OS Upgrade - Can Clustering work on two diff OS levels?

I have WLS7.0sp2 installed on a pair of Solaris 8 boxes. We are upgrading the OS to 9 but the users don't want a down time on their Apps. Therefor, we can't take the whole app down and hit both boxes with the upgrade. My hunch is that if we upgrade one box one day and the other box a day or two later the WLS cluster would still function normally on the two OS versions - as long as the upgrade went smoothly. *Both boxes contain AdminServers for different Apps.
          Anybody do this and know of any gotchas?

First of all I would say that rather then trying it in production if possible try to do it any other environment like System Test environment etc. which mimicks your Production environment. On the other hand let say you do dont have any such environment and you do it in Production make sure that WLS7.0sp2 is well tested on Solaris9 as it must be. I have not tried so far clustering in different OS versions but it should not be any issue. Better get in touch with BEA customer support before making such changes in production.

Hey, question about Creative Cloud being installed in more than one location. I often have people I work with come over to use my machines at my home when we are working on big projects. Would CC still work if I am working on my laptop from my account and some one else is using my PC and also working from my account as well? Or would I have to have another version of Adobe like CS6 or something installed on the computer for them to use it separately? I am interested in getting Adobe CC but want to know if it would be worth it considering that I would have to be able to use it simultaneously in two different locations in cases where I have persons over to work with me.
I am a student and would like to open the account for students .... Would I be able to create two separate accounts with my credentials if I can't use my account on my laptop and PC at the same time? Hoping to get some solid answers before I go paying for a service that leaves me handicapped. Thanks for the help in advance.

Camk you can activate your membership on up to two computers. The login is specific to the individual you would be the individual using it on either computer. If you wish to have multiple Users of the Creative Cloud then I would recommend investigating the Creative Cloud for Business option at Creative Cloud free trial & plans : Adobe Creative Cloud.

I have an older version of PSE and would like to download the upgrade - but I have 2 computers (laptop & desktop). Can I still download the upgrade on both?

Hi,
The license allows you to have two copies activated - laptop & desktop. I have elements on my desktop and laptop.
There is no real difference between an upgrade version and non-upgrade version - the upgrade version just needs two serial numbers - for the new version and for a previous version (if not installed on the system).

How can I work with two images at the same time?

I have downloaded Photoshop Elements 10 and I can not find the buttons for Minimize or Reset for the image. If I rightclick the miniature those options are grey. If I open two images so I have two miniatures in the holder and then go to Windows and Images the option Show Overlapping is grey but I can show Side by side. Then I can only shut down the images.

Time Machine: can it work with TWO users?

For reasons of corrupted Preferences (i.e. plists) I had to create a new User Account (where I had to "recreate" all personal settings/preferences) and transfer my data to this new account. Until I have verified all data and settings over the next few days I don't want to delete the "old" User Account, as you will understand.
Before creating the new user account, I have used Time Machine to backup my data (to a 2GB external HD). My question is: since TimeMachine backs up a Computer and not a User, can I now continue to use TimeMachine and be able to switch between users when in TimeMachine?
I think that the answer will be Yes, but I just want to be a 100% sure that I am not overwriting anything on the 'old' user account.

i have created some WI reports over a universe. I need to move the report and the universe to different CMS.But i'm not able to open the .unv file for the othere CMS in Designer, i'm getting FRM00008.Could some one let me know if i'm missing any thing in the universe that i have created. or do i need to modify some thing in there.

Take a textfield
Go to Object | Allow multiple lines
Go to Layout | Height | activate "Expand to fit"
Go to the initialize-Event or readyform (You have to change the _ for your textfield)     this.rawValue = "___________\n___________\n___________";
Go to the enter-Event   this.rawValue = null;
Go to the exit-Event
          if(this.rawValue == null)
                this.rawValue = "___________\n___________\n___________";
          }else{}
With this solution you can simulate the same as pattern see above.

I suspect most slowdowns occur because of complex audio, not the size of the project. It sometimes helps to export the audio to an AIFF file, then re-import that file back into the project and place it in its own audio track. When you disable the audio of the other tracks, playback is improved.
That makes it harder to edit a half-finished project, however. It's a technique best reserved for almost-finished projects.
You could export the timeline to the camera, then re-import it to a new project. That will both make the project smaller and "flatten" its audio and video. Most clips will return as the clips they are now.
70 minutes of video is ordinarily about 15GB, so something has increased the size substantially. (That's not normally a problem you have to worry about; the size of the project itself is probably not the problem.)

no. TM can only use one backup disk.

Yes. Reinstall iTunes. If that is the point at which you stopped trying the support suggestions then it makes sense to me, that you move on to the next suggestion and if reinstalling iTunes is the next suggestion, so be it.
However .... I too have issues that arise out of the blue with my iPad being recognized in iTunes and what I always do and it eventually works is to quit iTunes, restart my MacBook, and reboot my iPad.
Rebooting the iPad is the last thing that I do and only if I have no success with quitting iTunes and restarting the Mac. It may take a few tries to work, but if you are that dead set against reinstalling iTunes, then give it a try.

Thank you for your suggestion. I backup on itunes. I went to itunes, deleted syncing my contacts, then re-synced them. But the Facetime capability option continues to be there on most (not all, for some curious reason) of my contacts. I am not sure I posed my question correctly. I want to be able to FT with my family, so don't want to delete the FT capability totally from my iphone and ipad. But I don't want all these other iphone calls from various contacts to ring on my ipad as FT calls. I want a way to select with whom I have FT capabilities. Any further suggestions?
