I installed OS X Upd Combo 10.8.3 mountain lion and now my USB ports are not working !! Any help

I would suggest Resetting the PRAM and especially the SMC:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Jan 24, 1984?! OSX Upd Combo 10.10.3

I am at this moment downloading OS X Upd Combo 10.10.3 and the date given with the file on my screen is Jan. 24, 1984! But my MacBookPro tells me that it knows it's Apr 18, 2015. The Yosemite 10.10.3 update strikes again? Any suggestions? I am downloading the Combo update now hoping that it may fix the miscellaneous file permission and other problems I've been having since the update. Will this reinstall work?

That's an Easter Egg. It's the date the original Apple Mac was announced by Steve Jobs. Files that are in the process of downloading are given this date. It is replaced with the real one once downloading is complete.

915P Combo Windows XP setup problem

hello all,
hoping someone can help me with this. I'm trying to install xp at the moment on a 200gb maxtor hard drive connected to my MSI 915p combo FR by IDE. i know to hit f6 during setup and then press S to select the raid driver from the floppy but my computer didn't ship with the floppy disk, only a cd with drivers on. does anyone know where i can find the drivers i need (are they on the cd?) that i should have on a floppy or if there is another way around this? I keep getting a blue screen and the xp setup cannot continue past this point.

Actually, you don't need to do that. You are definately not using RAID anyway if you have just one Hard Drive. Make sure the hard drive is connected to the IDE Port hosted by the Intel ICH6 Chipset (the IDE Port that stands alone).

Hello friends, I have a pc with the following configuration: mobo 915P Combo with a processor pentium 4 530 3.0 ghz, memory kingston 1GB Kit DDR 400 dual channel, psu 500w ATX with connector 20-pin, video card XFX Geforce 6600 256 MB PCI-EXPRESS, sound card audigy 2 zs, hard disk 120 GB seagate 7200 rpm SATA. And I have a problem with the port PCI-Express and my video card, if I install the video card the computer it doesn't start up well, that is to say, it start up and to the 3 seg this shut down automatically and 5 seg later this tries to start up but without success , after several intents this can start up perfect and everything works well . And if I don't install the video card pci-express and I intall my old video card port pci 16 mb Banshee the pc starts up perfect and doesn't have problems. what is the real problem? 1) the video card pci-express, 2) the port pci-express of the mobo, 3)that I have a psu with connector 20-pin? i got same problem as Calvido. My system specification MSI 915G Combo with the lastest bios v1.8 with a processor pentium 4 530 3.0 ghz, memory kingston 1GB DDR 533 dual channel, psu 350w True power, video card Leadtek Geforce 6600 256 MB PCI-EXPRESS, hard disk 120 GB maxtor 7200 rpm SATA. And I have a problem with the PCI-Express, if i use the intergrated graphic intel 900 it dun give me any problem n i used for more than 6mth.
It happen when i try to upgrade my intergrated graphic card to PCI-E. 1st i try with the Inno3D geforce 6600 256mb PCI-E n when my com start until windows it become blank screen for awhile the screen appear again for no more than 1 min became blank again. 2nd try i use Leadtek Geforce 6600 256MB PCI-E it seem alright but when i click on icon it start to delay ...until hang. 1st i thought my OS problem so i format my system, but problem still the same so i repeat format until 7 or 8 times. Problem not solve.
I try to send email to MSI but no reply

StarOffice 8 upd. 8 PDF-export problem

Hello!
After updating my StarOffice 8 installation to Product Update 8 I am no more able to export my documents to PDF. The German error Message is:
Fehler beim Speichern des Dokumentes documentation:
Schreibproblem.
Die Datei konnte nicht geschrieben werden.
in English (after switching locale):
Error saving the document documentation:
Write Error.
The file could not be written.
Before updating I think it worked. Next step I will try is to do a clean reinstall of StarOffice as well as test under Linux.
Windows Vista 64-Bit
StarOffice 8 (Product Update 8)
Java 1.6.03 (x86 as well as x64)
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Windows 7 Combo Jack Realtek driver problem s510p

I'm running Windows 7 on an Ideapad s510p, but the realtek drivers (downloaded from the s510p downloads page) sees one audio input, but thinks it is a headphone out only:
There were a couple of topics with kind of similar problems like this where people got recommended to use an adapter for both. I ordered one but that does not solve the problem, it seems to me that it is a driver problem. I tried the drivers from the s510p downloads page and also from the realtek drivers but both give the same problem, is there any way to fix this?

Okay, I solved the problem. Turns out I was installing the wrong driver from the Realtek website.
The correct driver for VB in my installation is for the AC'97 audio controller.

MSI 651M Combo-L Video Int problems

I have install at MSI 651M Combo-L Windows XP prof+SP1 (Windows 2000 prof+SP3/SP4). After install Video drivers for intergration video, my system is abend with error 0x7F. With using Windows 98 - video is installation and work - good. My BIOS - 1.3, Video Drivers - Driver version: Win2K/XP: 6.14.10.2170.

KMWM Combo-L Power Loss Problem

I'm a custom built pc supplier. I install 30+ computers in a new company. This past weekend they lost power to the office. All 30+ computers were beeping with a blank screen. I turned off the pcs with the power button, but then they wouldn't turn back on. I thought they were all shot. To get them to come back on I removed the power cord from the back of the pcs and waited about 1 minute. After that I plugged them back in and they powered up normally. Has anyone else seen this problem with this motherboard? I can't have customers calling me everytime they loose power to the computers saying that thier pcs are bad.

Windows xp
20 gig WD HDD
Enlight 300w cases
xp2000+ cpu

Couldn't find anything obvious on MS-site about the problem. But does below apply, if you have a computer store?
If not, it has to be motherboard and BIOS related, like returning to last good state or something. Have you noticed any BIOS changes?

