OS X get "frozen" often while I run in internet ...

Question

Hi people,
I remark that in that often my mac get "frozen" suddenly and I have to restart holding down the power key for few seconds..that's happend also 5-6 time pro day..sometimes less.
After restarting, it says that OS X shut down and ask me to send a report to Apple ...I press "Send" but it disappears !
All this happend while I'm on internet. I use Sitecom wireless key adaptator and modem-router...

I want try to reinstall OS X and format the hard but
I want install it before on a ext HD that i've
partioned in 4 parts ...do you know if I do it, I
will lose all the files on the Ext HD or just in the
partition I choose?
As long as you don't erase the entire drive before installing, you should be fine. The reassurance will be if the installer says that it is installing on a partition of the same name as the partition you created. But we don't know how you "partitioned" the drive, or the filesystem format you chose for the desired partition. You will only be able to install on certain types of partitions appropriate for your computer. If your computer is the iBook G4 that you have in your signature, it will have to be an APM format, MacOS Extended (journaling doesn't matter) in order to boot.
Do you think it can be usefull to
run diagnostic from ext HD instead DVD?
You will not gain anything. Run the hardware diagnostics from your DVD that came with the computer.
Or..installing the OS in the ext HD I can check if
also there the problem carry on..right?
All that installing/running the OS from your external HD will show, if things work OK from there, is that it's either:
(a) a software problem on your original disk (file system corruption, or bad bits on some key piece of software); or
(b) a hardware problem with your original disk.
Try booting from the install DVD, run Disk Utility, check (repair) the filesystem on your original disk.
