Original Pictures that came with Iphone

OK stuipid question but where can I find the wallpapers that came with my 3g.. When I updates my girlfriend phone to new iOs I switched wallpaper and it is no longer an option. It was a pic that came with the phone. Help anyone?

Restoring your iPhone to factory settings should do this and if restoring from your iPhone's backup doesn't do it, a Restore as a new iPhone or not from the backup should.

  • I want to sell my MBP. How do I completely erase my 2007, 17-inch Macbook Pro that is currently running Snow Leopard. I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL DISK THAT CAME WITH THE BOX ANYMORE.

I want to sell off my old MacBook Pro and do not want any of my old stuff on it for the next person to fool around with. I'd like a clean-slate for the next guy/gal. It's a 17-inch that I purchased back in '07. It is currently running Snow Leopard after I installed it myself about two years ago. I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL DISK THAT CAME WITH THE LAPTOP IN THE BOX.

No problem, stick in your 10.6.3 Snow Leopard retail disk you used to upgrade from 10.4/10.5 with
If you don't have this disk anymore, you can order one online at Apple.com for $29, they don't sell it in the physical stores.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A
Reboot holding the c or option key down to boot from the disk, select Disk Utility from under the Utilities menu on the second screen (first is language selection)
Now select your boot drive on the left with the drive makers name and disk size and click Erase > Security Option > Zero All Data and click Erase
It will take some time to complete as it's making sure all your personal data if not easily recoverable off the drive using software.
Now quit and you will be back in the installer window, install 10.6 and it will reboot to the "Welcome Video" you can choose to press the power button down and do a hard shutdown, the computer will boot again to this video for the next owner.

  • Do I need the original disk that came with a mac or can I just buy the OS software??

Hi I recently bought a used macbook and the seller did not have the original disks that came with the computer. What I was wondering is if I needed to install a new hard drive in the event that mine fails, can I just buy a copy of the OS and install it on the new hard drive or do I need the specific disks that came with the machine??
    Thanks for your help

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You say that you have Mac OS X 10.7.5, so if it came preinstalled, see that you can't reinstall it because it's registered to the old owner. Call Apple to get replacement DVDs
If you want, you can upgrade to Mountain Lion. See if your computer is supported > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs Open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion

  • My hard drive crashed, and I cannot reinstall the original OS that came with my macbook pro?

I bought my macbook pro (mid 2012 version) 10 months ago and it's been working fine up until now (running on Yosemite). When I opened the lid today, a flashing question mark appeared on the screen. I restarted my mac while holding the option key. I tried to do an internet reinstall but I can't get it to work. When I try to reinstall the OS that came with my mac, there are no options for me to click when asked to select a disk.
I have tried following instructions from multiple threads about how to change the disk utility.
Options on the lefthand side: "disk0" and "mac OS X base system". Options on the right: disk0 - first aid, erase, partition, and restore. Mac OS X base system - first aid, erase, restore.
None of the solutions I've found online are working for me. Most of the options in the disk utility menu are greyed out, so I can't click on them.
Sorry for any typos, it is hard to type this all out on my phone. I have tried to upload pictures, but it doesn't seem to be working. I also apologize if this is in the wrong category.

  • Exact Apple part numbers for original Discs that came with late G5 Quad?

If anyone happens to own a G5 Quad made 2006 and you still have the original Software Restore discs that came with it, I'd be much obliged if you would be kind enough to post the exact Apple part number(s) for said discs.
I have a Power Mac G5 Quad made in the third week of June, 2006, and it is my understanding that it originally came with either Tiger 10.4.2 or Tiger 10.4.4.
I'm very enthusiastic about this machine and very happy with its performance.  I'd like to search through the stacks of gray OS discs at local second-hand electronics shops for a matching set of discs.  It's more of a curiosity, as I do have retail Tiger and Leopard discs off of which the Quad boots just fine.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ramon,
I actually have both sets of discs. I have the disc set which came with the G5 Quad I own and its 10.4.2 while I do have another disc set which is 10.4.4 and it has also a OS 9.2.2 disc of its own for classic. When I get home later today I can see what other discs I have.. I will post the part numbers for you when I get home.
    Take care..

Computer locks up, so I want to reinstall the OS. I had upgraded to Snow Leopard.
Tried to do an archive and install from the DVD that came with the computer, but that failed.
Tried to do an erase and install, but the install stops somewhere near the end, 13 minutes to go. Tried several times, same result.
Can't reboot from the install disk, it just ejects the disk and I get the flashing question mark.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello. I have a new Iphone 5S and the charger taht came with the phone doesn´t charge my Iphone. The cable is good because I´m charging the phone via my PC. I tried every recomendation posted here but none helped me...I live in Argentina and we don´t have local support here, I would´ve ask for a new one but it´s not an option here. Does anyone know what can I do? Thanks in advance. Regards.

I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. It must be definitely something related to the carrier since I was abroad few days ago and everything worked well.
If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport"  it replies it cannot locate it)
I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
Perhaps iOS  Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
    Use Google Maps instead
BTW, I'm surprised how much Apple might prostrate towards hard power Governments.... No matter what, money are always on top!

