  • Creative cloud desktop app blank - Mac

    Hi,
I have been experiencing the issue with a "blank" screen when logged into the Creative Cloud Desktop. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling the desktop app multiple times and still no screen or visible apps. Also, I followed the instructions in locating the OOBE folder... I was unable to locate the file suggested to change even after making all hidden files visible. In my recent attempt to locate this file the entire OOBE folder has been deleted (I am unable to locate this folder anywhere on my computer or trash) and I am still experiencing the "blank" screen when logged in. How would I go about fixing this all across the board? Would I need to reinstall all of adobe and its apps? Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi Kandee_Leigh,
    Please try below steps:
1> Uninstall Creative Cloud Desktop app. (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html#Uninstall apps)
2> Navigate to the OOBE folder:
    Mac OS: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
Note: The <user account>/Library/ folder is hidden after OS 10.7, follow the instructions here to access it: Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion
    Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    rename OOBE to OOBE.old
Then install Creative Cloud from below given link:
Free Creative Cloud | Download Adobe Creative Cloud free trial
Please, let us know how it goes.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Problem with Creative Cloud Desktop App in Mavericks

I have posted a couple of times about this but no one seems to be answering. There seems to be a bug with the Creative Cloud Desktop app and Mac OS Mavericks.
I have the newest version of them installed on a brand new MacBook Pro and I have had problems ever since with the connection to the Creative Cloud when I wake the MacBook Pro from sleep. Often I will have a red exclamation point on the icon in the menu bar because it can't connect to see if there are updates to the apps. Or the Behance tab will show that the last time my Behance feed was updated was a long time ago.
If I quit the Creative Cloud application it will connect with no problems and update the Behance feed and any apps that need updating. But once I put the MacBook Pro to sleep and wake it again I have the connectivity issue.
This is becoming a huge pain to have to quit the Creative Cloud all of the time. Would someone please offer up a suggestion. Is this a known bug that Adobe is working on? If not, how do we let them know about it?
I have tried re-installing Creative Cloud but that did nothing. This didn't start happening until I got Mavericks on a new laptop.

I am experiencing issues similar to the post above, with smaller floating windows but no dialouge. I uninstalled creative cloud desktop then re-installed- Issue is partly fixed, but now I get this:

  • Please Help- Forum Solutions Don't Solve Blank Creative Cloud Desktop App Problem!

I'm using Windows 7 and simply want to download a trial version of InDesign.  I downloaded the Creative Cloud desktop app and it's blank.  Thinking I still need to do more on the Adobe Creative Cloud web site I went and clicked on the download under the InDesign icon there.  It says it's downloading but there's nothing shown on my screen to indicate that's the case- and sure enough nothing is actually being downloaded.
I have tried several times the solution mentioned in other posts, restarted my computer but nothing makes the Creative Cloud app appear anything but blank.
Can anyone tell me what's going on and what I need to do to download a trial of InDesign?
    Thanks.

Thanks very much for the link.
I systematically implemented each of the recommended fixes:
    -  Verified I'm connected to the Internet (obviously)
    -  Verified I can access secure sites
    -  Checked "hosts" file, verified I have access to activation servers for CS6 or later (but not for not CS5.5), but in attempting to reset the hosts file, did not find any references to "activate.adobe.com.  Here's what I saw:
    -  Verified that the GlobalSign Root CA certificate is enabled ("enabled only for the following purposes") and did not change any of the checked boxes in the list.
After taking all these steps, the situation remains the same- blank Creative Cloud App.
    Any further suggestions?
    Thanks again for the assistance!

  • My Creative Cloud Desktop App says that apps are installed that aren't.

Important thing to note: I system restored yesterday, which removed the programs that I had installed the day before.
After my earlier discussion received no answer, I searched for more solutions and found one from only two weeks ago that now suggested that the OOBE folder I was renaming was not the correct one. I should go into Program Files/Common Files/Adobe and rename the OOBE folder there to OOBE_old. While I'm searching for this I'm on the phone with a customer service representative I annoyingly cannot remember the name of who is asking for remote control of my computer, which I am loathe to give him, obviously. So I tell him that I'm in the process of executing this solution which he says is fine. So, I execute the solution and finally, the Creative Cloud Desktop App does not launch with a blank screen! It actually asks for my username and password! I enter it and get to the normal page where it has the list of installed apps etc. Except, there is no trace of those installed apps on my computer, indeed, the Creative Cloud Files folder is empty. They are not in my list of installed programs. Because, of course, they were removed yesterday by the System Restore. But, it now does not give me the option to reinstall it. I tell the customer service representative this. Then, the customer service representative hangs up on me. Hangs up on me.
I still don't have a solution, and the man who could have given me one clearly did not deign to do so. Is he representative of your customer service?
I more care about this problem, to be perfectly honest.

For the benefit of anyone who experiences the same problems as me, this is what I did to solve it:
I executed the Adobe CleanerTool to wipe Creative Cloud. Then I executed it again to wipe all evidence of Creative Cloud apps. Now! It works! No thanks to the customer service.

  • Creative cloud desktop app show APPD download error

Creative Cloud desktop app show APPS 'download error' - gives the option to reload applications or contact customer service
    Reload doesn't work
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app - same error
Trouble began after I attempted to download a Bridge update which wouldn't complete

Spent 2.5 hours on support chat and screen sharing with adobe support today, and after many uninstalls, CC clean ups etc, they could not get it working.
Like you, it has always worked until today.
The only thing we could get to work was to login to os x as root user and run Creative cloud from there.
It's a PITA, but I am used to it because my desktop CC installer has been broken since last year, so I now have two computers with broken CC installers.
OS X Mavericks: Enable and disable the root user
    good luck

  • Why can't I launch my Creative Cloud Desktop App? (I get Error -1712)

I have the Creative Cloud Desktop app downloaded and installed on my iMac (Early 2009/Mavericks OS). When I try to open it I get error -1712. Up until today I have been able to launch it. I cleared out my caches completely today so am wondering if that has something to do with it (cookies?). I can launch other Creative Cloud Apps such as InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator. I am having font sync issues with TypeKit and InDesign as well--typekit says my fonts are synced, InDesign says they are not. Help!

