OS 9 Syst Folder or Classic Environment for G5 that has no original discs?

Last year I unwittingly updated to Intel Macs only to find that all of our kid games run on Classic. So now I have just bought an iMac 2 GHz PowerPC G5 (ALS) 20" thinking that with OS 10.4.6(now updated to 10.4.11) I would be good. Not so. It seems there is no Classic Environment or OS 9 System Folder and the machine only came with one copied disc marked "10.4.6". I have not yet heard back from the seller about obtaining the original discs that shipped with this machine. Where can I go from here? Thanks.

Problem solved. I tried an OS9 disk. Nothing. I tried the "original" install disc that an Apple Specialist sent, but it did not contain the Classic environment. I ended up buying G5 discs with Classic that did the trick. Perhaps my model runs Classic, but was built after Apple stopped installing with Classic. Life is good.

Hello Mac-users.
Before I got my MacBook, I used to play Diablo. Well, I wanted to play Diablo on my Mac too, but as I was about to install it, a message popped up and said, that my system could not open it. Maybe I need Classic Environment for my OS X Tiger version (10.4.10), but if I do, how will I be able to install it - if I can?
Otherwise, can anyone give me a clue on how to make my Mac 'accept' the installationsoftware?
I know this subject might have been up a few times, but I could not find other subjects that kind of answered my question.

You cannot install the Classic Environment on an Intel Mac.
There is a hack called SheepShaver (http://gwenole.beauchesne.info/projects/sheepshaver/) that has allowed some people (with difficulty) to run some OS 9 software. Personally, I think your best bet is to demand an updated version of the game from the makers.

I did similar task long time ago in script and logic was like this:
1. make array with owned base entities
2. make entity loop and check if entity is more than once in the first array then add it to UniqueEntitiesList (before adding check for existence should be done)
3. then you can use this UniqueEntitiesList anywhere else in your calculations
maybe there is a way to solve this in a more simple operations

AirPrint laser printer for home that has "n" wifi capabilities

Looking for an AirPrint laser printer for home that has "n" wifi capabilities. Was shocked to findout that most lasers don't do "N" wifi or high speed networking yet. Am seriously considering the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer, but just found out it is a nightmare to setup. Thought I could run it by USB port off my Timecapsule… Is anyone doing that? Can it do that? Is there a better alternative?

You can also setup the P1102w without the USB cable. What you need to do is to connect the printer via ad-hoc to your iPad first. With the default network settings the printer has its own SSID that you can select from the WiFi list on your iPad. Then open Safari and go into the EWS - either by the printers IP or host name. There you go to Network - Wireless and make the settings for your infrastructure network.
However, both Laserjets will need a FW update that you install from a Mac or PC, so you may already use the install steps there to connect your printer to the network.

Ipod touch is not formatted one way or the other at all.
Just sync it to the new computer using itunes.

Hadn't seen that review, but it matches what I conclude about that particular model - there's still lots of connecting & disconnecting to do. It has only one USB port docked, and another one sitting up top. I have many items I'll be attaching via USB, such as Wacom, backup drive, external drive for photos, mouse. And would prefer a Powered version so I don't have to connect the power cord each time either. And if you notice that video, he shpws his desktop consisting on nothing but a keyboard & a monitor. So with the lid closed on the MBA, how's he move the cursor around? Missing a mouse there. (Yes - he could have a wirelesss mouse, but personally, I find a wired mouse much better - but he has NONE.
Hoping to find someone who has actually used one.
From my research, it seems the Landing Zone MAY do what I want, but I can't get answers from them to questions. They have units for 2012 - 2013 MBA's, but I don't see anything on their site about the 2014 model I have.

Delete Release strategies for PO that has been delete

I'm facing this problem whereby there are Purchase Order that have been inactive which mean the line item for the Purchase Order have been deleted. The concern is the release strategies still appear in ME29 for PO that have been deleted.
How do i remove this PO from the release strategies ?

Check to the PO item detail , if the delivery complete indicator and final invoice indicator is ticked, then the release strategy will remain in document although you already delete all the PO line items, try to untick the indicator and then unreset the delete indicator and delete the item again, see whether the release strategy still exist, also you may try to check notes : 527995(run report ZKSTAPO1 to update the STAPO field).

(2) my original requirement was to pair the players randomly, so i used following solution.
In E1 i have RAND() for 1000 rows (E1000),D1 I have 128 teams
In A1 used this formula

I want to enhance above formula to give priority to players who have set preferences and do their pairing first with other players who have the same preferences.

Settlement for Material that has Co-Product

Hi people,
I have a main material that has 3 co-products.
In the transaction: COR2 in settlement rule, we have put the % for each product (for the main product and his co-products).
When I execute the transaction CO8B to (preliminary settlement for co-procuts) the system run ok, but until this time, nothing was to the inventory.
So I thought that when we executed the transaction KO88, the amount will go to the inventory in the main produtc, but it didn´t happened.
Maybe i did some thing wrong.
Could you help me how I can make the settlement to show the value in the main material?

