Os x lion doesn't shut down automatically

I have for about two weeks a problem with the automatic shutdown.I scheduled a shutdown in the Energy Saver preference panel but for some reason it stopped to work.Everytime my imac is in sleep mode the clock seems to stuck,preventing the mac from shutting down at the proper time.Has anyone experience with this issue? I hard rebooted, and deleted the apple.compowermanagment file from the library.I thank you in advance

First restart in Safe Mode , this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more cache has become corrupt. Next reset both the SMC and PRAM per the instructions below. Let us know if those do or don't work for you.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

I had tried 3 times delete "com.apple.dock.plist" and conduct "sudo reboot /w", deleted "itunes help" from login item, It work for one day or two then problem come back again.

If you're just trying to shut down the computer, holding the power button down until the screen goes black will do just fine. Can't help you with the plists, though.

the thing is that when i did the clean install they did check with a hardware test first and nothing was wrong, i guess it was a false-positive, is there anything in the kernel report from which i can say it's either hardware or software related

Have you solve your problem yet? Mine was the same - it's Dockables "fault"
Were you able to boot into Safe Mode, by pressing and holding Shift key at Start up, I think you need to press and hold a while, till you see a progress bar below the Apple logo.
Then you can quickly go and delete all the Dockables.
If you found another way to boot up, also delete Dockables immediately.

Satellite A200 shuts down automatically

My Satellite A200 is less than 10 months old but it has started to just shut down all of a sudden without warning.
When I try to turn it back on it often doesn't reach the Vista screen before powering off again.
Interestingly, when I remove the charger cable it seems to be able to boot up and survive at least for a longer duration.
Any ideas please?

I think the notebook shuts down automatically due to a higher internal temperature.
The point is that such notebooks supports a overheating protection and if the temperature increases to a critical level, the notebook shuts down automatically to prevent the hardware from damage.
In most cases the air cannot circulate properly due to clogged cooling grilles and therefore the temperature increases to a higher level.
In my opinion the cooling ventilators should be cleaned up.
The compressed air spray is a professional tool which could helps you to get rid of dust and debris.

G5 Quad Shuts down Automatically

Hi, i have a G5 2.5GHz Quad, i am using it for Final Cut Studio.
My problem is, when i am working on any application, the system shuts down automatically. once replaced the RAM it worked fine, but now again the same problem.
i would really appreciate if anybody can get me out of this problem.

I have not found an Official Explanation of the "PMU -122" error code.
As RAM changes provided a temporary fix, you could try -
Run the Apple Hardware Test and Memtest - link at the bottom of page here

Note - it doesn't find all RAM problems.
If no problems are found
Remove any RAM that was not supplied by Apple with the G5.
Also you could disconnect all non-essential peripherals and leaving just display, keyboard and mouse; unplug from the mains and leave for at least 30 mins; re-connect mains plug to G5(to earth the casing), then reset the SMU/PMU

You can shut down and restart your iPad to see if this helps.
If not, you may want to reset the iPad and reinstall / resync it.
If that still doesn't help, make an appointment with the expert bar at an apple store or call support for assistance.

If you are unable to power on your iPhone you may want to troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.

Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.

After using iTunes my Mac doesn't shut down!

My MacBookPro doesn't shut down after using iTunes. I have try anything and the apple support can't also help me.
I can only stop my Mac with the power button. If I don't use iTunes I have no problems to shut down the Mac.

Adobe Reader is free. It always has been.
You have obviously downloaded and installed Acrobat (30 day trial version) and the trial period has expired.
You need to uninstall Acrobat (using the Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features [Vista/7])
Then run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
to completely remove the Acrobat installer files.
Then download Reader 9, install it, and go about reading PDFs for free.

          After i install weblogic6.1 and run default server, I got the fowllowing message
          and then server is shut down automatically, I tried it days before, and it works,
          why not work now?

Most likely you have another WebLogic instance already listening on 7001.

How long are you leaving it on the charger?
Are you connecting it directly to an electrical outlet or trying to charge via USB? USB may not provide enough power to adequately charge the device if the battery is that low.
If none of that helps, then the only option would be a warranty replacement as either the battery or system board is bad.
