Orientation of screen saver images

Hi, my iPhotos has started doing strange things... when the screen saver kicks in some of the images are not orientated correctly..portrait format appears as landscape, it never used to do this, any suggestions on a cure?
I've got over two thousand images on it and the thought of having to sift through all of them is terrifying.

After updating my iPad, the screen orientation will not stay on horizontal . It was working fine before the update. Any suggestions?

Some have reported success by going into the settings and 'reset all settings'
You will need to retweak your device because it puts everything back to factory defaults.

Photo orientation in screen saver mode

Why are my vertical photos displayed horizontally when shown as part of my screen saver? They are displayed correctly in i-photo but the same photo comes up incorrectly horizontal when shown in screen saver mode.

In the screen saver preference panel if you selected them from (Choose Folder / Pictures / iPhoto Library / Originals) then you have selected the original files as there were downloaded from the source (camera, cd, web what ever). Go to iPhoto and create a New Album and drag the photos you want to use for the screensaver to it, then from the screensaver preference panel scroll down and select that album.

ad 3) Try recording command-alt-J instead of command-J, that should provide the »Toggle dialog on/off«-field in the Actions Panel.

If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Feature request - Accelerometer for screen orientation - Is it possible?

I use a TM2t, and I find that using the external button to rotate the screen is annoying and sluggish on my 1.3ghz system. I tried to change the order in which the screen rotates, but no matter how I change those settings, it still turns the screen clockwise, 90 degrees at a time (sometimes twice even though I pressed the button only once).
My system already has an accelerometer built into the hard drive. Can the operating system read accelerometer data, or is it only available to the hard drive? I'd love it if the tablet could tell which way to orient the screen so I'd only have to press that button once.
Also, it would be possible to add a nifty pseudo-3d background to the Touchsmart user interface That's my two cents

Sorry but no. ARD does not transfer sound, only the screen. I don't know of any screen-sharing solution for a Mac that transfers audio, though it's possible there's something out there that I've not come across yet.

Ipad mini did update and now screen rotation is locked.. can this be fixed ?

I did and update for ipad mini and now the screen rotation is locked. I am seeing other posts about this update and am afraid this will be step one in more issues. Afraid to do the upgrade on my mac. Last time I had to take it in to the genius bar to have them fix it. Whaat? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks/

Xmonad with xinerama: screen order is messed up.

xmonad seems not to detect the order of my screens properly.
With nvidia-settings, i have configured the second screen to be 'right of'
my main screen. The main screen still shows the boot messages.
However, as soon as i log in, the focus goes to the second screen.
Also, mod-w refers to the second screen, whereas mod-e refers to the
main screen. It seems like, xmonad just confuses them both and
recognizes them in opposite order. The mouse however mouse as
expected to the right screen.
Searching the internet, i found that i can remap the keys to refer to
my screens properly. And for sure, there is a way to configure the
screen which has the focus on login. However i would rather like to
understand what the problem is and fix it, then fiddeling with the
symptoms.
The second is connected via VGA, just in case, that makes a difference.

The problem is not Xmonad---it solves the issue by having the "PhysicalScreens" module. The PhysicalScreens module fixes precisely the issue you're having.
Fixing this on a "grander" scale requires modifying the X extensions themselves (Xinerama and/or RandR). It it not a bug that those extensions report the physical displays in an odd order.
The window manager must orient the screens how it sees fit; PhysicalScreens does just that.

Use the xmonad-contrib API docs for an example of how to use PhysicalScreens.
You can only get so far with configuring Xmonad without learning some Haskell. It's a huge upfront cost, I know, but you otherwise end up copying & pasting.

I need more information.
If this is an imac, then unplug everything from the back of the imac, and place the imac, face down on a towel so you can read the data from the foot pedestal of the machine.
I have mine oriented screen side up for repairs. But, you need to orient your screen down so that you can observe and write down for us, the string of information found at or near the bottom where you see barcode information. In my instance, I see the following data:
iMac 20/2.16/256VRAM/2x1GB/250/SD/KM

Key in the serial number and the lookup will tell you exactly how your imac/ macbook, where it was made, when it was made, the exact model number and how it was configured when it shipped out from the factory. This will give me and others a clue as to what imac hardware that is experiencing a problem. The 2nd piece of information that is needed is what version of the Mac OSX that you are running. are you running 10.5 (leopard) ? OSX 10.6 (snow leopard)? OSX 10.7 (lion)?
Otherwise, we are just guessing in the dark.

After upgrade to IOS 4 screen rotation doesn't work.

I just upgraded my iPhone 3Gs to IOS 4 and the screen doesn't rotate with any apps when I turn the iphone 90 degrees to the horizontal. Any fixes anyone knows of? Thanks

Update on my particular issue:
When I open an app that responds to screen rotation (photos, safari), hold my phone on its side and then shake up down very hard, then the screen will rotate. If I tip it back up into portrait orientation the screen still doesn't rotate. But if I shake the phone hard in that orientation, the screen will rotate.
So maybe I've got hardware issues.

Hello these are the following issues I keep experiencing with my iphone 5:
1) Camera elements/options all upside down and do not change when tilting screen
2) Games are played upside down
3) Orientation of screen does not change to landscape when tilting
4) message 'undo typing' constantly comes on when typing in any app
Please keep in mind I have taken orientation lock off

I never dropped mine either and its relatively new as well. I am going to to the apple store tomorrow to see what they can do. I heard from someone else it may be an internal hardware problem.

Not all apps and screens have a landscape mode. The Home screen does not have a landscape mode.