  • Lightning cable that came with iPhone 5 won't charge

Waited in line since 4am to get my iPhone only to bring it home and try to to restore from iTunes when I find out I got a bad cable. When I plug it into an outlet it won't charge and when I plug (even just the USB end) into my laptop, it gives me an error saying there's too much power in the USB port and auto-disconnects it. My friend let me try his and it worked fine both ways, so it's definitely a bad cable. Too bad they're not carrying them for the next few days....
Hope this isn't a widespread issue.

Same issue. Intermittant charging with the AC Adapter, but did manage to get it set up with a 1st gen MBA. When plugged into the USB port on a new 11" MBA, it either doesn't recognize the iPhone (left USB port) or it immediately shuts down the computer (right USB port). And no, I'm not making this up.
On the phone with Apple last night for about 90 minutes (after ATT for 45 minutes.....that was fun). Was bumped up to real support tech who is "researching the problem" and who is to call me back at 11 am this morning. (You do have to give them some credit for customer support) I've also made a pre-emptive appointment at an Apple store (60 miles away) for this afternoon in case I'm told to pickup a new phone.
Odd that they can build a flawless phone that is clearly the technological bellweather but they can't get the cable right. I also wonder how they can release the phone but not have the cables and adapters ready. I was ready to just buy a couple of cables and call it a day.

  • HT1665 earphones that came with iphone don't fit

They are too big for the hole in the top of the iphone.

First of all, have you tried using your phone with other, known working earphones? - you can plug just about any earphones in that have the same size of connector (3.5mm), or borrow a pair from a friend or ask them to try your phone with their earphones.
If you have, and they work fine, then your earphones are faulty - return them for a replacement.
If you have, and they don't work, then your phone might have a problem - take it back to the store to get it checked out.
I hope that this if of some help.

  • I want to wipe the hard drive on my apple G4 powerbook clean. I do not have the original discs that came with the laptop. I do have the OS x 10.4 disc that I purchased. When I reinstall 10.4 will that disc also have itunes iphoto and safari on it.

I have an apple powerbook g4 running 10.3.9 which my daughter gave me. However all the installation discs were lost. I just purchaed OS x Panther for it. I want to wipe the hard drive clean to get rid of all of her personal information as I want to donate the laptop to a needy family. Do I need the installation discs or will the panther os x disc have everything that I need to wipe the hard drive clean and install panther. I do have an external hard drive.

    Hello again,
Some of those applications you mention will not be on the recently purchased OS 10.3 Panther disk so you'll need to make a copy of them so you can restore them later.
    Copy to your external drive;
iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes* and you may also have World Book 2003 depending what bonus software was installed when new. There may be other Non Apple applications you want to keep also.
*You could probably still get a download of iTunes but because it is such an old version, to save searching for it, make a copy of it while it is in front of you.
Everything else will be the 10.3 Panther disk including Safari.
Ideally with original disks, the process would be:
Insert your Install disk 1 into the drive and then Restart, and hold down the C key to take you to the installation windows.
Select your language, the start up Disk and choose Erase and Install.
At the point your registration process starts, abandon the registration, quit and eject the disk and switch of the computer.
This will allow the new user a freshly installed system, whereby they can complete the registration process themselves.
    However...
But as you want to add back iPhoto and iMovie etc, you'll proceed to create an Admin account, in order to add back those applications, by copying them from the external drive back to the Applications folder. After doing that you are finished.
Instruct the new user can create their own Admin account, (more than one can exist) and thereafter deleting the first one you created.
This would achieve a fresh setup akin to the original.

  • HT201412 Hi I just got the I phone 5S and I can only charge it with the cable that came with it in the box , I have tried using other also original cables that came with my I pad mini or I phone 5 with no luck .

Does The I phone 5s have a different charging cable ??

Well, assuming all of the above, Notifications, etc., it just might be time for a visit to the Apple tore genius center for a session with the techs.  See if it is a fault in the hardware or just an iOS reinstall is the answer.
One more thing you could try, backup so you have a record of content, then restore to factory conditions be an Erase All Contents and Settings.  Then restore from the backup you just made.  That has helped some with WiFi problems, may be it would work with your problems.
But with that behavior of another app with problems, the geniuses looks like a less stressful thing to do.

  • So I used my original CD that came with my Mac

Do I have to step upgrade or can I go straight from 10.2.8 and load my OS 10.5.4? I also have a Panther DVD in between?

If I understand your question, you want to know if you can upgrade directly from 10.2.8 to 10.5.4. The answer is yes if you have a retail version of Leopard you purchased and not a Leopard install disk that was bundled with another computer.
As for it stopping with a minute left for the install, first try patience. Let it keep running for an hour or so. If it still stalls, it sounds to me like a hardware problem. Boot from the Leopard install disk and after the language screen choose Utilities from the menu and run System Profiler. Check each hardware item, especially the DVD, and RAM in the Memory item. All the RAM should say OK on the right.
I think you can also run a hardware test by holding down the D key using the install disk.
Barry’s reply suggested you wanted to copy files from one computer to another. If that is the case, it’s a different question and you can follow the link Barry listed.
