Encontrei a solucão!
Agora apenas preciso verificar o funcionamento do cooler..

  • Using Mavericks for the first time, day two- heeeelp!

OK, long story short:  old MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard went to Apple Heaven and new MacBook Pro with Mavericks (also is a 15" 2.3GHz i7 512GB flash drive machine with 16GB RAM) got a "data transplant" via Migration Assistant or whatever it is called.
The new MacBook Pro essentially took all the data and all my settings/preferences as well as my crucial software which is disk-loaded (I bought an external drive, arrived today), rejecting only what was incompatible (unfortunately my Oldie But Goodie Photoshop).
    So far, so good.
Now-  learning curve aside- there is weird behaviour going on:
    1.  The (Chrome) browser screens disappear if internet connection is lost but this is not shown in the wifi so I am never sure if it is loss of Broadband or loss of wifi.  I personally blame BT for this because, after 22 weeks of rubbish service, I know that the connection is less than ideal.  Is this normal behaviour?  Then-
    2.  there was a weird buzz like alarm noise, quite loud from near the palm rest on the left which nearly gave me a heart attack (I am now exceedingly stressed over the matter of breakdown, repair, and another breakdown of my main machine which I had to pay for and then anyway replace).  Should I be worried?
    3.  Final Cut Pro's Compressor is failing on export (I have posted on that forum, after trying the cleaning up of settings and trashing preferences).  Does anyone know how best to uninstall software on Mavericks without completely making a guddle of it?  So that I can reinstall, from the disks and see if I can cure the problem, or is that not even recommended/necessary?
    4.  Clicking a link in Mail will open TWO browser instances since I agreed to the incessant prompts to update software (yes, it restarted).  I hope that this is a passing phase because it is like it is launching as many windows as clicks for an apparently unresponsive link...?  Does that make sense?  And-
    5.  My user folder has a "1" after it, probably because it is a duplicate of the one from the old Mac?  Can I get rid of that "1" or am I stuck with it?  I wish I had been able to just bring in the applications, my Mail, my iPhoto and some utilities I value.  But the option to migrate is very all (with just three or four option) or nothing.
Finally-  signing into the forum after viewing as a guest doesn't work first time.  I end up having to press "sign in" a few times to see my name pop up.  And even then I still cannot go into some threads without me being "signed out" again.
Folks-  thank you for reading.  I love Snow Leopard, never thought that I would end up with having to use Mavericks with ZERO time to adapt (as is Sod's Law-  I have a client with a deadline who has already been waiting three weeks due to the demise of my main Mac) and ANY help coping is immensely appreciated.

    1.  I assume that that suggests that it is not normal for a browser window to respond with minimisation?  It is just weird when a window just disappears, no reason given (and since there is no obvious loss of internet it can take you by chance)
    2.  Good that you ask.  No, it hasn't.  I meant to say when I first posted.
    3.  Thanks, I gather that.  It is just that Mavericks is so different from what I am used to.  Sigh...
    4.  It has calmed down but there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to it.  Forgot to mention that I had my first ever crash of Final Cut Pro since I have been using it nearly daily for four years.  I even had Chrome crash on me in mid-upload (drat, drat, drat!).  I don't click or plough on- I stop, think and consider. Hence me posting.  Mavericks is just not as "smooth" as Snow Leopard to me.
    5.  Yes, I understand.  I just wish it would show me both instead of just the one with the "1".
Tell me about it!  It is impossible, I came here to answer via the link in the emailed notification, was already signed out and signed in and was returned to the front page.  Had to go back to my Mail, click the link again and this time, luckily, I was signed in.  In other words- the session is impossibly short and signing in doesn't return you to the browser window you were but rather returns you to the front.  Meh.

