Orkut and Software synchronisation problems Firefox 4 BETA.
Firefox BETA doesn't load New Orkut. Only the earlier version of Orkut shows up while trying to browse through Firefox BETA. Also, the Nokia Avi suite 2.2 browser synchronization extension shows 'Incompatible with Firefox 4.0b1'. Please help.

When I start firefox 4 beta 8 I had it set to go to www.google.com. The pages comes up but then Firefox just have the green circle going endlessly and the web site never finishes loading. I restarted firefox 3.6 and it has no problems at all. I tired Chrome and Safari and have no problems using their browsers.
It is not a Firefox problem. It is a BSNL Broadband problem. They are automatically redirecting all users to motive.bsnl.co.in whenever they restart their modem/router.

after installing firefox 4 beta 7 any customization of navigation bar breaks the forward and back a page buttons they stop working and and restoring the default buttons option it still doesn't work even in the safe mode and the text in menu buttons looks glassy
What I found was that anytime I installed one of the beta's, as soon as I tried to customize the bars and hit the "small icons" checkbox from customize that I would no longer be able to have the round shaped foward back buttons but only square (rectangle) small buttons.
To get those round ones back, but never again to the right of the "File - Edit - etc" bar, all I did was move all the buttons down to the navigation or another bar below as I have the space.
The problem still occurs that anytime I attempt to put them back up top beside the file etc options they go back to those small rectangle buttons :( -
When I open email in my inbox, they continually load and flash. I often have to use the "back" arrow several times to make it stop. Sometimes the message just won't open at all. Also, I can't open "sent" mail at all.
There's an HTML5 compatibility issue with Windows Live / Hotmail that affects the Firefox 4.0 betas. A Hotmail rep has said that will be fixed before the Firefox 4.0 Release Candidate comes out.
Try hitting the '''Esc''' key to stop that "cycling". -
Installer and software update problems
Hello! I just bought a new Hard Drive for my iMac G5 and installed Mac OS 10.4.6 from the DVD I had. The first thing I did when i got my system running, was to open Software Update. I didn't want to wait, so I selected for download only iTunes 7 and Java 5. I had planned to download Mac 10.4.10 later.
However, an hour later, I tried to open Software Update - and it simply refused! I download 10.4.10 Combo from the Apple web site and tried to open the file. No luck! Downloader starts for a second and then quits. Any help? Much appreciated!Yuri, welcome, I would Erase the hard drive and re-install the OS, then apply the Combo Updater. There have been so many problem reported here when trying run the new i-apps and not upgrading the OS.

Severe snow leopard and software update problems
I just upgraded to Snow Leopard in order to get support for my iPhone 4. Ever since then there have been serious problems.
1. The Snow Leopard upgrade kept bringing up the "you must shut your computer down" grey screen. I had to attempt several installs before it FINALLY installed. I figured I was in the clear.
2. Now software update crashes the computer (same "you must shut your computer down" screen) anytime I try to install ANY update.
3. I've run disk utility and repaired the disk and also fixed permissions, it doesn't help.
4. Snow Leopard appears to be running ok as long as I don't try to install anything.
5. I tried to manually download and install the 10.6.4 combo update and that crashed the computer a few times and then when it got to completion it said that the update could not be installed and to contact the software manufacturer.
I've combed the discussions and don't see an issue like this, specifically it doesn't just FREEZE or restart, but it brings up the "you must shut down" screen.

Chronic Download and Software Update Problems
For over a month now, my success rate at downloading Podcasts or using the "Software Update" has been around 5%.
Software update attempts often end with the error message: +*"Connection reset by peer. The installer package has been moved to the Trash. To try again, open the package from the Finder."*+
However, there is usually nothing added to the Trash and nothing to open from the Finder.
Podcast downloads often get terminated with the error message: +*"stopped (err= -3253)"*+
The above are happening on two different computers in my house and on two different internet connections. Things used to be consistently smooth on both and I don't recall making any major changes to my set-up lately.

