Original Date for creation of picture?

While working with JPEGs, I Just noticed that when I check "show photo info" the original date is formatted [MM DD], eg. [7 19] meaning June 19th. But it does not include the year! Iphoto seems to know what year though, as it can keep the events in order. Where is this year info hidden and how do I display it?

It's stored in the Exif metadata, and to display it use an app that understands Exif. The Finder doesn't understand that. iPhoto, as you notice, does.

Migration assistant and dates of creation

I have used migration assistant to transfer my files from a windows pc to a new mac book pro retina.
The transfer completed well, but the issue is that the original dates for creation, modification and last opening of my files are not the real ones, but instead of this, they corresponds to date and time of transfer. Because this is confusing a lot, does anyone knows who to fix it?

Are you sure its not shown? It should have a yellow or green icon, and list the name of the system and HD that was backed-up, not the one it's on.
If not, try to repair the backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

IPhoto - date of creation

Why do my iPhotos lose their 'date of creation' when I label them in iPhoto then export them to a special folder for burning within my 'Photographs' folder ?
In the new folder, when I click file>get info, the 'Date created' and 'date modified' are always both given as the date on which the photos were modified.
I have tried various 'preferences' but cannot find one for preserving the original 'date of creation'.

Hello! I don't think you can as the "image" is new
since you exported it as a new copy of the original
image. Unless you can use the file name or album name
info to preserve the date you probably can't do what

Thanks for your very helpful reply. I have the month-date on all my folders which works as far as it goes. However I have found that I can still get the actual 'date of creation' if I re-import the image from the CD to the 'iPhoto' programme. This seems to be the case even when the originals are apparently not still in the computer....

When I open up "originals" in my iPhoto library, the dates are not there or are incorrect. I see date created and date modified, not the original date the picture was taken. How can I find the accurate original dates?

I have had a lot of issues with my iPhoto program. After many trips to the Genius Bar and numerous hours with phone techs, I am now rebuilding my library, starting with a backup of it from before the corruption. When I "get info" of a picture, I notice the original date the picture was taken (most important for me), is not there or is wrong. When I check package contents of my iPhoto library, the originals show up, but most (not all) of the dates are wrong. Can anyone tell me how or where I might find the original dates?

I did post to the iPhoto forum and am hoping for an answer soon. I don't want to continue rebuilding my iphoto library if I can do it using originals. My library has 45,000 pictures...a huge job!

Sorting pictures by original date

I have had to move my pictures several times due to changing computers. My pictures now have dates when they were moved. Is there any way to sort using the original picture (file) date? If so, how do I set the parameters of the sort? Thanks.

This picture was taken January 12, 2000. It shows in properties that it was created Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 5:45:43 PM and modified Saturday, November 21, 2009, 1:51:08 PM. I don't know how to find the original date of the file, that would be 1/12/2000. That is how I want to be able to sort all of my pictures--by the original date of the file.

Can you get file creation dates for Nomad II .NVF fil

I have an old Nomad II MG that has several voice recordings of my daughter over the last 4 years, but I don't know the dates they were recorded.
Is there a way to get the actual date of the recording from the Nomad device? All I seem to end up with is the current date when I upload it into Windows.

Newbie to SharePoint, learn quite a lot from the links you provided.
“I found out that the original dates are only available in SharePoint if the explorerview has been used”, this would make sense because the original creation time is generated
by the file system in the local machine.
However, when a file is uploaded to SharePoint library, it will be stored as binary data in the database, as well as the newly created time. It means that it will be a “new” file
in the SharePoint site regardless of where it comes from.
Per my knowledge, the only way I can suggest is that you will need to create a client desktop application for the file uploading, which will be a more general way not only for
uploading a file, but also when we need to migrate files between different systems.

Data folder can not be opened in finding " AirPort Time Capsule " The operation can not be completed because the original item for " data" does not exist .

I have a " AirPort Time Capsule " (firmware 7.7.3) When I try to open the data folder in "finder". Then I got the message " The operation can not be completed because the original item for " data" does not exist". I have a lot of data and I can understand why I get this message?

Get a USB drive of 2TB or more.. assuming your TC is 2TB. Either preformatted Mac or plug into your Mac and format it standard Mac OS Extended Journaled in disk utility.
Do a full archive of the TC. You do this using airport utility. Do not click the erase disk.. I marked in green.. just the archive.. that is to backup the internal disk to the USB disk. It is not fast.. take it that the process will go at around 40-50GB/hr.
Once you complete the archive .. it is a direct image of the data on your TC.. you can then plug it into your computer directly.. and then try and open the files you lost.. if you cannot open them.. open disk utility and fix the permissions.

It is possible to fix things on the USB drive because it is locally mounted.. but you cannot fix it on TC which is network drive.

I am working on once Incident for Re-Scheduling Program V_V2 where the user has requested us to change the criteria for determining the priority of Sales Document based on Sort Item by date of creation. Currently they are using the Sort by delivery date of earliest schedule line in the Variant.
I would like to know the role these both options play in the Re-Scheduling program V_V2. I would like to know the impact of both of them and the kind of testing I need to perform to study the behaviour of Sales Orders especially when the material is out of stock?
Please explain with help of examples.