  • ITunes 10.7 and AS working perfectly on Mavericks! But now I want to add an iPod-

Somehow— I don't know how or why— my computer running Mavericks is completely happy with iTunes 10.7 installed, and the App Store apparently works perfectly! I'm very, very happy about this (and happy with Apple lately for other reasons) because I don't like iTunes 11.
My question is, in previous installations neither the App Store nor my 2011 iPod Touch would work under iTunes 10.7 and Mavericks, and I had always assumed they were probably broken for the same various reasons (e.g., the CoreFP.framework, etc.). Since the App Store suddenly works on this new installation despite having iTunes 10.7, will adding my iPod 1) work also, 2) work also but screw something up such as the App Store, 3) not work, or 4) not work and screw up the App Store. Currently, I use a different ancient laptop to sync with and I ferry content over as I need to— I would truly be in heaven if I could use it with the new computer, but I absolutely don't want to risk losing the perfection I now have… I'd rather have this crippled, complicated iPod problem instead.
In addition, I'd be perfectly happy with reverting my iPod system software back to whatever best version that will let me do this, assuming that's even possible. If this approach is a good idea, what ios system version do I want (that is happy with 10.7)
    Thank you

You, the computer operator, are the main user of iTunes. You can sync some or all of your library to as many devices as you have. Each can have different selections of content.

  • My 2008 iMac will get to the white boot up screen and has the loading circle and then it will freeze. And will freeze when attempting to boot recovery or bootable disc of Mavericks

Hi there, I have a 2008 iMac 24' 3.06 Intel Duo with 4gb ram. And yesterday it was working totally fine and jolly with no issues. Then I noticed there was an OS X update for Mavericks, so I finally decided to do it, and once it was rebooted it went to like the grey screen and I could move my mouse, just nothing else was there. So I tried to restart it, and then it booted up, but was really laggy, and so I decided to restart it and try again, this time the iMac froze at the login. So I decided to take it apart, pull the 500gb hard drive, connect it to my MacBook Pro, and then formatted it in Disc Utility. From there, I opened the Mavericks installer on my MacBook and then installed it to the iMac's hard drive via usb hard drive enclosement. And once the install of Mavericks was completed, I put the hard drive back into the iMac and tried to boot it. It now boots up to the white screen with the Apple and the loading circle underneath the Apple and then it freezes and doesn't go any further. So then once that happened, I turned it off and tried to boot it into recovery mode. Then it freezes on the screen with the Apple and loading circle below it. Then out of desperation, tried to use a bootable disc of Mavericks to see if i can at least get the iMac to boot up again, with no success. It froze at the same point again. So now I reach out to the Apple Community to see if anyone else has an idea on what I can do or if anyone had this issue and what they did to resolve it. Any help would be great. Thanks.

mddcfilms and Pat75, I'm having precisely this same issue -- no booting but spinning and freezing gear under the Apple logo. Have either of you come to a resolution? Here are my details:
    iMac, Early 2008, 24”, 3.06 GHz, 4GB
September 2013: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GS GPU repaired, HDD replaced with Western Digital 2TB
21 April 2014: Erased HDD with Disk Utility on Mavericks USB; clean installation of Mavericks from the USB. Process completed without issue, including registration process. After a minute or two of poking around, machine shut down immediately (not through the shut-down process).
Since then it will not boot up. Grey screen and Apple logo appear, with gear spinning; the gear freezes, then the machine tries to boot up again. Occasionally I’ll hear “To use English for the main language, press the return key.”
I’ve tried booting into Safe Mode; same gear freeze and restart.
I’ve tried booting to the 10.9 Recovery disk; same gear freeze and restart.
Tried booting from Mavericks USB; same freeze and restart.
Tried booting from 10.6.3 DVD; same freeze and restart.
Ran Apple Service Toolkit (at Stormfront in the UK), which turned up nothing in error.
Started in single-user mode to test HDD and RAM, which are fine.
Started in verbose mode to check logs; some error messages but nothing seems crucial. After the log screen, the grey screen and Apple logo appear, gear spins, and then freeze.
Cannot get to Apple Hardware Test (vintage machine too old?)
Cannot get to Target Disk Mode with my MacBook Pro
Ideas: Potential booting flaw in Mavericks installation. Firmware incompatibility with Mavericks. Hardware issue in Nvidia GPU (known for problems). At the moment I'm hoping that it's a Mavericks installation or firmware issue, though I suspect the Nvidia GPU has blown up on me. These graphics cards are known for being pieces of junk, so I may try installing the lower spec ATI Radeon 2600 GPU if I can find one at a reasonable price.
Anybody else have precisely these problems or have any advice?