I, too, have found it impossible to download large updates, specifically the 10.5.4 Combo Update; the most I've been able to get before the download fails is 55MB (about 10%), but usually it's only about 3MB. The download starts out OK, but the responses from the server (TCP acknowledgements and additional data) become fewer and farther as the download progresses -- until it finally fails due to no response from the server.

i just bought nokia lumia 520 3 days ago.
I am facing the following problems.
Facebook friends messages doesnt receive in inbox , i can send them i receive their after some time or at once after hour i get all the messages.
When anyone call me on viber and send me msg on whatsapp , no call appears for viber in phone and no notification appears on both tiles . it appears after 10min or 20min that i missed call on viber or got message 30min ago in whatsapp , rarely shows on tiles but i have to check it from insides.
Facebook app nofitications doesnt appear in tiles , although they do but after 3hours not in momentum
My phone is always connected to WIFI having good internet connection so theres no issue from internet side.

Itunes blank white screen. And Software update problems
When i open my itunes it lets me view my library, but not the itunes store.
I have seen on other questions that I need to update my software. When i try doing this it says that there are updates available, so i hit install. It instantly says " restart to finish installation " so i dont actually think its installing anything. Then when i hit restart it doesn't actually restart, it just goes blue, then to the login page. ..
Any help?Updating safari should fix your iTunes store issue.

If you are only using Firefox 4 beta you can uninstall Firefox 3.6. If you do uninstall Firefox 3.6 do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data" as that will delete all of your Firefox user data including bookmarks and passwords used by Firefox 4 beta.

Opening from the Programs list doesn't work, from the windows search bar doesn't work, and directly opening the Firefox.exe in the correct program folder doesn't work either.
I only got it to open once: upon first installing Firefox 4 Beta I asked it to pin it to the Windows 7 taskbar (it did not). My Firefox 3 program was still pinned to the taskbar however. So through that button I was able to open Firefox 3. But since then I have unpinned Firefox 3 and have pinned the Firefox 4 Beta to the taskbar instead. Now I can't get it to point back to Firefox 3.what a pain! However, the solution is to simply install the Add-On "Autofill Forms". I'm not certain why Mozilla didn't automatically install the add-on as most of us rely on this feature. It's definitely not a good enough reason to uninstall and reinstall an earlier version and this version has some neat features

Why doesn't Firefox 4 beta accept certain toolbars, such as Yahoo?
In Firefox 3.6 I had full accessibility to my Yahoo and Winamp toolbars, but Firefox 4 beta is not compatible with these toolbars, and I want to know when this will be corrected.
Ask the developers of those Toolbars when they are going to update them for Firefox 4.

Everytime I start Firefox 4 beta it crashes. I usually can visit one site on the web (doesn't matter what site) and then it locks up. The only thing that works on the browser then is the close button. After clicking the close button I'll try to restart the browser and I'll get an error message saying it can't open Firefox because it's already open. Which is a bunch of BS. The only I can get Firefox started again is to restart my computer. This is so frustrating that I've given up trying. Hopefully you guys know about this bug and can do something about it. I wasn't trying to post a question here I just wanted to make sure you guys heard about this problem.
yeah it is the gayest thing that happens :S what i do is turn off the internet, then open it, then turn on internet, then use it. :S OR make your homepage a tab.

It should not be a problem, as long as you are careful. Note the delete settings option when uninstalling firefox will delete bookmarks etc for ALL installed versions of firefox.
Firefox attempts to retain the profile information, that include bookmarks etc when updating. It may still be prudent to consider other backup methods not entirely dependent on firefox.
The firefox 4 beta will install by default in a slightly different location, you are then able to run either the current or the beta version of firefox. It is recommended you set up a new profile for the new version of firefox. see

I am trying to access my Template on Proxibid's Auctioneer website and the Firefox screen goes away, showing me my wallpaper, then it comes back and says Firefox is not responding, then it suddenly displays a full screen of HTML. I spoke with Proxibid - they suggest I undo the latest update, as this problem began after that update. I need to know how to do that.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.