This is not that simple that an example would explain how this transaction works but I'll give you some examples.
Material A has SO1 and SO2 of 10KG each, stock is 20KG so both quantities are confirmed at today. A stock recount determines a reduction to 5KG. This program would change confirmed quantity of SO1 to 5KG and SO2 to 0KG if:
Creation date of SO1 is older then SO2 in strategy 1
1st delivery date of SO1 is smaller then SO2 in strategy 2
Material B has SO1 and SO2 with 10KG each but no quantity confirmed, stock is 0KG. A prodution adds 15KG to stock. The program would change confirmed quantities of SO1 to 10KG and SO2 to 5KG if:
Creation date of SO1 is older then SO2 in strategy 1
1st delivery date of SO1 is smaller then SO2 in strategy 2
I'm assuming a specific configuration, there are many other scenarios possible.

Sales Order creation/ change date for the items

I have a unique scenario and i need to get a Report for this
A sales order is created for 4 line items.
Out of these , for 2 line items a delivery is created. I need the sales order creation date and time for these 2 items in a custom report
Now the other 2 items go in to some kind of block- Now these are released by going in the sales order VA02 and after releasing the delivery is created. Again for these two items , i need the sales order change date as after a user goes and changes the sales order to remove the block only then delivery is created for these two items
Also another scenario is the 2 line items go for back order and when we get stock at tht time system confirms the stock and then the delivery is created for these. So also for this when this change occured i need to get the date for these 2 line items
Can any one please suggest how to get this data from the scenarios?
I dont want to get the date when the delivery is created as i can get tht from the LIKP table. I need the sales order create and change dates for these.

You may be aware, any changes to a document will be recorded in CDHDR (for header changes) and CDPOS (for item changes). You can explore these two tables.

Error during create CR for MDGC "Enter a relevant role for creation of customer master data"

Hello Experts,
I am unable to create a Customer CR in 'MDG 6.1 Customer UI' , the UI throws an error saying "Enter a relevant role for creation of customer master data".It looks like it is expecting me to mention the BP role ( like FLCU01 Customer or FLCU00 FI Customer ) , but I don't see that BP role section in the Customer UI to mention .
While creating the vendor CR , I am able to enter the BP role ( like FLVN01 vendor or FLVN00 FI Vendor ) in the UI BP Role section.
Following are the UI's for Customer and Vendor
Customers BS_OVP_BP: BS_OVP_CU > OVP: BS_CU_OVP - I do not see BP role section here.
Vendors BS_OVP_BP: BS_OVP_SP > OVP: BS_SP_OVP - This is working fine , I see BP role section here.
Please advice what I am missing here , what should I do for the successful CR creation . Should I change the UI for Customers or do I need to do anything in CVI configuration.

You were right in the first place the UIBB is missing , the UIBB 'Role' was present in the 'Search Customer' page but not available in the 'Create Customer CR' page , so I created the 'Role' UIBB again and was able to create the CR now . Not sure how it got deleted in the first place , is there any options where we reset the UI screen to the default initial configuration
But after approving the CR , only the Business Partner BP is getting created and the Customer is not getting created . Not sure what might be the issue now. Is there any config that tells to automatically create customer when BP is created. I was able to create Vendor using the create Vendor CR before.

Function of HOLD DATA in the settings for creation of a new screen.

Since i'm new to ABAP and still learning my way through, i would really appreciate if somebody can help me out with the exact functioning of selecting the check box 'HOLD DATA' under the settings option while creation of a new screen.

Take simple scenario of SE38. The Screen for the transaction has the Flag "HOLD DATA" as Ticked.
Now enter some program name on the field and Click - Utilities-> User Profile -> Hold data.
Now come out of the transaction, go back to the same transaction. The name of the Program that you entered earlier will appear on the input field.
So if the screen doesn't have "Hold Data" set the functions of HOLD data, SET DATA, DELETE data will not work.
Also try using SET DATA For the Program input field.
SAP Help :
If you activate this option, the following functions are supported for the screen at runtime:
System -> User profile -> Hold data
-> Set data
-> Delete data
The Hold data function allows you to hold onto any entries you have made on the screen. When the screen is next processed (even in a different mode), the system then automatically redisplays the data in the input fields.
If the option is not activated, these functions are ineffective at screen runtime.

Creation and Modification dates for android file system

Hello all, I am working on a project and i noticed a particular scenario where i'm getting an error everytime i try to run the code below on my android device;

Every time i run this on Adobe AIR's Mobile emulator, the correct dates are show up properly(Possibly because the emulator is running on Windows) but when i switch the debug to the device, the statement in the catch block executes. The real error says "Error #3003: File or directory does not exist."
Am i missing something or is this a normal behaviour which i have to find a work around for? The modificationDate and the creationDate are all properties of the FileReference class which i didnt use to instanciate the file object because i wasnt uploading or downloading anything.
Any form of tip will be much appreciated.

I run into the same problem while working on some sort of file synching task.
Trying to read the file.modificationDate or creationDate results in an error: "Error #3003: File or directory does not exist."
I have obeserved that this only happens for files that were packaged with the app (and placed in the File.applicationDirectory).
Files that my app has downloaded and saved to the device (File.applicationStorageDirectory) do have a valid creation date and modification date.
Maybe the File.applicationDirectory has different rights?
Does anybody have a solution or workaround for this?

How to find the creation date for a released requests..

In se09 tcode , we a date which represents the last changed date .. Now , for a particular Released request i want to find out the Creation date for it . How can i find it . I checked the tables like E070create there also we have requests that not released yet , i have also checked se03 and other tcode and a fn mo dules like TR_READ_GLOBAL_INFO_OF_REQUEST .
So how to find the creation date for a released requests. Iam waiting for ur inputs..