  • HT201364 Mac Mini OS X 10.6.8 trying to download OS X Mavericks

When trying to click on the install app button from the apple store it just says.  Error says "We could not complete your purchase" OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer."  Yet it meets the system requirements page. I get stuck in this looping link rollercoster.
Secondly  If I don't want OS X Mavericks and just want to go to the next version back is that possible?  Though I have Mountian Lion in my purchase history I can't download it anymore.  I get not available in the US store.
Should I try doing a clean install? via: http://www.macworld.com/article/2056543/installing-mavericks-our-complete-guide. html
Also I have read many posts that to ignore the 2GB requirement as this should really be 4GB.  If that is case why doesn't Apple change the system specs. Could this be preventing the download from starting in the App Store?  If Mavericks isn't the right choice for this speciifc hardware what is the best OS X version that I could run XCode on?  I know this machine is slow hardware.   Whould it be worth while if going to OS X Mavericks if I was able to increase the memory? Or should I just be looking at new hardware all together?   Just looking for the least expensive route to be able to access xcode from this hardware.

  • After updating to Maverick, iMovie doesn't appear

Well my issue is that after updating the OS to Maverick, iMovie completely disappeared from the Applications, and from the dock it appears a white/grey question mark. I never delete iMovie, and iMovie came with my MAcbookPro since I bought it. What has happened? Is there anything I can do to recover it?
    Thanx

Hi QuickTimeKirk, thanx for your reply.... I tought about it... but, I don't know the version previuosly installed in my Mac. It could be a previous one since I bought it in 2010, but i never had a warning to update it throughout these years.... and since last update to Maverick, in late february of this year, everything is gone.
I'm trying to recover the old iMovie, but it seems that my Mac doesn't recognize the Applications Install DVD.
    Any suggestions???
    thanx in adavance

  • "Cannot complete your request because of a program error" again!

Using PhotoshopCS4 on a newish iMac, 8gb, with Mavericks, "Cannot complete your request because of a program error" regularly appears but, so far as I can see, only if no file is open. Any ideas on how to stop this irritating behaviour? Most usual things tried, trash preferences, reinstall, validify fonts etc. All ideas welcome!

It may have something to do with the way a .psd file is built. My suspicion is that the problem originates when I drag and drop vector art from a .ai file into the .psd document.
This seems rather unlikely to me.
Is there anything else special about the files (additional alpha-channels, 16bit, …)?
What have you done with regard to trouble-shooting and maintenance-routines so far (trashing prefs, repairing permissions etc.)?

  • Installing Mavericks??

    Hello:
Do I have to have 10.6.8 installed in order to download & install Mavericks?
In the past few weeks I have run ClamX several times and found a Trojan.  It has since been deleated - however I'm not sure that it did not cause
any to happen to the OS.   I was thinkg of doing a wipe oif the HD and then downloading & installing Mavericks - not sure if doing this is possible
    so I wanted to ask.
I would greatly appreciate any input on this.
    Thanks.

When you say, I will already have a working OS to replace, does that mean Mavericks is just replacing Snow Leopard?
Yes, Mavericks will completely replace Snow Leopard.
Is getting Mavericks through the App. Store, the same type of installation as if it was being installed from a DVD?
More or less. You can read a description of the process at Macworld Installing Mavericks: What you need to know.
How would I go about making an installer DVD from the installer app?
Much easier to copy to a USB drive. Either just the Installer or once you upgrade to Mavericks you can create a bootable USB drive using DiskMakerX. Unfortunately the developer has not figure out how to make one running Snow Leopard.
Also, my connection is through DSL, so I'm guessing the download will take several hours.
Yes. The current verions is 5.34 GB.

  • Is my e2500 router compatible with mavericks?

I am trying to reset my linksys e2500 wireless router and when i run the disc it tells me that I am not up to date.  Is this router not compatible with Mavericks??

