Add cost centre name field or description in line item reports

Dear all,
How can the cost centre name or description be added in a report's lines (i.e. FBL1N). These fields (columns) are not included in the reports and need to add them. I have tried through special fields to include them but the table CSKSZ and fields KTEXT (Cost Centre name) and LTEXT (Cost centre description) are not included.

You must use business transaction event 1650 for adding special field to FBL*N reports.

I tried and found a BAPI which will give all the costs involved in the order but i want to know the exact Field Name and Table from which it comes.

Is there a way to rename multiple form field names with a "b" at the end?

I have a two page form, both are identical. I need to rename all the field names on page 2 with a "b" at the end of the file name so they dont conflict with that of the first page. Is there any fast way of doing this without renaming each individual one at at time? I have a LOT to do!

It's not possible with JavaScript. The name property of a field is read-only.
I would suggest making a template from the first page and then spawn a new page from it.
If you do it from a script make sure you set the bRename property to true and the form fields will be automatically renamed, but you can't specify the name, it will be in following pattern:
P<Page Number>.<Template Name>.<Original Field Name>

Field name lengths

The field name lengths in the Citadel database are approaching 80 characters when Citadel adds the total path to each field. I am saving data from a process running on computer #1 to computer #2. I am using OPC and to select the analog input values require an extremely long length to the field names.
i.e.
"\\Dispatchbd1\Freq_Process\FreqOPC.'OPC DAQ Items'.'Analog Input'.'PHS Narrow Freq'" is just one of my field names. When you have 75 values in a database that you want to look at this long name gets discouraging. Any help would be appreciated.

You are right the names are a bit long. Citadel stores the absolute names (includes computer and process name), to make sure the names are unique. For example if process1 and process2 have both Pot1 and you are storing the data to the same database, unless you log it with a process name and computer name you would get a conflict - (if there is just Pot1 you would not know from which process).
So, the computer and process parts are always there. The Item name has to be also included, but you have more choise there. The member ('OPC DAQ Items'.'Analog Input'.''PHS Narrow Freq') can be aliased to anything you want (and is valid). Go to the Edit database - select the item in the second window - select the datatype - type in alias (for example item1) - check the log to
historical database and hit save (you are going to get a warning - don't worry about it, just make sure the alias (item1) you typed is is not already an existing item - because of the folder structure exposed by DAQ OPC you'll be fine).
Now instaed of using "\\Dispatchbd1\Freq_Process\FreqOPC.'OPC DAQ Items'.'Analog Input'.'PHS Narrow Freq'" you can go with "\\Dispatchbd1\Freq_Process\FreqOPC.item1" - you can stop loggin the original member.
If you need to go even shorter, you can create an expression object for every member you want to log and then log the expression. Then you get to something like:
"\\Dispatchbd1\Freq_Process\Exp1"

In sets (t-code GS01-04): How to change Field name

HI,
I have created sets for rule in validation by t-code GS01. Where I have given Tbale name BSEG and Field name KOSTL(Cost Center No). Now, I want to change field name SAKNR (GL NO) instead of cost center. When I am trying to change field name t-code GS02, there is field name is in display mode and no way to change it.
As I have lot of entries in each set, so that creation of new sets is very hard job again. Further when I trying to create new sets by reference it didnt change the table name and field name.
Please provide me a solution.

Hope it is not possible, logically total field is changing and the dependent entrie will not stay as it is. I don't think this is possible.
Eventhough the values are same but the fields are different.

Field name of free item in ME21N

Hi All,
I have a small issue hear in ME21N I wan the table and the field which will be updated when the we check the check box for free item in the line items, I tried to find that using CDHDR, CDPOS, using ST05 and other methods but I was unable to do that can any of u please help me in finding that field along with table mane which will be updated and to give further information the screen field name is UMSON

Hello Antony,
The 'Free Item' indicator is only used to facilitate the switching off of the 'Inv.Receipt' flag.
The flag UMSON is not contained in any table, only in structures.
But there is a correlation between the flag UMSON and the field EKPO-REPOS. So if you flag field EKPO-REPOS (an invoice is expected) the flag UMSON will be cleared and the other way around.
For further information about this flag: You will not be able to enter any conditions in your purchase order item (not even the delivery costs) once the flag for 'Free item' has been set.
In case the 'Inv.Receipt' flag is unticked, the system will not allow you to maintain any conditions in the purchase order, not even the delivery costs. In ME21N you can see that even the condition tab disappears as soon as you set the 'Free item' indicator or as soon as you de-select the 'Inv.Receipt' flag.
Whenever the 'Inv.Receipt' flag is not set, we are indicating to the system that all the goods are to be delivered free of charge. In other words, there can be no delivery costs associated with the PO. Also, no delivery costs are allowed without an invoice receipt.

