OS X 10.8.3 Hibernate unwanted session closing

I have a quite fresh install of 10.8.3 (not an upgrade - I reinstalled from scratch), and I have noticed that each time I wake up my MBP (13" early 2011) from hibernation, all applications have been closed (if applicable), or I can see warning popups asking if I want to shutdown the app (exactly the same as when you want to close your session with unsaved documents). I thereby concluded that os x sends a session closing signals just before going to hibernation mode. I have never seen anything like this !
Any help welcome!

Solution : I had switched on by inadvertance the automatic user deconnexion in System Preferences / Security / Confidentiality / Advanced (60mn by default).

  • Session closed due to Error: Could not Resolve hos...

    Hi,
    I''m trying to sort out connection issues for my auntie. She has a BT Homehub 5 with the latest firmware.
    However, she is suffering from reboots and lost connections all the time. I have reviewed the log files and it is full of the following messages:
    74.270000 CWMP Session closed due to error: Could not resolve host
    Any ideas as i am stumped. Its a fairly recent installation ( 4 months or so) and she has only recently started to use the Wifi. It was ok when wired.
    Simon

    If it is DEFINITELY a wireless problem only, then download InSSider and run the program. This will tell you if you have are using a congested wifi channel.......
    You can then go into the settings and after picking a less congested channel, turn off the "smart wireless" setting.....
    Although the wireless problem wouldn't cause the rebooting problem......
    If you found this post helpful, then please click the star on the left, after all, I'm only trying to help........

  • How do I fix this error? Your last firefox session closed unexpectedly. Firefox gives 2 option and neither start Firefox.

    While using linux I am getting the following message - "Your last session closed unexpectedly. You can restore the tabs and windows from the previous session, or start a new session if you think the problem was related to a page you were viewing". When I select either "Start new session" or "Restore session" Firefox does not start and I have no access to the internet.

    Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
    See:

    Make sure that you close Firefox properly.

  • Bug: Your last browsing session closed unexpectedly message after every boot

    It appears HP Smart Web Printing 4.51 has a bug. After installing it on Vista Ultimate 64-bit Internet Explorer 8 (32-bit version), everytime I shutdown then start up the computer and open up Internet Explorer 8, I get the message:  "Your last browsing session closed unexpectedly. Restore your last session or Go to your home page". And this happens after I close down Internet Explorer 8 normally. This never happened before.
    I did a test: closed down Internet Explorer 8 normally, uninstalled  HP Smart Web Printing 4.51, and rebooted my computer. The  "Your last browsing session closed unexpectedly" message did not appear anymore. Definitely a bug.

    I'm sure that there can be other causes to this with IE, and if you are not running HP software on your XP then it is not related, however it is the cause for us running smart web printing on our particular machines.
    I have four: two deesktops, two laptops, running from XP sp3 to win 7 RTM - all running ie8, all started the same issue after install of SWP latest version, note latest version. and all stop after that process is either prevented from running on startup, or the program is removed. Enough proof for me considering the history of this company's SW packages.
    If I dont find another solution I plan on disabling the notification thru a registry edit. It's annoying more than helpful to receive it every single time you open for an initial session, plain and simple, and a result of bad coding.

    10.0.1.5 is my Macbook Pro's IP address on my network and this log continues showing the session closing and logging in every 5 minutes or so. I don't know why it would be doing this. If I restart the router, all is fine for a day or so but it goes back to doing this again. Any suggestions?

  • Session closed if I don't move my application for an hour, why?

    I have a Form 6i patch 16 application connected to 8i, everything is found. I just upgraded the database to 10g, application still 6i. The problem is it seems that if I don't do anything with my application for about 1 hour, it will disconnected with the database (seems session closed). I need to restart my application again. How to solve this problem?
    Thanks!!!

    You could have a look at note 109471.1 on MetaLink.
    There is an environment setting FORMS90_TIMEOUT that specifies the timeout after which a session should be killed. It's in minutes and you can set it in the default.env in your OracleHome/forms90/server directory.
    However, you can also specify a hartbeat paramter in your base...html:
    <PARAM NAME="heartBeat" VALUE="7">
    If this heartbeat is lower then your timeout the Forms session will never timeout as the heartbeat signal is sent before the actual timeout occurs. However, it will catch a client that suddenly dropped his connection. Such a user will no longer send the heartbeat signal and will thus run into the timeout cleaning up his session.
    For Forms 6i this should be the same except you'll have to use FORMS60_TIMEOUT

  • Java hibernate oracle sessions never get closed

    Hi all,
    I'm opening some Oracle sessions from a java-hibernate app. When a shutdown my java-hibernate the oracle sessions remain opened, even if the java process is not seen as running with "ps -fea | grep java".
    The problem is that this oracle sessions never die, they remain there and the only way to kill them is to either manually kill oracle process, or to restart the oracle instance or to restart the unix box where oracle resides.
    My java/hibernate app always close the session with a final statement in the source code, no matter what.
    Thanks in advanced.

  • JSF - spring - hibernate and session

    Hi,
    I'm currently using hibernate spring and JSF
    1/ the first problem
    In the JSF common header page I try to test if a bean is in the session scope in order to show login or logout link, and the test always fails : the logout link is always displayed.

