OS X time not updating

Hi Guys,
I am experiencing a weird problem which I do not find a solution for. The time in my menubar does not get updated. It only does if I click on it and the submenu expands. See images (first image no action taken, second image I clicked on the time) and notice the mismatch between the system preferences menu time display which is correct and the incorrect time display in the menu bar.
1) 17:26 vs 17:27 incorrect display
2) On click it updates correctly (only once, keeps stuck on that value than)
The problem solved itself by rebooting, but then reappeared out of nothing. It's kind of nasty if you cannot trust your time display :-/

Please help us on this. After customer successfully logged in the webshop, we are checking the table USR02 in CRM system and the Logon date and Logon time is not updated. Because of this, the customer will be locked after certain number of days. When we check it in ECC system, customer's last logon date and time is updated. Can you tell us what could be causing this? Any advise what we need to check? Thanks in advance!

1. Please check if the USAPPLREF table in ECC has the correct mapping done between the LOGON User and the Sold-to party (Customer)
2. Please check the validity of those user in SU01 user data.
3. Please check the USERS data from the USERADMIN Link (if it is configured in your scenario through XCM settings for USERS)

Why are the date and time not updating in backups.backupdb folder?

I just started using Time Machine on my early 2011 MacBook Pro running 10.7.2. After the initial full back-up and first few updates, the backup folder (on an external 1.5 TB Firewire drive) continues to show the original "date modified" of the very first back-up and lists the size as a ridiculous 2.48 GB. (Using BackupLoupe, I know it actually is 280 GB, reflecting the size of my internal HD). Any idea why this folder's info is not updating in the finder (even using "Get Info")? Are my back-ups really there? (It certainly seems so according to BackupLoupe).

First, the best way to view or restore from your backups is via the Time Machine display, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #15. Using the Finder is not recommended.
Do not worry about the dates. First, the date modified only applies to the "parent" folder; that's not the Backups.backupdb folder, but the one inside it that's named for your Mac.
Don't worry about the sizes, either. On Leopard and Snow Leopard, the size of a backup folder was the total size of all the items that were on your Mac at the time of that backup (less exclusions). On Lion, however, it's the "unique size" -- the size of items that appear only on that backup.

RUEI 12.1.0.3.0 - Collectors Status Okay but Last Update time not updated

Under System > Status > Collectors Status
Status shows OK but Last Update Time is not updated. The last update time is frozen.
Anyone has a similar experience? Would someone help, please?

that seems odd indeed. would not know the cause or any sensibl explaination unless I have system details, Can you pls file an SR for this issue and upload the helpdesk file to the SR?
a helpdesk file is created under system >>maintenance>>helpdesk report
It will create a zip file that we can read in support, see the events the system is capturing, analyze your configuration. Time not updating immediately

I've noticed that the time is not updating immediately or accurately when I turn on my phone. It started about a week ago. When the screen first comes up, it will show something like 4:57, then quickly changed to 5:33, however, the correct time will be 5:43. It continues to keep time, but can take 10-15 minutes to finally sync to the correct time. Very annoying. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution?
Additional info: Just had original iPhone replaced at Apple Store with another original. Software is 2.0.2

still experiencing the problem with the delayed or out of sync time and also having the issues of not receiving phone calls, text messages, and voice mail messages at the time of call or when the phone is on. time is usually 12 - 27 minutes slow, i've actually clicked the top button and the time showed 1:27PM and noticed I missed the call at the same time. essentially, i am not receiving my phone calls (i literally answer about 1 out of every 9 calls). the genius bar is no help, giving me the good ol suggestion of "replacing" my phone for a mere "$199" when they really should be saying, get a new phone. if you have the same problem with the 2G iPhone, I implore you to add your story about your problem to the thread.

Time not updating

my mac time is not updating..i dual boot with windows thus the time gets screwed..usually, after osx partition is booted, the time will be updated..but for recently..it just stop updating..its not very important but annoying..does anyone have any idea whats going on..thanks in advance..and btw, firewall is off =)

Does the 'reach' column of the output of this Terminal command show 1 or greater? any change with a different server specified?

Imac w/ maverick, time not updating

Been having a weird problem for a while. I have an imac , running os x mavericks. When I wake from sleep, I have the wrong time. It is often just a few minutes off, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes. But it won't update until I go into the date & time system preferences. It will then update the time automatically, or sometimes I need to deselect and reselect the automatic time & date feature.
Any hints on how to correct this issue? I've never had this problem before. Seems like the time is not updating when the imac is sleeping.

Launch the Terminal app in /Applications/Utilities/, copy & paste this command into the window that pops up, and hit the return key:
*defaults read /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences*
CMD+F, enter "com.apple.preferences.timezone.selected_city"", and hit the Next key.
Peruse that section and ensure that it matches what you selected in the Date & Time prefPane.

'Transit time' not updated in Sales orders.

