OS Compatibility Chart?

In this site (technet.oracle.com) I found a very useful compatibility chart. It said, for instance that RH Linux 7.0 was not supported by Oracle (the DBMS). At the time, there was support only for RH6.x.
I have looked all over the place and I cannot find that chart anymore. Where is it?
Can I install Oracle 8 on RedHat Linux 7.0?
Thanks,
-Ramon

  • Backwards compatibility chart of past AE releases?

I know this topic comes up every so often. I just ran into it today where I was trying to open an AE 5.0 project in CS6 and it just won't.
EDIT: I installed CS5 and it still won't open. Geez. Installing CS4 now...
Is there a handy dandy chart that shows how far back each version of After Effects can open AEP project?
And what's the earliest version of After Effects can I install and run on a current Mac with Mountain Lion (no Rosetta)? What about Windows 7? Win8?

After Effects CS4 opens project from After Effects 5.0 and later
After Effects CS5 opens project from After Effects 6.0 and later
After Effects CS5.5 opens project from After Effects 6.5 and later

  • Compatibility chart?

Does anyone know if there is an online chart or table that shows which PM components are compatible with each other?
For example, you have 3 main serial numbers to deal with when trying to find parts for your Power Mac--the machine serial number, the logic board serial number, and the CPU(s) serial number. In addition, parts all seem to have multiple numbers: a 630- part number and an 820- part number and sometimes more. I've seen the notes at online stores about using the EEE codes, but I find these confusing as well, since they seem to be using the 3 next-to-last characters, but they say to look at the last four letters. And then they say that the logic boards have different revisions and such, but they don't say how to tell which revision you have or which ones work with each other.
If anyone can point to a chart or article that clarifies how to match up internal parts, I'd be grateful.
    thanks

I'm not seeing a very good correlation between the date and Apple's specifications page. For example, I have a Power Mac with the serial number xxxxxxxxxx, which brings up the page for June 2004 PMs. According to your date method, it was prepared December 2004 (49th week of 04). So shouldn't it bring up the Late 2004 spec page?
I have another PM with the serial number xxxxxxxxxxxx, which brings up the page for 2003 Power Macs. It was manufactured in January 04 and it is a dual processor model, which does not appear on the 2003 spec page. So how does one determine the version or revision for this model?
I have another PM with the serial number xxxxxxxxxxx, which brings up the June 2004 spec. This PM has no processors, so how do I know which spec to match it to since there are 3 versions listed?
There has to be something more detailed from Apple that other people use to sort out these issues. But maybe it isn't publicly available.
    thanks for your response.

  • Camcorder compatibility chart

Where is the listing that tells me which camcorders are compatible with iM HD? I need this for my students.
    Thanks!

"In order to import footage directly into iMovie from a video camera, the camera must be either a DV or HDV camera connected to the computer via FireWire (FireWire is also known by other names including i.LINK and IEEE 1394)."

All of the above cameras work. (Possibly with the exception of really old Samsung models.)

  • Wanted: Complete list (chart) of iOS 4.1 feature support for 2G vs 3G Touch

I have 2G Touch, running iOS 4. Love it.
QUESTION: Is there an iOS 4.1 chart that lists specific features available for 2G vs. 3G hardware?
    CONTEXT:
    (A) I already scoured this page:
    http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/software-update/
...and was unsatisfied by this ambiguous disclaimer:
"Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking, custom wallpaper, and Bluetooth keyboard support are available only with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the third- and fourth-generation iPod touch (all models from late 2010 and 32GB and 64GB models from late 2009)."
    (B) So, I searched apple.com's support/forums for an updated version of this WONDERFUL compatability chart:
"_iPod touch: Which iOS 4 software features does my iPod touch support?_"

    Last Modified: June 24, 2010
    Article: HT4205
*_MY DREAM_ is for article HT4205 to be updated, by someone, somewhere!*
    Thanks in advance.

Can anyone else verify that this information remains unavailable?
Have any independent blogs/sites created a tentative (speculative) chart/table with the information I requested?

  • Final Cut Pro 3.0 compatibility with Lion

I have a two Apple machines on which I am running OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
    1)     27" iMac 2.8Ghz Quad-core Intel Core i7 / 16GB DDR3 PC3-8500 (non-ECC) Memory / Hitachi 2TB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200rpm.
    2)     17" MacBook Pro 3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 / 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM Memory / 750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm.
I use the above machines to run Apple and Adobe Professional Applications and Third Party Plug-ins:
    a)     Final Cut Studio Version 3.0
    b)     Logic Studio
    c)     Logic Express 9
    d)     Aperture 3
    e)     Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection
    f)      FileMaker Pro 10
All the aforementioned applications run with no problem on the aforementioned Mac configurations. I wish to migrate to OS X 10.7 Lion. I have been told by many that my configuration will not run my primary application Final Cut Studio version 3 and there will be a myriad of compatibility issues with the four added professional applications I run on my hardware.
My question is; I want  to upgrade Snow Leopard and move to Lion via the App Store.  Will I be able to run Final Cut Studio Version 3.0 and the applications identified above without issue on Lion or will my all my applications be completely incompatable and not run?

  • UConnect compatibility

I have the 430n/rhb Uconnect system in a 2011 RAM 1500. I am able to connect my phone via Bluetooth and can make and receive calls. However, I am unable to download my phonebook (compatibility chart looks like this is supported) and I am unable to send or receive text messages via UConnect.
Anyone else have success in this?

