OS X 10.8 Game Center won't load past log in and splash screen

I upgraded to mountain lion on wednesday and noticed Game Center does not allow me to log in. A splash screen appears over the log in screen (green with brown border) with no text in it and just a <cancel> button.
If I cancel this box, the log in screen appears, but when I enter my apple Id and password, nothing happens. I have also tried creating a new ID without success. it also does move off the log in screen.

It's working now.
(I am in the US).
I eventually read a solution that worked! I signed into Game Center using an iPad, and now I can sign into GC on my Mac.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- sign out and the sign back into Game Center
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

After upgrade to IOS7.1 Game Center won't load my games

Hi everybody
I have an iPad 2 and I've resently upgraded to IOS 7.1, but after the upgrade Game Center won't show my games and I can't load games like ie. Dragonvale.
How can I fix that?
I've resat my device several times, force shut all apps, logged in and out from GC and changed my password.
What else can I do? I've run out of ideas!
Please help me!

My powerbook won't load past the grey apple logo screen

I had been away on business for a few weeks and yesterday I decided to run the latest updates for my powerbook. In the middle of it the computer froze for what I think is the first time since I bought it 2 years ago. I ended up having to shut the computer down with the power button. When I turned it on it wouldn't and still won't advance past the grey apple logo screen with the progress indicator. It just sits there for hours on end if I let it.
So far I've tried the following, all to no avail.
Booting in safe mode I get the same result.
Zapping the Ram
Resetting the PMU
Reinstalling OS X, during which the computer either randomly shuts down or goes to sleep and then shuts down and requires me to reset the PMU in order to start again.
Running the hardware diagnosis. I did this once and it froze during the logic board test, 1 minute 6 seconds in to it.
Anyone have any ideas that don't involve spending 900 dollars on a logic board? Thanks a lot for any help.

joeuu, thanks for the reply. i checked the airport and the ram and both seem to be seated properly.
i ran the quick hardware diagnosis and it came back showing everything was fine.
when i ran the extended one i got more progress than i did the first time. it got to the RAM diagnosis (about 6:45 seconds in) and then froze - i let it sit like this for an hour and a half to make sure it was actually frozen.
i also tried to run the disc utility from the installation disc and it just sits there with the progress wheel spinning, but nothing else is going on.

Game Center won't load

Game center has always been slow, but now it fails to login. I can't see or do anything in the app. All other iCloud services work fine and the official status page says it is online. I tried quitting and relaunching but no dice.
The only factor out of the ordinary is that I'm accessing it from the Philippines. But it's also a Philippines-based account. Could this be the cause?

Try:

- Restoring the iPod from backup via iTunes

motherboard in question is a p35 platinum ms7345

this is a system that I built over 8 months ago. the only thing I
did was upgrade the cpu to a E8400( from a e6750). I had no previous
problems. but after the upgrade. I first received an error
= attempt to overclock failed = ( cant quote but as I remembered it)
press any button to reset bios.( I have received this message before with the old cpu but with a restart the system went on as normal). After the system restart, it just sits on the splash screen. I never attempted
to overclock the memory. the jb1 & jb2 jumpers are on 1 & 2 pins(same way it
came from newegg). I tried to use different memory( in all of the slots) same outcome.
I unplugged
all other hardware except vid card> same outcome. I even used a different
vid card> same outcome.
system specs
core 2 e8400
msi p35 platnum
2gb(2x1gb) adata ddr2 800
any suggestions? I appreciate any help. I hope the board isn't finished

There are three possible solutions to solve the situation:
1) Install a processor supported by the current BIOS Version to be able to properly turn on your system and then update the BIOS to the latest Version to be able to use your E8400/E0 (update should be done from DOS only).
2) Ask in a local computer shop or contact your reseller to do the same thing for you.
3) Connect an internal floppy drive and a PS/2 Keyboard and then try to force the system into AMI BIOS Recovery Mode. Instructions:

Rename the desired AMI BIOS file to AMIBOOT.ROM and save it on a floppy disk. e.g. Rename A7345IMS.1xx to AMIBOOT.ROM
Insert this floppy disk in the floppy drive. Turn On the system and press and hold Ctrl-Home to force update. It will read the AMIBOOT.ROM file and recover the BIOS from the A drive.
When 4 beeps are heard you may remove the floppy disk and restart the computer.
Even though the AMI BIOS Recovery Procedure is the only chance you have to solve the situation without installing a different processor, it does not work in all cases. However, as it is an easy procedure, it is at least worth a try.