You might try restarting your computer and then attempt downloading Creative Cloud again. In case you still face this issue please share the screenshot.
    Thanks,

  • Creative cloud desktop app won't let me sign in

The Creative Cloud desktop app hasn't worked for at least a week now on my Windows 8.1/x64 machine.  I've been trying to get Adobe Muse, but until tonight, the app only showed the creative cloud banner and a white screen.  I uninstalled and reinstalled it twice without success.  PhotoshopCC works and appears to be signed in, and I was able to sign into the website but if I try to download Muse, it just brings up the blank Creative Cloud application.
So I signed out of Photoshop and wasn't able to sign in again -- it said my password was invalid.  So I requested the password change email, got that, followed the instructions, and it said my link had timed out and to request the password change link again.  So I did that and this time I was able to change my password.  The Creative Cloud app is still all white.
So I signed back in using PhotoshopCC and that finally worked.  I also signed into the website.  I killed the Creative Cloud app and restarted it.  This time, it thought for a bit and offered me a login.  But whenever I log in, it immediately says
You've been signed out.  Please sign in to continue.
    Endless loop.
What gives?  I see a lot of complaints and a banner on one page that says "service has been restored".  It clearly hasn't.
Any ideas?  Is this still an Adobe glitch?  I sure hope Adobe offers a service credit for this frustration and lack of ability to work.

I've been banging my head on a hard surface way too much today.
I don't need to call tech support, just to start banging my head all over again.
I can honestly tell you that Tech Support does not want to hear from me right now... I'm pissed, frustrated and ready to yell at somebody over the phone about my bad day that Adobe created for me.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App Manager still does not work - HELP?

Using Windows 7, have Adobe subscription, cannot get the CC desktop Application Manager to work under any circumstances! This is driving me crazy, paying for the subscription, cannot update any programs, because I cannot access anything. I urgently need to finish a job where I have previously used a font I have in my typekit - but of course I cannot access the typekit so cannot get the font - this is urgent.
Can someone please help - I have uninstalled all reference to Creative Cloud Desktop App, restarted computer, re-installed. Nothing, uninstalled everything - changed OOBE folders in both locations to _old, restarted, reinstalled, nothing. Uninstalled again, ran the CC Cleaner Tool, option 3, option1, renamed the OOBE folders, restared Windows, ran exe file again. Failes repeatedly. Comes up with a blank white space, blue wheel spins a few times then stops, and stays like that. If you click in the white space, then it just goes black!!!

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App not loading certain pages

    Hello,
The Creative Cloud Desktop app is not loading the Home, Files, and Fonts pages. The only thing I get is the loading graphic spinning away. I've tried signing out then in, quitting the app, restarting the machine, renaming the OPM file to old, tried turning File and Font sync off - which it doesn't seem to do, checked the internet connection without any difference. The Cloud status page says everything is good.
I'm on an iMac running the GM of Mavericks. I've been running Mavericks beta for awhile and haven't had any trouble previously.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get to those pages?
    Thank you!
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
Does reinstalling the Creative Cloud app make any difference? There is an uninstaller in the Creative Cloud app folder in Applications. Also, does the same thing happen in a newly created admin account?

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App Slows All Browsers

True for both Chrome and Safari on a Mac, one running Mavericks and one running Lion. When Creative Cloud is active in the menu bar, the browsers slow down so much I can't even type an address in the menu bar without minutes of lag. Not seconds, MINUTES.
I always have a browser open, and I want to be able to use Typekit fonts on my desktop through Creative Cloud - but now I can't do both. This has serious consequences for my work flow.
I've tested this thoroughly, and it comes down to one thing: I can run a browser, OR I can run Creative Cloud Desktop. I can't run both. Please fix this, Adobe!!!
    UPDATE:
The only way to get my system back to normal was to (yet again) uninstall the Creative Cloud Desktop app, run the cleaner, and re-install it. Simply deactivating the Typekit fonts still left me with a laggy, hanging, slow CC app. So - the problem is either Typekit or the CC app, or a combination of the two. What a freaking pain. This stuff is supposed to just work.

    Hi J,
I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. This is the first we've heard of this issue. However, I'd like to see if we can figure out what's causing it. Would you be able to drop us a line at: [email protected]?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  • Why won't the Creative Cloud Desktop App Work??

I have been trying for 2 weeks to get Creative Cloud to update to the CC versions from CS6 versions.  I've tried all the different methods I've found on the Forums.  Deleted the OOBE directory, tried to download directly from the Download page.  Nothing works!  the CCDesktop app is just a blank page - i've deleted and reinstalled the app at least 15 times - still a blank window for the CC Desktop app.  Does anyone have a workable solution?  I am running a 2011 iMac 27' 3.1 GHZ i5 core with OS 10.9.1
    Jim

I'm having the same really frustrating issue. Did the link below help you at all? It did nothing for me. This problem with the creative cloud desktop being blank happened as soon as I installed the latest update for it. Ever since then, it's been blank, and thus, worthless to me.

  • My creative cloud desktop app does not show the programmes installed

My creative cloud desktop app does not show the programmes installed so I cant update lightroom or any other programme, have unistalled and reinstalled but no change

    Hi Roni-
If you updated the desktop installer and the screen is blank: try this:
    Rename the opm.db file.
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db
    Launch Creative Cloud
