Salve,
ho problemi su OS X 10.6.4 Server con il salvataggio di file Word ,Excel ma anche Pages. Dopo qualche minuto i programmi dicono che no riescono più a salvare sulla destinazione, nonostante la rete funzioni correttamente, o almeno credo. Al momento stiamo lavorando con Open Directory ma abbiamo provato anche con il Server Standalone. C'è qualcuno che puo' aiutarmi?Grazie!

I have problems on OS X 10.6.4 Server with saving Word, Excel as well as Pages. A few minutes later the programs say they no longer able to save on the target, although the network is working properly, I guess. We are currently working with Open Directory, but we also tested with the Standalone Server. Is there anyone who can 'help me? Thanks!

Obvious questions first:
- Can you save to the shared folder from any program?
- Have you run the Microsoft updater? You have to run multiple times until it til it says 'no new version available'

I have 2 problems creating a .ps file.
As i know, there are 2 ways of creating a Postcript file from a PDF.
The first is from the Print monitor. I go through menu File/Page Setup i give the exact dimensions from my spreaded pages and after that i go to Print and when this window opens,
i go down and left and i open the pop-up menu on"PDF" and i choose "Save PDF as Postscript"
There is where i get the above error message :
"Saving a PDF file when printing is not supported. Instead, choose File > Save."
And the second scenario, i get an equal problem.
If i go to Page setup and give the right dimensions of my spreaded document, after that i go to the File/Save as command, there is choose from the bottom pop-up menu, the option at Format: Postscript
If i do that i get the following message:
"The document could not be saved. An internal error occured."
What is wrong with all this?
Can anyone help me out?

Create a one word pdf file. Try converting to word. If that fails, try a complete uninstall, run the cleaner tool, then re-install.

File Save Error on Checkout

Has anyone else received an error message which says "File Save Error" when attempting to check out a document in the Solution Manager blueprint document store? We have a document which can be opened in display or change mode, and exported, but when trying to check out, users receive a message which states simply "File Save Error" with an "OK" button. Pressing OK closes the dialog message and the check out process cancels. Other documents checkout with no error. The error message looks like a standard Windows error, rather than an SAP error message.

I thought I looked at this. The name was changed, but SolMan history shows the old name, with a COLON (:)... of course a name cannot have a colon in the middle.
Right on the money.... thanks for prompting me to look again.
(But SAP still should address the error message... it simply left us in the dirt.)

Basically, these are multiple macro enabled spreadsheets from one client. It happens with no other clients who also use macros. They are all saved to our network, which has plenty of space. Any of our users that access these files have the same issue.

Take following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the Macro and File Blocker settings in the Trust Center.(File>Option>Trust center>Trust center settings)
Then we suggest to perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your Office program.

File Save for Web = Error: The operation could not be completed.

Installed photoshop CS6 trial Version 13.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate running in hyper-v virtual machine. Created a small image and clicked File Save for Web. This produced the error dialog "Error: The operation could not be completed."
I tried the following trouble shooting steps:
1. deleted the preferences
2. created a new user
3. re-installed both the operating system and photoshop
4. looked for permission issues
5. monitored procmon.exe to look for unusual errors
I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but it simply does not work.

Pls. clarify one of my simple doubt that, the functional owner have been asked to create a ERROR file(has given name as PR_ERROR_FILE), for the encountered errors, while uploading the data from flat file into Data Base for Purchase requisation-ME51N tx.

For any errors that occur, those should be written out to an error file so that users can review and correct.
The error file should be name PR_ERRORS_FILE

No this will be save in the aplication server only...on the given path so any one can read it and rectify the error.

have you tried doing a save as to a different location? If that doesn't work, do a search here. I seem to remember people having the same problem.
You could also try doing an xml export (I think 5.1 has that capability).

Ok So here it is
I've been working on a project all day, saving all along and suddenly at the end of the day I go to save one last time and I get an error of "Save Error: File Type Unknown". At first I thought there was an unsupported file type somewhere in the project so I searched out all my non-video elements and they all checked out OK.
I then started shutting down the machine at lunch and that seemed to remedy the problem at first, but now I get the error at least 6 times a week - VERY frustrating. I've tried doing save as, which results in either a full crash or the same error.
I thought that maybe somehow the constant frames files were getting corrupted during the course of editing some how and started trashing those - no change still get the error.
Also I am editing HDV and rendering out ProRes. So far no one has been able to help So I'm turning to you guys!

Why does FCP error "File Not Found" when I try to open my sequences????

I recently updated all of my software and the following day I started getting errors "file not found" when I would try to open a sequence. Now all of my sequences are being lost and I am losing time and money because I can't meet deadlines! This *****!!! With one sequence I had to reedit the entire thing from scratch and when I did for some reason the old one would then open. But the next time I opened FCP both sequences would error out. Following the "file not found" the computer responds with another error "error: out of memory" What the devil is going on with this crap?

