Origin of Data

Hello Gurus,
I just started learning SD and have some doubts on data determination and  I would like your help to clarify on.
Please confirm (as i don't have a system now to test):
1. Shipping point is not determined during Sales order creation but in DO creation screen.
2. Although delivering plant field can be entered manually in Sales order, if its not auto-derived (from the various master data), then even if manually entered, the order cannot be allowed to be saved.
3. Plant is derived in Sales Order. When this happens, is there a way to tell exactly which of the 3 Master data provided this info given that customer-material, customer (ship-to)  and material master data all can be used to propose.
Best
Alfonso

Hello Alfonso,
1. Shipping point is not determined during Sales order creation but in DO creation screen.
No the shipping point gets determined during sales order creation.
2. Although delivering plant field can be entered manually in Sales order, if its not auto-derived (from the various master data), then even if manually entered, the order cannot be allowed to be saved.
Yes it can save but it has to be assigned to the same company code in img.
3. Plant is derived in Sales Order. When this happens, is there a way to tell exactly which of the 3 Master data provided this info given that customer-material, customer (ship-to) and material master data all can be used to propose.
You have to physically check the same in the order at the header level where was it entered. It works on priority rule customer info 1st then ship to party and then in material master sales org 2 tab.
Thanks

  • How do i find out my iPhone's original purchase date?

I bought it used from eBay and don't know when the owner bought it. It has warranty util July 21 and i want to extend it, so i want to buy AppleCare. One AppleCare it says it will extend the warranty for two year since the original purchase date. So how do i find out if i can buy AppleCare for my iPhone or not and how long would it cover my iPhone for?

You don't need to know the original purchase date (though it will be one year prior to the date of warranty expiration). You have until July 21st, the day when the warranty expires, to purchase and register an AppleCare plan, presuming you can still find the original plan. Apple no longer sells that plan; they sell only AppleCare+ which has to be purchased at or within 30 days of the original purchase. But some dealers still have the retail AppleCare for iPhone package available.
If you can find and register the original AppleCare, it will be in effect until July 20th, 2013.

I have made a burn folder with photos exported from I-photo.  It now shows in information, that the date  created and modified is different from the original digitized date.  How can I get the original date to show in the info from Finder?

The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

  • IPhoto changes the original creation date to 12/31/1969

Hi folks, this is a problem I have been trying to resolve for a very long time.
I have a large collection of pictures that I took with a Palm Zire 71 and Zire 72 going back to 2003. Every time I import the files with iPhoto (File > Import to Library), iPhoto changes the original creation dates of the jpgs to 12/31/1969. I have tried many different things... most recently I burned the files to a CD, confirmed that the original creation dates were still in tact, and tried importing with iPhoto right from the CD. I got the same result... all photos with the date 12/31/1969. All photos completely disorganized because of Palm's less than great file naming structure. I need to keep the creation dates intact for the iPhoto books I want to make with them, so changing the file names won't work as a solution. Even changing the files names to the creation dates plus a counter would be very difficult because it is over 1500 pictures. Does anyone else know of this problem and perhaps have a solution for it? Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion TD. But the Batch doesn't help in this case because so many of the photos were created on different days. I would still have to manually go into each of the creation dates and change them back to the original.
That's just not feasible for 1500 files. iPhoto shouldn't be stripping the files of the creation dates at import to begin with. I'm hoping to find a way to get the import process to work properly for these files. The weird thing is that iPhoto doesn't seem to do this to files create on a more typical point and shoot camera,
but only on these Palm files.

  • Exporting original creation dates with images from IPhoto 08

Hello experts: I'm trying to create an archival, file-based image storage structure outside of iPhoto 08 (7.1.5). When I use File/Export to add images to the archival file in the Finder, the resulting image is fine but the original creation date of the image is lost, being changed to a different, and later, date. I've tried ways of moving the image, including dragging, cut and paste, transferring the image to Aperture 2 and exporting, etc. and there's no joy. Any suggestions other than manual redos with A Better Finder Rename 8?
    Sierra!Hiker

Why do you think that the date is lost?
I suspect that you are confusing photos dates (stored in the EXIF data of the photo and viewable by photo programs) with the file dates which are viewable in file programs like the finder - the finder does not look at photo dates (EXIF) and photo programs do not look at the file date unless there is no EXIF data - the the file date is used by iPhoto