Document change/display - Profit Center / Cost center name

Hi,
We have a requirement where client wants to display the profit center and cost center names (short or long) when displaying or changing a parked or a posted document. As we all know SAP shows only the profit center and cost center code and not the description during the document display. After all the deliberations, this seems to be an important piece of information while posting a parked document or even viewing it as a posted document.
What are our options?
Any help is much appreciated.

Profit center / cost center naming is following a different convention and we are in a roll out phase, therefore we can't think of first item.
About match code, the requirement is not so much during the posting but primarily while releasing the parked document or viewing the parked / posted document - they want to see the description along side profit / cost center.
I was looking for clues on any utilities / enhancements / BTE that I may use to bring extra fields during document display.

Field name not known   in old existing report.

We have a report that we have used for a long time and has always been fine. Today when we open it it says data will be lost because "Field name not known".   So you click ok and look at the report in design and the report is missing a bunch of fields. You look at the Field Explorer and it only shows the first field in the table. This report links 2 tables. The linking field is the first field in both tables.
I try to re-map datasource and no luck.   I close Crystal, open Crystal and create a new report, look at the same tables and all of the fields are there. Create similar report looking at same datasource, same tables, some of the same fields, and it works fine.
What is wrong with the original report and why won't it connect or show fields?

It may be that the report file became corrupted. Do you have a back up of that report anywhere? If not you could create a new report using the same tables and links and then have both new and old reports open and copy objects from the old report to the new report. Save it and then verify it all works as it should and replace the old report with then new report. Copy the old report somewhere safe also.

Dynamic form... field names and values...

Boy-Howdy. I wish I had the opportunity to stop by this forum and hang out at a time when I am not having issue, but, alas... I appreciate the brain power of the great minds that populate this forum.
I have an issue: I think I am close on this but cannot identify where my syntax is going awry. Here is a simplified edition of my situation.
I have a form with a set of dropdown menus that filter a recordset. The group of drop downs are dynamic from a database and will vary depending on what category of products a visitor is viewing.
If I browse to FRUIT: I get three options that let me filter for:
Fruit Type
- Apples
- Bananas
- Pears
Fruit Grown By:
- Organic
- Any
Fruit From:
- Domestic
- South America
- European
However, if I browse to LUMBER I get:
Wood Type:
- Pine
- Walnut
- Oak
Wood Prep:
- Pre Cut
- RAW Timber
Wood Origin:
- North America
- South America
- Europe
I have the variable naming and database values worked out. My only issue is when I browse to friuit and select apples I want apples to remain selected as I page through results.
So, the dropdown field names are dynamic. Currently set to zgen1, zgen2, zgen3. I set a variable named sr and increment it to build the progressive 1,2,3 after the field name zgen.

But when zgen1 has a value (in this case "Apples") I can't figure out how to dynamically test for the presence of a value for each dropdown. I have dynamically created the field names (cfset xvalue="FORM.zgen#variables.sr#") to test against. However this creates a value of FORM.zgen1, FORM.zgen2, FORM.zgen3 as it loops when I want it to be Apples, Organic, Domestic.
Example:
The code:

which is translating to:

Three selects related type code was not the way to go - because I need each filter to be independent. I created a custom tag that argues the state for each separately up to ten filters.

then try help.sap.com, click 'search documentation',
option 'netweaver' and type in the datasource, and go, after the result come out, click 'datasource' in right side, and click the datasource name in left side,

After changing the field name in BM layer, drilldown field is not in order

We have an organization hierarchy region->branch used in our HBD dashboard report. When we drilldown to branch level report by clicking the region field, the result is OK but branch field is not in order. The branch level order was working fine before we changed this BRANCH field name in BM layer from Team/Branch to Branch.

I have confirmed that I know the user who originally posted this to Metalink. This issue is no longer a problem. Rebooting resulted in the order displaying properly.
