicble.

    It can be the relationship between the "completion rule" in the item category and the "Pos./neg. quantity" field in the copy
    control of the sales documents. It is blocked one way (if you try to change the field in the copy control when the completion rule is blank you get an error message) but it lets you go through when you remove the completion rule with a value already in the field "Pos./neg. quantity".         
    The rules that I mentioned above can be interfering when you make a changes in Requirement type.

  • Change of activity type of operation overview through object dependency

    Hi,
    I am working on variant configuration project and I am using the global object dependencies (procedures) to change the BOM item quantities, Operation standatd values and activity types in super bom and super routings. When I use these dependencies BOM quantities and routing standard values are changed but activity types are not updated.
    If anybody have any idea about this, how to use the dependency to update the activity type? or any prgram error / any OSS note for this?
    We are working on ECC6.0.

    Hi Venkat,
    As you may be having idea of usage of reference characteristics usage in changing the fields because you are already told that you are able to change the Qty field, same like this you need to have the reference char relevant to this field and table .
    Now the activity type comes from the work center. so you need to change actvity type in work center or you have to change the workcenter ( expected workcenter should have your required activity type) by the object dependency. It's looking a bit thoghtful one. Just think in your functionality it will work.

  • How to change HR assignment for BP with employee role in CRM

    Hi,
    we download employees from R3 HR into CRM. By mistake, some duplicates BP were created. we want to change the assignment with the BP employee in CRM and the employee in R3. In other word, to remove the personnel number ID stored in CRM and to add this personnel ID to others BP in CRM.
    For example:
    In CRM,  BP 100 does not have a personnel number assigned to his employee role.
    In CRM, BP 101 (duplicate of BP 100) is assigned to the personnel number 345 from the employee in R3.
    We'd like to assign the personnel number 345 to BP 100 and remove the link with HR in BP 101.
    is it possible?  where is this assignment stored - In R3&HR or in CRM?
    can you guys share your experience on how to resolve this

    Then goto change and change the CC. this will also updates the IT0001.
    If not, You can also change through Org unit.
    Where goto PPos_old> select the org unit> then goto staff assignments> select the required position> and there is a option called goto from top menu> there you can check accoutn assignment>  there you will get diff screen to be displayed--> there select the position if you want to change and select the option maste cost center and change the CC by giving dates, this will also updates the IT0001.

  • HR Change in position via PA40 (Change log not stored)

    Hi ,
    I know that the program RPUAUD00 displays all infotype logs from cluster PCL4.
    But when there is change in position P0001-PLANS through any action type,then this change is neither captured by this program nor by the cluster PCL4.
    Can someone tell me where I can get the previous position of a employee once it has been changed.

    You can look up HRP1001..
    for ex:
    data:
         w_plans type plans,
         w_sobid type sobid.
    move your pernr to w_sobid.
    select plans into w_plans
                 from hrp1001
        where otype = 'S'
          and plvar = '01'
          and rsign = 'A'
          and relat = '008'
          and sobid = w_sobid.
    w_plans will have all the positions held by tshi pernr * in each loop pass.
    endselect.

  • Change of Position in MSS with Process and Forms

    I'm trying to create authorizations for a change of position in Process and Forms, but every time that I choose a new position to the employee I get the error, No authorization, with this details:

    Message no. 5A277
    Diagnosis
    You are not authorized to perform this activity.
    System Response
    The system cancels the activity you have tried to perform.
    Procedure
    If necessary, you can maintain missing authorizations in Customizing. Please remember that both the standard authorizations and the structural authorizations are checked.
    I have managed to change the position and create positions in SAP with t-code PPOME, but in the MSS Portal it doesn't work.
    I use authorization with context ( S_ORIGINCON ) with a FM in the structural profile that returns my objects ( O, S, P ). I also have personnel planning authorization ( PLOG ) for the returned objects.
    Any help to overcome this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,
    We stop using SAP code to manipulate the infotype 0001, and started using our own code throw generic services I guess (Not my part of the project).
    The problem was that in a change of position for a new created position or even for an existing position there was a need for access to the default position OBJID='99999999'. That's why when you give authorization for object OTYPE=' ' and OBJID = ' ' you will not get an error, because it gives authorization for all objects, witch defeats the purpose of security.
    If you debug the functions used by the portal (MSS or ESS) you will see that in some FM on the call stack there is passed a flag that controls wether or not there is a authorization check for that default position.
    Basically ww stop using the SAP code, and started calling this FM (BAPI, etc) ourselves, and them we manipulated that flag so that we could circumvent the error.
    I hope it was clear, sorry if it was not, truth be told it was a long time since I finish that project.

  • Can I change the position of  change bars from left margin to right margin?

    I want to display the change bars in right page margin. If the page is odd page,The change bars position is in left page margin. If the page is even page,The change bars position is in right page margin.