  • Reg:-ORIGINAL PROMISE DATE OF PO

    Hi all,
We have bulit a report on Purchase Order Receipts. In that we are having three columns i.e. Current Promise Date, Need by Date, Original Promise Date.
NOW – the problem is that the ORIGINAL PROMISE date is not accurate when there is multiple shipments for a PO Line.It is pulling the original promise date from shipment #1 in all cases instead of taking it from the correct shipment number.
EXAMPLES WHERE PO LINE HAS MULTIPLE SHIPMENTS:
    PO 100004
    LINE – 1
    SHIPMENT – 6
Report is showing Original Promise Date as 10/11/2011, but in Oracle the Original Promise is 12/21/11 (IT IS PULLING THE ORIGINAL PROMISE DATE FROM SHIPMENT #1)
and same is the case for shipments 5,6,7,8 are incorrect as well.
In the source Extract we are using this query to pull Original Promise Date:
    SELECT PO_LINE_ID,PROMISED_DATE AS ORIGINAL_PROMISED_DATE
    FROM
SELECT LINE_LOCATION_ID,PO_LINE_ID,PROMISED_DATE,LAST_UPDATE_DATE,REVISION_NUM,ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY PO_LINE_ID ORDER BY REVISION_NUM ASC) RN
    FROM APPS.PO_LINE_LOCATIONS_ARCHIVE_ALL
    ) ORIG_PROMIS_DATE WHERE RN=1) ORIGIN_PROMISED_DT
Please let me know whether the logic we are using is correct or not.
    Thanx in advance.

You should do a "PARTITION BY line_location_id" ; not po_line_id.
If you do it by po_line_id, it is giving one record for each line even if you have multiple shipments.
You need one record for each shipment.

  • Restoring Original Track Data

I recently edited the details of a large number of tracks and I want to restore the original data I.e. Artists Name instead of Various Artists as I had changed it to. I thought if I deleted the tracks from ITunes and re imported them this would restore the original track data but it doesn't seemed to have work. I also tried changing the location of the folder I was importing from to see if this would make any difference but it seems wherever I import these tracks from they retain the changed information and not the original...
    Anybody able to help???

It depends whether or not you have iTunes organise the files too. If so it will have renamed the files to match the new information, otherwise you can use a tagging tool to reset the tag from the file properties such as filename (Track No./Name), folder name (Album), parent folder name (Artist).

    Hi Raj,
Thanks for the information, the shred information seems to be good.
Well the issue is there is a PERNR who was hired in the month of FEB and as per his joining bonus he was getting 35000k
But the negotiation was on and finally the Mgmt decided to make it 50,000.Now the changes has to be done without running the Change is pay,but has to be changed through PA40,but the changes are overwriting the previous record and new record comes into the system, but how to check the old data then, which is required for future purpose.
Please put some light on the following-The date of origin is by default the last date of the payroll period according to the control record. However you can overwrite it and also put in a PP # and year in which you want that entry to be processed.
I am in testing phase and the payroll is not been run,the contropll record is set monthly say-01.04.2010-30-04-2010- 1st payroll period. On the above how to go about 0015.
    please share your knowledge.,
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Display original clip date-time

I'm using FCPX 10.0 to mount a video whish must display the original clip date-time.
I have found a timecode generator, a free TimeDate generators by RippleTraining but no one to simply print the *original* clip date time, as well as I can see on my Video-Cam simply pressing a button. I need to show that date-time (as Fri, April 14th 2014 - 11:19:59 a.m.) changing in real time, exacly as in a video-surveillance movie, because of legal reasons.
    Any idea?

You can have a custom table where u can store date-time of search, and can track, accordingly by order by clause to get the last search date-time.

  • How do I extract original photo date when importing photos?

    Hi,
I am trying to import photos from a backup CD of pictures that I created in August. However, when I import them into iPhoto, the date that gets associated with the photo is the August date of the CD creation instead of the original photo date.
I can see the original date of the photo image file, and I want that to be the date that iPhoto uses to organize the photos.
Is there any preference I can set to extract the date information from the image data itself and NOT from the date stamp on the CD file?
    Thanks!

Please don't take the following as a flame...
<quote>The move option is grayed out when importing from a card to save you from yourself. At least that's what I've always assumed.</quote>
That's a bit draconian don't you think? Why have the option greyed out if you don't want the user to be able to do this. It's kind of like saying hahah, this is possible to do, but, you, the user, are a moron. Why even place the option on the page in the first place.
<quote>It just happens to be a bug that few on this forum care to see fixed because most of us feel that using it is unwise due to the danger of lost images and corrupted cards.</quote>
Again, why put it on page as an option if it weren't intended to be enabled in a plist somewhere for those who wish to be 'unwise.'
My logic is as follows: If Apple provides software that is more accessible to the 'unwashed masses' (because it's included with Leopard ie. Image Capture) and it deletes images directly from the camera, then why would a professional package (Aperture) limit the so called 'professional' from designing and using his/her own workflow governed by their own experience. Which could include first a backup to dvd or other device of your choice (keyword here: CHOICE) THEN import images and delete directly from the camera. Logically this is completely BACKWARDS, the app available to the 'masses'(Image Capture) should NOT let the user delete images directly from the camera and the 'professional' app (Aperture) should allow more flexibility for the advanced user who understands the implications of his/her work flow and adjusts accordingly.
Besides, And I quote myself "I have searched the forums here and have only seen people offer advice why this is not good. Not to be an A##, but I don't want advice. I need an answer to my question. How do I enable this functionality?"
Therefore, respectfully, your answer is: non sequitur.

