OS Tiger won't load store using itunes 9

I know this issue has been brought up in other threads, but I can't seem to locate a fix. Has either Apple or someone out there in Apple land figured out how to get around the problem of not being able to download the correct version of Safari in order to use the itunes store. I am truly surprised Apple would suggest to Tiger users to download itunes 9.0 when it doesn't allow us to go the itunes store. I'd upgrade to Snow Leopard, but it won't work on my iBook G4. If there is a fix, please provide me the link. If Apple has offered an updated/download which fixes this problem, please provide the download link. Or, maybe this is still an ongoing problem.
Thanks so much! Sorry for having to repeat a topic already mentioned.
Michael

App Store won't load when using wifi

So I'm having this problem with my Ipod 5th gen. I tried absolutely everything but the router suggestions. Mainly because this problem isn't just at home, it's everywhere. I can connect to every free wifi or pass-worded wifi (with the correct password) just fine. But I can't access the internet or apps using the internet at all. Full signal like everyone else. Just no results. Took every tip in this forum and nothing has worked. Even tried deleting the apps that weren't working and re-installing just to make sure it wasn't just a crappy connections with the internet. NOTHING! Someone please help? I'm starting to think it might just be the antenna or the fact that it's about 2 years old and kind of abused. It's been working up until I recovered it after 2 1/2 months of being last in the mix of pants that were packed away. Didn't get washed or anything just had the battery die while it was sitting there. Found it yesterday and starting today I can't access Safari, Youtube, the App Store, or anything else that requires an internet connection. What should I do? Should I take it in to the Apple Store and get it checked out? Or is there something I can do by myself?

  • TS1368 I cannot connect to iTunes store using iTunes. 'Secure link to iTunes store failed'. Please help!

I cannot connect to iTunes store using iTunes. I have version 11.0.2.26 on Win 7 pc. I have had no problems until recently. Can't say exactly the problem began as I don't normally use my computer to access the store but my last successful access according to iTunes diagnostics was 28th Feb 2013 (if thats useful?!)
I've run the Network Connectivity Test in iTunes diagnostics and I got the following results:
    - Network interfaces verified.
    -Internet connection verified.
    -Secure link to iTunes failed.
When I click the help button next to the 'Secure link to iTunes failed' message I get the following:
''iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn't connected to the internet.'
My pc is connected to the internet. I've checked firewalls. Windows firewall is off. I'm running AVG internet security 2013. Iv've checked the firewall settings on that and iTunes is not being blocked.
Getting kinda frustrated. Can anybody help please???

I seem to have tracked down the problem. AVG Family Safety software was causing the issue somehow. I have uninstalled it and iTunes now working. I will contact AVG for a solution as I now have no way of blocking certain sites.

  • Iphone 6 app store won't load even thought iTunes works?

The App Store page won't load at all but iTunes works just fine and so does the Game center.

    Hi, mas71.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are some troubleshooting steps that I would recommend going through for this issue.
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

  • 8.0.2.20 won't load.."iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I finally gave in to the annoying pop-up and upgraded to 8.0.2.20 from 7.6. Initial load worked fine, connected to ipod and updated it without a problem.
Shutdown computer and tried to load this morning. Now get the "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I tried to uninstall itunes 8 and revert back to 7.6 but my library was updated by itunes 8 and prevents this reversion.
Now I'm stuck with a lame duck itunes 8 and no way to access itunes. Insight?
Running XP home edition service pack 3

If you want to use iTunes 7, you need to rebuild your library like this:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451
If you wan to troubleshoot iTunes 8, first check to see if Quicktime works. If it works normally then use this trouble shooting method for iTunes.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1421
If QUicktime doesn't work describe what happens with any error message.
Have you installed any of the following:
ACE & K-Lite mega codecs package, QT alternative, Storm codec, WinAVI video converter, Mpcstar, (possibly starcodec pack, 3ivx)
If so uninstall them, they are know to cause problems with QUickitme.
Then download the version of Quickime without iTunes:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Now Remove Quicktime using the method for Quicktime in this article (just Quicktime):
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
When you come to your C:\Windows\system32\ folder you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart you computer
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check if it starts.
If it does you are in a position to find out if iTunes is OK.

  • Tiger won't load in Target disc mode either!

Have had the problem of many in that my G3 iBook won't load the DVD-even though it has a combo drive. Anyway, tried target disc mode on my Tiger installed iMac and still unsuccessful. I think it's the disc itself. The installation goes through the "checking DVD" protocol and then I get an error code. Any clue? I've got a reservation at the genius bar this afternoon at 3pm but would love to solve this one on my own if possible...

It is possible that the combo drive is damaged or the BootX file already on the hard drive is having trouble. Have you backed up your data?

  • Some images won't load in Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store

Since my upgrade to Mavericks, some images on Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store wont load some times. I can't figure out the source of problem, but I've tested all four apps and the same problem exists across all of them; I've also tested Chrome, Firefox and Opera to see if they are suffering from the same problem, and surprisingly enough I've found that they are not; They load images perfectly well, and I've never encountered one to not load images. I'm totally confused and frustrated, what is preventing Apple products to load images? Here are some screenshots:

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items.  Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.

  • Itunes won't load store and can't login

I have installed and uninstalled all apple apps with no luck
after installing itunes runs but I can't get the store to load just keeps telling me loading or accessing store.  I can't even log in.
contacted macafees and turned all of the firewall and net protect off with no luck they told me since it didn't help turning all off that it's not a problem with the firewall.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • ITunes store won't load on my iTunes.

It says it's loading but then it just shows a blank screen. My iTunes is updated version 11 but it was also doing this before I updated.

I'm not stupid; of course I've read through Apple's troubleshooting info, none of it helps.. I've tried all the simple fixes, and even the elaborate ones. The problem persists. I would normally assume that my computer itself is the problem, but there seems to be many other people having the same issue. I'm guessing that there are some compatibility issues with iTunes and Windows 7.
I will keep trying to fix this myself. Any solutions are welcome, and if I find one that works, I'll post it here for anyone else who has this problem.

  • Won't let me use iTunes store

When I want to download a song or redeem a gift card, it says my network connection timed out. But when I check my wireless connection, everything is fine with it. Do you have to have a wired internet connection to download iTunes music?

    Hi There
You can try restarting your iPod by holding the power and home buttons until the iPod turns itself off and then back on.
You could also try restarting the wi-fi that your iPod connects to.
    Hope this helps

  • IPod won't load video from iTunes

Hey there people, this is my first time posting in here and I really need a hand. I just bought a 30 gig video and I converted some files on my computer to mp4 and the videos are viewable under movies in my iTunes. The problem is that when I plug my iPod into my computer a warning box comes up telling me that I cannot load the file onto the ipod because the ipod won't support the video (or something along those lines). Is there anything that I can do to fix it?? Please help!!!
    Thanks alot,
    A.

What did you use to covert them? The iPod has rather specific conversion requirements where as iTunes is a bit more relaxed. So it is perfectly reasonable to have video files that will play in iTunes but are not right for the iPod (bit rate too high, etc.)