Ione GEMINI M1 combo, a mouse hardware problems. [SOLVED]

Hi,
Have someone got this wireless mouse "ione GEMINI M1" it comes with a w. keyboard.
The problem is I touched the battery storage of the mouse with wet hands, I think some drops entered the inside of it.
I tried to open it, but I only got it's front cover where the MB1 and MB2 are, I cannot open it further.
If someone could explain to me how to open or fix it, it will be grateful
(cause I bought 2 new NiCd batteries and it still ain't working [I did charged them, they're now at 1.3 v]).

There were on the bottom 2 holes covered with rubber, I thought that they were plastic attached to the bottom.
Underneath there was a screw .

What I found was a cheap solder, when I touched it, it was like a gum or something, I suppose it's melted or something.

I tried to remove the solder and I succeed, and I applied new solder, but unfortunately it still doesn't work.
I'll try to recharge the batteries again, if not to the junk .

MSI KT2 Combo-L Memory Timing Problem

Currently I have two sticks of Kingston 256MB PC3200 CAS3-3-3-8 ram on this motherboard. (Worked in Dual Channel in my P4P800 at 2.5-2-3-5@PC3200)
Running AMD XP2000+, 266FSB
They're rated to perform fine with 2-2-2-6 timing in PC2100 mode...(checked both datasheets and utilities)
I have already set all these in the BIOS with Command Rate = 1T, FastCommand = Ultra, Bank-Interleave = 4 way
Funny thing is, in CPU-Z or other utilities. I'm getting 2-3-3-6...or RAS to CAS delay = 3, RAS Precharge = 3 instead of both being 2.
Is there any way to fix this problem as I want to set the timing as low as possible...

So i doubt it's just CPU-Z. Even Everest and Sandra report the same thing.
The funny thing is that it wouldn't lower it anymore even tho I chose all the lowest values...On my other AMD machine, I could lower it all to 2-2-2-6. This is the reason I'm asking.

Msi 915G combo-fr memory readout problem

well i bought this ram which is capable of running at 533 mhz at 3224 timing or 700 mhz at 43312 timing so i buy it right and i buy this board so ever thing boots up but it reads it as 400 so i go in bios and put it to 533 but it still says 400 when boot. i think there needs to be a bios update and also when i raid fsb frequency is raises the fsb above 533 but it doesnt give me that fsb eather it over clocks from 400 so if i have 250 fsb it will make it 500 witch is under the miniumum setting for my ram so what could be done to fix this i think is bios programmer guys at msi provide bios update with a forcable memory fsb option that raises or lowers by typing in or raising 1 mhz at a time link to memory http://www.techniz.co.uk/modules.php?name=Reviews&rop=showcontent&id=186

Please read the Forum Rules. You are asking to speak with someone from MSI and there aren't any that visit here.
You are asking for a memory clock that is totally independent from the cpu clock. That will not work; they have to run at a fixed ratio. No bios change can possible "fix" the physically impossible.
Your best memory performance is when the two clocks run syncrhonously, which for your cpu is 400. The ram you have purchased would be suitable for a 1066 FSB cpu and board without overclocking, or it is great stuff for overclocking.

KM2M Combo L MS-6738 Problem with Duron 850 Morgan

Hello!
I have just re-lived an old KM2M I Warp L (6738) with a processor Duron 850 Morgan.
However, when boot the system, the screen shows Mobile AMD Duron 500.
The motherboard has the last BIOS in the web site of MSI (W6738VMS.140) but I don't find an option to change the multiplier or to leave it in AUTO (the jumper of FSB is in 100Mhz).
I cannot believe that this motherboard doesn't recognize a Duron Morgan 850 correctly !
Does some solution exist? ...

The strange thing is that there it figures that the motherboard supports Duron Morgan from 1.1 Ghz (anything says about the Duron Spitfire) and, however, today I have placed a Duron Spitfire 750 Mhz and this if it is recognized as such!
I believe that this reveals that a deficiency exists in the regressive compatibility of CPU's of this mobo!...

915P Combo 2 F Ethernet problems

Recently Ive had some issues at my house with wireless interference. Its been a while since Ive used my ethernet port and I have having issues with windows not knowing its installed. This is onboard so I would think it should find it with a hardware scan and it doesn't. When I installed the Realtec utliltly it didnt show any component at all.
Im confused because all the LEDs on port are flickering like crazy but there seems to be nothing in my XP OS that would conferm it even existing. What is going on?

If that is the case and it still does not work, try this:
Go to Device manager
Point to View -> Show hidden devices
Scroll down to network interfaces and have a look for the Realtek NIC or some other networking NIC you don't recognize.
If you find something, right click and select Uninstall. (Be careful, however, there's a lot of stuff in there. Don't uninstall everything! Be sure that you are uninstalling a hardware driver!)
Reboot and retry installing the Realtek drivers.

Combo x48 8448A firmware problem?

A friend of mine recently purchased MSI Conbo 8448A, but it does not record a lot types of CDs, I tried to find newer firmware for it but i found only or 8448M. Any ideas where to find fo "A" version? For if the firmware for the "M" would work?

915 g Combo + Coolermaster Hyper 48 -- problem !!!!

I've installed this mainboard with a 3.4Ghz 775 Pentium CPU.
I have changed the original cpu fan with a coolermaster hyper 48.
This cooler keeps turning at 3500 (or more rpm) and that's a lot of noise !!
When I change in the bios the type of cpu fan from 4pin to 3pin, the board gives an error : no cpu fan installed.
Does someone knows how the change the cpu fan speed

Maybe you can use SpeedFan to control the speed.
