OS incompatible with Aperture version

I run OS 10.6.6 and have Aperture 1.5.6. I do not use Aperture anymore but need to pull off some photos from the past. I tried to open Aperture and got a note that 1.5.6 was incompatible with OS 10.6.6. Short of going back to an older OS, which I don't have or buying an updated Aperture, is there a work around?

I started playing around with holding keys down and clicking (only have a single button mouse - can't right click). Doing what Neil said gets me into the projects. If I then Shift+Control click a project, it gets me to another Show Package. Clicking on that gets the actual photo files. The problem is now solved. It's a one by one photo retrieval effort, but at least i can do it.

An automatic update arrived and installed itself but then told me it was incompatible with my version of Mac: 10.5.8. Firefox version 3.6.26 is on it now. It seems to work the same. Is there going to be a problem or should I ignore that message?

I'm totally new to the oracle databases field...am trying to startup the database using the parameter file init.ora by using the command
startup pfile='/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/init.ora'
But its giving me the following error:
ORA-00201: control file version 10.2.0.1.0 incompatible with ORACLE version
10.2.0.0.0
ORA-00202: control file:
'/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/control01.ctl'
Can anyone help me with this error?

startup pfile='/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/init.ora'You are most likely using the wrong init.ora file. Get a list of files at /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/
For the database ORACLE_SID that you are attempting to startup, there would be an initSID.ora or spfileSID.ora
e.g. if the ORACLE_SID is PROD, the file would be initPROD.ora or spfilePROD.ora
The spfileSID.ora is a binary file and should not be accessed by a text-editor.

IIRC essbase is a financial reporting add-in (Hyperion, or something similar?).
This message is telling you that the add-in is not compatible with your current software. You should check with the vendor who provided the essbase add-in. Tell them what version of windows and Excel (and maybe Hyperion) you are using, and get a compatible
version from them...
If you do not need or run essbase/hyperion/etc then you should just remove/disable the add-in. If it doesn't show in your add-in menu, then you may have to do a repair installation or re-install Excel

I have upgraded the database from 9.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.4 and for some time compatible parameter remained 9.2.0.0.
Recently i have changed compatible parameter to 10.2.0.4.Now I could open the database with pfile but when I am trying to open database with spfile then I am getting following error:--

Yes,everything is set to 10g only with spfile I am getting this error.
When i am starting it with pfile it is opening and running good the onle thing I can not enable alter system set db_file_recovery_dest_size=5G scope=both bcoz spfile is not being used .I started using pfile and created spfile from pfile and then bounce the database startup then I am getting above error.

When I installed the newest update it said some of the features were incompatible with this version of Firfox yet when Firfox starts it says I have the newest version.

I got a new update. I installed it and it said that some of the features were not installed because they incompatible with this version of Fire. I figured "Okay" and continued. When Firefox opened it said I have the "Newest" version. Great, then how come some of the features are not compatible with the "Newest" version. That makes no sense!

It is possible that because of changes made to firefox, some other software used with Firefox may no longer be compatibile (for example some toolbars) or it is possible the software may work with Firefox, but the software does not recognise the version of Firefox.
First of all check the add-ons are up-to-date. Downloading, installing and using the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Compatibility Add-on] may help to allow such Add-ons to be run for testing, and hopefully some may actually work.

My Norton toolbar doesn't workm in Firefox 21. It says it is incompatible with said version of Firefox. It is Norton toolbar version 2013.3.4.3.

Also, there is no "enable" button next to the listing in add-ons list. I have the most current version of Norton Internet Security installed and there are no further updates available on Liveupdate.

I encounter a problem that is increasingly recurring, at the opening of a PDS Photoshop CC.
After working on a file and then close Register one, he can not open and displays a incompatibility message me with the same software that I was used to create it.
I work on a PC with Photoshop CC, but the same problem has occurred on a Mac with Photoshop CS5.
Yet I shall endeavor to select "maximize compatibility" every time the question is asked me.

First i was trying to save on a shared cloud. Later, i save my files on an internal hard drive and then copy them on the cloud, but when i, or the persons that access the folder on the cloud, try to re-open the file there, the problem is coming back.

After installing 3.6.9 update, none of my plugins are working now. not one...why?everything is still installed and it didn't say that it's incompatible with my version of firefox but i can't see a thing..no foxtab, no script, etc...

One of the files that stores details on installed add-ons may be corrupt. Try removing the files to see if that helps. Firefox will re-create the files and in the process re-build the list of installed extensions and themes. I have just shut down and restarted a production database. It will not open.. It wasn't recovered, upgraded or anything, it was shutdown and an attempt was made to restart it.

what could be going wrong here?

It sounds like someone made a change to the COMPATIBLE parameter and saved it to SPFILE (or even updated the init.ora file) only to cause a problem on restart but you say there was no SPFILE. Have you tried changing the COMPATIBLE parameter back to what it was on the previous start? Check the alert log for the history of changes and previous values.

I just updated to 10.9.3. I now cannot open Mail - it comes up with an error window and suggests it may be incompatible with this OS. What is the fix for this? Thanks

You would be wise to quit all apps, disconnect all peripherals and preferably delete all email accounts before upgrading.

Remote speaker not compatible with this version of iTunes?

I have the newest version of iTunes and an Airport Express through which I play music.
After upgrading to the newest version of iTunes, a window appears stating that my remote speakers are not compatible with this version of iTunes when I try to select the remote speakers as my audio output.
What does this mean and how can I fix the problem? How can my speakers not be compatible with iTunes when all I have is an optical cable from my Airport Express going into the back of my home theater receiver?

You'll get this error if the version of firmware on the AirPort Express is incompatible with the version of iTunes you are using. Make sure you have the latest base station firmware (6.3) and the latest iTunes (7.0.2).