    The global properties for Change bars are found in the Format > Document > Change Bars... menu option (or <esc> o b keyboard shortcut).
    The property that you need to change is Position:
    Depending upon which of the right or left margins is larger, you'll need to set this to "Side Closer to Page Edge" or "Side Farther..." to position the bars to the outside edges of the respective pages. If you have a symmetric layout, then "Closer" places on the left side (of all pages) and "Farther" places on the right.
    However, if you have multiple columns, the change bars will appear between the columns and will shift depending upon which page edge is closer, i.e. the middle columns may be left or right on any given page.

  • How can we change the position of an employe in 0001

                   I would like to change a record (either by copy/change) for infotype 0001 in order to change the position of any employee. Through PA30 when iam trying to do a copy
    i found that the position field is only non-editable mode . Could any one let me know what is the procedure if you want to change the position of the employee.

    To cahnge position proceed in the following way:
    Go to Pa30, select personnel number for whom u want to change position, select infotype 1 and click on "overview" icon.
    In the "List actions" screen u will find one or many actions. Now select one action (where u want to change position) and click on "Copy" icon. Now u will reach "copy actions screen", and postion is field is editable. Change position. U might get this entry deletes a record, press enter. Save ur entries and continue to org. assignment infotype. save org. assignment infotype also.

    Changing by MASS</b>
    There is transaction <b>MASS </b>which can be used to carry out mass changes in the sales order and other objects.
    Mass Maintenance: (Use to change multiple fields in multiple documents at the same time). I have done mass change for customers; and orders should work the same way too.
    1) Try t-code [MASS] and select sales orders & execute
    2) Choose the table or tables for your selection criteria and also for fields you want to change.
    Then execute. (suppose your selection criteria fields are from “sales order header data” table and the field you want to change, is in “item data” table)
    3) Put in the sales documents(21000000, 21000001) you want to change and also the items(10) you want to change. – click on ” choose selection fields” button – From the Pool, move the fields you want to the “select fields” using arrows.
    4)From mass maintenace menu, click on “Enter new field values”
    -click on “sales order item data” tab and choose the field you want to change.
    (for example. I want to change plant for item 10)
    -enter the new value (of the plant to be)
    -click on “Adopt” and execute
    5)In “sales order item data” tab, you see the new value of the plant you entered at the top and the old values of item 10 are below.
    -click on “change field values” button. you see all the old values are changed to new values.
    -save
    Note: it will take some time depending on how many records you have.
    Check: Go to [SM37] and see the status of the job you are running and once finished, export the spool file to a spreadsheet.
    Before you do mass maintenance, go to the particular table in [se16] and get the results. Then do the mass maintenance and compare the results with this one. If they match, then you are good to go.
    Note: If you have any user exits that affect the results, ask them to deactivate the MODCHECKS still you are done with mass maintenance & activate them again.

      the requirement is that the Client want to upload massive data of Change of Positions for particular employees... for this we can create a BDC report . But the problem is when the BDC session is processed only 0000 and 0001 infotypes are getting updated, whereas it should also update 1001 infotype.
       I want call the report RHINTE00 from my BDC. But this report is coming before the session is processed. This report should be called after processing the session. Is it possible through Session method or shall I go for Call transaction.? How to call two transactions ....?

    As per your requirment
    first run the BDC through the session method ,after writing the FM bdc_close_group, u need to execute the session using RSBDCSUB program then  u need to call the report the program 'RHINTE00'.
    if  you want tow run the two transactions use session method.
    an if you use call transaction method decleare the internal table for error messaes ,use download the err or message in to presentation server then use submit statement and run the program .

  • Change of Position

    Hi Experts......
         I created a BDC program to upload mass data through Change of Position action. Here I am able to update 0000 (actions) and 0001 (Org. Assignment) infotypes.The problem is here I want to update OM infotypes also i.e., 1001 ( Relation Ships) infotype by updating 0001 infotype.
      Is it is possible directly or should make any settings for this.

    I want to change a cost element type "4" to "1". But SAP does not allow it because the plan data on the cost element.

    HI,
    I'm afraid if dependent data (actual and/or planning data) exist for cost element for the fiscal year, then there is no way to change the category type until the next fiscal year.  This is to prevent inconsistency in the data for a given fiscal year.  When posting the first transaction data (plan or actual posting), a year dependent entry is created in a control table for the cost element. You can only change the category if NO transaction data exist for the relevant year or if all the transaction data for this cost element/year
    is deleted.
    An option is to create a new analysis period (KA02 -> Basic Screen -> Edit -> Analysis Period) and specify the new cost element category. The new analysis period can only be specified in yearly intervals.

    i have two parameter in my selection screen. one is employee number (pernr) and second is action type(massn). i want that once i enter employee number and action type. it will get updated in PA0000 infotype.
    i am using FM 'HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA'.

    Doing an SU53 on the screen will show you what Authorization is missing on your Profile.
    However, I might add that an Action doesn't end in Infotype 0000. More often than not it is followed by changes to other infotypes via Dynamic Actions/Infogroup etc. I would rather delete the action & create a new action, instead of changing it.