    Am using Mac Pro 5,1.
The drop outs to internet happen when connected to a DSL modem via my Asante router.  All connections are ethernet; not using wireless.
When I connect directly via ethernet to my Qwest DSL modem, and bypas the router, no problem.
Drop outs while Safari is open, or Google Chrome is open, can occur anytime. If Google Chrome and Safari are both open at the same time, internet dropout occurs for both simultaneously.  They occur after waking from sleep also.
I can get back internet connectivity in both Chrome and Safari by unplugging the DC power to the Asante router for 5 seconds, and plugging the power back in; internet connectivity resumes instantly in both Chrome and Safari.
So the problem is not isolated to Safari.
The problem seems isolated to my Mavericks install completed yesterday because:
This same Mac Pro running Win 8.1 from a separate SSD and separate boot to Win 8.1 through the router does not have the problem.
My tenant downstairs running Win 7 through the router does not have any connection problems.
There were no internet drop outs when connected to DSL modem via this same router when I ran Mountain Lion.
Sparky, can you describe a "step-by-step" on how you reset your IP address, etc?
Is this a "handshaking problem" between Mavericks and my router?
Do others have suggestions for solution paths to try?
    Will report back right away.
    Thank you.

  • Does Silverlight aborted download cause problems for Mavericks?

Prior to Apple's repair/rebuild of my iMac, I at one point I decided to download Silverlight because I couldn't view something using what came with iMac.  Then when I learned that Silverlight doesn't play well with Mac, I did not install Silverlight, instead discarding it.  It seemed to cause my APC UPS unit to click on and off more than usual when the monitor and/or computer was asleep.
After the rebuild - which appears to have successfully addressed numerous kernel panics, I did not toy with Silverlight for 2-3 months.  Just recently I found myself wanting to use Silverlight because something on the web wouldn't be accessible without it.  I had forgotten the earlier incident and only remembered it when again I had I had already downloaded it.  Again, I decided not to install it, and instead trashed it.  The UPS unit seems to be returning somewhat to its old behavior.
Given the fact that Mavericks never completely sleeps and that Apple and Adobe do things in the background even when I am not using the computer, the UPS behavior might have another explanation.  I am just trying to find out if anyone out there has experienced similar UPS behavior after a comparable aborted download of Silverlight?

What if you try deleting the /Library/Printer/EPSON and the/Library/Caches/Epson/ folders and then reinstalling the updates?
The scanner is shown as supported on

    Hope this helps.

  • IWork '09 on Mavericks

After upgrading to Mavericks my complete iWork '09 don't open anymore, e.g. when opening pages "Pages cannot be openend because of a problem." I'm also not able to upgrade to any newer version of Pages, Numbers or Keynote. What can I do?

First of all: I installed the iWork 09 Suite last week on Mountain Lion. I upgraded to Mavericks and the Apps doesn't work anymore. I installed the iWork 9.3 Patch as you recommended. The iWork-Apps started and ask me if I want to update to the newer version. I clicked "yes" but nothing happend.
When I now go to the App Store it still shows me only the purchase option. When I click "purchase" then it says "you already installed a version not from the Appstore, do you really want to purchase?"
So I'm still not able to upgrade. Is there any possibility to fix that?

  • Mavericks stuck at logo screen

    I have a macbook white late 2009
    Downloaded mavericks
Installed mavericks which went fine till last restart
Heard the chime start tune, apple logo appears, turning wheel appears and disapears.
The arrow appears and then nothing.
I can move the arrow but there's nothing to click on
The only working keys are forced shutdown (holding the startbutton) or the restart combination (cmd cntrl start)
Tried re-installing it using recovery disk (holding alt during start computer)
    Out of ideas now...
    Somebody has any?
    Thx

This is what I did. Not really a good solution but I'm running Mavericks now
    1) I hadn't done a backup for over 200 days and I couldn't afford to lose everything
    2) Press cmd+r during start up
    3) Plug in external hard disk
    4) Choose disk you want to copy as source
    5) Choose external hard disk as goal
    6) copy
    7) erase complete disk you copied
    8) restart, cmd+r and re-install mavericks
    9) complete instalation steps
    10) copy manually documents,photos,music,... From external hard disk
Like I said, not a perfect solution but at least I got my macbook up and running again