Check the Apportionment structure in the Main material master, I think you should have given Equivalence number for the main and all the 3 co products.
Same ratios will be taken up in the Process order too. you are not required to give %.
Just check whether this is in place.
CO8B is the transaction code to divide the cost on the Process order in the ratio mentioned to all the Products. But this will not flow the cost to the Inventory.
Once you do the above transaction, then the cost on the Process order is divided among the Main and Co products.
Then you execute KO88, it only settles either the WIP or the variance on the order to FI. But Inventory is increased when you do GR

App Store keeps showing update for program that has been uninstalled

The App Store keeps showing an update available for Virus Barrier Express even after I have removed it completely from my system. Going into the Purchased list shows it is not installed. When the application was installed it always said there was an update. No matter how many times you clicked Update and allowed it to download and install the update, the App Store still showed the update needed to be installed.
On another machine it constantly shows an update for one of the installed applications but clicking the update button doesn't clear the update once it's been downloaded and installed.
Deleting the App Store preference hasn't resolved the issue. Enabling the debug menu and using the Reset Applications option has not either.

I found out what was causing my problem (can't re-install an app that I deleted and which was purchased from the App Store). The app I was trying to re-install under Lion was Apple's Compressor v4 which is only available through the Mac App Store. However, even though I was booting from my one-and-only copy of Lion the Mac App Store was apparently getting confused by an old copy of Compressor v3.5 that was installed on another boot disk that I maintain for Snow Leopard. I'm running on a quad-disk Mac Pro so all four disks mount whenever I start the system. In any case, all I had to do was unmount the other disks and the Mac App Store then allowed me to install Compressor v4 on my Lion system.
The reason I was able to pinpoint this solution is that I wanted to run another Mac App Store app (Find Any File) and even though the Store said it was "Installed" I couldn't find the application in either the Lion Application folder or within LaunchPad. I then realized that the App Store was referencing the copy of that app that was stored on my Snow Leopard disk and unmounting that disk finally allowed me to install both Compressor v4 and Find Any File on my actual/current boot disk (i.e. Lion).
Now, the odd thing about this problem is that Compressor v4 wasn't installed on any of my disks, it was the older version of Compressor (v3.5.3) that apparently was preventing me from installing the new version 4 on my Lion system. In fact, Compressor v3.5.3 crashes immediately under Lion so that version of the app isn't even usable when I'm running Lion.
So, if you're having a problem with installation or app removal or updates from the Mac App Store try dismounting any other disks which you might have attached to your Mac and see it that solves your problem. If it does solve the problem then you can almost be assured that the cause of your difficulty is some file that is present on one of your other disks (i.e. app may not even be on your current boot disk).

When relocating my itunes, I lost all my metadata for albums that I had originally imported from either CD or bandcamp. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

I wanted to access my itunes music from an external HDD as my mac mini only has a 256GB SSD. That was fine, I did that correctly as the forums suggested, however looking through my library It appeared that I was missing a fair amount of music! Right down the bottom of my library was a whole bunch of songs with '01 *trackname* ' then a whole bunch of '02 *trackname* ' so on and so forth. This was all my missing music! I realised after a short moment that this was indeed all the music that I had imported either directly from CD or music I had bought from Bandcamp (so originally it had all the album/artist/artwork/year etc etc) Now I've had to go through and look up each album and re-sort them myself. I want to know how to make sure that if I do need to ever re-import my itunes (HDD failure etc) that all that metadata will stay the same.

AIFF and ALAC will both preserve tags in the files itself as well as what is stored in the library file. It is still best you do the move the library properly as there are some metadata only stored in the iTunes library file and this data will be lost if you end up re-adding a file, but at least most will be saved.
ALAC is the same quality as AIFF but smaller files (~60% original).
Various things you mention set up small red flags. If you are sharing a library you have to be careful. A library is all the media plus all the support files which give it the structure you see when you open the iTunes application. Only one person at a time can open the library file itself (iTunes library.itl). Several people can simultaneously share media but if you want several computers using the same media at the same time you will have to set it up so
each user has their own library file and share the same media. The main problem there is if one person makes changes to the media the other person has to be notified because iTunes iwll not automatically update a library file if something changes in the media folder. I could type another 30 lines on this topic and won't unless you specifically need to configure things a particular way.
Another red flag is "network". Is this a NAS? Plenty of posts on the forum where iTunes has problems using those. Probably many people with no issues but it seems to be a constant issue with some.

Conveter for DataTable that has access to DataModel row variable?

I am trying to make a conveter that I can use in conjunction with a datatable. So I can verfify the results against a DB and do custom calculations and easily display the error message next to that row.
I do already have access to an EntityManager in this converter, but I do not know how to get additional information.
What I need to do is verify against an external system.
How can I pass additional information to this conveter or figure out which row in the DataModel it came from so I can obtain this informion from there?

The best thing you can do is not to create a converter.
Let the normal convettions occur.
Then (in the action method) you validate the model.

Replacement for Outlook that has built in calendar and mail

Outlook is a resource hog. I need to find something to replace it. Something that allows for calendar support and mail support of an Exchange mail account.