    It depends on how you want to reprecate the session btwn instances or cluters
    there are three kinds File System, Memory to Memory, HA
    You can configure it from this property in the admin console
    Configuration on a cluster -> Availability Service -> Web Container Availability -> Persistence Type:

  • Hibernate-JSF session.get problem

    Hello,
    I use Hibernate+JSF.
    I open Hibernate session for each request and close it when the request is finished.
    For each logged user I keep userId, companyId and several more Ids.
    I have a userSession instance containing this data as well as several methods to get Hibernate objects related with user. For example, in order to get company object:
      public Company getActiveCompany()
        CompanyDAO companyDAO = new CompanyDAO();
        Company activeCompany = companyDAO.getCompany(activeCompanyId);
        return activeCompany;
      }The problem is araised in screen in which I show companies data.
    It seems like Hibernate has a problem of loading the same object more than once.
    For example, in Companies screen, the active company of a User is shown as well as a dropdown filled with companies. The dropdown has a converter named: CompanyConverter which returns a Company object for a given company id.
    When switching Company on the dropdown a "valueChangeActiveCompany" event is triggered and the new selected Company should be set to the User. The problem is that the Company object was already loaded to show the active Company on the top of the screen, and the data that is extracted from the converter seems to be empty . . .
    The code of the valueChanged is:
      public void valueChangeActiveCompany(ValueChangeEvent event)
        activeCompany = (Company)event.getNewValue();  // Here the object is empty . . .
        log.info("Setting new Active Company: " + activeCompany +
                                            " for user: " + userSession.getUser());
        try
          userSession.setActiveCompany(activeCompany);
        catch (HibernateException ex)
          FacesUtil.addErrorMessage("setup.company.view.error.changeCompany");
      }  This problem causes the value of the new active company not to be set, therefore it is not possible to switch between active Companies . . .
    Why Hibernate behaves weird when loading an object for the second time on the same session ?
    Is there a good way of solving this problem ?
    Guy.

    hi
    i had similar problem.
    i solved it but i dont know whether its the correct solution.
    i placed the magaed bean in the session scope
    in the first page i add a new variable and stored that value in the avtionlistener method. when i click on back button in the 3rd page i get the value which i stored in the first page and display the data.
    i hope this is ur problem. if this is the problem let me know i can send u the code snippet

  • Unwanted session for UserName secEnterprise:QaaWSServletPrincipal

    Hi all
    I had an unwanted entry for UserName 'secEnterprise:QaaWSServletPrincipal' showing up in BO Enterprise CMC Sessions with a 'Last Logon Time' dating back a few days. I restarted the server machine with no luck -- the session is still there. I even have my 'Idle Connection Timeout' set at 30 minutes but for some reason or the other this has had no effect on this session whatsever.
    Presently I am juggling limited InfoView access licenses (only 5 CALs); and certainly can do away with this unneccessary bother taking up one spot for no reason. I don't even know how it got there in the first place. How do I kill this session; and/or prevent this from ever happening again? Please help.
    My environment is:
    Crystal Reports Server 2008 (version 12.0.0.683),
    BO X1 R3,
    Windows Server 2003 EE SP2

    Hi,
    We experienced the same issue during our first installation of the system.  This user is from the Query as a Web Service program included with Business Objects.  From my understanding, unless you are writing applications to use the service, this session is not necessary.  In the User section of the CMC, we just disabled the account (DO NOT REMOVE the account as you may need it in the future), the did restart of the services needed to run Business Objects.
    On a RHEL System:
    ./stopservers  --> Stop the SIA
    ./tomcatshutdown.sh  --> Stop the Application Sever
    ./mysqlshutdown  --> Stop the repository DB
    ./mysqlstartup  --> Start the repository DB
    ./tomcatstartup.sh  --> Start the Application Server
    ./startservers  --> Start the SIA
    Depending on your platform, these may be different, but the concepts should be similar.
    Hope this helps,
    Dave

  • Using cl_gui_alv_grid class in report , but when no data , entire session closed ?

    Hi ,
    I am using cl_gui_alv_grid for one of my report . It is working fine when there are reocords , but when there is no record
    entire session will be closed from selection screen itself.
    Having class with data /method declaration and an event class ..
    Appreciate your help..
    Kind regards
    Rama

    Hello Siva ,
    Code an EVENT for NO DATA in the main class. I guess you have already done the same
    Having class with data /method declaration and an event class ..
    Now while implementing the method for that event , don't forget to write LEAVE LIST-PROCESSING also.
    For eg :
    Now RAISE this event when SY-SUBRC is NE 0 for the SELECT statement i.e no data found.

  • Is there any way to restore lost sessions closed accidently?

    I had many tabs open but accidently closed the firefox without saving it. When I opened next time, I lost all the tabs. Is there any way to restore those tabs.
    I saw a posting which refering to renaming a file called sessionstore.bak but I could not find that file. I need a permanenet solution to this. I don't want to save everything in the bookmark. Alternatively, is there any way to save multiple opened sessions which can be retrieved any time.

    Apparently new in FireFox 4, possibly due to customer demand, there is a selection to Restore Previous Session in the History menu. Unfortunately, I must use it way too OFTEN.