We have maintained '20.00' days for the Route.
Then the Sales order got created and the same route has been determined.
But while i checking the schedule line - shipping details.
The Transit time not reflected in the Sales order...
All those GI date/Loading date/MAD/TPD...etc, still the same date as Delivery date.
Hope kindly advise, why the 20 transit days not updated in Sales order??

System Time Not Updating When Sleeping.

If I put my iMac to sleep, the system time does not appear to be updated until I manually wake the computer. For example, it I put the computer to sleep at 1:00PM and then manually wake it up 15 minutes later the system clock will display 1:00PM for the first few seconds and then jump to 1:15PM.
The only reason this is a problem is my scheduled wake ups are not working and i suspect this behavior may have something to do with it. Is this normal behavior?

Home hub 3 time not updating

Hello, every since the clocks have gone forward the time on my router has stayed the same. Isn't it meant to auto update? I have tried restarting it and this doesn't help. The reason I'm asking about this problem is that it throws off all the other functions like power save mode by an hour which can be inconvenient at times.

I have upgraded to the new operating system but the time on the top left bar stopped updating.

thanks for looking into this and sorry for coming back only now. the issue is resolved opening activity monitor and quiting hi usage process. its a bug (another one) that needs to be ironed out...

Systemd, ntp, time not updated on boot/shutdown [Solved]

Hi,
I'm using systemd with native config files.
I've enabled the ntpd.service but for some reason when I reboot my laptop the time is wrong. After 11 minutes (the ntpd default I believe), the time corrects itself. However, this is lost on the next reboot.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Your kernel should set the RTC time from the systemtime automatically every 11 minutes, as long as it knows you are synced with ntp.
However, it will not do this if you are off by more than 15 minutes (this is to not mess with time zones, in case your RTC is not in UTC). To solve the problem, force-set the RTC manually once, and then it should start correcting itself again.

Planned delivery time not updating real time in apo

I have a location product which is part of the active integration model.
The location and product are both available in ECC and APO.
When i change the value of Planned delivery time in ECC, the changes do not get transfered to APO even after RIMODINI.
For e.g. the planned delivery time currently is 1 day and it is changed to 3 days, even after doing RIMODINI the changes are not reflected in APO.
Kindly suggest if somebody has come across this issue earlier.

Please check by tcode CFM5 weather material is there in IM or not .
Also check CFG1 log on R/3 and SLG1 or /SAPAPO/C3 or /SAPAPO/CQ in APO.

Automatic Time not updating accurately

I'm using a new iPhone 3G, software version 2.0 (5A345).
I notice frequently that them clock on my iPhone is 23-24 minutes behind. I have both my phone and my computer set to auto-update the clock from the network, and the phone is lagging behind the computer. For instance, at the moment, my computer says 10:07pm, and my phone says 9:44pm. Both are set to be Cupertino, CA as the time zone.
Sometimes the phone displays the correct time. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

i had the same problem as well and it was driving me batty as my phone would be up to 60 minutes behind. i went to the apple store three times before they replaced the phone (2.5G) completely for me. my first two visits, they tried and i was told to restore the iphone various ways (via itunes, manually erasing all data and settings, etc). when all that didn't work, the 3rd bar genius said it was probably a hardware problem. even though i was out of warranty for about two weeks during my initial visit, the genius was nice enough to have my phone replaced. no more clock issues.

Itunes 8 downloads ok but won't install (not updating)

Hi everyone.
Got an ipod for xmas, downloaded itunes 8 for 1st time (not updating), downloads ok, but when opening install program, "open file - security warning" dialog box opens, i click on run, the "unidentified program wants access to your computer" dialog box opens, i click the allow button, i get the 'thinking' cursor for 1 second then nothing happens.
I'm running it as an adminstrator, i've tried running the program in xp service pack 2 mode, i've redownloaded it 3 times, same thing every time i try. not a 64bit machine, i get no errors, it just does nothing.
The file i download is 67,146kb so something is actually there, can anybody please help, this is frustrating and my new ipod is a paperweight.

Yes i have a 32bit version of windows vista (premium)
Yes i downloaded itunes from the apple site, saved it and when i try to run it i get the hourglass for 1 second then nothing.
Looked in the task manager and nothing is running.
Never had any problem installing anything else or anything windows related.
I have spybot (rescanning now) and my antivirus is Nod32 so no risk of anything there. I even tried installing in safe mode, but no luck.
I am running firefox, not I.E. but that shouldn't matter.
I realize this is where people with problems come to gripe, but there seems to me to be a LOT of problems associated with itunes?

While typing this, i was downloading Quicktime from the link you sent to test if that works, the file I've downloaded was named itunes setup(2) shouldn't it be quicktime?????? Guess it automatically called it (2) cause i already got itunes setup in my download folderit's the exact same size as the itunes setup file i've been downloading??????
Now the apple website actually says thanks for downloading Quicktime 7 not a thing about itunes.
Click on the download now link on the site you sent me, http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ wants to download me the itunes file not quicktime??? Try it !!
Maybe the people at apple got on the grog a bit before Christmas???

This is really weird.