    Hello clmahaf1
I would be glad to look into the Bluetooth issues. I'm glad the device connects to make and receive calls. Please try unpairing and repairing the device and the truck. Does UConnect see the phonebook?
Here's a link to Dodge's website in regards to UConnect. This includes a number to UConnect. They may have some advanced troubleshooting they can try for the advanced Bluetooth features your vehicle offers.

  • NI VST Compatibility with RF Measurement Suits and toolkits

    Dear all
I Hope this message finds you all well
I need to know more about the compatibility of NI Vector Signal Transceivers (VST) with the available RF Measurement Suits.
The below information is what I have gathered so far , since there is no compatibility chart available to help :
NI WiMAX Measurement suit (Not Compatible with VST):
In the Datasheet , It is mentioned that the compatibile hardware is
RF vector signal generators  : NI PXIe-5673 and NI PXIe-5673E
RF vector signal analyzers : NI PXIe-5663  and NI PXIe-5663E )
NI GSM/EDGE measurement Suit : (Compatible with VST).
NI WCDMA/HSPA+ Measurement Suit  : (Compatible with VST)
NI LTE Measurement Suit : (Compatible with VST)
In the Datasheet of all the 3 measurment suits (they are only one Measurement suit called NI Cellular High performance Test system) , it is mentioned that they are compatible with the NI VST Hardware
NI Wireless LAN Measurment Suit : (Compatible with VST)
In The Datasheet of the WLAN Measurement Suit , the VST is mentioned as a compatible hardware.
NI Bluetooth Measurement Suit : (Not Compatible with VST)
In it's Datasheet , it is mentioned that "The NI Bluetooth Measurement Suite is a software-defined approach to Bluetooth testing. With this solution, you can generate and acquire Bluetooth signals using vector signal generators (VSGs) and vector signal analyzers (VSAs)." , No VST was mentioned
NI GNSS Toolkit : (Not Compatible with VST)
In it's catalog page , nothing is mentioned but the NI PXIe-5672 RF Vector Signal Generator
Kindly I need confirmation about the above data , since I am not sure about it . in addition , some white papers are mentioning that the VSTs can be used with the RFSG and RFSA APIs , does that mean that the Measurement suits and toolkits supporting RFSA and RFSGs only will work on the VSTs as well ?

    Hi Mohammed,
I've spoken with R&D and determined that the NI Bluetooth Measurement Suite is VST compatible.  The NI GNSS Toolkit is also VST compatible, but only through the VST Instrument Design Library and not through the NI-RFSG driver.  The NI WiMAX Measurement Suite is not VST compatible.
    Hopefully this information is helpful!

  • Secure Desktop compatibility with Vista

Cisco states that CSD version 3.3.0.118 will work on Windows Vista if MS hotfix KB935855 is installed- I have yet to see this work. I've also seen a compatibility chart that states that you need Service Pack 1 on Vista- I have gotten that to work.
My issue is I have a lot of users who are reluctant to install sp1 on their personal Vista machines. I don't even want to do this on mine because of the other ill effects it can cause. Does anyone know the exact hotfix that is needed for Vista to work with CSD without having to install sp1?

To the best of my knowledge it can't be done without SP1.

  • Is camcorder compatibility guide really accurate? Canon Vixia HF G10 or something else?

OK, looking for a HD camcorder and the Canon Vixia HF G10 looks great. I check the compatibility guide  http://help.apple.com/imovie/cameras/en/index.html?lang=en_US  and it shows to be compatible. I'm about to pull the trigger, then I see a review on Amazon that indicates it isn't compatible with iMovie11 (2nd review down)  http://www.amazon.com/Canon-G10-Camcorder-Internal-Memory/product-reviews/B004HW 7DZM/ref=cm_cr_pr_btm_link_next_2?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&pageNumber=2  .  So now I don't know if the compatibility chart is worth diddly. I already went through heck trying to get my old miniDVs to capture in iMovie (ended up having to buy iMovie06 to get that to work!). Now I want to avoid headaches ... I want to get an HD camera that will just plug in and work without a bunch of headaches. I like Canon and Sony ... or maybe Panasonic. Can anyone recommend a nicer model that they have experience with working flawlessly with iMovie11? I'm looking to spend $600-$1200 or so. Thanks!

In general, people have really good results with Canon, Panasonic, and Sony. These brands have a long history with Apple video products. The only exception I have seen is when some of the manufacturers promote 60P, which is non-standard and does not play on a TV. iMovie cannot handle 60P easily. If you stick to standard formats like 30P, 29.97i, 24P, 25i or 25p, any of those manufacturers should be fine.

  • MGBLX1 compatibility Sw 2960X

My question is if the SFP MGBLX1 is compatible whit a Cisco Sw 2960X
    Thanks.

    Hello,
The MGBLX1 is meant for use with the Small Business line of switches.  From looking over the SFP compatibility matrix the 2960X will not support the MGBLX1.
If you are trying to connect from a MGBLX1 on a Small Business switch going to a Catalyst, the SFP on the Catalyst should be a GLC-LH-SM.  That info came from the Small Business to Enterprise SFP Compatibility chart.
Hope that helps, and thank you for choosing Cisco,
