OS slow responding all around - please help!
Lately my G4 is slow to respond all the way around. It click, but it doesn't; sometimes I have to click 3 or 4 times before it actually works; sometimes it works on one click. I thought it was my wireless mouse, but I changed the batteries and there was no change. Also, sometimes I'll start to type, in AIM say, and nothign will happen except the cursor stops flasshing. Then a couple seconds later it catches back up. If I move the mouse across the desktop it can't make it all the way across without flinching.
Unfortunately, I can't pin it to a specific thing that I did such as the last OS upgrade. It is very hard to work having to pick up the mouse every .5 seconds to move it back across the desk.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe it's b/c the hard drive partition that the OS is on only has 2GB left on it. A few weeks ago the OS partition was full and the whoel thing would freeze up, until I moved the iphoto library to a different drive.
Any thoughts? Is there a way to clean up my partition of unnecessary files that would make a difference, or to expand the partition without reformatiing the whole drive?

I have gleaned the following information from your previous posts:
30GB partition contains OS and applications.
120GB partition contents unknown.
iPhoto library is on another drive.
"Virtually" no songs/video clips on the boot volume.This is not enough information for me to confidently answer the question..."What is the best way to go about reformatting my boot drive?" I can state with absolute confidence and certainty, that copy and paste will not work for your system folder. Without even knowing what applications you have, I would also predict failure of copy and paste for all of your critical applications.
Before you do anything else, you need to consider Dr. Smoke's comprehensive Backup and Recovery plan. Also read How to back up and restore your important Mac OS X 10.4 files, and Mac OS X: How to back up and restore your files.
Consider creating a single partition only after everything is safely backed up.

My App Store won't allow me to download any apps. It says such and such app is unable to download try again later every time. I have enough storage all my devices are up to date on all updates please help
I am a librarian at a 1:1 iPad school and we are having this problem with all ~3000 student iPads as well at ~300 teacher iPads. This is extremely frustrating. I have tried suggested fixes found on other discussion boards but none have worked.

Firefox crashed suddenly and now it won't open at all. Please help
Firefox crashed suddenly and now it wont open at all. When I click the icon all I get is the spinning pinwheel and have to force quit the program. I've tried rebooting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, it won't open in safe mode....it wont do anything at all. Please help.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Help - i recently made put together a high quality movie for a relative, it has taken me months to complete and it goes for a total of 9 hours and 43 minutes ,however, it won't let me export the video at all! please help - its taken ages to make it!

Short version:
Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
That was for single-layer DVDs. Double these numbers for dual-layer DVDs.
Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced technology to encode your video, resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned abo
In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. I down loaded the update for 4 and when I get to the end where is you click finish, it tells me to close firefox, but I do not have it open. Now I can not get in to Firefox at all. PLEASE Help.

You should still have your profile folder, so when you install 3. you will get your bookmarks and other user data back.

If you've noticed unexpected behavior with your iPhone camera, start with these steps to isolate or resolve the issue:
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

My iPhone 4 screen is on existent (Blank, looks like it turned off but not as it rings when calls come thru) I can't turn it off and turn it on- this usually fixes all problems. I can't take calls at all. Please help?

I took it to a ohone shop today and they're going to try and fix the phone without altering the memory, but apparently that's quite hard to do with IPhones
That will void any support from Apple. If you take the device to an Apple store you would be able to get an out of warranty replacement. A third party shop may make things worse and end up costing you more. Apple does not sell parts so all the third party shop will be able to use are parts from damaged or stolen devices. If the third party shop cannot fix the device you will have to pay full price for a replacement phone rather than the discounted price from Apple. -
I am currently facing trouble when trying to use the standard keyboard commands such as Home/End/Page Up/Page Down on Firefox.
The browser does not respond to the same.

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false. -
So I recently got a 13" MacBook Pro in August and this weekend I've started to have problems with it. On Friday night, my safari just stopped loading the pages. It would try for a couple if minutes and then stop and give me the message that I said above. Also, I can't connect to the App Store or anything from my MacBook even though it says that it is connected to the wifi. There is no problem getting online with the rest of my apple devices, so I figured that there must be something wrong with my MacBook. Also, I have midterms this week so it would really help if someone could help me with this now. Everything and I mean everything is on my computer that I absolutely need for midterms is there. New Customer, Getting a lot of run around please help
I need help. I am tired of getting run around. I want to switch to Verizon because of great customer service that my friends and colleagues talk about they receive from Verizon. My experience so far does not reflect that all. I per-ordered iPhone 6 plus on Sept 12th as a new customer, filled out all the info. to order new service and port my current number from an other provider. My order was completed and I received email confirmation by 2:30 CST (12:30 PST). The entire time during order process, I was being told that my phone will be delivered on Sept. 19th. The order status page still says "Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.". I am not even sure if my order went through and If I am even going to receive a phone. I have called customer service several times and no one seems to know what's going on. COULD SOMEONE AT VERIZON PLEASE HELP and clarify if I am still going to receive my phone? This is getting extremely frustrating. My wife's and kids contract with our current service provid@er expire in August. I was going to switch them to Verizon as well, however, at this point I am not so sure if I am going to switch.

If Verizon gets 4 million orders for iPhone 6es and they only sent Verizon 2 million and they cant tell Verizon when they will ship the the other 2 million then yes that is Apple's fault and Verizon has no way of telling you anything. -
When I start up Bridge CC I get a error message instructing me to purge cache in preferences which I do but it doesn't work and freezes my mac. I cannot curretnly use Bridge CC. PLease help as this is costing me time and money - thank you in advance....
Hold down the Option key as you launch Bridge, keep it down until you see a dialog box, then click all three options in the re-set box that comes up.
If you don't see that re-set box, you're doing it wrong, i.e., you're not holding the Option key down fast enough.