I seem to have figured out what my problem was. After trying to build the same project (that failed on the Mac Pro) on my laptop and encountering the same errors, I realized that the problem had to be with one or more of my assets and not my new version of FCP, since my PowerBook is running FCP 5.0.4 and my Mac Pro is running FCP 5.1.2.
In my case the "corrupt" file was a Photoshop PSD file. In the past (FCP 4.5) I was able to use PSD files with hidden layers. I would merge the visible layers into one layer, keep the hidden layers and save the file. Once in FCP, I imported the PSD file and kept right on truckin'. I've done this for years. For some reason now with FCP 5.1.2 (and 5.0.4), that's not flying anymore. Once I "Flattened" the PSD file in Photoshop (deleting all of the hidden layers) I was able to build the project without any errors.
Interestingly, the technique I used to figure out which file was "corrupt" also allowed me to salvage parts of some of my "lost" sequences. I saw this posted in a forum at Creative Cow (creativecow.net). Basically, I opened up the project, clicked the OK button after the File Not Found error, went into the Browser, right clicked on the offending sequence, selected "Make Offline". When I double clicked the sequence it opened in the timeline with all of my assets offline. Then in the timeline, one by one, I right clicked on each clip and selected "Reconnect Media". Once I linked up the media, if I didn't get an error message, I would save as a new project (to salvage what WAS working), and go to the next clip. I did this until I found the offending PSD files.
I hope this helps. Now it's time to play "catch-up"

Pasting from a web page into a File-Save dialog no longer works; causes a freeze-up

When I place an order on Amazon, I copy the order number, then print the invoice to .pdf. When the file save dialog comes up, I paste in the order number as part of the file name. I used to, that is. At some point the pasting part no longer worked: nothing (visible anyway) is pasted, but something is happening, as the file save process hangs, and I have to use task manager to kill it. Then, the print process is trashed - if you try to print again, you get an error - and I have to restart Firefox to clear that.
This copy/paste procedure works fine in IE & Chrome.

The only way I was able to reproduce what you described is to run the script after copying a picture.
Here is a refined version.
It make two attempts to grab text items from the clipboard.
If both failed, it send an error message.

Twice Today Photoshop CS5 Just Quit During a File - Save As

I've been doing a lot of raw image processing today with Photoshop 12.0.4 64 bit.
On two occasions, after having opened an image through Camera Raw, working on it in Photoshop proper, then attempting a File - Save As so as to save the PSD, Photoshop just quit. Disappeared. No error, no warning, no nothing, not even in the Windows Event Logs. Kind of a PIA when you're finally happy with an image and it dies when you try to save it. I know I'm not the first to report this; I recall discussing exactly this issue with someone else a few months back.
I narrowed it down to EXACTLY what I was doing in both cases when it quit:
I had chosen File - Save As, and gotten the Save As dialog on the screen.
The default folder wasn't where I wanted to save, which in both cases was C:\TEMP, so I typed exactly the following characters, replacing entirely the filename shown:
C : \ t e m p \
It was instantly upon typing the second backslash in both cases that Photoshop left the building.
When it DOESN'T quit, this is the exact point where normally the Explorer dialog puts up a list of files in that folder, as shown in this screen grab:
Notably I have a LOT of files in that folder. I haven't cleaned it up in an age, and I guess I should do so on the chance that maybe the list is just so long that someone didn't allocate enough space internally...

I'm not sure whether it's just the number of files in that folder, the large number of images I'm processing today, something specific I'm running (e.g., HDR Toning), or something that's recently changed that's causing this (for example, I installed ATI's Catalyst 11.9 day before yesterday).
I'm going to reprocess the same image again, and I'll probably do substantially the same things. I'll add more info to this thread if I see it again.

Bah, no more than I typed the above, than I specifically tested the exact same sequence and reproduced the problem again. This was a relatively short editing sequence.
Notably the current folder the dialog was open to as I was typing the path was the one from which I opened the file, which contains rather a lot of raw image files. The dialog wasn't showing any of them because the default filename was file type .psd, which didn't match any files in that folder, so while your thoughts about FastPictureViewer maybe working on thumbnails could possibly be pertinent, it seems less likely.
I'm going to try to nail this down to a reproducible set of steps. Notably, one thing I'm sure I did in all 3 cases, which I don't often do, was a Crop with Perspective checked (and corners moved).
Another thing I did was Image - Adjust - HDR Toning. I just tried again without doing that and no quit. Unfortunately, I did HDR Toning and still no quit.

When a save dialog box is closed by clicking the cancel button it will throw an error. The Dialog box you are getting might be because of that error handling.
The best solution is the one you find it by yourself

The compilation within Studio works with a bit smaller (like 35MBytes) project, thus I think the problem is some sort of memory handling.
The problem comes up while it is trying to compie/load 'external resources': it still works with 512M or even 256M of heap before this operation.
Some weird thing is that I cannot set Xmx >640M, nor launcher.XXMaxPermSize > 1024M (winXP SP2, 2G RAM). While I'm sure that nothing is hacked around the memory allowance of Windows (i.e. how much memory does it allow for particular executables), I think this operation should be tested to work even on 256M heap...
On the other hand, the ANT compilation works well.

I have had some errors in my project, which ALBPM6.0 said to be OK, like defining a String array attribute 'not null' and setting no default value; or defining some object to be abstract and instantiating it.
However these errors are not always reported, e.g. during catalog compilation: XY must be explicitly instantiated before being used since it does not have a default initialization... thus made it static (however, it has been used as static all the time).
I had to hack CatalogPublisher a bit so that I can read them on stdout, and correct those syntax errors.
For this possibility, iterate over the non-empty foCheckerListener.getPresentationErr() in CatalogPublisher after checkXO().

Hello Colleagues, I am creating an analysis in build 576, everything goes well, the algorithm calculates the needed values, but when I try to save the analysis, I receive the following error message: "An error occurred: Save document failed / An error occurred while saving the document: <PATH> (HDB 00055)".
Does anyone know what could cause this error message?

Hi Henry,
I am using PA 1.0.11 and received this error; any update on this fix for SAP PA. Does this happen for a particular data source.
I am currently using Excel as source and whenever I try to use this data; I get this even if I move the data to a new file or rename a file. I tried to check the same issue with a different file and it works fine. This file worked fine a day back.
Please let me know if this is unusual for this version.