  • PO order acknowledgement, original conformation date

    Hi folks,
We have an interface where we receive ORDER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DATE, ORIGINAL CONFORMATION DATE from vendors.
Can you please let me know which FIELDS in EKKO/EKPO tables these correspond to.
    Sincerely,
    Sanjay

    Sanjay,
Many people who receive confirmations from vendors don't put the confirmations in the header or item tables, they create a confirmation key, and then enter the confirmations as 'confirmations'.
You can configure a confirmation key in OMGZ.
Then,  the confirmation would usually be entered in table EKES.  Depending on the meaning of the data that your vendor is sending you (you should get a data definition from your Vendor's EDI contact), you would probably enter
    ORDER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DATE into EKES-ERDAT
    ORIGINAL CONFIRMATION DATE into EKES-EINDT
You will also notice many other fields available in EKES to enter bits of info that are commonly sent by many vendors.
The confirmation can be made relevant to MRP (rather than the item schedules) if you wish.

  • Original GI date should display closest day when Saturday and Sunday comes

    Hi Guys,
I am getting Original GI Date as After deducting Transit time from Original Delivery Date.
But i want to fullfill  the below requiremnt also.
the Original GI Date should be then the working day defined in the calendar of the shipping point. Thus if the calculation gives  Original GI Date to be Sunday 4.3.2012 then it should changed to the closest previous working date which is Friday 2.3.2012 (calendar 'YT').
Any one help me how to execute the above requiremnt.
    regards
    reddy.

    Hi,
Pass your GI date to below given FM, it will return you the day of the week.
    CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_COMPUTE_DAY'
    EXPORTING
    DATE = GI_DATE
    IMPORTING
    DAY = day_of_week_num
    EXCEPTIONS
    OTHERS = 8.
the value returned by this FM in day_of_week_num will be between 1 to 7, 1 representing Monday and 6 = Saturday and 7 = sunday.
Now if your working days are from monday to friday then simply check the value returned by this FM is it is 6 then you can subtract 1 for last friday or add 2 for next monday and in the same fashion if value returned is 7 then subtract 2 for last friday and add 1 for next monday in GI date.
For adding and subtracting value from GI date you can use FM RP_CALC_DATE_IN_INTERVAL.  And if you need to check some settings related to Factory calander then you can use FM DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE.

    Durgesh.

  • On Time Delivery Reporting - Capturing original promise date to customers?

We have a business metric that we use to track how well we do based on what we told our customers the delivery date was versus when we actually delivered the product(s).  However, because of rescheduling, usually this original date that was "promised" is "lost" because of the new delivery date that is proposed.  Therefore, we are unable to report on what we originally told the customer.
Does anybody have any suggestions or experience in this area? How do you report on how well you do in terms of delivering to your customers? How do you measure your "on time" delivery?
    Thank you, Paul

you will not be in a position to track this data unless & otherwise you had recorded the schedule line details on a timely basis.
Say for an example, if you are scheduling the V_V2 or rescheduling option.
You go for a ztable where u have the VBBE/VBEP table details recorded seperately or you can save the details of this output on a local system (ideally we can have this data collected just before the run of V_V2 or rescheduling) and this can be used for evaluation / comparison on the original proposed date at the order level and the actual GI date recorded at the delivery level.

  • How do I keep the original creation date showing? The date seems to change when I edit.

I don't know if there is a setting somewhere to maintain the original creation date when a document is edited. What is happening is that when I edit a document, even if it was created months ago, the creation date is often changed (though strangely not always). I know most settings are document specific, so perhaps I have unwittingly unchecked a setting on the ones that changed. I should note that previous version are being maintained through my back up and do show up in the list when I select Revert to from the File menu. But the creation date shows the date of the most recent edit on those files.
I use a MacBook Pro and an iPad to create and edit documents and am using the most recent version on both.
    Thanks, in advance.
    Shel

"actual original creation date must have been changed. I don't believe there is anything to fix it"
You can change the creation date using Terminal application:
    touch -t YYYYmmDDhhSS /path/to/file
    IE:
    touch -t 200001010101 ~/Untitled\ 2013-10-11\ at\ 8.15.04\ PM.png
This produces (from the screenshot I just took):
To change the modification date only, it would be touch -mt ....etc
As to why this is occuring, what is the creation date showing....//1969?