Soundtrack Pro won't load... flashes quick splash screen, then quits.

I have a question... about how to get Soundtrack Pro working again.
It worked fine before, but now when I try to load it up, the splash screen (the logo and company info) pops up REAL quick, so fast you can barely see it, and then the program just shuts down abruptly.
I tried removing preference files and reinstalling, then uninstalling with FCS Remover, then reinstalling. I also tried reinstalling all of Final Cut Studio, but didn't use FCS Remove to uninstall before doing so. Anything short of another complete uninstall/reinstall that I can try to fix this issue?
My machine: silver MacBook, 10.5.8, 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM. Plenty of hard drive space available. NVIDIA GeForce 9400M.

Mine started doing this recently. I had STP 3.0.1 and FCS 7.0.2 installed on my Mac Pro running 10.6.3 (with all updates installed). I tried deleting the STP preferences and AU and effects caches. Still no go. Tried to restore it from my Time Machine backup but I only started using TM a week ago and that didn't help either.

I've got another copy of FCS/STP on another machine (MacBook Pro with 10.5.8), and it's running FCS 7.0 and STP 3.0. One odd thing I noticed is that the old STP application file is over 200MB and the new one is only 85MB . So I copied the old (3.0) app over the network and replaced my new one (3.0.1) with the old. Problem solved; it works now, but I hope I don't have serial number problems.
Apparently the upgrade to 7.0.2/3.0.1 has screwed things up. Good grief. And this is just off the Quicktime Export debacle of a couple weeks ago. What's wrong with Apple? I didn't used to have this many problems.

Game center stuck on loading mode

Game Center is stuck on loading mode. Bought Jenga app and now can't play app because Game Center won't load.

Recently i've found the solution to this problem. Go to Settings, General, Reset and choose Reset network settings. And bingo!

Iphone 4 won't load past logo screen

While on vacation, my phone went black. I thought the phone had gotten too hot, so when I got back to our room, I plugged it into the charger and after a few minutes it said "activation required", then brought me to the "connect to itunes" screen. Of course, on vacation, I didn't bring my computer! So after a week gone without my phone, I am connecting it to itunes and it won't load past the silver apple logo screen and itunes won't recognize it!! Help!! Is my phone trash or can it be saved???

My solution: I opened the phone, removed the battery, cleaned out the battery connector and reattached the battery. The phone turned back on and showed the low battery sign. I had done this before and it didn't work. Apparently the problem was I hadn't properly connected them. You need to make sure it's locked on tight so when you close your phone slides on easily.

My game center won't connect to the game I'm trying to play and what is happing is the game would come one. But when its loading it will stop right in the middle of it and won't do anything. I don't know if its the game or game center. I believe its the game center because it doesn't open the apps inside of it on the first page. What should i do?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Java has been updated as well as firefox but java refuses to run - drop down menus won't work (ebay) and pogo game windows won't load.....HELP

Ever since I updated firefox to 3.5.16 java ahs stopped working. Drop down menu's in ebay don't, windows from links (such as tracking in ebay) don't work, pogo game windows won't load or will load the widow frame but not the game itself. I work online and run and online business and this wastes a lot of my time. Idon't want to use IE but might have to - I have looked in the forums and online and can't find a solution. Your help would be greatly appreciate it.

.local indicates local activity by the computer host Williams-macbook-pro.local=hostname@domain . The UID of 501 is the standard UID of a local computer administrator.
Copy and paste this little script in your terminal:

A return of "i am local" ensures there is no remote connection to your machine (through SSH).
In the future, to avoid remote entry, I would recommend not posting your IP address though.
